Disappointing Experience with SeatGeek: Multiple Sales, Poor Customer Service, and Missed Concert
I recently purchased tickets to a concert on SeatGeek and was disappointed with the experience. The website advertised "instant download" for the tickets, but they did not arrive right away. I called customer service and was told that my order was confirmed and that the tickets would arrive in 15 minutes. However, they still did not arrive, so I called again. It took me 30 minutes to reach someone, and they put me on hold to call the seller and confirm the sale. After a long wait, they came back and told me that the seller did not have the tickets and that I was out of luck. By this time, the concert was only an hour and a half away, and I could not find any other tickets that were not double the price.
It seems that SeatGeek allows sellers to put tickets on the site and then wait to see if they can get a better price. This means that they can sell the same tickets to multiple people at different prices and then accept the best offer within 24 hours. There is no penalty for the seller if they deny the other offers. When I asked about the time limit policy for sellers on the same day of the event, the customer service representative had no answer for me. They simply said that they would try to contact the seller and ask them to supply the tickets as soon as possible.
I was very disappointed with SeatGeek's customer service and the way they do business. They knew they were in the wrong, and after I spoke to them, the confirmation emails for my order disappeared, and there was no trace of my purchase. This is a very sketchy way to do business, and I would not recommend using SeatGeek. Instead, I would suggest using StubHub, which does not allow sellers to take multiple offers or sales without penalizing them and compensating the person who purchased the tickets. In the end, I missed the concert and learned a valuable lesson. I hope this does not happen to anyone else because it ruined our entire trip.
Buyer Beware: My Frustrating Experience with SeatGeek/Ticketmaster
I recently had an experience with SeatGeek (seatgeek.com) that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I purchased two tickets to a venue for $799 each, plus a 20% handling fee, through SeatGeek, which is owned and operated by Ticketmaster. I received an invoice and QR codes for the seats, but three days later, I received an email stating that the seats were no longer valid and asking for my PayPal email address to process a refund.
The problem was that I had used my Visa credit card to make the purchase and did not have a PayPal account. I tried to find a customer service phone number on the internet, but it took me multiple attempts before I finally reached an agent. The agent was polite and courteous, but when I asked about what had happened with the tickets, she kept talking in circles. She suggested that I roll my payment into an American Express gift card so that I could repurchase the tickets, as American Express was the sponsor of the performance and that's how it had to be processed.
I felt uncomfortable with this suggestion and told her I needed time to think about it. The next day, I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. The same agent answered, but she promptly connected me with a person who said he was the supervisor. However, he also kept talking in circles and kept saying something about me not having purchased insurance, which I didn't understand. I asked for a logical explanation as to why I lost my purchased tickets, but I only got answers that went around in circles. Finally, in frustration, I raised my voice, and the supervisor hung up on me.
To make matters worse, the exact tickets were relisted on Ticketmaster for $999 each, before handling charges. It was clear that whoever listed them did not follow the rules and regulations set by SeatGeek/Ticketmaster, which clearly state that sellers are forbidden to cancel an order with a buyer once purchased to relist at a higher price. However, SeatGeek/Ticketmaster did nothing to assist me in the matter.
Overall, I would caution buyers to beware of SeatGeek/Ticketmaster. They set rules and regulations, but they do not follow or enforce them. My experience left me feeling frustrated and disappointed, and I would not recommend this operation to others.
Disappointed with SeatGeek's Lack of Notification for Game Change
I gotta say, I'm not too thrilled with SeatGeek right now. My daughter is a huge basketball fan and we wanted to surprise her with tickets to see UConn play at Temple. It's a bit of a drive from our house, but we figured it would be worth it to see her face light up when she found out. We bought the tickets through SeatGeek as a Christmas gift, but unfortunately, things didn't go as planned.
Due to some bad weather in our area, the game got moved up a day. We had no idea this had happened until my husband was checking his sports apps and saw a score for the UConn vs. Temple game. We were confused and thought we must have written down the wrong date, but when we checked the schedule, we saw that the game had been moved up a day. We were pretty upset about this, especially since we hadn't been notified of the change.
