extremely poor customer service
I think it's safe to say that Shoebuy.com have the worst attitude to customer service that I have ever experienced.
I do most of my non-grocery shopping on line so I think I'm able to judge how well a company responds to customer service issues. I also run the web site for a multi-million pound business and appreciate how important it is is to reply in a timely fashion and respond pro-actively to customer service issues.
Shoebuy.com, on the other hand, do not have a clue. Despite numerous emails they have not provided a satisfactory response to my repeated requests to find an order that was despatched weeks ago.
I would not recommend purchasing from Shoebuy.com or their UK outlet, Shoebuy.co.uk. They have a dismal attitude to customer service and deserve a poor reputation online as a result. It is only by fairly and accurately reporting issues on review sites such as this one that people are able to make an informed decision about who to purchase from online. I wish I had dug a little deeper before putting my hand in my pocket.

worst service ever
Ripped off.. I purchased 2 pairs of shoes from Shoebuy.com and only received one pair and of cause it was the cheaper pair that I received, I am now down $70 and I am mad. The shoes were Women's Teva Ventura Cork 2 Rialto
Item no: 359358 and I still need them GGRRR I have sent email after email to no avail, I have been waiting since Febuary.

I have had a similar experience. Luckily, I was able to file a claim through Paypal, which is how I paid for the shoes I ordered. Only then did I receive a response to my emails demanding a refund. Try different email addresses, and put "ATTENTION CS-9" in the subject line. Here are some of the email addresses that I used: service@shoebuy.com, customer@shoebuy.com, returns@shoebuy.com, cs-processing@mail.shoebuy.com. Just keep trying them all.
bad at returns
I bought a pair of shoes, cause they gave me a 10 $ off coupon. I received them in a totally torn shoe box, the shoe condition was great though. The shoe box had torn from all the seams and sides. So obviously i threw it away. I didn't like the shoes either. So i took a new box and shipped the shoes back to them within two days of receiving them. No call or anything from there side . I could track that they received the shoes that i returned. Now i am waiting for a refund. After a month i called them back to enquire...and they say we have returned the shoes back to you, the reason beign that the original box [torn one] was not sent to them! what the [protected]@#$?
They are just ridiculous.I wasn't even aware that they have re-returned my shoes. The ups guy left it with the apt office.
These bloody rascals are a bunch of frauds. Please please NEVER do business with them. I wrote a couple of complain emails to there customer service, and they haven't bothered to reply at all. BAD BAD BUSINESS. WISH I HAD LAWYER TO SUE THEM...

Hi, I ordered 2 pair of shoes on the 25th January 2011 and 8 days later called to see why they were not despatched yet, they said "because it was international it may take up to 14 days, but let me check...oh your order is scheduled for shipping tomorrow" then another 5 days later I called again..."your order will be shipped tomorrow..." and then after another 2 days I called to cancel my order, they said " ok, anything else?" WTH what happened to customer service? they didn't even say sorry. Then the very next morning I get an email to say my order has been shipped! I called again and they said to bad your order has shipped they could not cancel in time and when queried about why I was lied to twice they had no explanation, not even an apology! I have been a loyal customer in the past and have recommended many people but I will be telling people not to shop there.
What a joke this company is. I bought a pair of shoes that said "in stock" and it would be shipped and recieved by Christmas. On Dec 23rd they sent me an email saying it wouldn't be shipped in time. I told them to cancel the order and that took them nearly 3 weeks to confirm a cancelation. I will never buy anything from them again.

What a bunch of scamers! I will never buy from shoebuy.com again! i bought a pair of shoes from them and several months later I discovered charges for $12 a month on mmy chargecard for some travel company call real fun. Upon futher checking i found that they had actually enrolled me into 2 travel companies wit out my knowlage and was billing my card for a total of $24 a month and ran up $280 incharges before i discovered the fraud. I called the 800 numbers listed on the charge card statment for the traqvel companies but got voice mail that could not understand english, no way to talk with real person. Visa fraud division got me some customer service company in India and then Visa reversed all the charges. Do not buy form shoebuy.com, but if you do watch your charge card statments for extra charge scams!

