SmartPay Finance of iPhone
My iPhone 14 Max Pro cost $1,099.99 new from Metro PCS. I financed it with SmartPay. Eleven months of $192.94 payments equals $2,122.34, including tax. SmartPay made $1,000 in 10 months loaning the money to me. They disguise their illegally high interest rates and calls it a "rental". It's really a loan, a loan is a loan, and SmartPay are loan sharks. I...

I am on my 3rd lease. Prior 2 paid in full or paid off early. I ordered a straight talk phone. Straight talk will cover most phone damage from accidents as long as the phone is on a current and active lease. I've had nothing but trouble trying to get this phone fixed. I am 3 payments from paid out. Over 1k paid all ready on it. The sight I was brought to...

I spoke to a representative on May 19th as I was interested in joining. I was told by one of this rep that for $119.22 it would start service and that deposit would go towards May and June's payments. I disputed the charge with Verizon not realizing it would affect Smart Pay. I won the dispute. On the 25th I paid $124.17 to cover the disputed charge as I didn't mean to dispute with SmartPay. Well now they are telling me I need to pay $55.44 which doesn't make any sense as my monthly payment is $60.39. They also refuse to help. On numerous occasions, I was referred to as stupid by one of their reps, a liar by multiple reps and they now refuse to help. When I open a chat session to get help they immediately close it. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Iphone 12 mini
I purchased a iphone 12 mini through straight talk and Smart pay. I activated the phone on 6/10/23 and on 6/11/23 the phone stopped working saying no SIM card. Straight talk diagnosed the phone for a week and it still wouldn't work. I tried to send it back for a new phone and they sending me back and forth, straight talk saying I got to go through smart pay and smart pay said I got to go through straight talk. Now they have cut my phone service.
Desired outcome: Cut my service back on and pay for days I have missed and take this broken iphone 12 mini back
Phone lease agreement/ wrongfully deactivating service theft and fraud
Order a phone from smart pay in march. The phone was not new after a week of having the phone screen was glitching the phone was very slow had to keep resetting. Contacted smartpay and was ignored for a month. The cost of the phone is $169.79 after I submitted my application and was approved for $400. Picked out the phone and setup service. After sign up I log in my account to get the lease agreement and it said 15 payments of $25.78 and to get full ownership of the phone I have to pay $386.00 plus $169.79 for the cost of the rental plus the price they so called paid for the phone $199.99 along with taxes and fees $91 per payment. I wish I would. On June 8 2023 I purchased a refill pin for monthly services and the next very next day my services where deactivated June 9 2023 because of a failed payment on the phone with smartpay. The payment was not due until June 16 2023. I've contacted both smartpay and total wireless they refuse to refund my money for the refill. The month is almost over with I haven't used my services that I paid non this month. But bet my last dollar that their going to refuse to refund the money for the refill pin and try to make me pay again. I went on the Ohio sectary of state and can not find this business the one I did find was not active there's couple them that's not active. The one that was does not have the same address that's suspect and I bet their are scammers operating illegally. But I'm fed up this company these people are no good bad business and a waste of money. I will be filing this complaint with the department of Justice and any other agency that deal with these fraudulent wanna be wireless terrorists.
Desired outcome: Full refund or small claims court for deceiving lying and steeling from customer extremely overcharges for phone lease
They paid my whole lease off without my confirmation now I’m negative in my account. Customer service won’t even answer no one’s answering emails what a joke for a company.
Smart pay Financing from Metro PCS
I went to Metro PCS & Picked up a IPhone for my son with some earpods for his birthday . I was going to pay for it in full but the guy said I could do it in payments. I didn't receive a contract of what the total cost would be in total. After several months I have found out that tje website states the tranaction as a lease , but it was a purchase with phone insurance for a $1,200.00.
For financing I'm being billed a total of over $900.00 for a 11-month finance. This is a complete ripoff...You are ending up paying for 2-phones in 1-purchase.. Oh , my mistake a lease with a buy out option that is ridiculous. Someone needs to take legal action against this business!
Desired outcome: My current buy out cost is ridiculous..
I have paid ove $965.00 in payments. Yet , my buy out cost is over $790.00 with 6-payments remaining..
This is a complete abuse of the financial system these people are billing you a 90% Interest on your purchases ? This should be illegal!
Iphone leasing from smart pay
Simple mobile had ad for iphone mini 12 for $349.00 change like $14.99 a month.
When you proceed smart pay ups the price to $600.00 with 40.64 payments monthly its like misrepresentation like fraud to trick consumers into these tricky deals.
When you report it up them they refuse to take do anything like dimple Mobile is putting fault upon them.
Yet simple mobile and smart pay wont do anything to fix the fraud deception .

iphone 11
Financed a phone thru billfloat smartpay's program at metro pcs. I went in the store to do the transaction. The set me up for 6 payments, with the first being that day, january 3, 2013. The other 5 payments would be due the 1 of the month afterwards. Today, january 5, 2013, I discovered they went into my account and charged me 2 more initial payments. You cant get ahold of them on the phone, I wonder why? And emails, that aint happening and I read at other boards if they do respond, you still get the run around. They are a scam and makes me wonder why metro pcs does business with them..

