Laptop return method of payment refund
I returned an online purchase bought with E Certificate to a Staples store. Called 800.333.3330 to verify the method of refund and was told a check would be issued since it was over $500 (The store Manager was also on the call). I received notification that the refund would be issued in Gift Card several days later. In the meantime, I made another purchase at a competitor's store expecting a check refund. Staples won't honor the representative's statement insisting they must issue a gift card as per policy. Matter unresolved at this point in time.
Desired outcome: Honor representatives statement and Issue check for refund value.

I went to the Staples Office location in Waycross Georgia on Saturday May 15 2021. I arrived at approximately 10:20 AM. I entered and ask the young register clerk if I could get a doc reduced overall by 40%. He replied I don't think we do that here, as he was speaking I was walking to the copy & photo section and seen the necessary equipment to do this. I said it seems you can do that here but you just might know how to--is there anyone else here. I had not noticed him speaking to someone on his head set and he replied I am speaking with my manager right now and they told me to tell you to return at 11:30 for this. I said why? I was told the manager was busy doing something and would do it at 11:30 or I could go else where to get this done...As I left I fully understood the parking being empty and I know my vehicle will never be there again. went to the Staples store in Clarksville Indiana, went up the the print service counter where I stood behind a lady who left saying she was to old to wait any longer. I waited for 6 minutes while the young girl was on her cell phone and never looked up or over at the counter. I went to the check out counter and ask the young man if he could get some other help at the print counter, he refused to help and refused to call anyone else to help. This kind of service will turn customers off to your company. You have good products, but the in store help seems to be more interested in their cell phones.
A Hewlett Packard office jet printer, scanner, fax
I purchased this item on 1/1/21. I set it up at my home office and found I needed to contact my IT consultants to install the item properly. My IT consultants installed the item and informed me, they had more complaints about this item then any other product of this type. Since January, I have had to have my computer consultants reinstall or completely remove the Smart Task software so, I could use the product at least 3 times. I scan and copy throughout the day. The fact that this item continues to malfunction indicates to me this item has a huge soft ware problem. I attempted to return the item this morning to my local Staples where I purchased the item and was told they wouldn't take it back. Further, the young lady informed me that I should have purchased the extended warranty. I did not purchase the extended warranty because when purchasing a new item it should function perfectly. If you are pushing the extended warranty, it implies poor quality merchandise.

Hello, I purchased a computer for my daughter November of 2018. I also purchased the most expensive accidental coverage ($299). I was told it covered everything and she wouldn't loose school time because it would be taken care of at the store- repaired or replaced.
I went to Staples where I purchased it (on DelPrado, Cape Coral FL) a month ago. The warranty is thru Nov 2021. The computer camera does not work, and the screen is cracked. I was told that you no longer work with ‘square trade- Allstate' so I have to work directly with them. It has been nothing but a hassle. I sent the computer last week, they said they just ‘received' it today. No guarantee how long it will take them.
Meanwhile, we are having the worst time trying to get her online for school.
I paid the huge fee to avoid this. I'm disappointed that this is how Staples is handling the situation.
I cannot imagine buying another device at staples, and will absolutely tell everyone I know not to purchase an extended warranty, since you won't stand by it.

The order was sent to their central processing facility.
I was charged $55.98
****They did NOT provide the clear edge requested for moisture barrier sealing as requested. This made the order useless for intended purpose, as flat coasters for drink glasses on wooden finished furniture.
They overprinted way too many of most of the photographs. The bill was for the original amount.

I tried to shop at your store on Sunday. I was refused entry by Charles at 4:02pm, he was wearing a black shirt and he refused to provide his employee ID number. I am not able to wear a mask for medical reasons.
He told me I was not welcome in the store because I could not wear a mask. As I am sure you are aware this violated my Charter of Rights Section 6, a violation of the Emergency Act 1421 and broke the Discrimination Law. No "bylaw" can overrule any of these true laws.
So I am providing you the opportunity to correct this situation. Should you chose not to, I will have no choice but to sue you, the person that refused me entry and the company.

