Warning: Stay Away from the NEW Skinstore - Poor Website, Bad Customer Service, Missing Products, and Frustration Guaranteed
Been buying from Skinstore for years and always been happy with my experience. But now, Skinstore changed hands and I'm warning everyone to stay away. The website is extremely poor, they eliminated the list of my favorite products and reordering is now tedious. It takes much longer to receive products ordered from the new Skinstore. Ordered products are canceled days later, you think a product is on its way... but it's not. Last week I received 1 shipping box with only 1 of 4 purchased products and I can't seem to get any help from Skinstore in obtaining the 3 missing products for which I paid. The missing 3 products weren't canceled, Skinstore just didn't pack them in the box- like I wouldn't notice? What kind of retailer only ships 1 out of 4 products? A bad one- stay away from the NEW Skinstore. Oh, yeah, no packing slip enclosed so I had to log into my account to check what was "allegedly" shipped. Customer service is rock bottom and guaranteed to frustrate- when I am able to reach someone. Phones are closed on the weekend! One must use their buggy "messaging" system and wait 24-48 hours for a response. Responses must be written by a robot because I am asked for the information I already provided- further delaying resolution. So, I log into the buggy messaging system and provide the same information, yet again, and must wait 2 days again for a response. Chat is useless, I was promised a response within 48 hours after the warehouse checked its records and, surprise, no response after 48 hours. If I don't receive proper resolution within the next few days I will contact my credit card issuer and proceed with a chargeback for the items I never received. I can see from the other reviews that other customers are just as disappointed as I am. Skinstore will be out of business soon or perhaps purchased by a company that can restore the Skinstore to its former glory. If there is a product I wish to purchase and I can only find it on Skinstore- forget it, I won't buy it. I'm done.
SkinStore: A Nightmare Experience - Lost Package, Runaround, and No Responsibility
I gotta say, my experience with SkinStore was a total nightmare. I ordered some skincare products and they never arrived. Fed Ex confirmed that the package was lost, but SkinStore kept giving me the runaround, saying they needed to "investigate" and "look into this further." I mean, come on, it's pretty obvious what happened here.
To protect myself, I filed a dispute with PayPal, but SkinStore still wouldn't take responsibility. They even tried to get me to close the dispute, which would have left me with no leverage against them. It's like they were playing a game or something.
I finally had enough and escalated the dispute with PayPal. And you know what SkinStore said? They claimed that they couldn't do anything because of the PayPal claim. But that's a total lie! I hadn't even escalated the case at that point, so there was no "claim" yet. They were just trying to delay and avoid taking responsibility.
I'm so fed up with this whole situation that I'm going to file a consumer complaint with the FCC. I mean, it's just not right for a company to treat their customers like this. I wouldn't recommend SkinStore to anyone.
SkinStore Review: Poor Customer Service, Invalid Discount Codes, No Return Policy
I've been shopping at SkinStore for a long time now, and I have to say, I'm not too happy with their recent changes. I used to get occasional discount codes, but now I get bombarded with emails every day or so. I tried to use one of the codes, but it kept saying it was invalid. Then I got a code to entice me to come back, but when I tried to use it, it only took off a measly $13 from my $369 order. Needless to say, I didn't complete the purchase.
To make matters worse, I accidentally bought the wrong TNS product, but there was no shipping label in the box to return it. And now, SkinStore doesn't even respond to my emails. It's frustrating that there's no way to return items or get in touch with customer service. I even tried looking them up on the Better Business Bureau, Google, and Yelp, but they're nowhere to be found.
I also bought a Vitamin C serum that doesn't work well with my makeup. It causes it to pill up and rub off during the day. But when I tried to return it, there was no way to do so. It's disappointing that SkinStore doesn't offer any kind of return policy or customer service.
I'm not the only one who's had issues with SkinStore. I've read other reviews that say similar things. It's frustrating that they're not an honest company and that they're trying to unload products before going out of business. They own a lot of companies, and it seems like they have their hands in too many cookie jars.
I want to warn others about SkinStore and their fraudulent practices. I'm going to start posting reviews on their other companies to let people know that they're not dealing with an honest company. The SkinStore now is not the real SkinStore, and I don't want anyone else to get duped like I did.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend shopping at SkinStore. They don't have a good return policy, their customer service is non-existent, and their discount codes don't work. It's a shame that they've changed so much from the company I used to love.
