ShoeBuy.com G1443sw wavl-union ll strap [protected] order #[protected]-1 3/22/2021

I purchased the above item March 22, 2022 there was a defect in the front part of the sole, couldn't return or get in touch with company because of covid so I tried to wear them but the sole came apart from the body of the shoe. I cannot wear them now, I would like to know what to do and I want a refund.
Not sure if you needed name of company they were ordered from, see below

ShoeBuy.com selling defective boots

I purchased a pair of the Demonia Knee High Blk Velvet boots for $114.95.
Although they were gorgeous they arrived defective.
One buckle plate was missing off one boot. The tongue was off blk on the boot too.
I emailed shoebuy about my issue. I attached pics too.
I asked for a return label to be emailed to me.
I didn't hear back from them.
After 2-days I decided to open a case with PayPal since I used PayPal as my payment. PayPal guarantees any purchase with their buyers protection.
After opening a dispute through PayPal I received an email from shoebuy.
They said they would have to inspect the boots once received. They said if they saw no problem they would ship them back to me.
They said they would charge me a restocking fee.
I went off. I said they are full of sh#@ thinking I would pay a restocking fee. I told them again the boots are defective.
I shipped the return. I also reordered another pair.
The 2nd pair arrived defective too.
I would've swore they sent back the same pair of boots but they hadn't received my return until later that day.
I was so pissed I called this time & asked to speak with a supervisor. I read her good.
My language was unlady like. $228+ I spent to only receive junk boots.
They refunded all my money back for the first pair. I'm waiting on my other refund.
I in closed a letter in the box to their shipping dept.
I told them to pull the whole lot of that model boot. Evidently all are defective with the front buckle plate missing.
I'm so disappointed with the new owners of shoebuy. They are now selling defective low quality shoes at a high price.
Don't buy from them u too will get screwed in ur [protected]@@ with no grease.
I'm going to check another company like another person suggested.
I did order the Vegan Demonia Knee High boots through a third-party from shoebuy. They are really nice. I want the velvet ones if they can find a pair without defects.

ShoeBuy.com restocking fee scam

I have purchased a pair of shoes from this site and received the wrong size. Shoes were too big and did not fit, so I emailed ShoeBuy and they offered me a replacement. I was very disappointed when they said that I have to pay for the return shipping, but they promised that I won't be charged a restocking fee.
Several weeks later I received another pair and finally it was the correct size. But then I noticed that ShoeBuy took some money from my account and when I contacted them to ask what was that all about they said that I was charged a restocking fee!
These people are nothing but liars and I will not buy from them in the future! They should be ashamed!

ShoeBuy.com they did not honor a return!

They did not honor a return! I bought a pair of winter shoes from www.shoebuy.com website and was pretty satisfied when my shoes arrived. They looked nice and quality seemed ok. It was said on their website that these shoes were warm and good choice for cold winter. Unfortunately these shoes were not warm, my feet were freezing! I contacted www.shoebuy.com support service and asked for a refund but they said they were not able to accept the shoes back because I already wore them.
I'm extremely disappointed with them! And now I need to waste more money and buy another pair. Shoes I got from Shoebuy are probably good for early spring, but I can't wear them when it's so cold outside.

ShoeBuy.com can't cancel

I made an order last week and purchased boots from www.shoebuy.com online store. That same day I found a better offer and decided to buy from another site, so I contacted ShoeBuy and asked them to cancel my order and they said sure. Several hours later I received a notification that my order was shipped!
I contacted them again and asked what was going on and their rep said that they were not able to cancel because my order was already in process. So then why didn't they tell me the truth? They said they did cancel and I believed them! Terrible! I will never buy anything from this cheater site again!

ShoeBuy.com customer service

I placed an order for $200 boots, after the order was processed, I received an email from ShoeBuy stating that it could take up to 5 business days to ship my order. Zappos had the same boots for the same price and would've had them to me the next day (I thought I would try something new, silly me). I called ShoeBuy within an hour of placing my order to cancel, that's when I learned that it could take 7-10 business days for them to credit my account. My money is being held hostage.

