It's just ok but expensive
It's a cute little idea. We got one for our kids and Halloween as a surprise and then I sent a Harry Potter one to a friend as a birthday gift. It's more of a novelty kind of thing. One time is plenty so no need to try to get repeat customers.
The cake is just ok. Super small.
What I really don't like is that you try to go buy the box and guess what? Cake is extra $6-10. Ok but there is no option except to have a cake. The place is literally called send a cake so why would it be extra to add the most basic cake when it should be included in the $40 you were already going to pay?
So extra $6 here. Extra $$ over here for a song to play. Extra $$ for butterflies. Always an extra.
Shipping is a TON! And they don't say until you are already almost checked out.
$40 stupid little surprise cake for fun suddenly $70 really quickly.
Fun Surprise!
Think this is the cutest idea! Bet advised the cake is for one person only and small. I will be sending these out to my friends and family. Clever idea!

Not on time delivery
Very disappointed, tried to aire my grievance with the delivery service only to be cut off wanted to surprise my son with a nice remembrance for my first time away for his birthday they failed
Excellent experience and gift
I came across Send a Cake in a Facebook ad and gave it a try for a birthday present for my Mom. Quick and easy to order with lots of options for extras; fairly reasonable price. It arrived exactly one day ahead of time. Mom loved the butterflies and the cake, it's a great surprise for those who are hard to shop for. I 100% recommend them and will definitely shop again.
Send A Cake Review: Late Delivery and Terrible Customer Service
So, I ordered this cake from Send A Cake, and let me tell you, it was a disaster. I specifically requested a certain deliver date, and they couldn't even get that right! I mean, come on! It's not like I was asking for the moon here. And when I called to complain, they put me on hold for an eternity. No one wants to spend an hour of their life waiting for customer support!
But the worst part was when the cake showed up at my door a whole day early. What kind of operation are they running over there? I specifically asked for it to be delivered the next day, but apparently, that was too much to ask for. And to make matters worse, no one was even home to receive it! So there it sat, baking in the sun, totally ruined. And to top it all off, I couldn't even get a response from their customer service team when I tried to email them. Talk about a total letdown.
I understand that mistakes happen, but this was just unacceptable. It's not like I'm out here trying to ruin anyone's day. I just wanted to surprise my sister with a nice cake for her birthday, but instead, I ended up making her feel like nobody cared about her special day. That's just not right! I'm definitely going to take this up with the Better Business Bureau and some other relevant agencies to make sure that no one else has to go through this kind of pain.
Look, I'm not saying that Send A Cake is a terrible company or anything, but they really need to get their act together when it comes to customer service and delivering orders on time. I mean, is that really so much to ask for? I hope they take this review to heart and make some serious changes, because honestly, nobody should have to go through what I did. Thanks for listening to my rant.
Terrible experience: Send A Cake never arrived, wrong address, no refund or replacement offered
I had the absolute worst experience with Send A Cake. The cake never arrived and when I reached out to customer service, it took forever to get a response. Finally, they told me that the cake was sent to the wrong address... in the wrong STATE! I mean, how do you mix that up? By the time I reached out, the birthday had already passed, but I was still willing to accept a replacement cake or a refund. But, they basically told me tough luck, they're not responsible for their own mistakes. Can you believe that? They wouldn't offer a refund or send a new cake. Instead, they suggested that I should hope that the person who received the cake would contact them, so maybe I could go and pick it up myself. What a joke! They also suggested that I could just buy a new cake. Like seriously? Why would I even consider doing business with a company that has such terrible customer service and doesn't even stand behind their own products? This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. Do not waste your time or money with this company. Trust me, you will regret it.
Unreliable delivery dates ruined my surprise birthday cake from Send A Cake - Disappointing Customer Experience
So, I was really excited to surprise my dad with a birthday cake from Send A Cake - I mean, who wouldn't be, right? I chose the birthday explosion cake and picked May 2nd as the delivery date, which was my dad's actual birthday. I was stoked to see the look on his face when he received it.
But then May 2nd came and went, and no cake showed up. I waited until May 5th and still nothing. I was getting really worried, so I sent a bunch of emails trying to find out what was going on. And you know what the response was? Apparently the order confirmation said the cake would be delivered between May 2nd - May 7th - AFTER I'd already paid and placed my order! How was I supposed to know that the actual delivery date would be after the birthday? And even worse, my dad was only at the address I'd sent it to until May 3rd!