SkinStore Review: Terrible Customer Service and Shipping Delays
I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with SkinStore. I ordered some cosmetics on June 6th, and two weeks later, I got someone else's order. I tried emailing the company using the email address they gave me on my order confirmation, but it turns out that email address doesn't even work! I had to do some digging to find out that the company is actually located in England, and they're called The Hut Group.
So, I started emailing back and forth with them, and they kept asking for my order number. I gave them the number from my confirmation email, but they kept saying it was the wrong one. Then they asked for pictures of the items I received, so I sent them some pictures of the wrong products and the packing slip that had someone else's name on it. But then they said they didn't get the attachments, so I had to send them again. It was a whole thing.
Eventually, they wanted me to get a quote on how much it would cost to return the items. But I wasn't about to make two trips to the post office, so I just shipped the items back to somewhere in the USA and told them how much it cost. Four days ago, they finally emailed me asking for a number to contact me so they could refund me. I gave them my phone number, but I'm still waiting for my refund!
It's been almost a month and a half since I ordered from SkinStore, and I still haven't received my products. I ended up just ordering them from Amazon and getting them in two days. Honestly, I don't think I'll be ordering from SkinStore again.
Update: I finally got a refund for the products I ordered on July 13th. But it's now August 21st, and I'm still waiting for a refund for the cost of shipping back the incorrect products. I've tried calling and using their web contact form, but I haven't had any luck. I guess I'll just have to give up on that $17.51.
SkinStore Review: Terrible Customer Service and Deleted Account
Wow, I gotta say, my experience with SkinStore was something else. I ordered a product worth $435 on May 26th, using a discount code that two of my friends recommended. I even paid extra to get it delivered in 1-2 days, but with everything going on with the virus, I wasn't too fussed if it took a bit longer. I mean, their warehouse is probably understaffed, right?
Anyway, to my surprise, it almost immediately said that my order had shipped, and Fedex confirmed that they had received the order information. However, after a day or two, there was still no sign of my order, and Fedex hadn't updated their tracking information. I wasn't too worried at first, as Fedex has messed up before, but as more and more days passed, I started to get concerned.
So, I messaged SkinStore on their website on June 2nd, providing documentation of what Fedex had said. I was hoping they would be more cooperative and help me out, especially since I've had issues with Fedex before. The immediate email I got back said that a response should be available in 24 hours, but it could take up to 48 hours.
After 24 hours, I messaged them on Facebook, and after 48 hours, I messaged them on Instagram. But still, no response. That's when I started to do some digging and discovered that a lot of people had not received their orders, or anything more than brief automated responses. It was pretty frustrating.
Then, I looked on their Facebook page and saw that a bunch of people had complained about the same problem on a single post. So, I shared my experience as well. By this point, we had already contested the charge with the credit card company.
But here's where things get really weird. I went to log in to my SkinStore account, hoping that my negative review on their Facebook post would get their attention. But when I logged in, I discovered that all of my messages and orders had been deleted. And when I tried to log back in through Facebook, it appeared as though my correspondence and order had been deleted, when in fact my whole account had been deleted.
Fortunately, I had taken a screenshot of everything. But still, it was a pretty frustrating experience. I wouldn't recommend SkinStore to anyone, based on my experience and the experiences of others.
Terrible Experience with Skinstore.com: False Promises, Poor Customer Service, and No Refunds
I had a really bad experience with skinstore.com. I wanted to write a review on their website, but I couldn't find a place to do it. So, I searched online and found Trustpilot. I was surprised to find that many people had the same bad experience as me with Skinstore.com recently.
I made a purchase in early March. I ordered eight items, including a free gift with purchase. I received a package from them soon after, but it only contained three low-priced items. I was confused because on their website, it said that the other five items were being processed. So, I waited.
A few weeks later, I received an email from them saying that they had cancelled the free gift. I was disappointed because if it wasn't for the gift, I would have bought the items from another website. How could they promise me something and then take it away? I contacted customer service and asked them to give me a gift of similar value and to let me know when they would ship the rest of my order. They said they would try to find something in the warehouse and get back to me.
