Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: A Terrible Experience with a Broker

My wife and I had a terrible experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage. We made the mistake of signing a binding estimate without doing our research on the company. We later found out that Southern Guarantee is only a broker and does not actually do any moving themselves. We were shocked to find out that they had a terrible reputation with the Better Business Bureau and numerous customer complaints on various websites.

We quickly realized that there were several red flags associated with Southern Guarantee. They did not provide us with a list of the carriers they contract with, which made it difficult for us to check if they were registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and had a U.S. Department of Transportation number. When we called to ask who they had tentatively contracted our move with, they refused to tell us. This made us very uneasy about the whole process.

The second red flag was when their contracted carrier contacted us and stated that he would be showing up in three days (on the wrong date) to start loading and packing. He would not tell us the name of his company and stated that they would have our 4-bedroom home packed and loaded in a single day. This seemed very unrealistic and made us even more nervous about the move.

The third red flag was when we offered to pay the carrier to visit our home in advance of the move to confirm our weight and cubic feet requirements. He said it was a waste of time, which seemed very strange to us. Later, we found out that this same carrier had a reputation for scamming people out of their belongings and threatening to unload or keep their belongings unless he received more money. He had been doing this for 18 years and had a bad reputation with at least six different moving companies in at least three different states since 2004 in New York.

In conclusion, we would not recommend Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage to anyone. They have a terrible reputation and their contracted carriers seem very sketchy. We learned our lesson and will always do our research before signing any contracts in the future.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Nightmare Move with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: A Warning to Others

I recently used Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage for my move and I have to say, it was a bit of a nightmare. At first, everything seemed fine when I made my reservation and was contacted a few days prior to my move to confirm the amount of items I would be moving. I provided a detailed list of my items, including dimensions for each box. However, things started to go downhill when I realized that Southern Guarantee is actually a broker and that a different company, Moving Mania, would be doing my move.

When Moving Mania arrived for the move, they eyeballed my stuff and told me that it was 345 cu ft, even though I had provided a detailed list and had neatly stacked my items in an area that could easily fit into the 286 cu ft I had reserved. They even charged me for cu ft that I was not moving, and when I refused to pay the extra $250 they demanded, they threatened to unload my goods and I would lose my $500 security deposit. It was a terrible customer service experience and both Moving Mania and Southern Comfort pointed fingers at each other, claiming no responsibility.

To make matters worse, upon arrival, I was given a window of 1pm - 5pm, but the driver called me at 11am to tell me he was 30 minutes out. When I informed him that I wasn't available until 1pm due to a scheduled house showing, he seemed put off but agreed. When they arrived, the first load I saw them unload was a stack of 5 boxes that included a box marked "FRAGILE" and they let it drop to the ground, destroying most of the boxes and shattering glasses. Additionally, I received a box that didn't belong to me and they are not answering their customer service phone, leaving me unsure of how to return it to its rightful owner.

Overall, my experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage was terrible. I would recommend renting a U Haul and hiring movers for the day instead, as it is cheaper and provides far better service.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: A Scamming Experience

I want to share my experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage. I was looking for a moving company and found Southern Guarantee's website. Their prices were much lower than other companies, so I decided to give them a call. During my first call, I gave them all the information about what I needed to move. However, on the second call, a different person told me that I didn't give them enough information and that the price would be higher. I was confused because I had given them the same information before.

When the truck arrived, the foreman asked me to show him what I had. I was surprised because he should have had all the information already. He told me that there wasn't enough space in the truck and that he didn't have the specific boxes and materials I had requested. He said he could go back to the warehouse to get them, but I wondered why they weren't already on the truck. I felt like they were trying to make me panic and wonder what I was going to do.

I called Southern Guarantee to ask why they weren't prepared, and suddenly the foreman had enough space in the truck. However, the price had doubled from the second estimate, which was already higher than the initial price. They said it was because I had too many stairs and needed a long carry, even though they had told me on both initial calls that there was no charge for stairs for the first and second floor.

I felt like I was being scammed by Southern Guarantee. They were trying to make me desperate and willing to pay anything to get my things moved. I decided to find another mover, but Southern Guarantee claimed that I had refused service and kept the deposit I had already paid.

I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. I would not recommend Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage. They are not trustworthy and will try to scam you out of more money. Please be careful and do your research before choosing a moving company.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Warning: Terrible Experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage - Scam Alert!

I recently had an experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage and let me tell you, it was not a good one. I wish I could give them negative 5 stars if I could. From being lied to, ignored, and not receiving copies of the documents and contracts I signed, it has been a complete nightmare. When I called to request copies of the documents, I was greeted by Jack West in the Philippines who told me that they could not give me any of those documents as per company policy. I was shocked and frustrated as I signed legal and binding documents, and their policy is that they will not provide them to me. I requested to speak with Sam in QA, but was told he wasn't authorized to put me through.

My first contact was with Nick, who was great in his customer service. He gave us his Managers $700 discount (yeah right) as well as a Military Discount. He gave his personal cell to us and responded to it when we made an inquiry. We gave Nick an estimated inventory and had to put down a down payment deposit of $895.00. Signed and done. Next, we were serviced by Tyler. He is the "final inventory" guy but didn't disclose that once he submitted his paperwork no changes could be made so our inventory had items on it that we were not taking and it should reduce the cost. Based on the items removed and boxes added our fees increased (of course they did!) This increase required an addition $314 deposit. Signed and done.