I have precious little time to write this complaint, but I am so financially hurt, I've got to warn you...
WARNING: IF YOU want to TRY ON SHOES FROM SHOEBUY.com BUYER BEWARE! Featured Paper-like "fall out" shoe linings wrinkle when trying a shoe on. Shoebuy says then shoes not returnable! (Amazing since these linings are cheap to replace). DON'T TRY ON THE SHOES IF THERE IS ANY POSSIBLITY THEY WON'T FIT. And to date, SHOEBUY DID NOT PRINT MY Customer REVIEW about shoe design &mfr. defects ON THEIR SITE. Will they print yours? Do you honestly think only five people reviewed a shoe? Do you think every shoe received 4-5 stars by customers? Do you honestly think no one reviewed a shoe since last May? Do you think Shoebuy is going to utilize "server space" showing complaints? With the current cost of doing business on the web, and product imports, do you honestly think the shoe sent to you by Shoebuy.com will be worth $99 bucks?
(At best it is difficult to judge shoe fit and value from a tiny photo on a website.)

If you care about people, one recourse I suppose is to Twitter/Text/TELL at least 50 PEOPLE a year YOU CAN'T SHOP WITH CONFIDENCE AT SHOEBUY! You know, tell your postmaster, your Fed Ex guy, your UPS guy, your classmates, etc. Maybe your church newsletter will let you put in a small warning message. (When a company does harm, the result is citizen activation--that's a
Public Relations 101, rule of thumb. Does Shoebuy.com not know that?) So, take heart.
You can warn people in your garden club, bowling team, carpool, etc. Tell them when it comes to
shoe defects, people on this site say Shoebuy.com will ultimately refuse a refund. You say the shoe is uncomfortable, Shoebuy.com says it is comfortable. You say the shoe is glued together badly, Shoebuy.com says the shoe its not. You say the shoe cuts into your toe, heel, whatever, Shoebuy will say it doesn't! *Tell people they can not try on the Shoebuy.com shoes and expect a refund! Shoes and packing and paperwork must be returned undisturbed. Save all! So my hunch is they have a "no return" deal with their vendors, even though Shoebuy advertises in bold print "free return shipping".
I sure didn't see a " don't try on" policy or "don't open packaging" warning prior to my purchase. YOU CAN NOT SHOP WITH CONFIDENCE AT SHOEBUY! Don't trust Shoebuy.com. (Sad, doesn't all marketing success depend on forging a relationship of fairness and good faith?)

Shop at a dept.store--they allow you to try on floor samples and more. I sincerely hope this is a helpful complaint. I wrote this review because I think most people can't throw $85-$199 out the window and still not have wearable shoes. Mostly, I don't want those folks with few resources to lose them.
Re: Shoebuy.com scammers...I ordered shoes in mid August. I returned them within a
few days of receiving them. Here it is Thanksgiving, still no credit for my return.
All I can do is warn others not to throw their money away at Shoebuy.com!

Pair I received had strange neoprene insole that was lumpy and uneven making walking uncomfortable. Paper thin insole lining with no cushioning support, so when you try on shoe, paper
lining wrinkles. So Shoebuy will claim shoes ARE worn and won't refund. Won't acknowledge defects that render shoe unwearable. Because insufficiently lined, foot sinks so low in shoe, that high leather piece at back of heel cuts your ankles. Honestly any pair of tennis shoes from KMart are better made. Shoebuy will return your returns to you multiple times rather than acknowledge shoddy shoes or
refund your money. How can we put these people out of business? Call the state attorney general?
Please spread the word to all your friends to avoid Shoebuy! What do I do with $99 unwearable
shoes? Recycle someplace? So far Shoebuy hasn't automatically charged my account other fees.

misleading advertising
Misleading advertising. Advertised special of "20% off your order" but at the purchase point discount was denied. I called customer service and they said the discount did not apply to "some brands". I asked them how to determine that. They told me there was no way to determine ahead of time and that "it" adjusts at the end of the order. How convenient for them! I was only one click away from processing with what I thought would be 20% off!

Shoe buy.com was a Terrible experience. I will never buy from them again! They sent me defective shoes and charged me $6.95 per pair for restocking. False advertising free exchanges free shipping. Their shoes are defective and they take over 10 days to receive. Never again. I will continue to use Zappos

I ordered a pair of New Balance shoes. When I received them they did not fit right so I returned them. After almost 2 weeks I had not received a credit yet UPS showed that Shoebuy had received the return. When I called they claimed that I had worn the shoes and they were sending them back to me and I would not receive a credit. I did not wear the shoes, I simply tried them on inside then returned them the next day. What a scam!