When we called SeatGeek to ask for a refund, they told us that they had sent us an email about the change. My husband didn't receive the email, but we did find it in his spam folder later on. It was time-stamped less than 24 hours before the new date and time of the game, which didn't give us much time to make other plans. We understand that SeatGeek can't control the weather or the game schedule, but we feel like we should have been notified sooner and given the option to get a refund.
We're still waiting to hear back from a supervisor at SeatGeek, but so far, things aren't looking too promising. As first-time users of the site, we're pretty disappointed with the experience. We just wanted to give our daughter a special gift and now we're left scrambling to find something else to do. Hopefully, SeatGeek will make things right, but we'll have to wait and see.
SeatGeek Review: Terrible Customer Service and No Refund for Cancelled Tickets
I had a really bad experience with SeatGeek. I was trying to buy tickets for my best friend's birthday present, and we were really excited to see a concert at the LA Forum. I was waiting for the tickets to arrive, but they never did. I tried to call SeatGeek, but there was no phone number to be found. The only way to contact them was through email, and when I did, they were closed. I was really worried and upset, and I didn't know what to do.
I tried to contact the seller directly, but I couldn't find any clues in my email to tell me who the seller was or how to contact them. I was so embarrassed and disappointed that we couldn't see the concert, and I felt like I had wasted my money.
The next day, I contacted customer service, and they told me that the seller had cancelled and refunded my tickets. But when I checked my statement, I saw that I had been charged for the full amount on April 29th, and there was no indication of any refund. I was really confused and frustrated, and I didn't understand why they hadn't notified me about the cancellation.
I felt like SeatGeek had cheated me out of my money and left me to fend for myself. I was really disappointed in their customer service, and I felt like they had lied to me when they told me that I had been refunded. It was a waste of my time and money, and I wouldn't recommend SeatGeek to anyone.
SeatGeek Review: False Advertising, No Refunds, and Poor Customer Service
SeatGeek is a ticket-selling website that claims to offer easy returns and no-nonsense refunds. However, my recent experience with them has left me feeling scammed and frustrated. Despite their promises, I was unable to get a refund for my tickets, and their customer service was unhelpful and slow.
When I tried to buy two more tickets, I was met with confusion and a complicated process that involved setting up accounts with Ticketmaster and transferring tickets. It was only then that I discovered that refunds were not an option, despite SeatGeek's claims to the contrary. When I tried to speak to a representative, I was told that it would take 24-48 hours for someone to contact me. This was unacceptable, as the show I was trying to get tickets for could sell out or prices could increase in that time.
After three days of calling, chatting, and emailing, I finally spoke to a supervisor. However, they offered me a measly $20 towards my $900 worth of ticket purchases for the inconvenience. This was insulting and did nothing to address the larger issue of SeatGeek's false advertising and poor customer service.
To make matters worse, I discovered that I had been scammed by SeatGeek before. Three years ago, I had purchased tickets from them and was given terrible seats with obstructed views. Despite their promises of great seats, I was stuck in the back row with a pillar in front of me. This experience had made me vow never to use SeatGeek again, but I had forgotten about it until now.
Overall, I would not recommend SeatGeek to anyone. Their false advertising, lack of refunds, and poor customer service make them a terrible company to do business with. I plan on contacting their CEO to let them know about my experience and hope that they will take action to improve their practices. In the meantime, I urge others to go elsewhere for their ticket-buying needs.
SeatGeek Review: Frustrating Experience with Ticket Pick-Up and Customer Service
I recently had an experience with SeatGeek that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. My daughter was visiting for Christmas and we decided to go to the theatre together. I went onto SeatGeek's website and found two tickets for a show we wanted to see at a price we could afford. I purchased the tickets and received a message stating that they would have to be picked up in person and that I would receive an email "soon" telling me where to pick them up.
However, by 2pm that day, I still hadn't received any information about where to pick up the tickets. I called SeatGeek multiple times and each time I was told that they would contact the seller and get back to me. Finally, at the 2pm call, I was given an answer and an email was sent to me stating that I could pick up the tickets at a Money Exchange location at 720 7th Avenue at 48thst between 9am and 10pm. The ticket pick up was four blocks from the theatre and it had been raining all day, so I decided to head over to the pick up location right away so that later in the evening we could go straight to the theatre and not have to wait in line and then walk 4 blocks in the rain.
