sky sports commentator comments.
I watched the Kil.arnock v Celtic game last night and was disgusted with one of your pundits comments in the post match piece.
Kris Boyd made comments that a Celtic player, namely Leigh Griffiths has to be mentally strong for any criticism and to play the game.
Mr Griffiths has been out recently due to mental health issues that have been widely reported on and Mr Boyd is indeed a patron of a mental health programme so I found his comments to be in extremely bad taste. I know he has no time for Celtic due to being an ex Rangers player but I would expect better from Sky Sports.
There was no apology made or any comment of remorse or anything like that about Leigh Griffiths
If Mr Boyd had made a racist or bigoted comment I'm sure he would be told to apologise.
So why not in this instance?
It was crass and a cruel jibe from Mr Boyd and this should be dealt with in an extreme manner.
A public apology the next time he is on air should be given, that is if Mr Boyd is on air again.
In my opinion this pundit should be relieved of his duties, it was crass and quite a sick thing to say about a high profile player who has a well known documented mental health issue.
kris boyds leigh griffiths comments
Kris Boyds Verbal attack on Celtics Leigh Griffiths who is just starting to get over a mental illness was disgusting, Boyd a so called football pundit was so intent on discussing Leigh's game record in the last year although he has been side lined by a severe depression mental illness, Boyd is Anti Celtic and should not be given a platform by Sky Sports to promote his disgusting Verbal attack on a fellow professional, he should not be allowed by Sky any where near a Celtic Match, In Fact he should not be allowed to comment on any match as he has lost all credibility by the football viewing public.
live football comments
Chris Boyd with his remarks about a football player who has been going through mental health issues which at the moment is a big problem for many people in all walks of life from the Royal family & myself mental health is not something that should be talked down about or negative remarks I will be going to my local member of Scottish parliament to make my complaints

22/01/2020 on the live programme that was showen last night .Iam completely disgusted at the comments that your pundent Kris Boyd made about Leigh Giffiths. The player has been fighting mental health issues and this guy was out of order And what makes the matter worse he runs a charity for metal health issues he is a disgrace isabella doonan email address [protected]@gmail.com
celtic vs kilmarnock game
The comments after the game by your pundit Kris Boyd were very unprofessional and I'm very surprised that sky allowed this to go on. As a company that support a lot of important issues I hope that he will be dealt with severely as these kind of comments about someone trying to manage mental health issues, which people can take comfort in Leigh's comeback success, is just not on. Deposit which teams anyone's supports these kind of issue which young people are dealing with and looking up to players such as Leigh are so important and it's vital we all give out positive messages. Kris Boyd should be made to give a public apology especially when he founded a charity on that very basis. Bigotry clearly does not matter with him when it comes to mental health!
the commentator kris boyd
The Kilmarnock v celtic game on 22nd at 7.45pm the commentator Kris boyd was terrible the way he was allowed to continue to put down Leigh Griffiths on his mental health issues... Kris should know better from his own family experience and the fave he is behind a mental health charity himself... he should have been pulled off air for his comments and what does that show to anyone watching with mental health issues as he's on t.v. and should be setting an example on these matters. People suffering and watching that last night will continue to suffer in silence because of boyds cruel and thoughtless comments. A public apology should happen and he should never be allowed to comentate again... this is a serious matter and i was appalled at what i heard.

