bad customer service
First they were replying with different answers which confuse people.
And now they are bullying me and spying to use anything I write on the site against me, they are also spying on me outside stardoll, and are giving wrong idea about me as well as allowing members to bully and report me. After messaging them they denied that their staff would ever do such thing and made random excuses for what she/they did.
And last thing they deleted all of my designing accounts without warning and they do not wish to explain the issue with accurate answers and proves.

I have been playing this game since last year and found the game really difficult. I introduced a friend in the states who has helped me out many times and today I bought some décor - décor is like wallpaper or interior decorations for your home like furniture and such.
Unfortunately I was cheated. They took my money because I saw my money had reduced and when I went to my house I could not find my décor anywhere. Please report this to the web page. I have no way to report it as they don't give me any option to do that.

I've spend more than 1000 dollars on memberships in stardoll, so my doll can live a lavish e-life.Now, when i buy new expensive clothes and they are magically missing...then i get really angry!
What the heck ? As soon as the new updates in stardoll came everything is more complicated. My clothes got lost and the cost a fortune! I demand you do something about it!

yes this is a truth fortunately i have not lost a stardollar item, but i had bought on starbazar a very rare starcoin skirt and i remember i made a blog about clothes and i puted a photo of my doll wearing that skirt and wanted to waer it and i couldnt find it ...i was like where the hell did it go ... i searched starbazar again and found it with 600 starcoins and bought it for second time, and was saying me that i already own it .I was like what where did it go, althought this i never found it . and after 2 weeks i lost my favourite vinyl shirt

Well to start I used Stardoll a lot as a kid. I had so much fun playing even thou I never paid for a membership. Recently maybe about a month ago I rejoined Stardoll to started replaying the the website and it was so much fun. I decided that I would try paying for a membership, a superstar membership is what they called it. Costing me around $35.00 for a 6 month membership I paid for it. My membership however did not pop up until I logged in and out twice from the account. Finally when my account was loaded all my money and my superstar status was uploaded! I was extremely happy... until i tried to purchase something.
POOF! My money was gone. Confused like anyone else would be, I logged back in and out to see if that would work but no my money was gone.COMPLETELY GONE! Checking the transaction history on my account, Stardoll had made a "payment adjustment" taking away my money and refusing to give it back. I have tried contacting the company but they only say its my fault for giving out my password. I clearly did not give out my password they took my money from my account. I am very furious with the company and have been contacting them demanding a refund. They still will not and keep blaming me saying again I apparently gave out my password. Now this is just a rip off and it makes me wonder how many other girls are getting ripped off on this website.
Overall I suggest that if you let your child play, do not buy them a membership. You may get ripped off like I did.

On stardoll I was sharing my account with a girl iv known for a long time. Her name was Beckyg. sd. And she was really nice but then all of a sudden she turned. She was 16 years old and she started to make me see she wasint stupid. But she hacked me! I tried to do forgot password but she also changed my email! I told her she better give it back, So when I went on her account. Her presentation said..."Leaving stardoll". Why would she do that to me!? I trusted her. Then she left. And I had tons of friends I never said good bye to! So now I am currently On my bff's Account EmilyMuniz. My Real account was Seccilexi6, so If you find me on stardoll please do not even bother talking to me cause no one will be there. I had purchased a lot of clothes on my stardoll account. Today I logged in my account and my clothes were gone, so were my shoes and accessories and I spent a lot of money on that.

