Spinlife's Neglectful Service: Broken Chair and Broken Promises for Disabled Veteran
I'm a disabled veteran and I was in need of a chair to help me with my disabilities and back pain. I ordered a chair from Spinlife and it was delivered to me between Sept 24-28-2021. However, the tech they sent put the chair together wrong which caused the chair to become unbalanced and eventually unstable. The chair broke in other areas as well.
I immediately called Spinlife and reported the issue within the 30 day warranty period. They sent the tech back to put the chair back together, but the full extent of the damage was realized and I was told a part would be ordered and the chair would be fixed.
However, over a month later, I heard nothing from the company. So I called Spinlife back and found out that they had reached out to the manufacturer, but the manufacturer had not responded. Spinlife had not kept track of the requested part either.
After several calls, a replacement part finally arrived at my door, but it was completely broken. I reported this to Spinlife, but they told me that there was nothing they could do at this point. They simply told me to wait like them.
As a disabled veteran with mobility issues, I now have a huge broken chair in my house with a nearly equally big broken part. No one is doing anything to fix the issue. They are just moving the issue from department to department, seller to manufacturer, manager to manager. This is pure neglect and using stalling tactics to circumvent their responsibilities. They simply will not own up to their mistakes and replace the chair. Nor will they fix it.
It has been 129 days since I received the chair on Sept 28th and it is now Feb 4th. That's 4 months and 6 days. This is completely subpar and unacceptable service.
SpinLife Review: Terrible Customer Service and False Advertising
I recently ordered a Pride Mobility Go Chair from SpinLife on May 3rd, which happened to be a Sunday. I was drawn to this company because of their advertised 3-5 day delivery time. However, I quickly became frustrated when I noticed that the shipping date kept changing from May 4th to May 6th.
On May 7th, I decided to call the shipping company to inquire about the status of my order. To my surprise, they had no knowledge of the shipment being picked up. I immediately contacted SpinLife to express my concerns and explain how the delivery date had changed three times in just three days. The representative assured me that she would call the warehouse to find out where my order was. After a brief hold, she returned to the phone and informed me that my order was being shipped from Las Vegas to Pennsylvania. I was confused and asked why they would do that when I live in Utah, which is 15 hours away. The representative was silent, and I requested to speak to a supervisor.
When the supervisor came on the phone, she informed me that my order was actually in Pennsylvania and that I probably wouldn't receive it until Friday, May 14th. I was extremely frustrated because I needed the chair to go to work. I explained that the only reason I chose SpinLife was because of their advertised delivery time, and now I wouldn't receive it until "MAYBE" May 14th. I also asked why I wasn't notified that the item was out of stock, so I could have had the option to cancel and go somewhere else where I could get it delivered quicker. Unfortunately, the supervisor hung up on me, leaving me feeling helpless and frustrated.
As someone who was in a motorcycle accident and needs the chair for mobility, I was extremely disappointed with SpinLife's lack of customer service. I had chosen SpinLife because they were cheaper and had a better delivery time than Pride Mobility, but now I regret not checking their reviews before making my purchase. I have since contacted the Better Business Bureau and discovered that SpinLife has an A+ rating on their site, but only a 1.5 customer service rating. This is consistent with what I have seen on other review sites. I wish I had checked reviews before making my purchase, and I would strongly advise others to avoid SpinLife at all costs. They are liars and don't care about the customer.
In conclusion, I am extremely disappointed with SpinLife's customer service and would not recommend them to anyone. I hope that they can prove me wrong and improve their customer service in the future. Until then, I stand by my review and urge others to avoid SpinLife.
Terrible Experience with SpinLife: Unreliable, Unfair, and Poor Customer Service
I had a really bad experience with SpinLife. I ordered a power wheelchair on Friday, March 16th and never received a confirmation email. I called on Monday, March 20th and was told they would send one. Later that day, I received a confirmation email with my billing address and phone number correct, but the shipping address was wrong. It was for a street called Widget Lane in Walnut Creek, California. I live in Wisconsin! I called SpinLife on March 21st and got a person who told me the wrong shipping address. She implied that I must have given them that address, which of course I didn't! She said too bad I would have to wait until it got to California, and then it would be another week to ship back to Wisconsin! I suggested they ship me a new one from Florida as I would have it in 3 days. No, they said they couldn't do that. By this time, I had an appointment to have a lift in my van, and now I had no chair to take to the appointment! Also, I was leaving on vacation on April 1st.
