Submitted service claim on 09/26/22 for repair on furnace. We were told when we purchased the warranty that they had service technicians across the country and getting someone to come out wouldn't be a problem.
Today I discovered my claim has been marked "CLOSED CM NTIA" and that means it's been closed no technician in area. They are pushing for me to find a service tech, get the repair pre-approved, pay the tech in advance and then wait up to 6 weeks to get my money back. This is what I paid a significant amount of money for.
I don't have the money available to have this repair done right now and wait to be reimbursed. That's why I put out the money for the warranty when I had it, so that when I needed a repair it would only cost me a service fee of $45.
I don't feel they are fulfilling their commitment to their customers.
Desired outcome: I'd like for them to either find someone to come out and do the repair or I'd like to get a full refund of what I paid for this seemingly worthless home warranty policy.