And did Send A Cake offer any kind of refund or solution for their mistake? Nope, basically just told me to deal with it and left me hanging. I mean, come on, that's not cool! That's just shady business practices, if you ask me. I wish they would have been up front about the delivery dates before I placed my order, so I could have made an informed decision.
Needless to say, I won't be ordering from Send A Cake again, and I'm warning all my friends and family about their unreliable delivery dates. Don't waste your money like I did - it's just not worth it. Trust me, you'll be disappointed and out a lot of dough.
Send A Cake Exceeded My Expectations!
So, I decided to order the birthday box from Send A Cake for my daughter's birthday. I went all out and added the exploding butterflies, a light up musical cake stand, and a strawberry shortcake birthday cake. But, then I stumbled upon some negative reviews about Send A Cake and got super nervous. I mean, what if the cake tasted terrible or the butterflies didn't even fly?
But, when the big day arrived, my daughter had a completely different experience than the negative reviewers. The cake showed up right on time and tasted amazing – it was seriously one of the best cakes I've ever had! And the butterflies? Oh boy, did they fly high up in the air! I was honestly shocked! And the music stand played "In Da Club" perfectly! It really was a magical moment.
Now, I have no idea what those other reviewers were talking about. Maybe the company was able to fix any issues they had in the past, who knows? All I know is that I would highly recommend Send A Cake to anyone looking to make a special occasion even more special! My daughter loved it and was thrilled with her birthday box. So, if you're on the fence about using Send A Cake, don't be! This company definitely delivered on their promise and exceeded my expectations.
Send A Cake and Fedex Ruined My Wife's Birthday with Terrible Service
Yo,
So, I placed an order for a birthday cake for my wifey's birthday yesterday on Send A Cake's website. And what happened? Fedex screwed up big time! They lied on the tracker saying they had attempted deliveries but in reality, they did jack st!
Send A Cake, you guys should take full responsibility for the courier service you use. If they can't handle their job, why even use them in the first place? It's freaking unprofessional.
I ordered the cake as a little emotional break for my wife as her dad just had a stroke last week and I'm away for work. And what did you guys do? You made a complete disaster out of it and added to her already terrible situation.
Now, there's nothing much you can do about it since her birthday was yesterday and it's highly unlikely that her dad will last another week. I'll never use your services again, and I'll make sure to post this review on every social media platform that my kids and I have access to.
Are you guys even going to bother sending the cake now? Coz I still haven't received it yet!
Peace out. ✌️
Disappointing Cakes from Send A Cake - Not Worth the Money!
So, let me tell ya, I was pretty excited for these cakes from Send A Cake. I mean, who doesn't love getting a sweet treat delivered to their doorstep? But let me just say, I was majorly disappointed!
First off, when I opened the box, there were butterflies flying around. I mean, it was cute for a second, but then they were gone and the rose petals were flying everywhere. Not too big of a deal, but still kind of annoying.
But when it came time to actually eat the cakes, I was in for a rude awakening. They were so gross! Not dry like some other reviewers have said, but instead, they were covered in gross icing and super gooey. And not in a good way! I mean, I've had a lot of cakes in my time, but this might just be the worst one I've ever tried.
My mom likes smaller cakes, so my sister thought this would be a sweet gift for her, but boy was she wrong. We ended up throwing them in the trash. Yuck!
Looking through the other reviews, it seems like Send A Cake messes up orders pretty frequently. But in this case, I'm not talking about just a little mix-up - the cake was literally underdone and doughy. I'm definitely going to be giving the company a call tomorrow to see if this is how they're supposed to be or if it was just a mistake in production. Either way, I would not recommend wasting your money on this gimmick. Stick to your local bakery, folks!
Send A Cake Review: Shady Behavior & Terrible Customer Service - A Hard Pass!
Man, I gotta tell you, this whole Send A Cake situation has got me steaming mad! I ordered a cake from them for a special occasion, and wouldn't you know it, the dang thing never even showed up. Can you believe it? To make matters worse, these guys can't seem to get their act together when it comes to customer service. It took them four whole days and three emails to finally get back to me about the issue, and even then, they just gave me some complicated online reporting link that only made things worse. By the time we finally got anything close to a resolution, it had been a whole week since I placed my order.
Now, I don't know about you, but when I order something online, I expect it to show up on time and in good condition. And when it doesn't, I expect the company to do everything in their power to make it right. But with Send A Cake, it just feels like they're trying to pull one over on me. They only offered a PayPal refund option (which, let's be real, is a huge pain in the butt), and their responses to my emails were snarky and dismissive. Like, come on guys, isn't customer service 101 to be polite and helpful when a customer has a problem?