We were locked in at the current inventory and price $2409 which was explained to me by Sam in QA. She further explained that she would receive an actual bill of lading by which we would compare and if an adjustment was necessary it would happen at that time. We had issues with the scheduled pickup truck. It broke down so a confirmed pickup is now delayed. I did have assistance from Brittany and Stacy in QA / dispatch trying to find another truck for me. Brittany said a truck had been arranged for the original date. Called trucking company and they told me that their schedule was not updated to reflect that change. She stayed on the phone with me while I called Southern Guarantee and conference call. What a nightmare trying to get through. Finally, Stacy confirmed with me that there was a miscommunication (fancy word for a lie) and that the truck would not be there on the originally scheduled day but rather the next day.

When the truck arrived, my son was told he needed to make a payment at pickup of $1800 and at delivery another $1300. In order to take his child's changing table and a large plastic bin they charged us an additional $340. WHAAAAAAAT? I have a contract... Oh wait no I don't because I cannot get a copy of it. Paid another $667. It has only been 1 week today. Truck is on its way but no delivery date. The kids had to leave half of their stuff that was on the final inventory. It's flat out a scam. I don't know how people can look at themselves in the mirror. Come in to my parlor said the spider to the fly! Believed the nice guy trying to help me on the phone. And let's not forget the hours spent on the phone trying to get information. I will be working very hard to warn people about this company!

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: A Scam Company with Illegal Procedures and Hidden Fees

I recently had a terrible experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others. I was initially drawn in by their positive reviews, but now I believe they are a scam and I urge you not to believe them.

My first issue was with the broker, Southern Guarantee, who deliberately low-balled my estimate only for the mover to give a severe upcharge at pickup. They gave me a binding estimate of $2068, but as of the delivery today, I have paid $2796 - an extra $728 above the original binding estimate. Despite having fewer items than originally estimated, I was charged an extra $528 for taking up too much cubic feet. Additionally, I was charged an extra $200 for stairs at delivery, despite Southern Guarantee charging me $75 on the quote and saying that would cover the stairs at delivery. In total, I have paid an extra $728 from the original binding estimate, despite being severely under inventory.

The second issue was illegal procedures at pickup. I requested a new written estimate prior to loading, but the movers refused to provide one. They also encouraged me to bribe them with a $150 tip each, saying "if you do me and my boy right with a $150 tip each, we'll pretend like everything is fine." After loading everything, the two movers told me I was within my allowed cubic feet. However, when they called their boss Eli, Eli said I was suddenly not within my allowed cubic feet, and I was charged an extra $528. I was not given this new charge prior to loading the truck, and I was required to pay the new amount since my things were already loaded.

The third issue was failure to provide services that were included in my quote from Southern Guarantee. My contract included "reassembly for all items disassembled by the movers on the day of pick-up." This included a metal bed frame and keyboard stand. At delivery, the movers said "we don't do any assembly" and simply left, despite my payment including this service.

My final issue was missing inventory and receiving items that are not mine. I am missing a black chair/stool, and I have two pieces of a metal bed frame(?) that are not mine. I have filed a claim, but from the reviews I have read online, I do not anticipate receiving much.

When I brought up these issues to Sam, a supervisor at Southern Guarantee, she repeatedly said "it was only an estimate," and redirected me to Eli at Handle with Care. When these issues were brought up to Eli at Handle with Care, he was extremely confrontational and aggressive. He blamed me for all issues, saying I did not tip properly and thus any problems were my fault. These bait and switch and tactics and illegal procedures from both companies should be criminally charged to protect future consumers. Please avoid Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage at all costs.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: A Cautionary Tale

I recently had a moving experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage, and unfortunately, it was not a positive one. I found them through Google reviews, but now I realize that those reviews may not be trustworthy. I was given an estimated binding price of 2300 USD with a non-refundable deposit of 859 USD by Greg Baker, who I believed was with the moving company. However, on the day of the move, I found out that the actual moving company was Right-A-Way Movers from Atlanta.

The driver from Right-A-Way Movers informed me that my belongings would take up more space than I had paid for, and that they only cared about the cubic feet, not the inventory list. I was also told that I had to pay an extra 1000 USD in cash, which was a surprise to me. Despite these issues, the movers did a good job packing and wrapping my belongings.

After the move, I tried to contact Greg Baker several times, but he never responded. I also found out that the delivery date was not guaranteed, and that the moving company had up to 35 business days to deliver my belongings. When I called Right-A-Way Movers on the delivery date, I was told that they had the right to deliver within that timeframe. I was frustrated and tried to get updates from the moving company, but they gave me various excuses and even hung up on me.

I eventually contacted the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Agency and filed a claim for hostage. I also hired a lawyer to contact the moving company directly. After 50 days of waiting, my belongings were finally delivered, and luckily, only a few items were damaged. However, I had to inspect the truck myself to find my belongings, as they were not properly labeled.

Overall, my experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage was not a positive one. I would caution others to be wary of Google reviews and to do their own research before choosing a moving company. If you do encounter issues, I recommend contacting the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Agency and filing a complaint through the Better Business Bureau.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: A Total Scam

I just wanted to share my experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage. I have to say, it was not a good one. I wish I had read reviews like this before I decided to use their services. I hope that by sharing my story, I can help others avoid the same mistakes I made.

First of all, let me start by saying that Southern Guarantee Moving is a broker. They don't actually move your stuff themselves. They just find a moving company that will do it for them. And they don't necessarily find you the best moving company, just the one that will make them the most money. In my case, the company they found for me was terrible. They were days late on arrival and drop off, and they damaged a lot of my belongings.

But the worst part was that Southern Guarantee Moving had no involvement in the claims process. They just washed their hands of the whole thing and told me to deal with the moving company's insurance. And even though the sales guy at Southern Guarantee Moving promised me $50k in case anything bad happened, that turned out to be a lie. I was only offered $170 after waiting for 6 months.