ShoeBuy.com I'm so extremely disappointed!

I will never order anything from www.shoeBuy.com ever again! I made an order and it took them almost a month to deliver my shoes! While I was waiting I tried to contact them many times but never received a response. When my shoes finally arrived they looked like garbage! I used to order things from this site before and everything was fine! I never expected to receive bad quality product from ShoeBuy! Anyways, I emailed them and asked for a refund. They said they were too busy and asked me to call later. Well, I did, but there was only silence! Never again! I'm so extremely disappointed, I really loved this site.

ShoeBuy.com new restocking fee policy

I was a long time customer and spent thousands of dollars here! Recently I made and order and bought two pairs of shoes from ShoeBuy and when they arrived I realized shoes were too small and narrow. So I returned them to get an exchange. Later I found out they charged me about $7 per item. I contacted them and they said it was their new restocking fee. They also said it was not their problem and they will not make any adjustments. I'm extremely disappointed!

ShoeBuy.com return policy

I bought a pair of shoes and they seemed to fit. However when I first wore them..about two hours..they caused my heels to bleed. Shoes, made by Keds, were stitched together poorly so I didn't wear them for a while. I am very busy. I looked at their return policy online and it says that returns have to be new and NOT WORN! Until you wear a pair of shoes, how can you possibly know that they are going to tear up your feet? I called Customer Service to discuss problem but the answer was basically too bad for me. WRONG ANSWER! My advice is to check out the return policy VERY CAREFULLY prior to any purchase but definitely for shoes. Also, DON'T USE SHOEBUY because they just sell 'em, they don't care if they're defective. Fortunately, I also contacted Keds who are giving me a FREE replacement pair..free shipping, etc.

ShoeBuy.com return/refund policy change not clearly communicated to consumer

Complaint: Company changed return policy without clearly communicating it to the consumer. In August, 2015, ShoeBuy changed policy from "Free Returns" - defined as prepaid return of shoes with a full refund. New policy was "Free Exchanges", which meant if the transaction ended as a return with a refund, instead of an exchange, there was a $7 "Re-stocking fee" assessed. Never is this specifically mentioned on company emails or website (where it can be easily seen). It is buried in a small "Return Policy" link at the bottom of a web page. It is not logical that a consumer would see this. This is especially true of a long time customer used to SB's policies over the years.) These is not a clear communication of an important policy change which is readily apparent to a consumer. Further, it is a fundamental policy upon which a customer would base their decision on whether to do business with SB. Not until an item is to be returned, does the $7 "restocking" policy appear as a "pop up" on the return page. Furthermore, their customer service refuses to make even a one-time exception by waiving the fee. This may not be outright fraud, but it is deceptive business practice, at best.

ShoeBuy.com return rejected

At first I was very happy with Shoebuy.com. They had sizes that are hard to find and my order was shipped quickly and accurately. Unfortunately three of the four pairs I ordered were WAY too big and I was unable to wear them. I was aware of their return policy and happy to pay the re-stocking fee for the convenience of not having to travel to stores to find these shoes. We live in a very rural area, at least 1 hour from any major brand name stores. I was shocked when I only received two of the three refunds and was tolld when I called that the third pair had been rejected for return because the shoes had been worn! I carefully explained that it was impossible for me to have worn the shoes as they were WAY too big. Of course I tried them on but never even left the bedroom. So sorry but cannot recommend them as I thought I would be able to do, they do not stand up to their policies, buyer beware!

ShoeBuy.com misleading and deceitful returns / exchange policy

I ordered slippers (order # [protected]-1) that arrived a size too small. A "customer service" person said I could exchange the slippers for a larger size. I returned the slippers and they sent back the same slippers saying -- in a crudely written note stuck in the bottom of the box -- that I had not returned the box the slippers came in (although I returned the slippers in the very box they came in). ShoeBuy.com require re-stocking fee with no notice!