I followed up around March 28th and found out the chair was lost in California, and they would have to ship a new one to me from Florida, like I had suggested earlier! I told them they had to ship it to me at my vacation hotel and have someone unpack it and set it up! They did agree to do that. A white glove tech was assigned, and he called me when he got the chair and said it had a flat, damaged tire, and he had to order a new one from Florida! He did what he said, and finally, on April 6th, he delivered my chair to me at around 7:30 pm CST at my hotel.
Because I didn't have the chair when my lift was installed, I asked him to make sure the chair fit on the lift in my van! It did NOT! I couldn't close the hatchback as the chair was too high. All this waiting, and now I can't use it because I have to send it back! So, I called SpinLife and told them I need to send it back because the information I was given said my van, the lift I bought, and the chair I had were all compatible, but the chair was too high! They said it was not their problem, and they would refund all but the $600+ restocking fee, even though I had done everything right in checking that the van, lift, and chair were compatible.
I am now two days away from the end of my vacation, and they are supposed to send a company to get the chair tomorrow, and I feel SpinLife is being unfair about charging me this huge fee for a chair I couldn't use! I even talked to SpinLife president Lisa Stein, and although she said she was sorry, she agrees with her staff that I have to pay them the huge restocking fee! Unbelievable poor customer service! I am thinking of going to a local paper or TV station and see if they will get this story out! Don't order from this company; they are not reliable and very unfair!
SpinLife Review: Terrible Customer Service and Misleading Back-Order Dates for Mobility Scooters
SpinLife is a company that I would not recommend to anyone. They are terrible and do not care about their customers. I had a very bad experience with them and it was heartbreaking to see how they treat older people. I waited for four months for my scooter and had to talk to SpinLife, Golden Technologies, and YRC Shipping multiple times.
SpinLife is a drop ship company, which means they do not have a store or warehouse with stock. When you order from them, they pay and place an order with the manufacturer of the item you bought. You then have to wait for the manufacturer to send the item, not SpinLife. All they do is collect money. That's it.
SpinLife will not tell you the truth about what is back-ordered. I found out that all scooters from most manufacturers are taking months to deliver because of parts issues overseas. I have over 20 emails between myself and SpinLife just about the backorder dates changing incrementally over the past 4 months. It's shameful.
There is nothing on SpinLife's site that says mobility scooters are taking months to be made. SpinLife is giving short back-order dates that suddenly get a lot longer after you pay them. They are liars.
To make matters worse, after 3.5 months, I got a call from SpinLife's shipper, a freight company called YRC Shipping, to make arrangements for delivery. My scooter had arrived in Seattle! The nightmare was over... NOT!
There is yet one more huge headache to deal with: the shipper never delivered my scooter. I called asking where my scooter was. They apologized and rescheduled. Then they never showed up. Again.
We just called YRC Shipping and they have shipped my scooter back to the manufacturer, and it is currently in Chicago with no explanation why. I am in Seattle. My scooter was so close and now it's gone. This was after I sent an email to SpinLife asking why YRC Shipping hasn't called to set up another delivery appointment.
SpinLife never bothered to lift a finger. All they did was open my account, look and see I have a ship date. SpinLife never bothered to find out that my scooter arrived here in my city, in mid-September then was shipped back to the manufacturer for no reason.
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company and I truly feel like SpinLife takes advantage of older people on a daily basis. This kind of behavior seems to be just a regular thing with them. I am younger and know what's going on. It was even hard for me to navigate the run-around SpinLife gave me.
It's very hurtful to know this is how they treat their elderly customers. They know how to smooth-talk you and act caring on the phone. Don't fall for it. They do not care about you. They are a drop ship company that will collect your money and then you are on your own.
They made a mistake treating me this way. I hope they learn from their mistakes and start treating their customers with respect and honesty.
