Seven West Media / Channel 7 review: Pearson test for all migrants who need to take english test.

Hi, I'm one of the test takers of PTE Pearson test for English.

I encountered too much stress, difficulties and issues which I believed that most of the migrants who wish to work and study overseas and needs to deal in taking this exam.

I booked my exam 2 weeks before my exam dates as I urgently need to have result for my registration as professional in may field overseas (Australia). As I have previous exam and account with them, I followed the procedures and answered all the detailed information needed. The payment go through, 410 for the exam. On the day of my exam they did not allow me to take the exam because they said my Id does not match with the online form.

My point is even I have previous account, form and details with them, what is the purpose all the online form to fill up when on the date of the exam they will say I won't be able to take the exam because the details is inaccurate, and the money will be forfeited as it is my fault. 410 Aud is a big money for single mother who's supporting my 3 children here in Australia to have an opportunity here in a foreign country.

And I believed that they are doing it most of the test takers as the examiner mentioned I have someone with the same issue.

Is it not right that with all the hardship most people are having, examination such as PTE Pearson, IELTS or whatever English testing organization must be considerate with their own rules.

First, I don't even think that it tests taker's fault to have issue in filling up the form if the actual Pearson PTE can not automatically update their system when we are filling up the form online.

I talked to the agent day after my exam they asked me information on my [personal details and they told me my details were not updated, and even my address, which is so surprising because I fill up the online form to book the examination.

And my only request with them is allow me to book again the exam without paying as I don't have again that amount to pay them and I urgently need the take the examination as I will be using it for registration and employment purposes.

I feel that in this uncertainty and trails that most foreign migrants experiencing a big organization or company needs to be proactive instead punishing and asked them to pay again and again. Proactive because, in the registration 30 mins before the exam they will be checking the ID Infront of the computer, they will verify if that is the right person who will take the exam. But instead of extending a little bit of help to resolve the issue, their decision not to allow the test takers to take the exam and forfeiting the payment is too much, as every exam for English were really too expensive to handle for student, single parents and even someone who is raising a family.

I hope this email will be heard as i know many people experience the same scenario like me and all I feel is they are making a money making habit which is not appropriate.