To make matters worse, Southern Guarantee Moving was terrible at keeping me updated. They promised to call me with updates throughout the move, but I had to call them to get any information at all. And their call center was just one guy in India who I could barely understand.

I wish I had never used Southern Guarantee Moving. They are a total scam. They don't do anything to help you with your move, and they just take your money and run. And the worst part is that they make it almost impossible to get a refund. You have to pay via your bank account, so you can't dispute the charge like you could with a credit card.

Please, if you're thinking about using Southern Guarantee Moving, don't. It's not worth the risk. There are plenty of other moving companies out there that will actually help you with your move and won't scam you out of your money.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: A Scam Operation

My husband and I recently had a terrible experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage. We were moving our deceased mother's furniture from LA to our brother's house in AL, and my sister had arranged for Southern Guarantee to handle the move. Unfortunately, she didn't read any reviews beforehand, and we ended up regretting that decision.

Southern Guarantee was only the broker for the move, and they outsourced it to Empire Moving and Storage. These two companies worked together to rip us off. Southern Guarantee agents were friendly on the phone when calculating the estimate and making a detailed list of the furniture to be moved. However, as soon as they received our deposit of half the cost of the move, they disappeared. It was a red flag when the contract stated that they were not responsible for the movers running up the cost of the move when they arrived, and that we should call the Southern Guarantee office before making any changes to the contract. Unfortunately, we didn't know that the driver would arrive after 5 p.m. and that Southern Guarantee would be unreachable. The driver was hours late, starting at 8:00 p.m. and finishing around 11:30 p.m.

The driver came in with a bullying tone from the start, doubled the price to move 1/2 of our stuff, and even added a "TURNAROUND" fee of $1900 if we wanted the stuff to go to my brother's house the next day instead of "storage." When we asked where the storage was, he refused to tell us. His truck said New York, which was alarming. When we said the furniture was all listed on the estimate, he told us the broker always lowballs the estimate to get the sale. My husband told the driver to call his boss and tell him we were not going to pay a "turnaround fee" and that Southern Guarantee's contract was misleading. The Empire driver's boss agreed to call Southern Guarantee in the morning to settle it. We ended the night refusing to pay the turnaround fee, giving him a check for the extra cost, with him saying our stuff would go to storage until the check cleared. He drove off with our furniture, and we had the sinking feeling that he was going to sell it on the side of the road where we'd never see it again.

The next morning, the Empire boss said he could not reach Southern Guarantee. We ended up getting a box truck to load the rest of the stuff ourselves and drove it ourselves to AL with a promise from Empire Moving and Storage to be in AL the following day. We were told to be there at 7 a.m., but the driver rolled in TWO HOURS late, with no apologies, at 9 a.m.! We had our box truck unloaded before he got there by the guys he had asked to be there at 7 a.m. When they heard what we'd already been through, they said they didn't deal with DISHONEST people and this would be their first and last job with these clowns. We asked them to verify that the truck was made to look full but empty in the front. As they finished unloading the driver's truck, they told my husband THE DRIVER HAD DECEIVED US by loading the truck in a way that appeared full, after asking for additional money to fill the truck. At the same time, the driver was shoving the paperwork in my face to sign. He did not list the turnaround fee that he was paid cash for but he collected it.

My husband and I consider this whole experience to be criminal. We were shaken down by Empire Moving and Storage, and Southern Guarantee sent them to my mother's house, making it all possible. We really believe that it wouldn't be possible without Southern Guarantee and Empire Moving & Storage working together. There are no innocent parties. My mother died 4 months ago, and the boxes in that moving truck contained precious memories of her and my father. They had us over a barrel, and they knew it. As far as we are concerned, Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage runs a scam operation.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving: My Terrible Experience

If you're thinking about hiring Southern Guarantee Moving, you should read this review before making any decisions. I had a terrible experience with this company, and I don't want anyone else to go through what I did.

I was moving across the country alone for the first time, and I wanted to make sure I hired a reliable moving company. I spent a lot of time researching different companies and reading reviews. When I spoke to James Helke from Southern Guarantee Moving, he seemed honest and gave me a reasonable price. He assured me that he would be there for me every step of the way. However, once I booked the move, James disappeared, and I couldn't get in touch with him.

When it came time for my move, I had a terrible experience with customer service. They couldn't tell me when my stuff would be dropped off, and they didn't share my most updated information with the movers. The price doubled from what I was quoted, and the movers charged me a "long carry" fee. They also lost my mattress and several of my items arrived broken.

I called Southern Guarantee Moving and Right A-Way Movers multiple times to get updates on my stuff, but I received few updates. When my stuff finally arrived, the driver had a bad attitude and refused to take one of my couches upstairs. They also demanded that I pay a "long carry" fee before releasing my stuff.

Overall, I had a terrible experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Right A-Way Movers. I don't recommend using either of these companies. If you're moving, consider selling your biggest items and packing up a U-haul with the smaller boxes. Or hire someone to drive your U-haul. Or pay more for a company with only good reviews. Trust me, it will save you a lot of headaches and time.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Excellent Moving Services by Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: Professionalism & Efficiency at its Best

I recently utilized the moving services of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage and I have to say, overall I had an excellent experience. Though, if I were to nitpick, my only issue was that the movers arrived a bit later than expected. Given my tight schedule, it did cause me some concern and I almost missed my flight. However, I understand that sometimes things happen that are out of our control and in the grand scheme of things, it was a minor issue.