A few weeks went by, and I still hadn't heard anything. I contacted them again, and the same person told me that they would give me $5 instead of the gift that they claimed was worth $309. They also said that they couldn't send the rest of my order to me because I live in China (actually Hong Kong). I was frustrated because I had ordered from other US-based websites in February and March and had received my orders without any problems. It seemed like Skinstore.com was hopeless.
I asked them to cancel my order and refund the shipping fee as well. They said that since part of the order had already been sent, they couldn't refund the shipping charge. I didn't ask them to send me whatever was available first. They sent me a few low-priced items, and with the shipping fee, I ended up paying more than if I had bought the items from another website. Why should I choose Skinstore.com? There are many websites that offer free shipping. It's like they lure you in with discounts and free gifts, and then you end up suffering.
Even now, I'm still ordering things with international shipping. Why don't they stop shipping internationally if COVID-19 is stopping them from sending everyone their orders? It's totally ridiculous. Overall, I had a terrible experience with Skinstore.com, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
SkinStore Review: Shady and Unreliable - My Frustrating Experience
I gotta tell ya, I had a pretty rough time with SkinStore. I was really excited to place my order on August 5th, but when I got my order summary email, I noticed that a promotional bundle was missing. I spent over $165 to qualify for the free gift, so I was pretty upset. I tried to cancel my order online, but the cancel button wouldn't work. I reached out to customer service, but it took them three whole days to get back to me. When they did, they said they had no record of me trying to cancel. I explained that it was their website that was the issue, but they didn't seem to care.
I asked them to just send me the promo gift, but they said it wasn't applicable on the day I made my purchase. I knew that wasn't true, because I had the promo emails to prove it. I was still getting emails from them that were dated before, during, and after my purchase date. I was so frustrated that I ended up disputing the charge with my credit card company.
When SkinStore found out about the hold on my payment, they messaged me and said they actually did see that I tried to cancel. They asked if they could just send me the promo gift, and I said that would be fine. But I was still suspicious, so I didn't call my credit card company to release the funds until I received my items.
The next day, I got an email with a tracking number. I checked it the next day, and it said my package was on its way. But when I checked again the day after that, it said the package was being returned to the shipper! I couldn't believe it. I have proof of all my communication with them and the shipping history, so I know I'm not crazy.
To top it all off, I tried to log into my account to take screenshots of everything, but my account was gone! They didn't recognize my email or password. It's like they erased all my purchase history and correspondence. I saved all my emails, though, so I have proof of everything.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend SkinStore to anyone. They're really shady and unreliable.
Terrible Service and Glitchy Website - Avoid Shopping Here!
This company is not the best, I suggest you save your money and shop elsewhere. I usually don't leave reviews, but this one takes the cake, so I will. I bought a product that didn't list fragrance on the label (I have a severe fragrance allergy), but when I opened it to try it, it was highly fragranced, and I reacted quickly and poorly. To start with, although I ordered the product, and the product arrived, I never received a confirmation email. So when trying to return it, I was already behind the 8 ball, so to speak. And I spent weeks wondering if I had imagined ordering it since I never received confirmation or an order number or anything.
I called the customer support line and waited 75 minutes (1 hr 15 mins) for nobody to answer. Just waiting and waiting, it was the middle of the day on a weekday, there's no way they could be that busy with calls. I don't believe they would ever have answered, but in any case, I had to hang up because I had to leave for work. I submitted my request for assistance through their online message center the next day, and have now been messaging back and forth for over a month just trying to get return instructions. They are extremely unhelpful and just ask the same questions over and over, and you never get anywhere. It is madness. A simple return due to an allergic reaction to a fragrance that was not listed on the website ingredients should be straightforward and not take longer than a week to arrange.
However, this has not been my experience, and overall, their service could not be worse. Additionally, the website doesn't work properly. When I write a message and send it, sometimes it goes through, and other times it doesn't. So after writing a message, if I don't go back in and check and perhaps re-write it, it hasn't even reached them! This must have something to do with why I never received a confirmation email. Definitely glitches in their website function that make shopping there a huge pain.
Their service is terrible, their website doesn't work properly, and they don't answer their customer support line. And you can't just email back and forth through regular means either, you have to log into their site to send a message and log back in to read their response (if you get one) - it's such a hassle.
Overall, I can't think of why anyone should shop here. Especially if you have allergies, don't try products from this site because they are not helpful in any way when trying to return items that have triggered reactions.