And don't even get me started on their return and replacement process. It's so dang complicated and convoluted, I can't even make heads or tails of it. It almost feels like they're intentionally trying to make it difficult for customers to get a refund or replacement. I mean, what kind of company does that?
At this point, I've had enough. I'm not putting up with this kind of shady behavior. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau, and I'm not holding my breath for a quick resolution. All I've gotten so far is another shady email saying a route representative will be with me in 24-48 hours. Seriously, how hard is it to fix a problem? It's like these guys have never heard of customer satisfaction before.
So yeah, if you're thinking about ordering from Send A Cake, I'd recommend giving them a hard pass. Save yourself the hassle and frustration. There are plenty of other companies out there that know how to treat their customers right.
Disastrous Experience with Send A Cake: Late Delivery, Stale Cake, and Terrible Customer Service
Oh boy, where do I even start with this review of my experience with Send A Cake (sendacake.com)? Let me just say right off the bat that it was a complete disaster, and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.
So, here's the sitch. My granddaughter was turning 14 on September 2nd, and I wanted to surprise her with a cake for her birthday party on September 10th. I figured I'd go all out and get some extras too - Happy Birthday music, a pop-up card, and confetti. I placed my order with Send A Cake, feeling pretty good about myself for being such a cool grandma. Well, that feeling didn't last long.
Fast forward to September 10th, the day of the party. Guess what didn't show up? You guessed it - the cake! And I had 20 kids coming over, not to mention all the bounce houses and blow up slides I rented for the occasion. Talk about a letdown. I kept checking the tracking info and all I saw was "shipped" and "out for delivery". So, I waited patiently.
September 11th came and went, still no cake. And then, I received a notification saying it was finally out for delivery on September 12th. That makes it 2 days late. TWO DAYS. And I had ordered it a whole week in advance to make sure it would arrive on time! What a waste of $70.
Now, if that wasn't bad enough, the cake was already 6 days old by the time it arrived. SIX. Who knows how long it had been sitting in a warehouse or truck somewhere. I was beyond frustrated and disappointed. When I tried to contact customer service, they just referred me to the shipper (which they had selected, not me). But when I tried to reach out to the shipper, they just directed me back to Send A Cake. It was a never-ending cycle of terrible customer service.
All in all, I would not recommend Send A Cake to anyone. Save yourself the headache and go with a different company. Trust me, you don't want to deal with the same stress I did.

Disappointing Experience with Send A Cake: $76.93 for an Empty Box and Poor Customer Service
So, I wanted to surprise my daughter in college with a cake and thought it would be nice to order one from Send A Cake. The idea was to make her day special and remind her that we love and miss her. I instructed her not to open the box until we FaceTimed. And that's what we did. However, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment when a bunch of butterflies flew out of the box and it was empty. Talk about confusion! My daughter just had a blank expression on her face and said, "Thanks"? What could she possibly thank me for, I wondered. I asked if there was anything outside the box or in the shipping instructions that could explain things. But all she said was that there was just a note saying that the cake didn't need to be kept frozen. I felt like someone robbed me of my money. The order was costly, at $76.93, but the cake was missing!
Then began a series of phone calls and emails. I called the company and told them what had happened. They asked me to send them a video of my daughter opening the box. But I didn't have a video since we were FaceTiming. So, they told me to send a picture of the empty box. Thankfully, my daughter was able to send a picture, which I forwarded immediately. But when I confirmed whether they had received it or not, another representative said the picture wouldn't work and that I needed to send a video. I was going around in circles.
Finally, I spoke to someone who said they could only offer me a $20 refund because I didn't have a video. I felt cheated and had had enough of their poor customer service. After all, this was a big present for my daughter who was away from home on her birthday. The company ruined the special moment. I won't be ordering from them ever again nor will I recommend them to anyone. I'm writing this review to save someone else the trouble and heartache. It's a shame because Send A Cake seemed like a good option, but they let me down big time.
Disappointing Experience with Send A Cake: Late Delivery, Stale Cake, & Lacking Pizzazz
So, I recently had an experience with Send A Cake (sendacake.com) and let me tell you, it was not what I expected. I ordered an explosion box with cake for a birthday, to be delivered on February 26th, 2021. However, it didn't arrive until March 1st, and I was pretty annoyed. I spoke to their customer service a few times and they said it was because of a weather event, but come on, it had happened two weeks before the shipment. They should have known better and sent it earlier, especially since they only use 2 day weekday shipping. Plus, it's important to note that they don't deliver on weekends, so keep that in mind.
