Please please mute alison Whittaker. Im in Australia listening and watching the golf open with the great voices and insight of some of the greats and then this awful noise enters and doesn't shut up. She is ruining the experience. GET HER OFF!

Desired outcome: Sack alison Whittaker

I totally agree with the comments regarding Alison Whittaker, she should be put on the women's tour not the men's. To the part time listener or new she may seem ok but to avid golf fans she is a pity and the men who are forced to co commentate with her are not themselves when she is around such is what this equality nonsense has done. Jay has about 5 or 6 comments a round whereas she never stops, I long for her to go on a tea break or a long dinner break would be much better. Give the male commentators and your avid listeners a break from this overbearing woman whose knowledge of the men's game is sadly lacking

Thanks be for the guys commentating on the French Open Jay Mark Tony and co but will that Whittaker woman ever shut up. No matter what she has done she cannot use female terminology on the men's game. Yes she is changing but it's just not good enough to subject your avid viewers to this kind of annoyance.

Alison Whitaker should be forced to listen to herself for 5 hours commentating on a TV golf tournament.

Only then she might be able to

appreciate just how bad she is compared to other female and male golf commentators.

It is so annoying and off putting to have to listen to her incessant chatter, while stating the obvious, speaking over fellow commentators, always having the first and last say about a particular shot, talking about herself, and relating facts and figures about every golfer to demonstrate her incredible knowledge!

Watching golf on TV used to be an enjoyable and relaxing experience. The mute button was rarely used but not now thanks to AW’s commentary, my finger never leaves it.

In addition her voice is unpleasantly loud and her reaction to shots is raucous, much better suited to rugby league commentating where I definitely believe, and hope she has a future.

I agree completely & have commented on Ms Whittaker on multiple occasions. She is not a natural commentator with funny quips etc. She is displaying a type of in your face professionalism not suited to golf. It does feel like she has learned everything about male golf from a book & is continually trying to prove how knowledgeable she is about our wonderful game. Knowing golfs history is only one part of commentating, one has to be in tune with what's happening at any given moment. The boys sometimes will ask a question about some golfer in the past & suddenly AW is very quiet because she hasn't a clue, She didn't see it in her golf books. She makes silly observations about the course, like she alluded to a certain fairway as turning to the left, she never once used the term 'dogleg' which is how such a hole has always been referred to. Please remove her from any big tournaments as avid golf fans don't want or need this type of domineering commentry forced upon us. Thank you for this opportunity to vent my annoyance & frustration.

Couldn’t agree more. Why?

There must be dozens of qualified commentators available rather than this nobody.

Yes I am complaining again regarding Alison W's nonsensical commentary, this time on the 'ET:Made in Himmerland'. You keep subjecting us to her very bland talk show with little or no quips to get us involved as the guys do. Jay a brilliant commentator is ushered on to the course where he has little input while AW is sitting in the commentary box spewing out her crazy female remarks. That can be the only reason she has got this job, because she is female, & that kind of criteria has backfired very badly on you. It's time for her to move on, you know she doesn't cut it in the men's game where for decades we are used to the best. It's not about being professional & rattling off a series of words, statements & facts. It's about making a few natural humerus quips & talking to us the avid golf followers. AW just goes on & on & on talking bs, while for a while now we have had no input from anyone else. Jay is so far advanced in his remarks that it's embarrassing listening to AW. He gives us vital information which she could never do. There has to be a good job for her in the women's game or some other role. It's a travesty to have her pontificating on the men's game.

The 1st voice we hear is A Whittaker giving us her usual facts & figures, a true professional if that's what you want, most don't but Sky are taking no notice bacause if they did anything they would face the wrath of female organizations everywhere. That's how pathetic it is. I have a suggestion: leave AW present the show, as in other sports that's what's done ie snooker. She can talk about the country & any news items etc but leave the golf commentry to the boys. Since it started today Saturday she has been talking more or less for a full 15 minutes. Please put forward my suggestion.. thank you.

A. Whittaker is totally ruining my golf experience of the Made in Himmerland' day 3. It's the people who gave her this job are to blame. It's painfully obvious that her jealousy of Jay, who is extremely knowledgeable on golf is making her comment unnecessarily. But Jay has only an input of a few words whereas AW seems to be able to pontificate for the entirety of each round. Ha she's gone at the moment. I'm going to cut this short so I can enjoy some of the golf Whittaker free. Please get her out of the men's game.. please

It was great for the last 30 minutes or so AW was on a break, I was really hoping it was permanent, but she's back again talking about make golf. Please do as I asked yesterday, let her present the golf shows but keep her away from the commentary box. Let that to the pros who know the male game & know how to be comical while being serious. It's an art that cannot be learned from Whittaker's golf books. She loves to take over & Jay who is far superior is left outside. She just keeps mouthing off & has no real feel for the men's game. She gets hold of something & won't let go until she exhausts the subject matter. Would someone please shut her up .. good Jay is talking now briefly. Mover A Whittaker on to a presenting role or anything far removed from commentary on the men's game. Thank you

You are really rubbing it into our faces with A Whittaker taking over completely in the commentary box. She made a comment that Ramsey was the only player to hole from the top tier, just after he birdied, so you are giving her the information to the exclusion of the lads. It's getting nonsensical. This equality farce has gone on too long. The lads are afraid to open their mouths because maybe they might be fired. Whittaker is not good enough & is an annoyance as we try to watch our beautiful game. Please move her on to pastures new. But you are just laughing at us because you couldn't care less whether we enjoy the show or not. Shame on you.

