Southern California Edison [SCE] Care program / credit

Hello,

Last year I was removed from the care program even though i'm still a care recipient. After numerous calls to Edison I reached out in an email to a friend's contact at Edison. He advised that"my care rate was stuck in pause in there system which prevented the discount on my care rate on monthly bill. A billing correction has been issued and should be completed within one to two billing cycles." This email was from Sept. 30-2022.

Since Nov, I have called at least 5 times waiting for over 60 mins to talk to someone and nothing is resolved. Last gentleman I spoke to on 4/13/2023 said he sees all the notes and that the ticket was closed with no credit and no explanation. We spoke, he reviewed more and got on the phone with the care department. They advised him that they did review and approve the credit and sent it to accounting. He then said he has sent a email/call to the person who was handling my case in accounting to ask why was it closed. Where's the credit. He called me back the next day and said he was still waiting for a response. Today is 4/18.2023 I haven't heard back from anyone and I was just on hold waiting for customer care and after 28mins I sent to survey and then hung up on.

I am receiving letters from you stating you 're going to shut down my services because I owe a large bill. My bill is large as the increase in rates last year and no care credit I was struggling. I was waiting for the credit that I was promised to help pay it down.

Will someone at Edison finally do the task of resolving this issue and credit my account. This has caused so much more stress then I already have. Plus the time to call you for follow up and wait on hold for 50 to 65mins and then explain my situation over and over and be advised that it takes time. I was removed or put in pause/stuck since Jan 2022.

I'll be looking out for your response.

Southern California Edison [SCE] SCE Care Program

Hello, I was approved for the CARE program when I first started my service in December 2022 as I receive SSI. I was emailed by SCE to do a high use verification and to provide proof of INCOME as they considered my use to be too high, I was given a deadline of 4/7/23 and I submitted a notice of non tax filing from the IRS along with my SSI as I have no other income along with affadavits and college grant information and other supporting documents for my two young adult sons who are both full time community college students. I also included my SSI award letter, my ebt information etc. Everything was submitted on 3/28/23 online and I received a "receipt" from them documenting what I submitted. On 4/8/23 I received an email from SCE stating that since they had not heard from me they were removing me from the CARE program starting with this coming bill. I immediately on 4/8/23 sent them an email providing them with the receipt that I received from them but they did not respond back. On 4/10/23 I called them and was told that yes they did receive my documents but they are backlogged and even the initial documents from January have not yet been reviewed, however I was told they would not put me back on the CARE program until after they could verify my documents but could not tell me when that would be and was told they still haven't even reviewed the ones from January. They told me they were sorry but there was nothing they can do. Why am I being penalized when I rproved them everything that was requested BEFORE the deadline that THEY provided? I asked if it would be retroactive for when it is reinstated and I was told no, it would just be applied to future bills and I would not get the CARE discount until they got around to reinstating it. Unbelievable especially with hot temperatures starting.

Desired outcome: Reinstatement of the CARE program immediately as I am not the one that is holding up the verification. I met all deadlines.

Southern California Edison [SCE] billing

We had a solar system installed on our home in the fall of 2014. We have a Net Surplus Agreement with SCE, indicating compensation for surplus energy generated from that system. My SCE bills reflect a credit (due to our solar installation) of $978.12 from September 2021 through January 2023. I've written four (4) letters to them, requesting payment of the accumulated credits and have yet to receive even the courtesy of a response to the letters. What can I do? I did receive a check in February for the credit earned in January but no explanation of any sort.

Southern California Edison [SCE] Cant get of care program

I was care program for years. In 2022 around August or September. I was dropped because I didn't get the paperwork in on time so they sent me the forms to reapply. ( update on income) Now during this time in August my meter was broken for 2 months and Edison didn't see that when they read the meter? called and got a new meter, now they back dated my bill which brought it up to over 300.00 ! I am on a payment plan. I called them on 10-11-22 faxed over income verification. Spoke with representative she said she was going to escalate the process once she received the form . Called in Nov because still not on it, they said they never got it so I faxed the paperwork again on 11/23/22.Called on 12/23/22, they got my income info. wait again 30-45 days. 2/9/23 spoke with Edison said were behind 3 months and to wait another 30-45 days because they were processing it. He stated he didn't even see if I was approved yet still processing. Ask to speak with someone in care program and your not allowed. Filed with Edison consumer affairs and rep called me took over the case. Spoke with her once in Feb 17 , 2023, told me to call her if I don't hear from her. She looked over and said high usage in July and august, my meter was broke, they back billed me and you can't use your air conditioner. I have left 4 messages and no response and still not care program. I am on a fixed income don't know what to do . I have been off the care program for over 7 months and they are still processing.