After watching the Kilmarnock V Celtic game I feel I have to raise concerns about comments made by Kris Boyd regarding Leigh Griffiths. Lee Griffiths is on a recovery programme due to suffering from severe mental health issues and I fund it disgusting that Kris Boyd targeted him about his lack.of game time over recent seasons without any mention of his fight with depression and other personal issues. This to me is a severe lack of professionalism and makes it look like Leigh Griffiths has not been playing on a more regular basis due to his lack of professional commitment, when this couldn't be further from the truth.
I have no doubt this was a personal attack on Leigh Griffiths as Kris Boyd is in fact a patron of his own mental health support group and is well aware of the stigma of men in particular talking about mental health.
kris boyd’s after match comments on 21.1.2020
I am disgusted by Kris Boyd's public slating of Leigh Griffiths after last night's Celtic game. He became agitated and launched into a tirade, which was pre-planned as he referred to his notes, stating that Griffiths had only played about 35 of around 130 odd games since 2016. He ranted that he wasn't good enough in training and that's why he hadn't been getting a game, the stats don't lie. The player has had a well documented break from football because of mental health problems and this idiot in the studio sees fit to mock him on tv, telling him he's not good enough, despite knowing of his problems. Boyd started a charity for mental health awareness after his brother committed suicide, so should know more than most the effect these words can have on a person. Boyd has a clear anti-Celtic bias during every game but he's taken it a step too far with his actions last night.
kilmarnock v celtic
The comments made by this so called "pundit" on last nights programme were nothing short of shocking.
This coming from a man who's own brother committed suicide & is the face of a mental health charity.
He's not only a disgrace to himself but also Sky Sports, he should be removed from any future broadcasts.
Who provided him with the so called stats he was obviously reading?
So many inaccurate points from a so called professional company
Kris boyd s treatment of leigh Griffiths last night was disgusting given the troubles leigh has been dealing with lately. He should not be allowed on tv with these opinions.

After watching the kilmarnock v celtic match I was disgusted by the treatment leigh Griffiths received by 1 of the pundits.Abuse about mental health issues should be treated the same as racism on the field. We dont need this in our game and for a pundit to go along with it is a disgrace.Im now considering cancelling my sports package deal after seeing this.
coverage and presentation of scottish football.
As part of your coverage of the Kilmarnock FC versus Celtic FC football match last night, we witnessed astonishing and insensitive behaviour from your presenter Chris Boyd.
The Celtic player, Leigh Griffiths has had a very long, sustained, open and well publicised period of illness from mental health issues. Your presenter Mr Boyd, who is an ambassador for his own mental health charity, through his words and expressions broadcast by you, belittled the struggle Mr Griffiths has been undergoing which has led to him missing the job he loves for a protracted period.
I think Sky and Mr Boyd owe Mr Griffiths, his friends, family and colleagues a public apology for the crass and insensitive broadcasting.

kris boyds comments on leigh griffiths kilmarnock vs celtic (22/1/20)
Kris Boyds comments last night regarding game time of Leigh Griffiths over the last few seasons. It is very well known that Leigh Griffiths has suffered from some very serious mental health problems. This would of been known to Kris before his comments. He made the comments critical of the amount of game time he has played. In the current day and age when mental health is one of the biggest killers of young men these comments and criticism wee totally disgraceful. This happened on Sky Sport main event during the Kilmarnock Vs Celtic game on 22/01/20