BUYER BEWARE! You've been warned.
Terrible Experience with SkinStore: Order Canceled, Refund Delayed, and Return Process a Nightmare
I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with SkinStore. I ordered a Nuface on their website on December 30th, 2016 because they had a nice discount going on. But boy, did things go downhill from there. I got an email from their customer service team saying that my order had been canceled because the item wasn't available, and that I could expect a refund in 3-7 business days. I waited until January 10th, 2017 and still hadn't received my refund, so I reached out to them. They told me that the package was on its way and to give it a few more days. I mean, come on, really?
Finally, the package arrived and I contacted them again on January 14th, 2017 to ask for the return information. I'm so glad that I requested a signature and insured the package because there were even more problems. First, they asked for a receipt when I sent the return package so that they could refund my postage. I did it on the USPS website, so I didn't have a physical receipt, but I had a shipping label with all the details on the side. I assumed that was an e-receipt, but they had an issue with that. They told me to go to the local post office and hand my package to the staff so that I could get a physical receipt. I don't understand why that was necessary.
I uploaded my receipt again, but they said that they couldn't accept it because there were no price details on it. Seriously? I wrote back and told them that USPS has an online service called Click-N-Ship that allows me to pay the postage online, and if they had more problems, they should have a customer service member check with a local post office. I had done everything they had asked for and provided everything that I had. They finally refunded me on January 27th, 2017, and the return package was delivered on January 26th, 2017 with someone signing for it.
I thought that was the end of it, but unfortunately, I wrote to customer service about my refund, and they told me that they hadn't received the package. I was so glad that I requested a signature, so I uploaded proof that the package had been signed for. Finally, they said that they had issued my refund and that it would take 3-5 business days to show up in my account on February 6th, 2017. But even now, I still haven't received my refund, and I contacted them about it. They told me that they would check and let me know. Today is February 20th, 2017, and I don't know when I'll get my refund.
I'm definitely not going back to SkinStore ever again, and I suggest that you don't either if you care about your money. It's been almost two months, and I'm running out of patience. I think I'll report this to the BBB if they don't give me my money back by the end of this month.
SkinStore Review: Frustrating Experience, But They Made It Right
I gotta say, I was pretty ticked off when I first ordered from SkinStore. I mean, I had to wait FOUR MONTHS for my order to arrive! And don't even get me started on the customer service - or lack thereof. It took me 16 emails and 5 international phone calls just to get them to send out my order. And when I asked for a refund, they refused! Can you believe that?
But I gotta give credit where credit is due. After I left a scathing review, they actually reached out to me and made things right. They replaced my damaged products and even offered me a store credit for a future purchase. I mean, it shouldn't have taken a bad review for them to do the right thing, but at least they did it.
Now, I will say that SkinStore was taken over by The Hut Group, and they seem to be buying up every small competitor they can find. And let me tell you, their customer service is a mess. But maybe it was just bad timing for me - my order was placed right before a change of ownership. And to be fair, the replacement items arrived quickly. They could have been packed more securely, but hey, at least they arrived.
So, while I still think The Hut Group needs to get their act together, I'm willing to give SkinStore another chance. Just be warned - if something goes wrong, you might have a hard time getting it resolved. But hey, that's just the risk you take when you order from a company like this.
SkinStore Complaints 31
the company failed to respond to a return request
I developed severe eye irritation for days right after using Obagi eyelash enhancing serum. I contacted SkinStore customer services immediately, and provided all the information and photos they requested. they initially said that it will take 2-3 working days to respond my request. I didn't hear back a week later, I messaged them again. They then said that they are waiting for their quality team to respond my request. Another week has gone by, no response. I reached out to them again, they kept saying that they're sorry for the delay but they are still waiting for the quality team's response. It has been 2 months now that they continue to fail to address my request. I've followed all their required steps, my return request keeps showing as completed in my account when in fact that they have not done anything to address it.
Desired outcome: Please process the return/refund.
RevitaLash Eyelash Conditioner 2ml
Bought Revitalash Eyelash Conditioner from SkinStore. The product caused infection to my eyes. I reported to SkinStore right away and was promised to be contacted in 2-3 business days. Nothing happened ever since, no response and no follow up. Then I had to contact them 3 times for follow up. Same thing, was promised to get a response in 2-3 business days, but nothing happened.
