I would like to say my experience with the 728 Yonge St Shoppers Drug Mart location and Scorpion Investigation Agency has been truly disappointing. As an advertising student, I was dissapointed that they had no samples
out to see what the product was like, which you usually had. So I decided to open up the container to test the thickness of the wax, I touched it lightly with the intention of buying debating whether I should get the L'Oreal Studio
Mineral FX or the Indestructables. But I was unsure since I did not want to fully take out a huge chunk and yes I am aware that I shouldn't of touched it but it helped me made my decision. I ended up not making a choice because
there was no tester, so I decided to wipe the little wax residue on my hair since I did not have access to washing station or get it on my clothes. But on the way out, a private investigator by the name of "Bryan" had stopped me
and asked if I wanted to pay for it and if not he threatened to get me arrested. In shock I gave him sarcastic replies but did suggest to pay which I did in the end (receipt 9990209501010001192946). On the way in I got handcuffed
for having hands inside my pockets and got detained for an 1 hour and 25minutes before the arrival of the police. I was given a paper of the legal action which was to ban me from ever going to any Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada FOR LIFE. Afterwards when police came they were explained of the situation and I was released.
During my detainment I tried explaining my story to the Assistant Store Manager while in the backroom when he was talking to the private investigator and in quotation he told me to "Shut Up". I was in shock how the store dealt with the
situation considering I was a frequent shopper at Shoppers Drug Mart and the product was only worth a total of $8.46.
My friends, family and colleagues at my university are well aware of the situation and can not look at the image of Shoppers Drug Mart the same way. Even for myself, I am in shock and in awe that this had happened to me, I can only think twice of ever going into a Shoppers again.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
i suggest you sue the company and the undercover for false arrest, you tried the item you didnt steal it.
Haha I have been told i am banned all because i complainned about a "pharmasist" who needed a reality check clearly and now they claim to have banned me and continue to harrass me about it all the time even though my conplaint had nothing to do with shoppers drug mart store but only 1 particular "pharmasist" and i called and complained now im banned wow how convientant right!?
Im thinking enough is enough and i will be taking my situation much further as now its become a entire stores problem for banning me since it had nothing to do with the actual store and all.. and now im banned from the pharmacy at 1st then all of a sudden they try to hand me a paper stating im banned from entire store and now not just the pharmacy lol
Makes no sense right!?
Hi let me just warn all shopper drug mart customers that if you have any complaints they will ban you. I had a few bad encounters with shoppers in cornwall ontario and complaint about a worker named KIM after i told someone about it at the cornwall square shoppers then i was baned from all shopper in cornwall guess they do not like complaints about their stay. This kim girl was rude and ignorant to me on the plone so i put a complaint in to head office then i told them i got baned for tell shoppers at the square what happen. Seems to be thatr the shoppers head office does not care how their customers are treated. I have 15 family members after i told them this they are all leaving shoppers. It is a shame when a store owner oif all 3 shoppers in cornwall does not care about customer service and head office does not care either. I can see shopper closing soon in cornwall i have heard many other complaints from cornwall people.
Its is a shame for the good employes that do care for the customers but appearntly the owner or head office dont care.
You shouldn't have opened the products to try... Yea with the intention of buying?
What if you didn't like the texture? And you decided not to buy it after all..? Kinda gross that someone would have to buy that hair product with your finger smudge in it... It's like this everywhere... No testers for majority of health:beauty products especially in a drug store... Yeah it's only $8.49.. I would suggest you buy it first next time and return after if you not happy with products since most company now do honor and stand behind their products...
Don't stick your fingers in something if you aren't going to buy it. Period. Would you buy something that had fingerprints in it? Didn't think so.
You have no idea what a pain it is for employees who have to find and write off every item that's been even slightly tampered with, do you, and what a wasteful money loss it is for the store. Previous comments are right: It's not expensive, so buy it first if you want to put finger marks in it, and return it if you're unhappy