They did give me a refund of the shipping cost, which was nice, but it didn't make up for the fact that the person didn't receive the cake until three days after their birthday. Also, the cake wasn't exactly fresh. It was made on February 24th, which means it was already 5 and a half days old by the time it was received. It looked prepackaged, sealed in plastic wrap. Despite that, I heard it tasted pretty good, since I got the tuxedo cake.
I also added the birthday music and party poppers to the order, but I expected the poppers to explode out of the box. Instead, they were merely placed inside the box. My bad for not reading the description properly, but I did expect a little more bang for my buck. The music played when the box was opened, which was nice, but it just wasn't enough.
One more thing I wanted to mention: I ordered a 7" cake, but I later found out that the larger cakes are actually from David's Cookies and are shipped separately from Send A Cake. It would have been nice if they had mentioned that somewhere on their website, so I wasn't surprised when I received a cake from a different company. If I wanted a cake from David's Cookies, I would have ordered it directly from them. Come on, Send A Cake, be transparent!
Overall, I wasn't too thrilled with my experience with Send A Cake. Yes, the exploding box cake was pretty cool, but it arrived late and lacked the pizzazz I was hoping for. The cake was also a little stale, but still tasty according to those who ate it. I appreciate the refund for the shipping, but it wasn't enough to make up for the disappointment.

Expulsion box with butterflies
I was excited to send my friend a box with the butterflies. When I got the recorded video of her opening it, it was quite disappointing. She put it on the grass. The butterflies did not fly around as expected, all around. The instructions said to be placed on a flat surface. It should say flat surface like a table. The video showed what looked like the butterflies barley moved, flapped sideways and died. I had to send her a video of what it was suppose to look like.
Send A Cake Review: Disappointing Delivery & Terrible Customer Service
So, I had high hopes for Send A Cake when I decided to order a cake for my daughter's birthday. I selected the delivery date of 2/11 and anxiously awaited the arrival of the cake. Unfortunately, my excitement was short-lived when I received the cake a day later than expected and to top it all off, it was damaged during transit. I mean, what a bummer, right?
So, I decided to give their customer service team a call to get the issue resolved. But boy, was I in for a ride! I left them a total of 4 messages and until now, I still haven't received a call back. Talk about frustration, it was like hitting a wall and not being able to get through it.
It was only until I did more digging that I learned that they used UPS to deliver their cakes. I mean, if I had known that they would entrust my precious cake with a third party courier service, I would've thought twice about ordering from them.
And don't get me started on their customer service team. When I called them to report the delay and damage of my cake, the first representative I spoke to actually hung up on me when I requested to speak to a supervisor. I mean, what kind of customer service is that? It's like they don't even care about their customers' experiences.
All in all, I would not recommend Send A Cake to anyone who wants a hassle-free cake delivery experience. I mean, don't waste your time and money on a company that clearly doesn't value its customers or understand what good customer service is all about.
Mixed Feelings About Send A Cake: Review of Timeliness and Customer Service
You know what I love about Send A Cake? Okay, first of all, their whole concept is just awesome. I mean, who wouldn't want to receive a delicious cake in the mail? And they've got some pretty cool designs to choose from too. But let me tell ya, if you're looking to send a cake around a holiday like Valentine's Day, you might want to think twice. I tried to send a cake to my nephew for his birthday on the 11th, but apparently that's too close to Valentine's Day for them to guarantee delivery. So now the poor kid could get it any day between his birthday and three days later. Bummer, right?
But you know what's even more frustrating? Their website says to email for the best customer service, but then when you do, they tell you it could take up to 48 hours to get a response. Who's got time for that? Honestly, you might as well just call. It's not like you'll have to wait too long on hold or anything... *insert eye roll here
All that being said, I still think Send A Cake is a pretty cool idea. Just maybe don't rely on them for timely deliveries around holidays. Oh, and if you're a stickler for proper grammar, you might want to brace yourself for a couple mistakes in their emails too. But hey, we're all human, right? And who cares about a few typos when you've got cake on the brain?

My Disappointing Experience with Send A Cake - Review
Hey everyone, I'm here to share my experience with Send A Cake (sendacake.com) and it's not the best one, unfortunately.