Finally, it took me 20 days to get their response saying the product has no issue, and I need to provide doctor certificate for my eye infections to get refund. I stopped using the product right away, and wouldn't put on the product again to be infected again to get the doctor certificate.
Very ridiculous, very bad communication, no customer service at all.
Desired outcome: Return the default product and get refund
Allergic reaction - trying since April to get a refund
I filed a complaint in April with skinstore.com and have complied with all requests. I've given lot numbers, photos, filled out skin reaction reports and even sent the testing results from my doctor and safe products list and I am still be ignored and waiting. They are stringing me along like it's a joke. I believe they have intent of issuing a return/refund. Offline, I'd be happy to email you the pictures, lot numbers, and doctor's testing. Worst company ever.
Desired outcome: Refund $400 for five products.

Terrible Experience with SkinStore: Order Never Received and Poor Customer Care
I had a really bad experience with SkinStore. I was excited to receive my order, but unfortunately, I never got it. The tracking information they sent me showed that the order was never shipped. I was really disappointed and frustrated, so I decided to call their customer care. However, their automated phone system was really bad. I called twice during working hours, but a recording said they were closed. When I called back, a recording kept disconnecting me three times when I selected to speak with customer care. It was really annoying.
Finally, on my seventh attempt, I was able to speak with a person. They told me that I needed to call back on Monday for a refund or for them to resend the order. They said I needed to wait ten days after not receiving my product for them to help. I was really upset because I needed the product urgently. When I called back on Monday, I had the same drama with the phone system. It was really frustrating. Finally, I was able to speak with someone, and I asked if I could get the order resent with rush shipping since I had been waiting and I was not leaving town. However, they told me that a manager would not approve that. I was really disappointed because they clearly did not care about providing customer service.
They told me I could request a refund, which a manager would review and accept in 30 minutes. They said I was supposed to receive an email confirming that a refund was approved, but I never received it. I had to go through the phone system again the next day, and after a hold, I was able to connect with customer care on the third call. It was really sad that I considered that a win with this company. They told me that the refund was approved, but I am still waiting to see if I will actually receive it.
Overall, my experience with SkinStore was really bad. I never received my order, and their customer care was really frustrating to deal with. I hope they can improve their service in the future.
Skinstore Review: Poor Customer Service and Unfulfilled Promotions
I made an order on Skinstore a few months ago and spent a whopping $500 on two products. The reason I chose Skinstore over other sellers was because of a promotion they had for the NuFace Gel Primer, which was worth $48, if you bought the Trinity Set. I was really excited about this promotion and it was the only reason I spent so much money on one order.
However, I never received the Gel Primer. At first, Skinstore told me that there was a delay and that it would be delivered later. I received two emails from them asking me to wait a bit and they assured me that the missing item would be shipped soon. I waited for months and checked the status of the product from time to time, but it always showed "in progress" or something similar.
After waiting for so long, I decided to contact customer service and was shocked to discover that the missing item had been cancelled by Skinstore! I was really disappointed and felt like I had been scammed. They had lured me in with their promotion, but never fulfilled their obligations.
To make matters worse, the customer service was really poor. They only offered me a credit for $5 instead of the missing item worth $48! This was really unfair and felt like they were trying to cheat me. It's not good business practice and it's unfair competition, as they lure customers who would make their purchases at other sites.
What's more, the customer service kept telling me that the Gel Primer was "out of stock" when it was actually available and in stock on their site. It felt like they were lying to me and treating me like I was stupid.
I've ordered almost everything online in my life, but I've never seen such an unreliable business and such poor customer service. I would advise everyone to be aware of Skinstore and their promotions. Don't fall for their tricks and don't waste your money on their site.
Disappointing Experience with SkinStore: Delayed Shipping and Payment Issues
I just want to say that I had a really bad experience with SkinStore. I placed an order on October 27th, and I paid extra for 1-2 day shipping because I needed the items quickly. However, 48 hours later, my order still hadn't shipped. I contacted customer service, and they told me that there was a problem in their warehouse and that it could take an additional 2-4 days for my order to ship. I was really frustrated because I had paid extra for fast shipping, and my order was over $500.
I decided to cancel my order through the website and sent messages to confirm the cancellation. I didn't receive a confirmation, so I initiated a live chat and was told that my order had been canceled. This was on October 29th.