On the positive side, the team that arrived at my house were superb. They were incredibly professional and took all of the necessary protective measures to ensure our safety. I was pleased to see that every mover had on Covid masks and took great care to maintain social distancing guidelines while packing and loading up our 3 bedroom house. They were efficient, yet meticulous, with packing and worked non-stop to ensure everything was done in a short period of time. Even when it came time to take a break and order lunch, they were so focused on the job at hand that I practically had to plead with them to take a break.

Overall, I had a very smooth and effortless transition, considering the distance of our move. I was very happy with the professionalism of the team and their willingness to go above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. If I find myself in need of moving services again in the future, there is no doubt in my mind that I would use Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage again.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Unaffordable and Unsettling: A Review of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage

I recently had the unfortunate experience of utilizing Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage (southernguaranteemoving.com) for my move from Missouri to Arkansas. The company provided me with a quote of $2200 and I put down a deposit of $1100. However, just a few days before the move, I received a call from Mathew Higgans in their quality control department to review my inventory. I indicated that it was a 10x12 storage locker, which I had already informed Chris, the mover, during our initial conversation. To my surprise, Mr. Higgans informed me that my move would now cost $7000. As a retired widow, this increase in cost was simply unaffordable for me. I requested a refund of my deposit, but was informed that it was non-refundable, which left me extremely frustrated and disappointed.

The fact that I had to pay such a significant deposit, with no transparency on additional fees or unforeseen cost increases, was concerning and only added to the unfortunate experience. As someone who was already dealing with the stresses of moving, this experience left me feeling taken advantage of and deeply disappointed in the service that Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage provided. In hindsight, I really wish I would have listened to my gut and hired a local company instead.

To anyone considering using Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage, I would strongly suggest doing your research and approaching the potentially significant costs with caution. My experience with them was unsettling, and I would encourage others to beware and make informed decisions before entrusting this company with your belongings.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage's Unethical Customer Acquisition Practices: A Warning Review

Potential customers should be aware of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage's unethical customer acquisition practices, as I unfortunately fell victim to their scheme. Initially, I was given a seemingly reasonable quote by a fast-talking "moving specialist" who assured me that the cost would "not change". However, before the moving date, I was informed that the cost had increased fourfold, with no changes made to the original inventory list. Despite being repeatedly told by a representative named Greg J. that communication was of "utmost importance", I was subsequently ignored and left in the dark about the sudden cost increase.

It is unsettling to imagine how many other customers may have fallen prey to this company's dishonest tactics. Although I cannot speak to the actual moving experience, I made the difficult decision to cancel my move and cut my losses instead of continuing to do business with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage. I sincerely advise others to avoid this company unless they are prepared to pay significantly more than the original quote they were given.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Warning: Do Not Trust Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage - Scammed Us Out of Deposit and Tripled the Quote!

When I contacted Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage for a quote to move my daughter out of state, I worked with Chris who provided me with a fair offer that I was satisfied with. I went ahead and paid the deposit to secure the move. However, when my daughter was contacted by Matthew Higgins to go over the move, he gave her a final quote that was more than double the initial one! This was a shock to us, and we immediately had to get in touch with Matthew to understand how this had occurred. He claimed that the inventory that was taken was not aligned with what was provided at the beginning. This left us with two options - either pay the new amount (which had a discount of just $250) or cancel the move altogether. While the new quote was just unaffordable for us, canceling was the only option, and that meant we would lose the deposit as it apparently was non-refundable. I felt like I had been scammed, losing a significant amount of money ($1k) that I could not afford, and now my daughter was left with just seven days and less money to figure out how to make the move happen. Needless to say, I would never recommend Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage to anyone, not even my worst enemy!

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage My Disappointing Experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage

My experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage (southernguaranteemoving.com) was not a pleasant one. I was given a quote for my move and was informed of a higher quote just three days before my scheduled move. Despite attempting to update the box count during the week prior, they refused to adjust the quote accordingly. This resulted in a $4700 increase in price, which I agreed to. However, on the day of my move, their subcontracted movers arrived and stated I had more items than initially agreed upon, adding $1300 more to the already increased cost. It was frustrating to have agreed to the higher price in advance, only to be charged more on the day of my move.

I requested my boxes be transported and stored upright, but unfortunately many were delivered upside down instead. I was also charged for tape and moving blankets despite being told there would be no additional cost for these supplies. To top it off, my belongings were kept in storage four states away from where I was moving to, despite being told they would be kept close by. This caused a delay of a week and a half in my delivery time.

To my dismay, I found some of my items were damaged and some boxes were squashed. This made me question the care taken in handling my possessions. Instead of a less stressful move, I found myself constantly anxious and worried about my belongings. In retrospect, I regret not simply moving everything myself in a truck.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Nightmare Experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: Unreliable and Unprofessional

Our experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage was a complete nightmare. We started off by receiving two vastly different estimates, with the second one being significantly higher than the first. However, due to the amount of belongings we had to move from Iowa to Alabama, we decided to go ahead with hiring them.

On the first day, we were shocked when we were told that our possessions would require a semi truck to move, which they did not have available at the time. As a result, the price tripled to a whopping $36,000! Moreover, they were not able to move all of our belongings for almost a full month. It was already off to a terrible start, but it only got worse.

After the second load of our property was picked up, we were told that our property would be delivered on Wednesday, March 30th, 2022. However, when the truck arrived, it was not able to drive down the road to our house! The driver refused to bring in additional trucks unless we paid an additional $8,000. This was an outrage, and we were left with no choice but to hire ADDITIONAL movers at a cost of $6,000.

To make matters worse, there were numerous items of our property that were damaged beyond repair, including some of my wife's jewelry which is still missing. We have also discovered that there are other items that we can't account for, and we can only imagine what else may have been damaged or lost.