Sky Sports coverage of the Kilmarnock v Celtic game 22-01-2020
Post- match analysis was practically non-existant and was used as a platform by pundit Kris Boyd for a verbal assault on Celtic player Leigh Griffiths for which there can be no excuses made on Boyd's behavior. He wound himself up into a frenzy during this tirade and he has no medical knowledge on mental health issues, therefore he has no right to single out a player for these disgusting remarks whilst the player in question suffers from mental health issues. Boyd used "Live TV" to air his opinion on this whilst Griffiths was not around to defend himself which makes Boyd nothing less than a coward. He totally embarrassed the Scotland head coach Stevie Clarke with this shocking outburst and Sky should do the honourable thing and sack Boyd today. Or will we have another Carragher cover-up?
Sack him today or I will be cancelling my subscription to Sky.
sky main event
After the Celtic Kilmarnock game your pundit kris Boyd was out of order talking facts about a footballer who has admitted mental health issues and using his period out of the game due to this issue to state facts. This so called pundit is supposed to be a mental health representative for Sky.i will be terminating my contract to sky .kris Boyd seems to have an alternative agenda when dealing with this player and his team.
sky sports pundit kris boyd
Slagging a football player for there mental health issues during a live football match I find absolutely disgusting and should never be back on tv again. This happened during live coverage of the Kilmarnock v Celtic match.
This man is just as bad as a racist and I can guarantee if he had been racist then he wouldn't be on our screens so same rules should apply to people who slag off people with mental health issues. It's an illness not something to be joked about but he seems to get away with it week after week.
sky sports commentator
Having watched the Kilmarnock v Celtic game on Wednesday 22nd January on sky sports I feel the need to complain about the appalling pundit Kris Boyd. On referring to Leigh Griffiths goal celebration and "throwing " of an object ( which was tape for holding up socks) his obvious dislike and jealousy of everything Celtic is bubbling to the surface. As an advocate for mental health, his rant and lack of empathy is overwhelming. He then compared Alfredo Morelos throat cutting gesture to the throwing of sock tape in a veiled grasp at comparing the two. Is he seriously the best you can get ? BT sadly didn't cover last nights game as their coverage is fair, balanced and satirical . Boys is so consumed with jealousy it's seruosly clouding his bias and judgement .
I hope to hear from you as to where you go from here
kilmarnock v celtic game 22/01/2020
I am writing to complain regarding the above match punditry that was delivered by Kris Boyd. His treatment of Celtic player Leigh Griffiths was disgraceful and completely out of order. Leigh has been suffering from mental health issues and appears to be getting his life back in order. His issues have been very well documented over the past few years yet Mr Boyd decided to have an astonishing attack live on sky sports last night. I feel very strongly about this issue and as such i will be looking to cancel my sky subscription unless something is done about your employee and some kind of apology is issued by yourselves. I await your reply on this very serious matter.
punditry of kris boyd on the celtic v kilmarnock game
Look here's the thing it really takes something before I can be bothered to complain about it and also if I am being honest fans on both sides of the old firm can be very hypocritical, so I get it kris boyd isnt exactly gonna be mr popular when it comes to celtic fans and the reverse could be said about chris sutton on another station. Tonight however it went to far, he clearly came with a prepared agenda with the stats to hand to manipulate the argument to favour his opinion, specifically in relation to games played, no mention however that over this period he spent almost a year out with a serious mental health issue and his constant referral to in his opinion leigh "not having the mental strength to be an old firm player" I think it really is time that mr boyd's bosses were at the very least having a word in his ear, this time last year by all accounts leigh was on the verge of suicide, I would hope sky are at the very least concerned at giving kris boyd the platform from were he appears hell bent on metaphorically pushing him off that bridge
I have just made a complaint along virtually the same lines. YesI’m a Celtic fan, but asWilliam states more eloquently than myself Kris Boyd went too far. This is the first time I have felt so inclined as to register for an account and make a complaint, and waited at least 24 hours or so before complaining so as not to complain “in the heat of the moment”.
sky sports commentator kris boyd
As you are probably all ready aware of kris Boyd's comments after tonight's game at kilmarnock bringing leigh Griffiths down giving him a hard time while the guy is trying to get back after mental health issues. Boyd has no impartial views when it comes to Celtic or Celtic players he is extremely one sided with his views and now has stooped to an all time low criticising some one who has mental health issues and this was not off the cuff he has went and dogged out these stats to have another go at this player. I hope sky sports take a serious stance with this and realise that all Scottish football fans are not happy with what most of the commentators are providing for the games it needs to be shaped up with use being the main provider of games next season we deserve better. Thank for reading my comments
sky sports football (kris boyd)
This is the first time I have ever felt compelled to complain about a broadcast but In my opinion pundits should be seen to be knowledgable and impartial.
Kris Boyd tonight after the Kilmarnock v Celtic game made comments that were one sided and disgraceful re Celtics Leigh Griffiths. Kris quite clearly was reading stats from an auto cue re Griffiths making only 34 appearances in 135 league games in around 4 years, what Mr. Boyd failed to mention was Leigh was contending for 1 striker role against a player that went for £20m in Moussa Dembele but, the shocking and disgraceful thing was Mr. Boyd knew that Leigh was out for almost a year with mental health issues, now if that is not bad enough, Mr Boyd lost his own brother to suicide due to mental health problems and is now an ambassador for his own mental health charity, to omit these facts from his statement is a shocking and embarrassing thing to do. Kris should be offering a full apology on the next broadcast to Leigh, maybe SKY should put there pundits through some sort of testing before allowing them to comment on TV as Kris' appearance and fidgety demeanour may have demonstrated he was notionally clear headed during the broadcast.