However, on November 4th, I noticed that SkinStore had charged my credit card. I contacted customer service again, and they told me that they were issuing a refund. I'm still waiting for the refund to show up on my account.
In the meantime, I ordered from another company and received my items with standard shipping. I will never order from SkinStore again because of this experience. It was really frustrating to pay extra for fast shipping and then not receive my items on time. I hope that SkinStore can improve their customer service in the future.
Poor Customer Service and Shipping Error: My Experience with SkinStore
I recently had a not-so-great experience with SkinStore. I placed an order for some products that came out to $56.20, but when I received notice that my order had shipped, I was shocked to see that it was being sent to an address I hadn't lived at for over 3 years! Apparently, their system had pulled an old shipping address from an order I placed way back in 2015. I immediately reached out to their customer service team, but they were less than helpful. They tried to tell me that I must have entered the old address into their system, which made no sense to me. Why would I do that? I knew it was their mistake, but they refused to take responsibility.
Their customer service team only offered me two options: I could try to contact the owner of the old address to intercept the package (which seemed like a ridiculous suggestion), or I could wait until the package was returned to SkinStore. But they don't offer a "return to sender" option for customers, so I would have to wait until the package was returned to them before I could get a refund. Even though I told them I wanted the products delivered, not a refund, they didn't seem to care. I was really disappointed with their lack of service.
I did manage to contact the owner of the old address, and they agreed to intercept the package for me. But despite my best efforts to track down the package with the local post office, I eventually received notice that it had been disposed of by USPS. To add insult to injury, SkinStore only refunded me $1! I was really insulted by this, and it just confirmed that they don't value their customers at all.
Overall, I would caution anyone who's thinking of doing business with SkinStore. They don't seem to care about their customers, and their customer service is seriously lacking.
Terrible Customer Service and Unrealistic Demands: My Experience with Skin Store
Skin Store is not a good place to order products from. Their customer service is terrible and they make unrealistic demands of their customers when it comes to returning products for a refund. I had to provide them with the batch number and expiry date, details of the issue, and an image to show consistency. The file had to be in one of several formats and not exceed 3 MB. I sent all the information they requested, but I couldn't find the expiration date on the products. When I told them this, they were unable to tell me where to locate the information on the product or product box. They then asked me to confirm the length of use, how long the product had been open, and to send a photo of the reaction or describe it in more detail. They also asked me to confirm the expiration date of the product. This back and forth banter went on for seven days. I stopped using the product and used a steroid cream to alleviate my facial redness and rash. I felt as if they were trying to run me off, and it worked. I will never use this site again.
SkinStore Review: Terrible Customer Service, Avoid at All Costs
Yo, listen up! I gotta tell you about my experience with SkinStore. I've been ordering from them for over 6 months now, dropping some serious cash each month on their products. But let me tell you, their customer service is straight-up terrible. When I had small issues, like missing freebies, they wouldn't even ship them to me. I let it slide, but then I moved and they shipped my order to my old address. When I asked them to change it, they said they couldn't do it. What kind of BS is that? I had to drive 30 minutes just to pick up my package. And when I finally got it, they forgot some of my products. I had to go back and forth with different reps, sign a document, and provide my new address. But when they finally shipped my missing products, they sent it to my old address AGAIN! I was so pissed off. I told them they should have cancelled the order and explained my options. But they didn't take any responsibility and didn't even offer an apology. I had to deal with five different reps and none of them were helpful. So, my advice to you is to avoid SkinStore and spend your money with a company that actually cares about their customers.
Disappointing Customer Service: My Experience with SkinStore
I recently bought a foundation from SkinStore and it turned out to be the wrong shade. I was hoping to exchange it for the right one, but unfortunately, they don't do exchanges. To make matters worse, the foundation was too dry for my skin, so I couldn't even use it. When I asked about returning it, I was told that they don't accept returns on opened or used items. I was really disappointed with their customer service and won't be shopping with them again. It's frustrating that they don't allow returns or exchanges, especially when there are other companies out there with much better customer service. I wish they could have been more accommodating, but I guess that's just how it goes sometimes. Overall, I wouldn't recommend SkinStore to anyone looking for a hassle-free shopping experience.