OMG! the same thing happened to me.
So back in [protected] I used to be friends with this girl named amygasa. She was very nice and loyal to me. We often chatted online, tinychatted, even skyped by webcam...and I THOUGHT i knew her.. but then suddenly one day i got royalty and she stopped talking to me. she started saying things like "you're royalty now and you never spend time with me" or "stop acting like you're too good for me even though ur royalty" but none of that was true. When I first got my royalty, I told her we should celebrate by me creating a party. she said no, and i left it at that but i still kept in touch with her. everytime i got on stardoll i said hi to her but she kept on making up these lies, and then one day she SNAPPED. she started threatening me and saying stuff like " i'm ur best friend u give me royalty or i'll take ur precious belongings" and stuff like that. i got so scared because i had told her my pw when i thought i could trust her but i didnt think she was gonna hack me, so i didn't care of her threatening me... but one day i tried logging into my account and i couldn't. i tried multiple times but it still wasn't working so finally i got on my backup and looked on my account. i saw that all of my stuff was GONE. my young hollywood, le's, tributes, all of it was gone. i was really pissed off at her and i didn't think she would do that.. it just goes to show NEVER trust anyone on the internet, because u never know who they rlly are. even if they show u their face on webcam... a face can only get u so far.
royalty
So, i have been a member of stardoll since 2010 and so has my sister. My sister stopped using stardoll. As of i did not. I logged in everyday i was an active user. I worked really hard to get to royalty and i STILL don/t have it, and i have superstar. Then my sister see's me playing and logs in. And all of a sudden just like that she gets royalty. On the other hand i have been working hard.That's so unfair.

My daughter used star doll and was asked to type in her phone number. She was then able to 'purchase' clothes etc (virtual) costing over £1000, over the course of 4 months. I noticed when my rent was unpaid that my account was seriously overdrawn! The purchases were simply charged to her phone bill. I was not asked, and she was not aware that the prices were in real money. Needless to say, star doll have ignored my complaints so far.

i have topped up on star doll a couple of days ago and it was for a whole year and star doll have already kicked me off superstar when it has only been a few days and have took all my money off me and left me 4 coins i would like a refund A.S.A.P. as the years subscription was bought for my early Xmas present and now i can not use it !

deleting superstar accounts
I had a superstar account on Stardoll (TherealYayrey) that had Beach Villa, over 100 days SS left, an active club with over 1000 members, all rooms open and tons more. Then Stardoll deleted it because I wanted to sell another account. I got it back after one week of begging and sending emails to Stardoll but I didn't get my club Yayrey back which had 1000 members. So I made another one with the exact same name. It had about 700 members when my account got deleted again for like no reason. Now Stardoll isn't giving it back. It just wants money and doesn't care about the members because they think that they're just a bunch of kids.
Selling accounts on Stardoll, as on many other online game sites, is breaking the terms and conditions that users agree to abide by when they make an account. Most people cannot be bothered to read and understand the T&Cs and the general rules of behaviour when they create an account. As in law, ignorance is no excuse. Stardoll do NOT delete accounts "for like no reason".
I totally agree with everyone who is against Stardoll. I would love it if everyone unites and sues Stardoll! This has to be stopped. Their stupid messages and replies are all so cheap and filthy. They copy and paste messages to everyone! This is very low of them. They take an advantage of all the kids who play Stardoll ages 8-18 to be exact. They don't show sympathy what so ever! It is never too late to start an official complaint and petition!
I am very concerned with 'Stardoll/ and running of. I have my own credit card and played religiously until I was unwell for a few months and they deleted my account it seems! I have spent so much into this game and am very angry they are not returning emails. This is fraudalant activity. They take vulnerable peoples money and do what they want. I am not a child as such but I worry to think about the brainwashing and money taking they do with kids...this can't be right. Also a lot of the message boards have topics which you wouldn't rate for kids eyes...About rape, sex, violence, bullies...I'm starting to think an official complaint and action should be made against this group and I will look into this further.