My sister's birthday is coming up on March 17th and we're going through a really tough time as we just lost both of our parents. It's going to be her first birthday without them and she's feeling really down. To try and make her feel better, I wanted to send her a cake just like our parents always did. That's why I decided to give Send A Cake a try.
I ordered two cakes in my parents' name and requested that they be delivered on my sister's birthday. However, to my disappointment, my sister received the cakes today instead of on her actual birthday. I was really upset about this and decided to call Send A Cake to try and sort it out.
When I spoke to them, they didn't seem to understand the gravity of the situation. All they offered me was to refund my delivery fee of $16.00. I explained to them that this was supposed to be a really important birthday for my sister and that it's her first one without our parents. I hoped they would be more understanding and try to do something to make it right.
Overall, I think that Send A Cake has potential to be a good service but my experience with them just wasn't up to par. I felt like they didn't care about the situation and just wanted to brush me off with a refund. I hope that they can improve their customer service in the future and be more empathetic towards their customers.
Disappointing Experience with Send A Cake for Graduation Celebration
So I was super excited to surprise my nephew with a delicious cake from Send A Cake for his graduation! I went all out and ordered a Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake with Fudge Frosting, Graduation Music, and Candy Kaboom. Unfortunately, the cake did not arrive on the actual graduation day, which was a big bummer for him. Instead, it came a whopping 4 days later thanks to good old Fedex. To make matters worse, I only ordered one cake, but he ended up with two boxes containing the exact same items - talk about a mix-up!
Not only that, but when my nephew finally opened the boxes, everything inside was completely melted! Keep in mind, we live in Texas where it gets HOT, so you'd think Send A Cake would know how to properly package and protect their products. Especially since they're dealing with food, chocolate, and candy! Don't get me wrong, I was happy that they refunded my purchase in full, but the fact that they had the audacity to ask me for photos was a bit of a slap in the face.
Overall, I have to say that I don't recommend buying from Send A Cake at all. The late delivery, melted goodies, and poor customer service all leave a bad taste in my mouth. However, I will give them some credit for at least refunding my money. Just be warned, if you decide to go ahead and order from them, make sure you've got a backup plan in place - you never know what might go wrong!
Disappointing Experience with Send A Cake Birthday Delivery: Cake Arrived a Day Early
So, I've seen a lot of ads for Send A Cake online and thought that it would be a great gift idea for my brother. Our beloved mother had a massive stroke recently, so birthdays just aren't the same for us anymore. Our mom always made such a huge deal out of birthdays, so it's been tough since she's been gone for us to celebrate like we used to.
Anyway, I decided to order a cake from Send A Cake for my brother's birthday, hoping it would be a nice surprise to lift his spirits. I carefully chose the delivery date, thinking that it would arrive on his actual birthday, just like when you order flowers.
But then...the cake arrived a day early! Ugh. Talk about a disappointment. Today, on my brother's actual birthday, he has nothing to celebrate with. It's just an empty day that reminds us both that our mother is no longer here to wish us happy birthdays. Honestly, it sucks.
Thanks a lot, Send A Cake. You really dropped the ball on this one. It seems like such an easy fix to use a reliable delivery service that you control, but I guess that's too much to ask for.
Disappointing Experience with Send A Cake - Negligent Customer Service and Mistakes Cost Time and Money
So I decided to give Send A Cake a try for two special occasions, one for my bestie's birthday and the other for my sister's anniversary. I was so excited to pick out the perfect cake for them and send it straight to their doorstep, but things didn't go according to plan. The company mistakenly sent both cakes to my bestie's address, leaving my sister empty-handed on her special day. I was really upset and confused. How could they mix up two completely different addresses when I entered them correctly on their website?
I immediately shot off an email to their customer service team, hoping they would rectify the situation and resend my sister's cake to the right address. But to my surprise, they replied that they didn't take responsibility for wrong addresses. I couldn't believe it! I spent 65 bucks on each cake and the company wouldn't even make an effort to fix their mistake. My sister was left disappointed and without a cake on her anniversary.
Not only that, the second cake arrived on the wrong day too! What a total disaster. I was so disappointed in the company's negligence and lack of customer service that I vowed never to order from them again. It's frustrating to pay a premium price for a gift only to be let down by a company that doesn't care about their customers.
Overall, my experience with Send A Cake was a complete letdown. Their prices may be high, but their service and attention to detail are seriously lacking. I wouldn't recommend using them, unless of course, you want to risk ruining a special occasion.