Unfortunately, when I arrived at the Money Exchange location, the teller informed me that they didn't have the tickets and that the broker hadn't delivered them yet. I was told that I would have to come back two hours before the show started. I was not happy about this, especially since I had paid double the face value of the tickets. SeatGeek said they couldn't do anything until the seller delivered the tickets, and Money Exchange said they were just a middle man and I wasn't allowed to speak with the seller. It was frustrating that no one would take responsibility for delivering the tickets.
I waited and let other people go in front of me. I saw tickets for the show sold to other people for the show I had already bought seats for. I was told that I was being rude for being upset, which was an amazing interpretation of the events. SeatGeek could have helped, but did nothing. Money Exchange could have helped, but instead treated me as unreasonable. I paid over $200 per ticket after fees were added, which was a lot of money for terrible and rude service.
In conclusion, I would not recommend using SeatGeek. Use StubHub instead, even if the tickets are a few bucks more. You won't be subjected to this kind of incompetence and runaround. It's important to note that the face value of each ticket was only $39, so I was paying a significant markup for a terrible experience.
Frustrating Experience with SeatGeek: Unreliable Ticket Seller and Poor Customer Service
I recently purchased tickets from SeatGeek and had a bit of a frustrating experience. The ticket seller was listed as Ticket Network, but I received an email from a company called Song Entertainment saying that they were actually the seller. This was new information to me, but I figured it was no big deal.
However, things started to get a bit more complicated when I noticed that my credit card had been charged twice. Later that day, I received an email from Song Entertainment asking me to provide my address as it couldn't be verified for my credit card. They provided two phone numbers and an email for me to use to update my address.
I tried calling the first number, but it went straight to voicemail. I left a message, but never received a call back. The second number just rang and rang with no answer. I also tried emailing them three times, but never received a response.
When I informed SeatGeek about the situation, they referred me back to Ticket Network. Ticket Network couldn't even get a hold of Song Entertainment themselves, but assured me that they were a reputable ticket seller. They suggested that I email them, as they supposedly reply quickly. However, I never received a response to my emails.
I spent $150 on these tickets and couldn't even reach the seller. SeatGeek and Ticket Network were no help either. It was frustrating to deal with this unprofessionalism, especially since I thought I was buying from a valid company.
I still haven't heard anything from Song Entertainment, despite leaving them a voicemail and calling multiple times. Overall, I think SeatGeek needs to do a better job of vetting their sellers and ensuring that customers have a reliable way to contact them.
SeatGeek Parking Refund
I purchased tickets to the Dallas Stevie Nicks/Billy Joel concert which was rescheduled until 2024 at a time I cannot attend. I also purchased preferred parking for that event.
They refunded the concert tickets after many weeks but now refuse to refund the parking charge stating that it was managed thru a 3rd-party. The parking was purchased on their website and the charge collected by SeatGeek. I feel it is their responsibility for the refund.
When I asked to escalate the complaint, I was told a supervisor would contact me back, but after a week has passed they have not.
I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. We will see if they can help.
Desired outcome: A full refund of my purchase price to my credit card.
Non payment for tickets sold
I have confirmation emails of Rays baseball tickets (2) sold which each say they sent me money and it may take up to 5 business days to receive. I have yet to receive a dime in my account set up for payments. I received confirmation emails of payments on 4/12 for $72, 4/13 for $54, 4/14 for $54, 4/14 for $54, 4/24 for 133.20, 4/24 for $75.60 and 4/26 for $63. Despite waiting for the 5 days as listed, no money has been deposited to my bank account. I have replied to each email requesting someone to help with this and have only received one reply telling me to wait 5 days.
Desired outcome: I want to be paid so I can be done with this company. Are they a scam?
