In March 2023, I had an appointment at Southwest Medical Associates located in Las Vegas, NV, located at 7061 Grand Montecito Pkwy, 89149. I do not have health insurance, so I self-paid $100 at check-in before my appointment. Two months later, I received a bill for $550. I called and was told that I am considered a "new patient," because I have not been...
Read full review of Southwest Medical AssociatesJennifer.. Nurse for palliative care and hospice care
Once before our palliative care nurse asked Jennifer to call on my husband, and she did not. Our palliative care nurse was away for a week on a conference. My husband has been rather ill and needs careful monitoring. Our nurse said that a nurse called Jennifer would be covering for him for the week. Unfortunately, that week my husband had Covid Pneumonia nd was sent home from hospital too soon. I too had Covid, and could not cope with looking after him properly.
Jennifer did not call, call round, or make any contact with us during that week. It was an extremely hard week, and we were lucky we both survived. When our palliative care nurse returned I told him that we had not heard from Jennifer. He was not pleased. Later on that day, Monday, I got a call. Someone was shouting down the phone. She sounded drunk, drugged or mentally unstable. it was Jennifer. I could not tell what she was shouting about, and told her to shut up. I told her that she had let us down when we needed help. sh4e shouted that she was a hospice nurse not palliative, which is not true. she said she had been teaching other nurses. God help us all!
This nurse needs to be demoted and start at the bottom again. I believe that she is now the palliative care nurse for Pahrump. I could not trust her with my husband's life. I think she should be reprimanded and made to send a written apology for her poor actions.
Please forward this to the CEO of Southwest Medical Assoc
Desired outcome: A written apology and a demotion
Some time ago our regular primary care physician went on paternity leave. That left my husband, Roland Taylor, in the care of Dr. Wang.
My husband is on palliative care, with late stage heart failure.
My husband developed a chesty cough and I called Southwest medical to get an appointment for him. The woman who took the call marked it urgent because of my husband's condition.
I received a call from Corey, MA for Dr. Wang. he said that there was not an appointment until the end of May, it was mid April.
I explained my husband's situation. Dr. Wang said that he would contact our palliative care nurse. He did not, he simply forgot about my husband.
The palliative care nurse sent two messages to Dr. Wang to advise him of my husband's condition. No reply.
When the palliative care nurse came to the house he realized that my husband had pneumonia. He arranged for an ambulance to take him to the ER. There it was discovered that my husband had Covid pneumonia.
Dr. Wang should not be able to practice. With his attitude my husband could have died. He has no excuse, he's just a very poor doctor.
Please forward this to Southwest Medical Assoc CEO.
Availability of Appointments
I know SW Medical is a busy company. However, I have Rhuematoid Arthritis and have to see my RA or her associates every 4-6 months. Three times I have had an appt. with my RA's PA and all 3 times it's been cancelled. I called this morning to re-schedule for June as per a voicemail they left me. The woman I spoke with said they had no appts. until end of August and I told her I have an appt. with PA Fitzgerald for September and no sense in coming in in August and told her to forget it and if anything happens, etc. I'll call. Every time I have to make an appt., regardless of who it is with, I hear there is nothing open when I need it. Back in January, I was very ill and had to do video appts. Then I contracted Covid and had to do more video appts as they had no appts. available. I am very frustrated and irritated with SW Medical. I have numerous medical issues besides the RA and as I said, I know they are busy, but this is ridiculous.
Desired outcome: Unknown - they said they could not get me in for June appt.

Repeated "We want your feedback!
Repeated "We want your feedback!" emails for the same single visit, even after completing the requested survey Visited Southwest Medical on March 26 for procedure. First email survey request received on April 6. Completed survey but received additional emails on April 13, April 16, May 26, and June 17 for same survey for same visit. Out of those 4 additional requests, completed survey a second time stating survey was already completed. Clicked on unsubscribe link in multiple emails, obviously to no avail. Due to these failures am filing a harassment complaint

I was the first person in the office
I was the first person in the office. I am having chest pains I was brought back and not seen by a doctor at all. The nurses/doc was drinking coffee. The nurses were drinking coffee and eating at 8am the doctor was on a call in the room next to me talking about something with a dr fauci. I am having chest pains right now did not get seen. I left and they followed me out to my car to apologize. With this deadly virus going around you would think they would want to get you in and out as soon as possible. I was the only patient in the urgent care and waited for a hour. Very unprofessional