Computer installation software
I have an hp laptop, because someone hacked into my laptop to peeping my files, so I took the hp laptop to staples located :23710 el toro road lake forest, ca 92630. Ask to reinstall window 10 system.
But your staff replaced my 1tb hard drive with a 500gb hard drive. Gave me that a someone else's old toshiba hard drive and tell me it is the hard drive of my laptop. He lied.
My hard drive absolutely nothing bad at all, and my hp laptop is a new model. I bought it less than 2 years. It only need reinstalling the software problems. Staples staff lied, more charge and stole my hard drive.
Laptop office 365
It involves Bureau En Gross Store #77 at Dorval Québec. I purchased a Laptop in 2019 with TWO YEARS warranty. I have had many problems with this laptop. I asked to replace it, they refused. They fixed the other malfunctioning but the problem with OFFICE 365 continued and they refused to fix it even though the product is still under the manufacturer's warranty. Due to Covid-19 the store was closed for a long time. This week, the store is re-opened. I called the manager and asked if I could bring the Laptop to fix Office 365 (he knew the problem since last year). "I am very busy and this soft ware is not under the warranty" the manger replied. I pointed out that the store installed wrong software and gave me the wrong Product Key. But he didn't want hear about it and said "I don't care". I called Staples Canada one January 18, 2021, A Rep. Named Mae told me she would look into it and call me back. I am still waiting for her call.

This is my LAST complaint, if the problem not resolved within 10 days; I will hand over the file to my lawyer and also file a complaint with BBB.
It is hope that this issue is amicably resolved.

I took my laptop in on 2/8/2021 order #[protected] to Store # 662 for my McAfee virus protection to be renewed and to have a diagnostic done. (which I found out later was done only through the McAfee) and I have always paid yearly to have an instore one done in case something needed tended to and was told they don't do that. I've used this store many years, it's where I purchased the laptop. There is a new Manager/Salesperson ID#1920101 — who perhaps is not qualified/cut out for this position. He was extremely arrogant, would not stop talking to listen to what I was requesting, was reciting store/product/service policies? Couldn't get the product into the sales receipt... on and on. "busting his mouth about anything and everything except to serve me correctly" I left the laptop, went back the next day to pick it up, had to deal with this person again. It was my error not to check to see if what I asked to be done was. Got home, my laptop and programs were a mess. I called and tried to talk to this person again and he said if I brought the laptop back in, he'd have to charge me a service call amount, keep my laptop etc (to remove various search engines and other tabs that kept appearing each time I opened the lid) I tried to remove them but to no avail. He said all he did was download the virus protection. After him arguing with me and me not getting a word in edgewise, I told him I was going to hang up. I decided to go by another Staples store, walked in and 2 nice techs helped me in less than 10 minutes, were very professional, helpful, respectful and didn't charge me a dime. I was out the door, things working properly and a happy customer. I truly believe the name badge Manager has gone literally to this person's head because he was also while waiting on me with not much attention, publicly chirping at 2 of his techs in front of me about how things would be done now, not like they were done before. And, it was obvious these gentlemen were embarrassed. He needs to be in a job more suited to NON customer service and the public. I will NEVER set foot in that particular Staples again and I've done business there, like I said for years. Thank you for your time.

Arrived on monday feb 1rst after 7 pm according to the text I received from staples.
The snow storm came at 2 pm on feb 1rst and until feb 3rd no one really could use the treacherous roads. On feb 4th at 8:01pm I arrived at staples to pick up : isaai said you cannot come in and I cannot bring you the order but I will hold you order: I told him I had a plane to catch and would be away in france for 2 weeks: he replied I am the manager and I will hold on to your order. Yesterday on 2/7/2021 I was looking at my staples account and my order stated : has been picked up. So I called staples and spoke to someone in india who barely spoke english and I asked him to hold on to the order as I was in france and that I could not pick up until the 20th of february. Today I received an email from him saying that my order was sent back as I requested. I just called the store and spoke to the manager stating that the person I spoke to yesterday told them to return my order: I told him I had spoken to mr issai on the 4th at the store nd he was holding the order for me. This manager said issai was not the manager as he was and that he never said that I came at 8:01pm on 2/4/2021: he was told by the online person to refund my order. I am astounded that I lost my $14 coupons and my order because of the incompetence of your staff who purposefully refuse to help the customers after 25 years of doing business.
It is ashame to see how they go out of their way to stop my business.
I hope you can fix this.

I recently purchased, online from Staples an HP printer and four year "protection tech help plan". Today I tried to contact tech support and was asked how much I paid for the printer. I told your rep that I did not remember and did not have the invoice. I was then told that without the purchase price I could not obtain services.
You as the seller informed your subcontractor of the plan purchase. If they needed to sell the price, I think it only right that they should have gotten that info from you when you informed them that I have purchased a plan.
Due to the extended time wasted on the phone with your poorly trained staff an inability of your managers to provide any type of positive responses to my reasonable queries and in view of the fact that your "tech help" cannot provide me with the services which I paid for, I hereby request that you refund my purchase price.
You can rest assured that I will never again make a purchase at Staples nor recommend to anyone that they should consider purchasing from Staples.,
