I am scheduled to go on your trip to South Africa leaving Oct. 16th from Newark. So far, I am extremely disappointed in Smart Tours. I originally signed on because of a recommendation from someone who has taken several of your trips. Any time I have called Smart, it has been an exercise in frustration. It takes way too long to reach a rep, and then when I reach one, I get no satisfaction. Please understand firstly that I have traveled overseas at least 25 times, so I know what I'm doing. As of this date, I still have not received my trip information, which, among other things, should include health and medical necessity (like pills, shots). The reps (more than one) I have spoken to basically could not be bothered, telling me to look up information on CDC or another source, that info "was currently being prepared," and that Smart has the right not to send out information until 7 to 10 days before departure, and to look up all info on my own, if I had concerns. So, I'm sitting here with no info and nobody at Smart who can be bothered to follow up. I also have a friend who is taking a different Smart tour with the same complaints.
If this is a portent of how Smart operates, please note that Smart will be receiving terrible reviews from me on line, and that I will not take another of your trips. Smart is running this like fourth class organization.
Desired outcome: I want my trip info/documents asap, as well as an apology from Smart for their poor service and inconsiderate reps.