We wholeheartedly advise against hiring Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage. They are unreliable, unscrupulous, and completely lacking in professionalism. Do not be fooled by their advertising - they will rip you off and destroy your property, leaving you with nothing but heartache and regret.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Not Recommended: My Experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage

As someone who has recently dealt with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage, I have to say that my experience was less than ideal. While we were glad to finally receive our belongings, the process was not without its hiccups. We had a money order ready for the delivery, which we were told would be $1300 over the original estimate. When the movers arrived, one guy started filling out paperwork while the other began moving our items upstairs. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse when the first guy told us that they would be charging us more because, to their company, a flight of stairs only included 7 steps. We had two flights of stairs, each with 8 steps. This led to an argument, with the first guy shouting that we were cancelling our move (even though we never said anything of the sort).

Thankfully, the second guy was much more level-headed and explained to us that the company we had hired was known for being greedy and trying to charge customers as much as possible. After some back-and-forth, we finally got in touch with the supervisor and explained to them our grievance - from the delayed delivery to the attempted extra charge. At this point, the first guy got back on the phone and informed us that there would be no extra charge and that they would indeed bring our belongings up the stairs.

While we were ultimately happy to have our stuff back, we can't say that we would recommend Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage to anyone else. The initial estimate was woefully inaccurate, and the behavior of the first mover was unprofessional and uncalled for. If you're looking for a moving company, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Warning: Stay Away from Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage - They Engage in Robbery Scams!

I recently had the misfortune of dealing with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage for my son's move. Initially, I spoke to a representative named Ben Mallard who gave me a quote that was incredibly high. When I refused, he began to contact me with lower numbers, which made me feel uneasy. Eventually, we agreed on a price of $1599 for a one-bedroom apartment, and I paid a deposit of $579. However, their refusal to accept credit cards and insistence on bank transfers only raised red flags in my mind.

As the move date approached, I texted Ben concerning my son's third-floor apartment, but he assured me that there would be no extra charge. The day before the move, I received a call from a Matthew Higgins who attempted to double the estimate. After rejecting his offer, he reluctantly agreed to stick to the original quote. I later received an email from ES Vanlines' Tamira Parsons, assuring me that the move would proceed as planned, and there would be no hidden costs.

On moving day, things took a turn for the worse. Robert, the driver, arrived three hours late alone in a budget truck. He showed us the space we were allowed in the truck, which was only two feet wide and the height of the truck. As if that was not bad enough, he demanded an additional $700 for the move, leaving us hesitant and frazzled. After some back and forth, we signed his paper and gave him $600 in cash while he waited for his helpers. To our shock, he immediately got into his truck and drove off with our money!

Another helper eventually showed up, claiming that he was contacted on Craigslist to assist with the move. We immediately called the police, but they said it was only a civil matter. I disagreed and saw it as a theft. When I contacted Tamira Parsons, she stated that as we had signed the receipt, the police could not do anything. It was clear to me that she was skilled at this robbery scam.

When I reached out to Southern Guarantee for help, Stacy, the representative, washed her hands off the matter, refused to return our deposit, and advised us to call the movers about the stolen cash. In conclusion, I would like to warn others and urge them to learn from my experience. Please avoid brokers and only deal with real movers who offer you an exact price after assessing your belongings. Most importantly, beware of companies that change names after getting into trouble, as they are just part of the same scheme. Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage is a disgraceful company, and I strongly advise you to avoid them at all costs.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Negative Review of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: Unreliable Service and Hidden Costs

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage is a moving company that has received a negative review from a customer. The client, who had initially been quoted $1799, was assured by the agent that the price would remain the same and that they would be in regular contact. However, the customer had the misfortune of dealing with a different employee the next day, who insisted on getting a final inventory of their goods. The customer added five boxes, a computer chair, and a nightstand to the list, but was given a much higher estimate and had to pay an additional $550.

Despite being promised that their belongings would be picked up on March 1st and that they would receive a call the day before, the client was disappointed to learn that their belongings would not be picked up until March 2nd. This was not only an inconvenience for them, but it also meant they had to reorganize their schedule and pay additional costs to rent a self-service moving truck. The customer was dissatisfied with the service provided by the company and warned others against using their services.

It's important to note that the customer tried to contact the company multiple times to express their concerns, but no one responded to their messages, which caused them more frustration. They also attached photographs as evidence of their interactions with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage, highlighting how the quotes provided to them differed significantly. The customer's overall experience with the company was subpar, and they would not recommend them to anyone needing a reliable moving service.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Avoid Being Scammed: My Experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage

on your new website!" This is when I realized I was scammed. I immediately tried to call Southern Guarantee's customer service line but of course they were already closed for the day. The next day I tried multiple times to reach them and finally got through to someone named Rachel. She acted like she had no idea what I was talking about but eventually told me that the "moving coordinator" assigned to my move was no longer with the company and they would try to find someone else to handle it. She promised to call me back within an hour to let me know what was going on but of course never did. Multiple follow up calls and emails went unanswered. At this point I had to accept that I had been scammed and will never see that $1844 again. It's devastating to think that there are people out there preying on vulnerable customers who are moving and trusting them with their belongings. Please do not make the same mistake I did, do your research and make sure to only hire reputable moving companies who physically come to your home to do an inventory and provide an accurate quote. Stay away from Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage at all costs! TLDR: Southern Guarantee Moving is a broker, not a moving company. They use bait and switch tactics and lie to you about their services, pricing and discounts. They require a large deposit upfront and only accept payment methods that make it impossible to dispute charges. They do not show up for scheduled moves and do not respond to follow up calls or emails. Do your research and do not fall for their scams!

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: A Terrible Experience

This review is important for anyone who wants to move their belongings safely and without any hassle. I had a terrible experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage and I want to warn others so they don't have to go through the same thing.