I ordered a couple pairs of shoes from Shoebuy.com with the full expectation that, per their long-term policy, if there was a problem, I could return the shoes for free. Imagine my surprise when I went to print up the return label and was told there would be a $6.98 restocking fee for each shoe! I immediately called their customer service and was told they had the new policy since August 1 and there were no exceptions. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told I would get a callback but that the supervisor wouldn't be able to do anything about it either. I asked for the call anyway. I also asked for their executive offices' phone number and was told only the supervisor could give that to me. Really? When the supervisor finally called me back, I explained the situation and ask to be credited for the restocking fees as I was not aware of them and pointed out that they're cooling website says Free Return Shipping Free Exchanges and commented that it said nothing about there being a Re-Stocking Fee. He informed me that if I clicked on the asterisk, I would have been informed of the policy change as of August 1, 2015. (The shoes were ordered the first week of August.) I told him that I had done a search through my emails and couldn't even find their email notifying customers of the change. His response was, they didn't send one to their customers. Seriously? I then asked for the phone number of their executive offices and was told they never give that out. I then asked to speak to his supervisor and was told the only thing I could do would be to email customer service and it would be referred to the executive offices. After exchanging about six emails with Customer Service I was told, bottom line, tough luck. I will never buy from this company again.

I had ordered from ShoeBuy in the past and knew their no shipping, no return shipping fee. Well, what a surprise to see a restocking fee! Ok, SHOEBUY, tell it like it is. I would rather you made a nominal increase in the cost of the shoe than deceptively tacking on a "restocking fee". I've worked in distribution for over 25 years and you need a "cheaper" process for restocking your shoes. May I suggest an engineer? Barcodes and conveyor belts do wonders. You are simply recovering the UPS cost, so call it what it is!

ShoeBuy.com return policy

I bought a pair of MUK LUK Ben men's boots on 6-25-15 mainly because Shoebuy had a discount with free shipping and free return shipping. The boots seemed to be the right size and I liked the looks..however the insole hurt the bottom of my feet really bad after wearing three days. So I called for a "return voucher". They said if I had wore the boots, other than indoors, they would not accept a return. So I'm stuck with a pair of boots that hurt my feet. I'll try an insert before I give to a thrift store. My advice, read the fine print and buy from Zappo's.

ShoeBuy.com did not honor their return policies

I recently finished an entire month+ of back and forth emails between myself and Shoebuy.com's Customer (dis)Service. I had purchased a pair of shoes and was really excited to receive them. let me tell you that that excitement was short lived. After sadly discovering that the shoe simply did not fit me, i shipped the shoes back to Shoebuy and waited patiently for my refund. After calling twice wondering why nothing has happened (1.5 weeks after shipping them) I receive the shoes back with a note that they refuse to accept the shoes because of dust on the bottom, clearly showing that they have been worn before. They are correct. They were worn by me. fro a grand total of 120 SECONDS! I tried on the shoes, walked around in them for a bit to gauge the fit then repackaged them after realizing that they do not in fact fit me. I have tried every avenue to receive a refund from Shoebuy to no avail, they are adamant to stick by their untruthful, scamming ways.
Be warned, if you, like so many others, happen to order shoes and try them on before deciding whether to keep them or not, please note that Shoebuy WILL NOT accept them back! They are a Final-Sale and your money is gone for good!
You might as well take your money to a place which does not look to scam you and actually does care for Customer Service. A few other websites come to mind that friends have told me will stand by their return Policies; Zappos.com, 6pm.com, Shoes.com and I am sure many others.
Please, do not make the same mistake I made and save yourself some money and stress, go with a reputable vendor (NOT THESE PEOPLE!).
I am in the Customer Relations business myself and am utterly appalled that these people claim to be in the same field of work as myself. These people are the ### of the earth, not to be trusted with a penny!

Enclosed are pictures of the "damaged' shoes, please, enjoy a good laugh at their expense!

Purchased a pair of shoes from shoebuy.com, reviewed bank statement and a debit from by bank account from TLG GreatFN8 appeared, when I contacted they advised it was from 20% purchase from shoebuy.com. Contacted shoebuy and they advised a pop up would have come up on their website, advised them that there was no such pop up and that would have not been authorized anyway, per shoebuy, unfortunately there is nothing they can do.