Terrible Customer Service and Shipping Issues with SkinStore: A Review
I gotta say, my experience with SkinStore was just plain awful. I ordered some stuff that was supposed to be "in stock" and ready to ship within 24 hours, but that didn't happen. And to make matters worse, they charged my credit card right away! I mean, come on, most stores don't do that. They only charge you when the item actually ships. Anyway, I tried emailing their customer service team to see what was going on, but they were no help at all. They just kept telling me they were taking care of it, but nothing happened for days.
After a while, I got fed up and asked them to cancel the order. I found the same stuff at another store and got it the next day, no problem. But even canceling the order was a nightmare. Two different women emailed me back saying they had canceled it, but the online status in my account didn't change. And then, to top it all off, they went ahead and shipped the item anyway! I couldn't believe it.
When I asked for a return label, they refused to send me one. They said I had to ship it back myself and they would only refund part of the shipping costs, even though they admitted it was their mistake. (And by the way, this is totally different from what their website says.) And now they're saying they'll only refund the shipping costs as store credit! After weeks of going back and forth with them, being lied to over and over again, I'm just done. Why would I ever order from them again?
Their customer service is just terrible. They don't care about helping you at all. They just feed you lies to get you off their back. I'm pretty sure they shipped the item just to force me to pay for it, and now they're doing everything they can to make it hard for me to send it back. I've even had to dispute the charge with Amex because I'm not getting anywhere with them.
Honestly, I would tell anyone to stay far, far away from SkinStore. This was by far the worst online shopping experience I've ever had.
SkinStore Review: Poor Delivery and Missing Items, but Good Customer Service
I gotta say, I've had a couple of experiences with SkinStore and they haven't been the best. The first time I ordered from them was back in May of 2018 and I still haven't received my package. I mean, come on, it's been over two months! The tracking info says it's been shipped but it hasn't been delivered yet. The last update was from May 18th, saying that the electronic shipping info was received in Shepherdsville, KY. That's not very helpful, is it?
But I will say, their customer service was pretty good. They offered me a replacement or a refund and I got my money back pretty quickly. So that was a plus. But then I decided to give them another chance and ordered from them again on July 2nd. This time, the package did arrive on July 11th, but it was in pretty bad shape. It looked like it had been damaged or tampered with.
When I opened it up, I found some of the products I ordered, but not everything. There was no packing slip and one of the items was missing. I contacted customer service and they told me they had had this issue before and that they were going to investigate it with their courier. They even sent me a form to fill out, which basically said that I wasn't lying about the missing item. I mean, seriously? Do they think I'm making this up?
I'm not, by the way. I just want what I paid for. It's not my fault that SkinStore messed up my order twice. And to accuse me of lying about it is just insulting. I'm tired of dealing with this and I just want it to be over. I'm waiting to hear back from them about their "investigation" and I'm even considering getting the police involved. It's just ridiculous.
SkinStore Review: Dishonest and Unreliable - Would Not Recommend
I recently made two orders on SkinStore's website and unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. In my first order, I had included the Aesop Exfoliating Duet, but it was cancelled due to being out of stock. However, I noticed that the product was still available online, so I decided to place another order with two of the Aesop Exfoliating Duets along with other items. To my dismay, only one of the two Aesop Exfoliating Duets was shipped to me, despite being charged for both.
Furthermore, the packaging of the items was not done properly and two of my items had leaked and were damaged. I tried to contact SkinStore through their app, but the messages I received were confusing and contradictory. One representative claimed that the second Aesop Exfoliating Duet had not been shipped yet, while another representative said that I had only ordered one. It was frustrating to deal with this company as they did not seem to be looking at my order receipt or credit card charges, which clearly showed that I had ordered and paid for two of the items.
Despite being promised a refund for the damaged products, I did not receive one and had to resort to asking my credit card company for a chargeback. However, the day after I requested the chargeback, SkinStore intentionally deleted my account. This was likely done in an attempt to erase any evidence of our correspondence and their admission that they did not send the second Aesop Exfoliating Duet. In their final message to me, they even claimed that I had only ordered one of the items, which was not true.
I am extremely disappointed with SkinStore's behavior and feel that their actions were dishonest and deserving of a lawsuit. I have never had such a terrible experience with a company before and would not recommend them to anyone. It is important for companies to take responsibility for their mistakes and treat their customers with respect, which SkinStore failed to do in my case.