First of all, let me tell you that this company is a broker and they don't move your items themselves. This means that you have no control over which company will pick up your items until the day they show up. This can be a big problem because you don't know if the company that shows up will be reliable or not.

The salespeople are very good at selling you a lie. I told Kayden the contents of my 1 BR and he estimated the amount of space my stuff would take up. However, the company that actually picked up my items estimated double the cubic footage and I ended up paying 40% more than what I was quoted. This is after I re-confirmed my items the week of the move.

If they tell you a delivery date, don't believe them. They will not deliver on that day. I was told my items would be delivered on a certain day and even set up a time. However, 1 month later I finally got a call from an independent driver that picked up my things and told me he was hours away. I had to call the subcontracted company every week and they kept telling me my items had not been picked up yet. The communication from the company was horrible.

Finally, when my items arrived, they were a mess. Boxes were completely destroyed, vacuum seal bags were busted, and the corners of my metal TV console and wooden bar stools were worn. Nothing marked fragile was handled with care and they sent a random man with a truck to drop my items off. I also had to go and clean and sort through a storage unit now due to their carelessness. It was a very stressful experience.

I wish I had used a pod or even done a uhaul on my own. It would have been $2000 much better spent. Please beware and learn from my mistake. Don't book with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage if you value your time, money, and belongings.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving & Handle with Care Co. for Long Distance Moves

I recently had to move from Florida to Tennessee and decided to use Southern Guarantee Moving & Storage. At first, I was given a quote that seemed reasonable, but it turned out to be just a way for them to charge me an expensive fee before passing me off to another company. This company, Handle with Care Co., was the one that actually did the move, but they added their own quote to the list and hired individual men to pick up my belongings. These men then tried to add $850 to the quote for gratuity and added another $1,000 on top of the quote from Southern Guarantee Moving.

To make matters worse, I didn't know where my belongings were for three days until I was finally called and told they had a truck to put my things on and deliver them in 1-2 days. When the delivery finally arrived, two individual men made the long distance trip to deliver my belongings, but I was asked to pay another generous gratuity at their request because Eli at Handle with Care told them I would pay them a generous gratuity. I don't believe that Handle with Care is responsible for paying their workers, as they seem to rely on their customers to pay for their very expensive services.

Overall, I would not recommend Southern Guarantee Moving or Handle with Care Movers to anyone looking to move their belongings long distance. If you don't want to end up with a huge headache and broke, not knowing when your belongings will arrive at the destination, then I would advise against using either of these companies. It's important to do your homework before committing and not to sign a quote with either of these companies because a quote doesn't mean anything to them. The only thing guaranteed is that the quote will change.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Hidden Fees: A Review of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage is not the best option for your moving needs. They are brokers, not the actual moving company, which means that you will end up paying more money than you should. If you want to save money, it is better to contact a moving company directly. The deposit you pay goes directly to the broker, not toward your move, and there will be hidden costs that you won't be aware of until it's too late.

Even if you are diligent in providing Southern Guarantee with a true and accurate inventory, there will still be hidden fees. These companies don't communicate, so if the moving company has different policies than Southern Guarantee, you have to abide by the moving company's policy. This is where the hidden fees come in, and Southern Guarantee does not disclose this. They give vague references in the fine print, but they are not communicative about anything when you are coordinating with their representatives.

By the time you actually have an opportunity to read the estimate in its entirety, you are committed. They push you and tell you the "quote" they are giving you is only good for that moment. So you pay their deposit and think they are being upfront about everything. They are not. Southern Guarantee only cares about the deposit you make at the beginning. After that, they don't care whatsoever how complicated or expensive it gets because you either suck it up and pay or cancel the move and lose the deposit.

If you have a very limited budget, you will be handed a bunch of extra costs with no recourse. The movers themselves were fine and are only doing their job. The real crook here is the broker, in this case, Southern Guarantee. Finally, pay in cash! You will be charged a ridiculous fee to use a credit or debit card. Southern Guarantee will not tell you that. They will say you can pay with a credit card, but they won't mention the fees.

Overall, this company is shady and unethical and just trying to make a buck. It is better to find a moving company that is upfront about their fees and policies. Don't fall for Southern Guarantee's tricks and hidden fees.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Nightmare Experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: A Warning to Others

I'm writing this review to share my experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage. To be honest, it was a nightmare. I wish no one has to go through what I went through with this company.

First of all, the salesperson, Chris, who convinced me to hire their services promised that they would be available to answer any questions and assist me throughout the process. However, after I paid the deposit, they stopped answering my calls and didn't return any of them. It was a lie.

When I tried to contact customer service for help, they either didn't answer or the person on the other end didn't address my concerns with the movers. It was frustrating.

To make matters worse, they contracted out to another company without informing me. The movers who came to my house held my property until I paid over $1000 more than what was agreed upon. It was a shock and I felt cheated.

The mover who came said they worked for a company called Logistic Movers and that the money I paid as a deposit didn't count towards my price. I called Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage to ask about this, but they offered no support.

The movers charged me $375 to crate my television without telling me. When my television was returned, it was only wrapped in a blanket and completely cracked and broken. It was devastating.

To add insult to injury, my furniture was not reassembled upon return as promised in their contract, and the screws to my bed were missing. It was a mess.

I didn't receive any updates or phone calls regarding my delivery, and the dates kept changing without prior notification. At one point, I thought I had been scammed and my belongings had been stolen. It was a nightmare.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage promises a service that they don't deliver. Their customer service is non-existent, and the way they contract out to unethical businesses and leave the customer with no support is unacceptable. I hope no one has to go through the experience that I had with this company. It's just not right.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Unreliable, Misleading, and Dishonest: My Experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage

I recently used Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage for my move from Reno, Nevada to Fontana, California. From the beginning, it was difficult to get in touch with anyone and I was given an original quote that ended up being inaccurate. I later found out that Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage are actually brokers and not the actual moving company.