Recently I have purchased a pair of boots off of shoebuy.com! This is not the first purchase i have made with them, however it will absolutely be my last. After i purchased my boots, a screen came up asking me if i wanted to recieve $10 off my next purchase with shoebuy. Well of course who wouldnt! So i clicked it filled it out and waited for the coupon in my email. Well i recently just checked my checking account online and have been being charged by a company Called TLG Great Fun! They've been charging me $11.99 a month to be a member of theirs! Well funny thing is...I NEVER signed up for them and they got all of my credit card information from shoebuy. so I called shoebuy and asked them about this company and they were fully aware that this fraudulant company TLG fun is active in their website! So I'm warning ALL people who purchase from Shoebuy.com...they may say they're a secure website..they are ABSOLUTELY NOT! I've contacted the BBB and they are actually members of the BBB which is shocking considering the amount of respect they obviously have for their clientell and their money. SO..if you choose to shop with this company your putting your checking account or credit card at risk..so just think twice. I have been ripped off by Shoebuy.com. They sent wrong size and will not issue return documentation. Dozens of calls, no action. Shoebuy=SCAM Do not do business with these shady jerks.

defective shoes
I purchased a pairs of shoes from www.shoebuy.com on 4/27/09 and didn't get a chance to wear them within the time they were purchased due to the fact I was moving out of state.
When I finally wore the shoes to a function, the right one was visibly a size too big and too wide kept falling off my foot. Unfortunately I was months out of the 90 day return and exchange period but I took a chance and called customer service anyway.
I spoke to James in customer service, and honestly informed him about the situation by telling him when I purchased the shoes and that I wore them once and the issue with the shoe. I was told that if the shoes was defective I could send them back and would be refunded my funds minus shipping and handling. I asked for a return label, and they said I wasn't entitled. I kept calling and the company grudgingly emailed me a label which I used to return the item.
I checked frequently to see if they received the shoes until they finally did and was told by a male customer service representative they were looking them over and in 48 hours someone will call me. That call never came.
Almost a month went by and I heard nothing so I called to check the status and was told that they mailed the shoes back to me. I was stunned, since I was not informed of any decisions made about the shoes and asked why was I not contacted? I was told by James that they did not examine the shoes yet. I was a bit upset and explained I was given a different story 3.5 weeks prior.
I pride myself on being honest and straightforward, and before returning these shoes I had four people look at them on my feet and watch me attempt to walk in them just to be sure I wasn't imagining things or being unreasonable. Yet this the reply that I received.

Thank you for your patience while the review of the images were
underway. Unfortunately, upon our review of the returning shoe, the
results of this comprehensive review determined that the condition was
not related to a manufacturer defect. As the condition of the worn shoes
was not a manufacturers defect, we could not accept them back and they
were returned to you as is.
As it is this and our other policies that allow us to continue to offer
the vast selection, free shipping of orders to our customers, great
prices and other features, thus we cannot make any exception to this
guideline within our policy,

I honestly wish the photos were smaller so I could attach them to this complaint. It is very obvious that one of the right shoe is way larger in length and width. I am unable to upload the 3 pics they took of the shoes because the max size is 2MB.

I went on shoebuy.com and bought a pair of shoes. Unknowingly I also signed up for Great Fun. Shoebuy.com is unwilling to help cover the expenses incurred by Great Fun. They said they will note it in the file. I was just trying to buy some shoes that ended up costing me an extra $90.93. So don't use shoebuy.com and really watch out about the prompts you hit. I will go else where for shoes!

I took an offer of a discount and just found out they have been charging 12.99 for over a year. I gave them no permission to keep charging my charge card. I called and they said I agreed and there is no refund. I will never buy from them again.

horrible customer service
I returned a pair of boots because they were not true to size and the color was horrible. I tried the boots on but did not actually wear them. When I tried to return them, they claimed they had scuff marks on them and returned them to me. Well all one had to do was look at the soles to see they have never been worn. Horrible IGNORANT customer service people. Stay away from this company!
