I am writing about this 58L voice + motion dual compartment rectangular sensor can that I bought a few years ago. The sensor stopped working in August 2022 and your team sent me a replacement lid. That worked for a bit, but it stopped working again in September 2023. I requested a second replacement lid on September 13 (Order: SH3278425)
I was told it would be shipped within 3-4 weeks. I checked last week with customer support, they told me they would let me know a shipping number the following day. Of course, they never followed up. I decided to follow up today as it's been 4 weeks now. Your rep told me it'll be another 2-4 weeks. I am appalled that no one even proactively told me there's ANOTHER delay.
This is a $300 trash can. I expect quality service. Instead, your team has been condescending, unhelpful, and frankly just nasty.
This product clearly should not have been released as this is the SECOND time I've had to replace the main part of the product. I purchase simplehuman products because I believe them to be high quality and high design. This trash can has proven otherwise.
What would make me satisfied and whole is if you sent me the equivalent mechanical version (https://www.simplehuman.com/products/rectangular-liner-pocket-step-can-58l-dual-compartment) since that is in stock now. Your rep claimed that I need to wait until mid-November to get a replacement lid or replacement trash can.
Please connect me to someone at your team who can actually address my issue. It's horrible to be unable to use a $300 trash can for TWO MONTHS (not to mention an additional month last year).
Claimed loss: $300 and 3 months of use.
Desired outcome: Refund for full item or replacement product.