Desired outcome: Mark bill paid as full
My name is Brandon and I purchased a iphone 11 from a forest park tmobile/metro location in Forest park, IL 9/15/2022. Paid $130 cash and $50 card upfront. Total purchase price was $430 and I have already paid that but they have me scheduled for 5 more $50 payments. I never signed on for this, they also put someone elses phone as the primary number on my account so I was unable to log into smartpay until Jan 19, 2023. Neither the metro location or smartpay will fix this issue and yes they are taking advantage of everyone I now see! I am contacting a law firm as I signed no contract and was decieved by an agent who provided no info on terms, or paperwork, they also listed a false phone number for my account, this is highly illegal.
I paid and never received my phone or phone plan
I will be taking legal action !I paid for a phone and a phone service I never received it it’s been over a month now every time I call customer service I get no answer I never received a reference number I was told I would receive my phone in 2 to 3 business days never received that I’ve been trying to get my money back haven’t gotten it back yet now I’m in the process of talking with my bank trying to stop payment I received my money back, TERRIBLE THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED
Desired outcome: I want my money back plus interest and I want them to stop Frauding people!!!
Samsung Note 10+
My daughter bought me a phone for my birthdate through Best Buy and paid cash and we have sent in the receipt and they keep putting a restriction on my phone so that I can't make any calls. We have contacted them many times and they can not find any account information associated with my phone but still they keep putting a restriction on it and Straight Talks deactivates my phone. I'm to the point where I want to contact my attorney and file a lawsuit.
Desired outcome: Stop placing restrictions on phone, I do not have an account with you. It has been turned off again today.
Straight talk phone
So I called was approved forma 12 month rental for a phone I chose iPhone 12 since Walmart has them on sale right now any way it’s 27 dollars for 24 months but since I was only approved for 12 months so that would be 26 plus 26 I thought so 52 plus tax but no they told me it would be 96 dollars a month like wait what then couldn’t tell me why so I declined I think it’s a scam
iPhone 13
I went thru straight talk and smart pay to lease my phone on straight talk it clearly states that once you get the phone you will be paying a certain amount on it ok so smart lease sent the phone and once it was time to pay on my phone and pay the bill it’s two separate bills instead of paying like thirty dollars on the phone which is what it states on straight talk website smart lease wants you to pay over a hundred dollars on a phone and then pay a separate amount for the plan

This is Victor Mendoza at 3164 w. Lemay avenue, West Valley City, Utah, [protected]. My identity was used to lease a product from your company. My wallet was lost around February and somebody instantly started using my Discover card, I tried to cancel all my accounts. In my wallet was all my information, I don't think they had my phone number but they got my ss#. I file a police report. If you need the number let me know so I can get it from the police station. Call SmartPay leasing, when I got a letter from Halsted Financial Service, that had me delinquent on a $1,529.86 for a phone that they leased from your company. Please let me know how we can solve this problem.
Thank you.