No mention of the 30 day limit in the order confirmation. What kind of company makes it's money by sticking it to honest shoppers? Dishonest companies.

I purchased two pair of shoes but only received one. Have written to them many times asking for an answer to this problem but to no avail, they ignored me. They need to pick up their act. DO NOT BUY FROM SHOEBUY.COM They still have my money. Note MY money NOT theirs!

ShoeBuy.com no refund for &worn& shoes

I will never shop at Shoebuy.com again. They are no Zappos, let me tell you. I ordered 3 boots and promptly picked the one pair that fit like a dream, didn't even take a walk around my house in the other two because they were wrong for many reasons. I sent the two back and noticed only one had been refunded. They sent them back to me claiming I wore them! The shoes were definitely worn that they sent back to me, I will absolutely admit. But, I did not care for the boots and absolutely did not wear them! They are either running a scam or they missed the issue with this particular pair of boots the first time they were returned. Hate Shoebuy!

ShoeBuy shipped shoes by error and then charged my debit card and refused to refund the money until the shoes were received at their shop. They have essentially held my money hostage for their error.

I have to admit i was seduced by their ads. The website was well maintained. Customer satisfaction, easy returns and free shipping both ways! Yeah its free because you receive nothing! my credit card was declined and i had no pending orders on their website. I know my credit card was good. So i proceed to my banks website and see that i had charged 2 times for the same shoe! I called them immediately and confirmed the charges. I was told the orders would be stopped and refunded. As we all know how this story ends. I have no shoes and still not the $98.57 due to me. I am very upset and saddened that a company could still in this day and age in America straight out ROB people out of our hard earned money.

ShoeBuy.com return policy

I actually did not go to this company but ordered a pair of hiking boots from Amazon (who used shoebuy). I have always had good luck with Amazon and would definitely have done my research before paying close to $150 for a pair of shoes. Shoebuy has a terrible return policy. If you order a pair of running shoes, hiking boots, etc. looks like you are only allowed to try them on and walk on the carpet in your house. If you take a walk down the street, and there is even a tiny bit of wear, they absolutely will refuse a refund. You won't know this for a month when the shoes are returned with a rude note. I returned these boots within two days of receiving. This company should not be selling any type of active or athletic gear with this stringent return policy. I feel a little duped by both Amazon and definitely shoebuy. Looking at the reviews of them online, I am not alone. Definitely buyer beware with this company. Try someone reputable like Zappos.

I bought a nice pair of shoes for a wedding from Shoebuy.I ordered them early but failed to try them on before I needed them.I asked to return them when I found out they were too big.They told me by email that it was too late as the return policy stated.I sent another email questioning this as it was only about a day later than the policy stated.Finally I received "special treatment" to return them.After many weeks I emailed again to find out the status of my refund.They told me they had ro record of them being returned.I emailed them the shipping date and the location I sent them to which they had told me.it's been weeks and I have not had any contact from them.They sure are quick to sell you something but the customer service isn't responsive.I think they do it that way too discourage giving a refund.

I took an offer of a discount and just found out they have been charging 12.99 for over a year. I gave them no permission to keep charging my charge card. I called and they said I agreed and there is no refund. I will never buy from them again.

To OP,
Did you have the shipping receipt?Did you insure the return package? Do you have a tracking number? Did you call to inform the receiver that a package was being returned, have the name of the associate? Was it charged on a CC? Call your CC if they don't issue a return.

ShoeBuy.com I will never buy from shoebuy.com again

What a bunch of scammers! I will never buy from shoebuy.com again! i bought a pair of shoes from them and several months later I discovered charges for $12 a month on my charge card for some travel company call real fun. Upon further checking i found that they had actually enrolled me into 2 travel companies wit out my knowledge and was billing my card for a total of $24 a month and ran up $280 in charges before i discovered the fraud. I called the 800 numbers listed on the charge card statement for the travel companies but got voice mail that could not understand English, no way to talk with real person. Visa fraud division got me some customer service company in India and then Visa reversed all the charges. Do not buy form shoebuy.com, but if you do watch your charge card statements for extra charge scams!