For God's sake she, AW, is back again. I taught she was just going to present the show not to comment on the men's game. As I said during 'Made in Himmerland' last week she is getting info over her mouth piece to which the lads are not so you are letting her come across as a know all when in fact she knows very little regarding the men's game. The Scottish Open is a prestigious event & AW should not be commenting. The lads are far superior in every way. Why can't she stick to the women's game what's wrong with that

A quick comment on a remark by Alison Whittaker on Rory McIlroy.. he was in the rough off the tee on the 7th, and she said oddly "it's good to be

Rory McIlroy now and again". Did she mean he got help from the public on his lie as it was a good enough lie. I can't figure it out. I guess it has to be put down to another weird comment by AW.

I am enjoying it more today as AW is not as prominent as previously. I hope it stays that way. Thank you

I did not want to become upset as I am trying to enjoy the Ryder Cup but Alison Whittaker is back dominating once again every time she comments. At least they are all getting their turns which does mean she has to shut uo at intervals, but she can't help herself making loud remarks about the players. Jay is fantastic at shutting her up with his wonderful array of comments going back a long time ago when AW hadn't read any books on male golf. She takes over the commentary box & should never be given that much leeway. She is too loud & nowhere near as experienced as the guys. You have been asked by many to move her on but you are scared of the female movement whose agenda is to shove women into every aspect of life whether they are qualified or not. AW is obviously one of them & getting away with it because Sky are too scared to act

Replying to comment of Dan Ring

Can only agree. No idea why she gets such long sessions on the microphone. She is appalling and they have her commenting on every tournament. Men's, women's , get rid of her. No one can stand her voice. I mute the TV and find another commentary source.

Alison Whittaker is just too much for me. She is now on non stop & the boys who were brilliant entertainment earlier have been forced out. She is obviously getting directions from someone probably a feminist telling her to be more forward & telling the lads to ease off. It was great to hear the guys in great humour until AW was directed to show the Tony Jacklyn clip & we have hardly heard from the guys since. Another pathetic comment by her was when Jay was saying, with tongue in cheek, how crazy it is that what you are aiming for puts you further away from the hole. He was referring to the ball hitting the flag stick but in comes Ms Whittaker with a nonsensical remark 'he probably didn't see it anyway as he was down in the dip' is she on the same planet as the rest of us. Jay wasn't referring to a particular shot but was talking in general in a humorous way. Get rid of her from male golf. She is just not & never will be one of the lads no matter how hard she trys. Let us enjoy our game without AW's interference. Thank you.

Are we going to get any break from Ms Whittaker on this the Singles Day in the Ryder Cup. She has been on from the beginning & you know she is not liked by the majority of avid golf fans but you persist in giving her the lead in the commentary box. Can you tell us why ! I will hazard a guess, it's because she is a woman. There she is pontificating again about the Nicklaus Jacklyn award. Give her the job of presenting but not telling us facts & figures & making her famale comments in the men's game. She is not wanted. What's wrong with the women's game. If she is not there the boys have a great banter but they are obviously told not to exclude her so it's like being in a morgue at times, the lads are so quiet. Please give her another job.

I just want to add, sadly that for the first time I have muted my beloved Golf. Ms Whittaker has ruined the Nedbank Championship for me. With all my numerous comments protesting at the ridiculous remarks etc by Ms Whittaker I never muted because I don't want to lose the atmosphere created by the commentators & the sound of the club's hitting the ball but alas today I just got so frustrated I had no choice she seems to be on nonstop, well I just turned it on again after 2 hours & there she is, the lead commentator saying to Jay..'what about you Jay'. Jay keeps his mouth shut. I don't blame him for not getting involved with her stupid talk. She's as dead as the dodo.

To hell with equality do what's right do what the true golf fans want, professional male golf without Ms Whittaker.. Thank You

I put up with AW today, the 3rd round of the Dubai Invitational but now at the end she is on nonstop. What qualifications has she got other than being female to be the lead commentator. She just can't shut up and many other complainants have said the same thing. Why can't she present the tournaments and not be in the commentary box with the pros. She is surplus to requirements

Alison Whitaker is the most annoying voice in sporting television. A hollow, boring try hard version of Dom. Please just the hell up you failed golfer and let us enjoy European golf in peace. Please stop flapping those enormous gums, it is souring our enjoyment. Though you don't mind lemons...

She is beyond infuriating. She not only has stolen Dom Holiyer's sound and style, but his job too. First LIV, now this. God help us...
