I used Bekins A-1 Movers, Inc. for my move and it was a total disaster. They lost some of my stuff and now I'm out of pocket. I don't understand why they can't take responsibility for their mistakes. It's been a nightmare trying to get any kind of compensation from them. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Bekins A-1 Movers, Inc. didn't give me my stuff when they said they would (it came a whole week late) because their truck broke down where it started. While I was waiting, they kept telling me my stuff was coming and would be on time, but that wasn't true. They also charged me for stuff I didn't need, like a shuttle that didn't get used and some "Move Management Services" that wasn't in the contract I signed. They took off the shuttle charge, but they won't take off the other one, and now they won't talk to me anymore. I don't think you should use Bekins.

I used Bekins to store my stuff after my husband passed away. I asked them to bring my things to my son's house for storage. I was alone and had a really bad back. It was summer and I had never used a moving company before. When they unloaded my stuff, I noticed there were a lot of empty numbers. The guys told me to just mark off the empty ones because they probably missed some. When I was ready to move my furniture, some of it was missing. Bekins wouldn't cover my loss because I did what they told me to do. My furniture was less than a year old and cost almost $1000. Don't trust them. I did and now I'm out of luck.

I used Bekins Moving Solutions in Phoenix, AZ twice from June-July . I sold my home real quick in June this year and they moved my stuff from my home to a storage facility in Chandler and cuz of a lack of communication with my consultant, I had to rent my home back from the new buyers for 5 days. The actual employees that packed and moved my stuff did a good job except for not providing enough info on the labeling on the boxes. The second move was on July 17th to move my stuff to an apartment I got. Again the actual movers did a good job in less time than I paid for per the quote and it took until November 18th to get my refund! After several unsuccessful attempts with my contact, I escalated my issue to reach a resolution. The office staff at this location had no sense of urgency in refunding me my overpayment until I escalated my problem. I will never use Bekins again or refer them to anyone!

Bekins did a really bad job with my stuff. I paid over $8,000 to move my things from San Diego to Houston, but they messed it up. The guy who packed my stuff did a bad job and my marble table broke into three pieces. My hutch and chest of drawers got messed up too, and some small things got lost or broken. They charged me extra to pack the marble, but when the guy opened the crate, he said it was really bad. I wrote them letters and sent them a bill for $974.25 to fix the marble table and hutch, but they haven't paid me yet. I talked to a bunch of people in California, Florida, and Indiana, but they didn't help. They sent me a check for $125, but that's not enough to fix everything. I want them to pay for the damages and fix my hutch and chest of drawers.

I would not recommend this company. Moving is never fun, but I never thought a "pro" moving company would make it a nightmare. First, don't let them pack for you. They use expensive boxes, like a $133 "Grandfather clock" box for a plastic Christmas tree. Second, they hide the real cost with non-binding estimates. Then, when it's $2,000 more, they make up ridiculous excuses. The salesman overestimated our move weight by thousands of pounds, so they charged a $2,000 "truck storage" fee. Third, their employees lie about taking notes during calls. They don't care about customer satisfaction, only profits. They don't even tell their drivers about customer notes. I'll tell the ComplaintsBoard.com about their shady practices. Avoid this company.

When we were ready to move, we found out that 18 boxes were stolen and 10 were opened and messed with. The driver brought the 10 boxes, but they were half empty. We also lost a coffee table. We filed a claim, but it was weeks before we knew what was missing. They paid us fast, but we lost more than we claimed. We tried to get a refund for storage, but they didn't answer our calls or emails. We wrote to the president, but no answer. They finally gave us $600 for the missing boxes and a refund for storage. We lost thousands more than they paid us. We don't know why they didn't file a police report or check the cameras. Bekins doesn't care about theft.

Ofelia P. was my agent and we agreed that they would pack my two TVs and wall art for $150. She was supposed to be my contact until delivery, but she left the company and no one took over my file. I had to act as my own agent. Two items were damaged and a box was lost. Claims and customer service gave different answers. The Phoenix office didn't take my calls and other locations didn't return them. I didn't take their insurance, but they lost a box and damaged items I paid them to protect. They offered me $9 and want me to sign an agreement for $36 more.