I was handed over to Master Moving and Storage out of Oxnard, California and things only got worse from there. The guy called me two days early to pick up my stuff, even though we weren't ready. When I told him this, he was very rude and said that if he couldn't pick up on that day, he wouldn't be coming another day. Eventually, they came on the day they were supposed to, but it was shady from the beginning. They only accepted cash or Zelle payments and no credit cards.

During the move, they told me that my cubic footage had been exceeded and I needed to pay an extra $1500. I had no choice but to pay it since I had to move my entire house to another state. When they delivered my belongings, I found that my son's brand new $400 desk had a hole in the center of it, three boxes full of dishes were dropped in front of me, and one of my lamps was broken with the sconces missing.

When I tried to file a claim for the damages, they only gave me $100 because they claimed that I didn't read the fine print and they only pay $.69 per pound for boxes damaged. This was not made clear to me beforehand and I ended up with almost $900 in damages.

Overall, I would not recommend Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage or Master Moving and Storage. They are unreliable, misleading, and dishonest. They promise the world but don't deliver. If you're looking for a moving company, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: A Scamming Experience

Warning! I want to share my experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage. My parents and I were moving to Florida and we signed a contract with them on April 25th, 2022. We were given a list of 51 items to be moved for a certain price. We were asked to wait until July 22nd to move because they already had a delivery in the area.

However, a week before our scheduled move, we received an email stating that our move was scheduled for July 22nd and that we would receive a call on July 21st. But, we did not receive a call on the morning of the pick-up. When we called customer service, they said the driver would call us shortly. We waited all day, but no call came. Finally, at 7:30 pm, we received a call from the driver. He stated that they just received the request from Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage and he would not be able to pick up the items until late afternoon on July 23rd.

Because the new homeowners were scheduled to move in on July 23rd, we had to move my parents' items to the garage and driveway. The driver finally arrived at 5 pm. At the time of signing our contract, we were not told that a third-party driver would be used.

As they started to load the items on the truck, we realized they had no moving blankets. They only came with wrap. My parents' furniture was wrapped in plastic with no blankets. In addition, they started talking about cubic feet. I told them this did not apply to us because we have a set amount. This is when we learned of the scam the company was running. The amount ended up costing $4,000 over the quote. They couldn't tell us when they would arrive. We were told in April it would be door to door (Friday-Monday). Another lie!

When I called to complain about the additional fees and delivery, I was told that this company was not Amazon. They had no projection time of delivery. I mentioned the door-to-door promise, but he told me that the employee who made that promise was let go. He said he wasn't responsible for the additional cost. I asked for the owner's name, but he said, "you don't go to Chili's and get the owner's name." I asked for his boss's name, but he hung up.

There is no way they can be rated a 2.73. I have moved multiple times in the military, and this is the worst experience I have ever had. The employee indicated that their business is "just fine," but I am not sure how. Please be careful if you decide to use Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Terrible Experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage - Do Not Use!

This company is the worst! I got a quote for a reasonable price which I should've known was too good to be true but going against my better judgment, I gave it a shot. Worse decision I could've made! Customer service was horrible, I spoke to so many different people and the guy that gave me a quote named "Jordan" never would respond back to my questions. It was like the closer it came to moving day, the less I would hear from the company! On moving day, 4 men showed up to my house very unkept and demanding, not even looking at my inventory, which I did not pay because I knew better! As soon as they entered my home, they started speaking to each other in Spanish which I couldn't understand. So, I asked the main guy what they were discussing and he literally said "Yeah, it's gonna cost you more, you have mirrors and mirrored items we didn't know about." I explained to him that I discussed all this in my initial quote and in my final inventory check. Unfortunately, each time I called or was called by the company, I spoke to different people each time so they had no record of the list we went over. The moving guy showed me the quote he was provided with by his company which was a different company than I paid my deposit to (I paid Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage). This was the last red flag for me! I called Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage to ask why the moving company's quote didn't match mine and the guy I spoke with gave me excuse after excuse which ended up me asking them to leave my property. I was able to get refunded by my bank because during the whole process I had the bank representative on the phone and she could hear all that I was experiencing. Long story short, the moving company that showed up to my house attempted to charge me double than my original quote and I wasn't going for it! I rented a moving truck, which cost me less! I highly recommend saving your time and money by not considering this company. It was a total waste of my time!

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: Fraudulent, Unprofessional, and Under Investigation

I had a terrible experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage. I can't even give them one star, they deserve negative 100. I had to file complaints with the Department of Transportation/Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the Federal Trade Commission, Florida State Attorney's Office, Texas State Attorney's Office, Maryland State Attorney's Office, and Crockett National Bank. They are being investigated for breaking around 30 federal laws, and who knows how many state and local laws.

The truck they sent to move my belongings was unmarked and had fake TX temporary tags over permanent metal plates. I don't even know where they got the fake plates from. They claimed to be an agent for Allied Moving Vans, but the truck was from a company that doesn't even operate in TX. If you look at their website's "about us" page, you won't find any mention of them being a broker. You have to look at the very bottom of the page to find that information, which is hidden among their contact information.

Luckily, I didn't let them take my belongings. I even had a friend who is a former Green Beret come over and show the driver his pistol to give him a message. It's sad that even those who serve in the military can be defrauded by these companies. Southern Guarantee Moving even withdrew money from my checking account a few hours after I fired them. They took a deposit for an item that wasn't even listed on their inventory of my house belongings.