Desired outcome: need to be back on the care program and if someone could call me.

My renewal was due on May2023. I provided my documentation to Edison on April 2023, they marked my file saying they received it in May2023 and still removed me off Care-Program..They show me approved but still biling me domestic with no discount..Every time I call they say it's still processing. Why did they remove me in the first place when they had the paperwork ontime. Why has this not been corrected going on 3 months now, and they don't even take calls now.

Southern California Edison [SCE] Overcharges not Credited to Account

I had 3 months of overcharges to my residential account. I paid nearly double what I would normally pay for July-Sept 2022. My meter was not working and the technician I spoke with said they guesstimate the bill when they cant read it. After the tech finally showed up on a day that someone was home (because Edison doesn't make appts for their customers) I called and spoke to a customer service rep that said my account would be reviewed and credits applied. I placed another call In December and was told it still hasn't been reviewed. Now, today March 6, 2023, 5 months later the customer service rep said it still hasn't been reviewed. I had a credit of $20 on my current bill that he could not explain what it was for but said it wasn't for the bills from 2022. He then said my account was escalated in December which apparently doesn't mean anything because he also said the account is reviewed in the order received. I need my account reviewed and credited asap.

Desired outcome: account reviewed and credited accordingly/refund

Southern California Edison [SCE] CARE Program Decision

I have had the CARE discount for years (Service Account [protected]). Then they wanted to reverify. I sent them all documents (reflecting the same status and applicable conditions as before) about five times in hard copy and online.

They still have not made a decision. When I inquire on the phone after long waits, there is still no competent response or reason for the delay -- In fact, I could not speak with anyone at the CARE Department. This has been going on for five months and the discount has been dropped during this period.

I call on the SCE executives to look into this high level of incompetency and take immediate steps to resolve these concerns.

These are programs to help and not to harm -- otherwise the State of California should hold you accountable.

Desired outcome: Apply discount retroactively.

Southern California Edison [SCE] Overcharge on electric bill

My SCE CA bill for my business more than doubled over the last two months. When I called and asked about the "extra charges" the rep, (after holding for 45 mins), told me that the additional charges were because they didn't anticipate that I would be using electricity and had to purchase my electricity on the open market. What? The charges were not itemized on my bill but listed under "extra charges". I did not add anything to my business that would increase my electric use and when I reviewed past bills the amount of electricity used was in line with what I had used this December and January. I have become aware that electric and gas prices have skyrocketed here in CA and many people are complaining.

I wonder if I should join the exodus of businesses leaving the state. Any ideas?

Southern California Edison [SCE] Customer service

I tried to contact numerous times Edison Southern California by using a lot different customer service numbers and it's still the same female voice robot which asking you the same questions again and again, there is no human customer service by phone or online, the worst experience ever. There is no way to resolve the problem of my bills online, I moved and tranferred the service to a new address and the account still not activated but I received and paid my new bill online but the new account still not get the money,

Southern California Edison [SCE] Power outages

Our street lost power on January 9 & got restored partially. SE is aware & said that our home 22942 Las Mananitas Drive, Valencia has low voltage. Our solar has not been working since then. We have neighbors that has solar & theirs is working well. We have reported & was told once that someone is coming- 1/23/23 to fix - no one came. SE is aware & no one is trying to help us. We cannot charge our car & our solar has not been working - please help.

Southern California Edison [SCE] Leaving my daughter with no gas

My daughter has 5 children and 1 has asthma, one has a chest infection and 1 is 5 days old and premature and needs to be kept warm, since the beginning of December she's been having trouble with her meters, an engineer came out to repair but took out the meter which left her with no card to top up she's since been told that she is having a smart meter fitted and sent her a card which came but it was an electrical card so still she couldn't top up, now it's 10.08pm and she still is waiting for gas after being promised that an engineer will be out, now I'm not happy and worry about my grandchildren, I want this problem resolved instantly and I will be contacting the newspapers to say how disgusting it is that you could leave her without warmth, my daughter lives at 42 Honister Avenue Warrington Cheshire England wa2 9ng so you can find her on your file, I'm absolutely disgusted with your company that you could leave a premature baby in the cold and I expect this to be solved

Desired outcome: Correct meter fitted with a working card to top up and also some compensation for her as she's having to eat out because she has no gas

Southern California Edison [SCE] Fake readings in an empty home!

I was displaced due to mold from my home in Riverside County. Nothing is in my home, it’s in POD storage container. I have been living in my garage with one light above me and a space heater that barely is used. Washer is plugged in, gas dryer is plugged in and refrigerator. These SOB keep sending me $200+ bill for an EMPTY HOME! Tier two my [censored]! I live here alone! Their ESTIMATED bills are [censored]! We need a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against them for fraud and gouging!