Service
3.9,22. this was the date as placed an order for Dr Dennis Gross daily pads. I was told the order no [protected] would be dispatched and an e mail came through 2 days later saying i could follow tracking. 3 weeks later no delivery!
i e mailed 3 times to be told it was on the way and would be with me within 24 hours. Still no order after 3 more days. I telephoned the Hut group who told me the product was in the warehouse and could see no reason why i had not received it. Kia told me it would be with me again in 24 hours - it was not! I was then told by Sarah who called me on 23 September to say they couldn’t deliver the goods i ordered - she didn’t know why - only that i would be reimbursed!?
Then my account received a credit but not my credit card ! i wanted the credit to my card not the account as i wanted to buy the said product elsewhere, but as Skinstore credited my account i was unable to buy anywhere else! I now have credit in my account which i’m unable to use and have tried to e mail and explain and speak on chat but nobody helps me or understands what i’m trying to tell them! I am so frustrated and fed up - the whole situation has been stressful and caused me anxiety!
Desired outcome: I would like an explanation and i would like a credit for the inconvenience caused and the fact i am unable to buy the ,product elsewhere as skinstore have kept my credit
No solution/ no proper response to my concern
Its been almost 8-9 days now, i received the delivery but product is missing. I'm writing email to the customer service and they are asking me to wait and no solution till now. There is no call or mail until i do, such a poor and worst customer service. Date of delivery of product: 8th aug 2021. Order: 99012. Desirable resolution: Need the same product or need refund of the money
Triple Lipid Cream
I ordered $400 worth of product from them. They shipped me a damaged OPENED ANS BROKEN SEALED item. I provided 15 photos. Each time they claimed they couldn't see them. Product and box damaged. Inside product NOT sealed. They talk in circles so you let it go. Horrible and rude customer service. They said the "box did it's job, no?" I refuse to use any product that has a broken seal and the inside product doesn't even have one. Both items were damaged. Rude. Don't answer. Every time someone else answered and asked for "additional photos" as you can see the photos are clear. The seal is clearly broken. They wanted me to keep it for a discount. They are selling USED PRODUCTS
Desired outcome: Refund
Skin Medica TNS essential serum
I purchased TNS Essential serum from the Skin store for $269.65. There are two chambers. One chamber contains red serum, the other chamber contains pink peptide serum. When you pump the bottle both red and pink serums are supposed to emerge from separate holes. The bottle I received only has one working chamber(the red serum). The chamber containing the pink serum appears to be empty because nothing comes out.
Desired outcome: Refund or exchange.
Skincare order
I ordered from skincare 400 dollars worth of skinceutical product. The package said it was delivered but I never received it. They made me wait 30 days before they could resend my order even though I exhausted all avenues of finding my order in my apartment building and proved it to them. They finally resent my order and I got it 7 weeks after I first placed my ordered. My order was missing one of my items. I wrote messages to customer service and was told it was out of stock. Then I was told they would send when back in stock. They then told me they couldn't send it because it was part of a bundle and since I was sent the other half of the bundle already I would have to send it back or they would give me a 50% refund. I've already started using the other serum so could t send it back and they refused so send me the bottle they didn't include. They made the mistake. I now am not getting a fair refund because the product they didn't send was the expensive part of the bundle that retails for 166 if bought alone and they are only giving me back 120 of my total. They offer no customer service by phone and send a lot of computerized responses without really reading previous messages. I am very disappointed and upset about this transaction. I will never again shop with them.
Desired outcome: A full replacement of my product or a fair refund.
Unethical behavior
I placed the order on December 18th, and it is January 13th. I am waiting for a month's package! ! ! When I track the package, it shows a place outside of the business city (wrong delivery address).
What happens when I seek customer service?
They complained that I left a lot of messages and then closed my box. In addition, they also refused to help me fix the package status because their website showed the package I delivered.
Therefore, I released the support image and it is very hopeful that they can find the problem. But then did not respond to me, no refund.
They even said wrong to me.
It's not about money now. I will post this message here just in case PEOPLE ARE DECEIVED.
Order # 215949298 I was also to get 11 piece beauty bag worth $177.00
No update on when the remaining order will be shipped...i will no longer order from this company...at least let me know the status. I called the complaint number and its not working...never again