Repeatedly automatically canceled my orders
I ordered a Samsung Ultra 22 5G and was approved for 1300. When I finished the application, the website stated that my order was accepted and ready. About 7 hours later I recipes an email stating that my ordered was canceled. I called SmartPay and explained it and all they told me was that "it happens sometimes." So I went to do the application again as the representative told me to do. I was only approved for 800 this time. I chose the Samsung 22 5G this time and the same thing happened. Then I received another email stating I was only approved for 500. I'm not sure what's going on but I've used this before with no issues. I am not very happy at the moment to say the least.
Desired outcome: I want a legitimate reason why this happens and I would like to get the product I asked for.
Defective Phone
Spent $1300 on the Samsung S21 Ultra 5G at the end of March, Got the phone and continuously noticed calls being dropped, cutting out and the screen locking up. Repeatedly called Straight talk to diagnose the issue. After repeated attempts and them trying to fix it over the phone I called Samsung. They asked me if Straight talk sent me a new sims card. The sims card was defective I said No. I called straight talk back to have them sent out a new sims card only to be told it was my issue. Frustrated and mad at this point I called SmartPay I talked to a lady and told her what was going on with the phone. After explaining myself she gave me options one of which to send the phone back terminate my lease or that SmartPay would send me a new phone with a new Sims card. I chose them to send me a new phone and a new Sims card that was on the 25th of July. I waited a week and called on the second of August to find out if the phone hadn't shipped out yet. They said when they get a tracking number, I will get an e-mail notify me that it was shipped. On August 3rd I got an e-mail saying that the phone was shipped with the tracking number provided I tracked the phone. The phone was tracked and dropped off at a mini-Mart 6 miles away from my house on the 1st. Why it was dropped off at a mini–Mart and not at my house I did not know I got in my car to pick up the phone that afternoon and brought the phone home and open up the package. After opening the package, the phone was the wrong phone, it was used and had no sims card.it was not the phone that I purchased from SmartPay back in March. I called smart payback told them the issue to be put through numerous customer service people to get nowhere. After numerous attempts and told them what had happened, I told them I wanted to speak to a supervisor. Jenner was his name I spoke to him for a couple hours that day guaranteeing me that everything would be fine and that they would ship out a brand-new phone the Samsung S21 ultra 5G the phone that I had originally purchased with a brand-new Sims card in a brand-new package. He also stated that I could put the wrong phone back in the package and use the shipping label provided to send the phone back to them and they would send me out the right phone that day. SmartPay received the wrong, returned phone on the 9th of August, and I had called afterwards to confirm that. After speaking with another representative and escalated to a supervisor, he also guaranteed that this case would be escalated and that the phone would be shipped out. Now two weeks have gone by between, two supervisors telling me that the case has been escalated but not giving me any indication that a new phone has been shipped out. Since then, I had called 2 TIME TO BE TOLD NOTHING and have gotten no answers.
Desired outcome: I want a brand new S21 ultra 5G with a brand-new sims card shipped out immediately. I have not had a phone in 2 months and paying on a brand new $1300 phone I cannot use. If not, I want to terminate my lease and send the phone back.
They sent me a broken iphone 12 mini and for 2mths they will not change it now smart pay cut my new phone service with straight talk
smartpay
So put simply, I got approved for $1300 with smartpay to get a new phone...BUT...SPENT AN HOUR OR MORE OF MY LIFE TRYING TO REAPPLY OVER AND OVER AGAIN because the application was declined even if I was approved, just because I didn't know what [censored]ing address I lived at like 7 or more years ago or what goddamn street was near one of the addresses I lived. What kind of [censored] security questions are these? Yeah...from now on surely I'll waste precious energy to memorize the streets surrounding my current addresses and also memorize the addresses and make sure I never forget those streets because it might be the difference between approval and denial. OH...and I forgot to mention that I got to wait another 7 days before I can apply again which means I get the joy of facing those asinine questions yet again with no resolve as to how to find out the answers. Maybe if I just try three answers for the three questions and I pick the questions like a person picks a combination lock I can eventually get into this and prove I am who I am.
Desired outcome: I'd like this to be resolved. I have no way to finding out what those addresses were or what damn streets were nearby those.
The same damn thing just happened to me, was approved, was checking out and then all of a sudden they want to verify my identity which is fine I get it but they asked about a damn address I lived at for just a couple months over 20 years ago so of course I got that one wrong and now order declined, I'm so pissed, this is stupid, asking bout a 20 year old address, like what the ever living hell
iPhone 13
iPhone 13 Is junk that you guys sent me doesn’t even connect to 5G This is just to make it longer and this is just to make it a little longer and this is just to make this complete a little longer than that I don’t know why they’re making me do that but it took place not long enough so my complaint is that the phone you sent me is junk I want a new one or I want a refund
Desired outcome: New phone or you can take this one and shove it
Smart pay approved and cannot lease phone
I applied for Smartpay online and was approved for $450. On July 9th, I received an emailing letting me know that my approval will expire on 7/31/22, so I should hurry and shop for the phone and accessories I wish to lease. I immediately get online and attempt to check out the phone I want but was ultimately rerouted to a page that said my info cant be verified.
Desired outcome: I want to use my approval to lease the iPhone 11.
Complaint
So far, they're not good to work with. I bought a phone for my daughter for her birthday and with so many other bills at the moment thought this would be great since it says you can pay it off within 3 months. No problem. When I went to make a payment online it wanted me to make the full payment, there was no option for a different payment. I email them, they say please contact customer service, they were sorry for the inconvenience. I'm thinking, okay, so I have to pay each month and call in, no biggie. I wait for 10 mins, finally a girl comes on, unfortunately I cant understand her so I don't know what her name is. What I could understand is that you cant make a payment each month on top of your payment coming out. That makes no sense to me so after trying to understand why I couldn't make additional payments again I couldn't understand her so I just hung up. Why wouldn't you be able to make additional payments to pay the phone off early? I will have to just pay for it out right! I do not want to deal with this company for the next 2 years. So irritated!
Desired outcome: I just want to make payments each month in addition to what is already coming out.
SmartPay Leasing
At least the phone 2 years ago it took me forever for it to go through because they kept saying my debit credit card was a prepaid card talked to real person got it straightened out paid for the phone now I'm trying to get a new phone again and I was approved for $1,400 and they're saying my card that they've been taking money out of for two years is a prepaid card you can't win with these people and they need people from the United States of America to do this because you can't understand the people they put online at all and they out and out call you a liar they're very rude
Desired outcome: For them to get their self together and be more professional