Mixed Feelings About Send A Cake: Review of Customer Service and Delivery Experience
Hey there,
I have some mixed feelings about Send A Cake. On one hand, the cake itself was pretty good and definitely a nice surprise for my mom on Mother's Day. On the other hand, the whole process leading up to the cake arriving was a bit of a mess.
First off, it was really frustrating that there was no way to talk to anyone on the phone. I don't know about you, but sometimes I just want to talk to a human being instead of sending emails back and forth. And speaking of emails, the turn-around time on responses was pretty slow - I had to wait 24-48 hours for each reply.
I ordered the cake on May 7th because there was an ad saying it would arrive by Mother's Day. The email confirmation said it would be delivered on a Saturday, but didn't specify which one. When the cake didn't show up, I checked the tracking number and it said it wouldn't be delivered until the 20th - after Mother's Day! But then, magically, it was suddenly out for delivery on Mother's Day itself. It was a bit of a rollercoaster.
All in all, I'm not sure I'd use Send A Cake again. The lack of customer service options and the confusion around delivery dates made it more stressful than it needed to be. But if you don't mind a little bit of a gamble, the cake itself was tasty.
Disappointing Experience with Send A Cake: Poor Customer Service and Late Delivery
So, I wanted to surprise my homie with a cake that explodes with confetti. I found Send A Cake and thought it would be perfect! Unfortunately, when the day came, I didn't get a package and when I reached out to their customer service crew, they blamed FedEx. I mean, come on, y'all picked the delivery service! They gave me back my $10.00 fast shipping fee but told me to talk to FedEx myself. What kind of service is that?! If I'm paying for something, I expect the company to sort it out if there's a problem. I'm pretty sure FedEx lost my goods, but Send A Cake should be the ones to talk to and sort it out. But check this out! They tried to tell me that even though the cake was delayed, I could still eat it since it's good for a few days. REALLY?!? That's not what I'm about, people! I don't care about the cake, I wanted the birthday surprise to be on time! Now, I'm hoping that I'll get my full refund.
Mixed Experience with Send A Cake - Buyer Beware!
Hey there peeps!
So, I wanted to share my experience with Send A Cake (sendacake.com). I've used them twice, and let me tell you, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride.
The first time I sent a box to a coworker, and it was lit. I was nervous when I paid for expedited shipping, but it arrived on time, and my coworker was over the moon about it. It was a real win-win situation!
Feeling super confident, I decided to do the same thing for my son's birthday. However, his box never arrived. I was sooooo pumped about his reaction, but the disappointment hit me like a ton of bricks when the box didn't show up.
When I contacted the company, they insisted that it had been delivered. But seriously, where was it delivered to? It definitely wasn't the right address. So now, not only am I out nearly $100, but I have to investigate what on earth Fed Ex did with the box. And to make matters worse, my son didn't even get a birthday greeting from me.
I got a real vibe that my initial trepidation was the truth. You know what they say, 50/50 chances are not good enough in this economy. So, sorry Send A Cake, but I won't be using you guys again.
Hopefully, this helps y'all out! So buyer beware!
Send A Cake Review: Cute Idea, But Extra Costs Add Up Quickly
Wow, let me tell you about my experience with Send A Cake (sendacake.com). I stumbled upon this cute little idea and decided to surprise my kids with one for Halloween. Let me tell you, they were thrilled! It was such a fun surprise for them and definitely made their day.
But it was more of a novelty kind of thing, you know? I wouldn't necessarily buy one again.
However, I did end up sending one to a friend for her birthday - she's a big Harry Potter fan so I figured it would be perfect! And she loved it too.
The cake itself is just okay, I wouldn't say it's anything special. And it's super small, so keep that in mind.
But what really grinds my gears is the extra costs. You go to buy the box and bam, cake is an extra $6-10. Excuse me, what? The place is literally called Send A Cake, so why would the most basic cake not be included in the $40 you were already going to pay?
And then there's all these other add-ons that cost extra too. Want a song to play? Extra money. Butterflies? Yep, extra money. It seems like there's always an extra cost.
And don't even get me started on the shipping. It's a ton of money, and they don't even tell you until you're almost checked out.
So what started as a $40 fun little surprise cake suddenly became a $70 expense. Yikes.
Overall, Send A Cake is a cute idea for a one-time gift. But don't expect to become a repeat customer - the novelty quickly wears off when you start adding up all the extra costs.