Desired outcome: I want my money back for all the times these [censored] over charged me for living in my garage with one damn light for night used only and a small space heater barely used!

Southern California Edison [SCE] Electric bills

My house meter did not work for over 4 months, Edison admitted the problem with the meter and nevertheless were billing me fake estimated bills., which were getting higher and higher every month, although i completely cut down on the electrical usage. The estimation was based, according to Edison on the summer highest bills. Edison could not read my electric meter for over 4 months and yet they kept mailing estimated bills without trying to fix the meter. I told them that my bills in winter time never exceeded more than $70 per month, they could have checked the bills from previous years, they never did nor cared. Edison however kept making their estimation on the summer highest bill for the hottest month when my air conditioner had to run non stop.

Desired outcome: fix my meter, reimburse my money, stop making false bills

hello, my name is Craig Scott the reason I am writing this is because I received a bill form the Southern California Edison, they did not send me a bill for 6month and I kept calling every month and the machine kept telling me that I had a credit and no bill and plus I got solar on my house also 18 panels of solar and know ones lives with me what I don't understand is how can you send me a bill for 1600 dollars and I have been calling and it keeps telling then that I did not owe and had credit like I told them something is wrong with this bill and that was way to much money and I don't have nothing running in my home it was hot at the time also and I only ran my temp on 78-80 degrees so I can keep the bill down like I also said that I don't have the kind of money I am on ssd so I would like if you could look into this bill for me my account number is [protected]

Southern California Edison [SCE] Bill

I am a home owner, and my tenant moved out on Jun 1st 2022, and I opened my SCE account on Jun 6th. Around mid Oct I received a closed out transfer fee to my account and it costs $8,500. So I called the customer service, and they told me this is a charge for a closed account which never get paid off from Mar 2018 to May 2022. And the reason they charge me is that I have the same address and last name as that closed account holder. So I was asking them to prove it to me like show me the bill or statement. They said that account has been closed and they can not show me the bill. And they are saying the bill never get paid off for like 4 and half years and they still prove elecricity. I asked my tenant and they said they created the SCE account but never get the bill. And how am I being fined in the end? An account holder lived there 4 years ago has nothing to do with me. If you want to charge me, at least show me the fact you have send out the bill and the statement which shows that they really own $8,500. Otherwise you can say they own a milliion dollors and not having any proof for it.

Southern California Edison [SCE] Power Turnoff

Whilst we understand that the power grid needs to be brought up to date, you have now scheduled TWO additional outages on Friday, 12/2 and Sunday 12/4 starting at time of 7:00pm. Outage numbers [protected] & [protected]

Why can't this work be done during the day, instead of three times in one month at prime time? This will be the second and third time in one month.

A huge disruption to our lives and welfare.

Southern California Edison [SCE] Power outages

Multiple power outages this year in Costa Mesa. This is absurd. The power grid within this area needs to be dealt with so this doesn’t continue to be an issue. Recent power outage on Nov 27th began at 6:13pm and continued for over four hours. Now, I have to toss out all of the food in my refrigerator. There should be a rebate/compensation for residents in this area.

Southern California Edison [SCE] We have solar panels and we are not having to pay a power bill and a solar panel payment

We got solar panels trying to help the energy grid. This all started in June! This whole process has been a nightmare having to wait forever for permits from you guys and now waiting on paperwork to be sent to an email for a Monthly payment and not a yearly payment to SCE. I literally will never ever do this again. This is awful! This has been a burden on my family financially! What is going on that you can’t send simple paperwork? NEM Agreement and the PHAN load justification form are the forms we need sent to us! Still nothing from you guys and now that we are paying two bills I am just not impressed in any way!

Desired outcome: I want the paperwork sent to us asap we are now paying two bills!!!!!!!!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡

I was given permission to operate my solar panels on August 13, 2020, and Edison still has not switched my home to solar billing. Instead, I have had to call practically every other month. Every time I do call, I get another case number and they tell me my case is extraordinary and it is being escalated. This has been a nightmare!

Southern California Edison [SCE] Power Outage

Why is power being turned off when there is little to no wind especially on Thanksgiving day? Edison is criminal in their behavior with our money and their usage of this utility. I have lived in California for nearly 5 decades and have never had power outages until now. Why? Because Edison is neglecting their responsibility in their job and yet they are allowed to continue to raise their rates on customers with zero oversight by our worthless government in Sacramento. There is zero need for power to be turned off.

Desired outcome: QUIT TURNING OFF POWER!!
