On 3/28/2025, I returned a $150 Xbox controller through Amazon’s return process and dropped it off at this Staples. I trusted the process and didn't ask for a receipt — big mistake. A week later, Amazon notified me they never received the item. I called Staples and was basically told to deal with Amazon. After nearly an hour on the phone with Amazon support, the issue is still unresolved.
I even have video footage of me walking into Staples with the item, but that means nothing if the return was never properly processed. For all I know, it vanished behind the counter — possibly stolen. The employee I dealt with was a young male, just for reference.
If you're planning to return something to Amazon via Staples, DO NOT trust them without getting that receipt. Treat that slip of paper like it’s a $150 bill. Better yet, return your item elsewhere.
Claimed loss: $150
Desired outcome: A successful return to Amazon