I could go on and on about the many misrepresentations by the company, but trust me when I say that they are going down. Criminal charges will be filed, and they will be shut down. There's no way this company can survive after what they did to me. They messed with the wrong person, and I have connections.

Once again, the aforementioned are just a few examples of the many improprieties for which Southern Guarantee Moving will have to answer in court. If you're going to be a thief, at least be good at it and know what you're doing. They are so arrogant that they have no idea what's coming their way.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Unpleasant Experience: Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Review

My experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage was far from pleasant. Initially, we had agreed upon a price of $1700 for our move, with everything seemingly going smoothly. However, on the day of the pickup, we were informed that the actual cost would be $2500, a significant increase from our original agreement. It was truly disappointing, as we were under the impression that we had everything settled, and this added expense was completely unexpected.

Additionally, I felt as though we were taken advantage of with a low-ball offer designed to get us to sign on the dotted line. It's disheartening to feel like we were just another number to them, as opposed to valued customers who deserved transparency and honesty throughout the entire process.

Overall, my experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage was disappointing, and I would not recommend their services to anyone looking to move. It's imperative to do your research and find a reputable company that you can trust to handle your belongings with care and integrity.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Nightmare Experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: My Belongings Were Sold Without Permission!

My experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage was a nightmare. Despite hiring the company to transport my belongings, they instead chose to sell all of my items and are now refusing to provide any compensation for their actions. I was devastated when I learned what had happened, and knew that I had to take legal action to get the resolution I deserved. After consulting with a lawyer, I am now in the process of suing them.

I strongly advise against using this service. Their actions were completely unethical and unacceptable. It is disappointing to think that a company would take advantage of someone in such a way. It has been a difficult process trying to recover from this experience, and I would hate for anyone else to go through what I have. It is important to choose a company that can be trusted to handle your belongings with care and respect. Unfortunately, Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage is not one of those companies.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: Our Disappointing Experience as Brokers

As human beings, we understand the importance of honesty and transparency when it comes to reviewing a business. In this case, our experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage (southernguaranteemoving.com) left us feeling less than satisfied.

While the initial process of booking and scheduling our move seemed straightforward, we quickly realized that Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage was actually a broker - meaning they outsourced our move to another company.

We were extremely disappointed to find that the moving company they brokered us to had provided us with boxes that were wet, and our TV had suffered damage that rendered it unusable due to being smashed. Additionally, there were missing pieces to some of our furniture. We were also frustrated with the lack of communication throughout the entire process.

We strongly advise caution when using Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage, and suggest doing your research before booking with them. We, for one, regret not heeding these warnings before booking with this company. Moving can be an already stressful experience, and we hope that sharing our negative experience can help others make informed decisions when it comes to their own moves.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Fraudulent Practices: Our Nightmare Experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage

When it comes to hiring a moving and storage company, it's important to do your research and make an informed decision. Unfortunately, our experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage was nothing short of a nightmare. We feel it's our duty to warn others about this company, as we don't want anyone else to fall victim to their fraudulent practices.

From the beginning, we were promised top-notch service and professionalism. However, as soon as we wired our deposit money to them, the tone of our interactions completely changed. We were given little to no information about when our items would be picked up or delivered, and when we tried to get in touch with them, we were met with unprofessionalism and aggression.

We soon discovered that we were not alone in our experience. Several other customers had negative experiences with this company as well, with many reporting lost or damaged items, intense pressure to pay more money, and overall unprofessionalism.

We urge anyone considering Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage to do their due diligence and avoid doing business with them. It breaks our hearts to have lost $2800.00 to this fraudulent company, and we don't want anyone else to fall victim to their ways. Please beware of Greg Johnson and Mike Ross, as they will do anything to con you out of your hard-earned money.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Beware of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: My Experience Felt Like a Scam

If you're planning a move and considering Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage, I urge you to read this review before making a decision. Unfortunately, my experience with this company was less than satisfactory. To put it frankly, it felt like a scam. Despite receiving a quote of $2200 for my move, my final bill ended up being $3900 - almost double the estimate.

What made it particularly frustrating was that the company loaded only half of my belongings before telling me that I'd reached the maximum estimate. They claimed that my mattress would require a whopping 100 cubic feet and that my loveseat would need 250 cubic feet - without taking into account any items that could be stacked on top of them. The inflated measurements for common household furniture didn't make sense to me at all, and I felt like I was being taken advantage of.

When I expressed my concerns and asked them to unload my items so I could do it myself, they refused to do so without a fee. So, I was forced to pay the inflated bill in full. Overall, my experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage left a lot to be desired. I urge anyone considering this company for their move to carefully weigh their options and do their due diligence.

Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage Cautionary Review of Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage: Deceptive Practices and Disappointing Results

Let me tell you about my experience with Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage. At first, we were excited to work with them because they quoted us a reasonable price of $4,500 and said our move would only take three days. We paid the required deposit of $1,800 and eagerly awaited our move date. However, our excitement quickly turned to frustration when a few days later, they called and told us the price had jumped to $8,100. We were shocked and disappointed that they would do this after we had already paid a non-refundable deposit of $3,500.

To make matters worse, when the movers finally showed up today, they informed us that it was going to take up to 21 days for our belongings to arrive at our new home. This simply wouldn't work for us, so we sent them away and are now scrambling to reserve our own moving truck.

I have to say that I feel like we were outright lied to throughout this process, and the reviews that we saw online must be fake. We feel like we've been completely taken advantage of by Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage, and we're not afraid to take legal action if necessary. I would strongly advise anyone thinking of working with this company to think twice and proceed with caution.