Ticket purchased with seatgeek
I bought two tickets for a concert in July through seatgeek. Over 1400.00 The disclaimer said guaranteed return 72 hours before the show (the show is in JULY). I found cheaper tickets and I asked for a refund but they will not honor that. They will only give a promo code which is not clear to the consumer at any level. They will not reply to my email asking for an escalation. I want a refund or I need to escalate. This is a total scam as the news reports! Order# (6P2-3DP95PR) Morgan Wallen with Hardy, Ernest, and Bailey Zimmerman on 7/15/2023 at 4:00 p.m. PDT. Email is [protected]@yahoo.com
Desired outcome: Refund in full to Affirm.
Bill Joel / Stevie Nicks Dallas Concert on APR 8 2023
I purchased 2 tickets to the Billy Joel / Stevie Nicks concert for APR 8th 2023 in Dallas. the concert was rescheduled for MAR 9, 2024 -- roughly 11 MONTHS later. I want a refund. I do not want to wait an entire year for a concert. I do not want to lose my money since I won't be able to attend next year. That is spring break and we will be out of town.
this is a TOTAL scam. Other ticket retailers / vendors provide refunds if an event is rescheduled for more than 60 days --- WHY CAN'T I get my money back ?
SEATGEEK is a joke. I will never buy thru SEATGEEK again.
Desired outcome: FULL REFUND
Deceitful and false advertising of elton john crocodile rock vip package concert tickets
The Elton John Concert tickets that were advertised, on SeatGeeks website, was false and deceitful.
The Crocodile Rock VIP Package seats were suppose to be within the first 25 rows of the stage, with Elton John merchandise. Neither was delivered at the concert.
Had I not directly contacted SeatGeeks, before the concert, I never would have received the tickets. The advertise seating were not even close to the stage and the merchandise that was suppose to be provide at the concert was delivered two months later.
I did visit Guest Services at the concert and they informed me that they never heard of the Crocodile Rock VIP Package that was advertised in SeatGeeks website.
After the concert SeatGeeks stated in their email “If for some reason venue and guest services where not aware that there was a VIP section or area, that would have to be taken care of with venue services or the organizers.” But never provided any contact informtion and took no responsibility even though I bought the tickets on their website.
SeatGeeks failed to fulfilled their part of the implied contact and are in breach, and I believe violated statutory consumer protection laws and misrepresent and falsely adverted the tickets.
I was hoping SeatGeeks would have corrected this issue, but they took no responsibility for what the third party sold through their website.

BAIT & SWITCH SCAM:
We purchased football tickets and found out AFTERWARDS that the tickets are “standing room only.” However, there was NO mention of this PRIOR to the purchase – our tickets even list a row, section, AND “seat” numbers. This information is 100% dishonest & misleading - total bait & switch scam!
HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Their customer service is absolutely terrible - the only way to contact them is thru email &/or a chat/bot feature on their website. In addition, they will not refund our money - even thought they admitted that the seller didn’t list the tickets correctly! They do not honor their Terms of Use – Buyer Guarantee: “The tickets you receive will be the same as those you ordered.”
YOU ARE A FRAUD, SEATGEEK!
After reading all of the complaints, how is this company still in business?!
Desired outcome: A FULL REFUND! Not a promo code (AKA credit).

Virtual tickets which I was charged for but never received
Scam artists
Virtual tickets which I was charged for but never received.
This is my first time trying Seat Geek and it will be my last. My wife really wanted to go see Elton John on his last tour so we purchased airline tickets, hotel, rental car and had to buy tickets through a reseller which was Seat Geek. The concert was in LA at Dodger stadium. They sent me an email saying that I had claimed my tickets and that I had to go to a third-party website major-league baseball because it was at dodger Stadium. The tickets never showed up in my account. I disputed the charge with American Express and SeatGeek is claiming that because it said the tickets had been accepted that I am responsible for the charges. I talked to the ticket office a Dodger Stadium and they said Seat Geek is notorious for reselling tickets. I was on with customer service for hours before and during the concert and they would not give me the actual seat number, only the aisle and row. I now believe this is because they resold my tickets. If they had done so, maybe the ticket office could've helped me at the stadium.
I have emailed screenshots showing that I did not have any tickets in my MLB account but no one has responded from SeatGeek!
Desired outcome: I just want my money back that I spent for a product that I never received!!