This moving company is terrible! They lost my bike and won't tell me where it is. They also broke a lot of my dishes and my furniture was dirty. They even broke a case of wine. I've used Bekins before and had the same problem. Tucson has a big problem with this company. Their employees must hate their job because it shows. I don't think anyone should use their service. I want my bike back and no one will tell me where it is. I think their employees sold it. Don't let anyone use this moving company!

The movers picked up everything from my house and storage, and they took a break for lunch after loading everything up. They dropped off my stuff and set up my bedrooms, but they didn't bring my mattress and my table was all messed up. They told me I could file a claim, but it took them three months to send me the form. By that time, they said I owed them more money for the extra time it took to drop off my stuff. But that extra time was because they took a lunch break in the middle of the move. They shouldn't make me pay for that because they knew about the extra pickup at my storage.

They packed and loaded everything on time, but when they delivered it to Vegas, they said it was gonna cost over 13 grand instead of the 8 grand they originally quoted me. That's over 6 grand more! And to make matters worse, they messed up a bunch of my furniture. They didn't even cover most of it and they banged up my desk, chairs, and broke some glass. They lost the feet to my bed and a big plant pot too. I can't believe they charged me so much money just to mess up my stuff and then only offered me 272 bucks to make up for over 10 grand in damages. Don't use these guys, they're a rip-off!

I gave my stuff to Bekins to store and move out of state in 2019. But I ended up staying in Tucson and asked for my things back in January . I paid $150 a month for a year and a half and didn't hear anything about my stuff. When they delivered it, the Bekins guy said they didn't mess up my stuff. They were nice and put everything in my spare room. But some chairs were broken, an end table and bureau had broken legs, an antique desk was messed up, the coffee table was broken, a granite top was cracked, some TVs were missing, a China box was gone, and some boxes were opened. Bekins only offered $.60 per pound, which was $293.40.

Bekins messed up big time! They didn't unload our stuff, so my sis and I had to do it ourselves. Some of our furniture got messed up and some pieces went missing. They didn't even try to make it right! We hired them in Dec 2019 and paid extra for early pickup, but they didn't deliver on time. My sis and I had to work for almost 8 hours to unload and set up our furniture, which they charged us extra for. The truck driver and Bekins kept lying to us, saying help was on the way, but it never came. They didn't even assemble our furniture properly! That night, my back went out and I couldn't do anything for two weeks. They promised to make it right, but their offer was a joke. They were late with the delivery and I had to pay extra for early pickup. I offered to compromise on the bill, but they should really cover everything. I could sue them for all the pain and suffering they caused me. I have pictures to prove they didn't even set up our furniture for over 8 months! I want someone from Bekins Wheaton carriers to contact me ASAP and fix this mess. It's been almost a year and I keep getting passed around.

Bekins was hired for my military move through Tier One Solutions. I've done 4 military moves before and never had this many problems with a moving company. My stuff got to Tucson on 5/13 and I asked for a delivery date of 5/22. The person in charge of the move couldn't get ahold of Bekins even though they called every day. On 5/19, we finally got ahold of Bekins and they said the earliest delivery would be 6/4. On 6/3, they said the movers would come between 9:00 and 11:00, but they didn't show up until 12:30. I called Bekins a bunch of times to see where the movers were, but they didn't answer so I had to wait around. When they finally delivered my stuff, they didn't check it with me to make sure everything was there. I noticed my $6000 leather couch was missing. The movers called the warehouse and they couldn't find it. On 6/6, I started calling Bekins to find out where my couch was. I called at least 3 times before I talked to someone in operations who said they were trying to find it, but they were busy with other shipments and would call me back the next day. They never called. I called them 3 or 4 times a day and on 6/10, they said they found my couch and would deliver it on 6/11. They didn't. Now they're saying they'll deliver it on 6/18, 4 weeks after I asked for it and 2 weeks after they delivered everything else. They never called me back, even when they missed the delivery of my couch.

They didn't even take the drawers out of my furniture or put it back together. They didn't know how to move furniture and just threw a blanket over my couch and picked it up. I told them to stop because the cushions would fall out, but they didn't listen. They made two extra trips because they didn't bring a big enough truck and charged me extra for it. The manager said he made a mistake sending inexperienced workers. They didn't even attach the beds to the headboards. They packed everything with too much paper and damaged my furniture. I've moved before and never had such a bad experience. The manager promised to reduce my bill, but he didn't. They need better management and my bill should be reduced by $2500.