Deceptive site design
I was searching for tickets for an event in Boston on SeatGeek. When I clicked on "show more dates" the site showed dates for both Boston and Grand Prairie, TX. While it did show the names of both venues, I was paying attention to the dates, assuming that was all that had changed. I inadvertently purchased four tickets for Texas rather than Boston. I contacted SeatGeek immediately to let them know of the error - which resulted from their deceptive site design. They refused to refund the amount, and refused to let me list the tickets immediately for sale on their site. I have since received the tickets and listed them on another site, but this whole problem could have been avoided if either SeatGeek had designed their site in accordance for how people actually shop for tickets (who shops for tickets at two venues 1500 miles apart at once?), or was willing to provide a quick refund for tickets purchased in error.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund
Ticketing sales
Nowhere that I could find on SeatGeek's site does it say that sales are final. Thus, I figured I could order a ticket for an event and get a refund if needed. Well, turns out I DID need a refund. Or not even a refund, just a cancellation of my order, since I discovered I needed to do it shortly after ordering and hadn't even been charged yet.
I tried at first to just find a way to request a refund out cancellation. When that returned no results, I searched their FAQ. When I didn't find anything there I searched for a way to contact a support agent. They have no phone number, no email, or any other contact option that I could find initially. I Googled for a number and found one, but upon calling it I received a message that said "this number doesn't work. Try our Help page!" The very page that failed to provide anything for my issue
Finally I did find a chat option which eventually got me to a person. The interaction was as follows:
Me: I need to refund my ticket, or cancel my order.
SG: You can't. All you can do is resell it.
Me: Ok. How do I do that? I didn't see anything to allow me to do so.
SG: You need to search for it.
Me: I'm not sure what you mean.
SG: You can search Google for how to do it.
Me: You mean you can't give me any specific information?
SG: Search Google for how to sell tickets.
And that was about the entirety of the conversation. In short, their purchasing site doesn't tell you all the information, when you try to contact them they make it EXTREMELY difficult, and then we you finally do talk to someone they just tell you to Google your problem and find an answer that way. Worst customer experience of my life, I absolutely will never be using SeatGeek again.
Desired outcome: I just wanted a method of cancelling my order, or some information on what to do if that wasn't an option. Instead I got abrupt answers that told me to just Google my problem.
Cubs Tickets 9/27/2022
Hi,
I purchased two tickets for the Cubs Phillies game on 9/27/2022 from Seat Geek. They were never sent to my mlb ballpark app, which Wrigley Field required for my entry. I printed out the tickets per the instructions on Seat Geek, but the system or owner of tickets never sent them to my ball park app. I was left at the stadium without entry due to not having "received" the tickets.
I ended up buying tickets from a broker on the street.
I was hoping to get my 40 dollars back for the tickets I bought that were not delivered. I don't need the fee monies back, just the 40 bucks.
What can we do?
Thank you,
David
Desired outcome: 40 dollars returned to my credit card for tickets not having been delivered or used for Cubs Phillies on 9/27/2022.
Concert ticket
I purchased three tickets to a concert at Citifield through seat geek. My mom was coming to the concert with my boyfriend and myself. My dad tested positive for covid two days before the concert. We tried to sell her ticket to no avail and could not find anyone to take the ticket. We contacted seat geek and asked if we could get a credit not a refund since it was unsafe for my mom to go as she could be contagious. They said no because it was past 72 hours before. I believe they should be more understanding and flexible when it comes to covid issues.
Desired outcome: All I request is a refund for the one ticket
SeatGeek app
I bought 4 tickets to NFL game. Received e- mail, downloaded SeatGeek app, started my account, logged-in. Tried to get my ticket with barcode etc. But info kept saying "can't send to yourself" so I sent it to my other e-mail and not on my SeatGeek app account info. Got it and accepted the ticket, directed again to " can't send to myself". Oh and not to mention I've reset a password 3 times on passwords I did not forget or type in wrong. And 1 time had a 6 pin security code sent immediately and typed in within one minute and the system said invalid, I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the SeatGeek app, there are no VPN s running, I've sent the other three tickets to family members with no problems, What the F is wrong with your app on this android phone, I'm an 1 1/2 hours on this joke of an app!
Desired outcome: I want my ticket that can be scanned at the venue tomorrow