GRRR! i am so mad at this stardoll! I have spent about 100$ just on my one account and they delete me one day. No reason!I buy my stuff right, I was a platamium user, and spent alot of time n effort into the account! N theres NO way you can get it back! NO refunds, or any thing! So... I kinda want my 9 more months and 200$ (stardoll) dollers on there back! Im pretty shure this had to do with my brother whos account also got deleted, but why did they punish me? In June 2010 I opened an internet account for my granddaughter Viki with STARDOLL AB Hudiksvallsgatan B, S 113 30, Stockholm, Sweden.
This website displays various pictures of figures and modes of dress for children to play with. Membership is granted upon payment of a fee (£7.95) and sets up a membership name and password. A tab on the website invites users to ask questions, one of which is “Are there any additional charges involved in using this website?” Clicking on the tab brings up the answer “NO”.
The membership purchased for Viki was: Name Vikvulady; password mico44.
This is the only membership which was purchased.
In August 2010 my wife, Mrs Hilda Palmer, received credit card statements from from Seven credit card and M&S credit card, both of which included items against Stardoll.com which we were unable to identify. Copies of the statement pages are given below. With respect to Seven credit card there are 28 items which together total £741.42. With respect to M&S there are 16 items totalling £282.41. This makes a grand total of 44 items totalling £ 1023.83.
Letters and emails which were sent to Stardoll asking for an explanation were ignored. Both credit card companies have failed to establish what exactly the items were that were being paid for by them to Stardoll.
Stardoll were challenged to specify what had been supplied, again with no response. As far as we are concerned these charges do not correspond to anything we have bought and we certainly do not have anything to show for the huge outlay that is involved. We do not know how such massive amounts of money can be associated with a website for which membership only was required to be paid for and which specifically boasts that no other charges will be involved.
In summary: we have nothing to show for an outlay of over £1000 in a few weeks; we have no idea what was supposed to have been “purchased”. It is also quite clear that we are not the only ones to have been subjected to massive frauds by Stardoll. See the website http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/stardollcom-c106772.html. We would like to get our money back from these scandalous fraudsters and feel also that they should be widely exposed for what they are.

I am finding the same problem but my child never purchased anything on their site as my child does not have privy to my accounts. Somehow I have bank charges that I have never authorized.

I have been an extremely active member on Stardoll.com for almost 3 years now. I've always signed in daily as well as supported the website 100%. I've spent hundreds of dollars since joining on membership and their website currency. The website is built around a virtual world and my user (aka doll) lives a very lavish e-life.
I first started having problems with other users on the website. Sometimes it would be typical name calling, other times it would be people trying to get me deleted from the website; rather it be out of jealousy or because they had nothing better to do. The website used to run on a system where users would be deleted if they were reported a certain number of times in a certain time frame, because of this I was deleted 3 times but luckily, reactivated too. Each time I did not have to do much other than prove the staff wrong into why I was wrongly deleted. Since then I believe the staff actually takes the time to manually delete accounts but that still does not stop them from deleting them without proof to claims. I was severely punished because of lies and problems with the site, none of which I was ever guilty of.
Whenever I started to have problems with users, they first sent messages to them telling them to stop. This helped but as more users started to get around the ease of the website and hacking it, it became abuse and harassment. The more I asked the staff to take action and help me, primarily after people would send me death threats and tell me to [censored], the more I would be treated poorly. It was almost as if I was being punished for bothering them, by abiding by the rules and asking for help and blocking users instead of taking it into my own hands.
I began to handle the abuse better and learned that the staff was lazy and the website was one built around greed. Their idea was to get money the easiest way possible, which meant that because the website is mostly for children, they would easily take advantage of them. They will ignore users instead of helping them ultimately, making it easier on themselves; not their customers.
After the abuse, I seemed to get left alone more. But I still constantly was getting letters from the staff telling me to stop this or stop that, I was even once punished because of something someone told ME. This upset me a lot, and they did not even apologize. But this is when I started to have many technical problems.
Sometimes my user's home would not load, other times the clothing I bought for my user (aka doll) would not fit, it would change and sometimes it would just not be there in general. It would take weeks before a problem was fixed and even then, I was lucky if they did. What usually happened was they would ignore problems and just release something new as a diversion. Because of their tactics, I initially lost a lot of my clothes. They just disappeared out of the blue. I had to have even more moved to other accounts, making them useless to me.
When I first contacted them in regards to my clothing problems, they first said it was techincal issues they were fixing. I understood and waited. It was a while later and I contacted them again. I estimate about 2 weeks but am not entirely sure. They now said that the reason I was having trouble with my suite was because I had too much, this is when they offered to move half of my things I own (This is hundreds of dollars here in things I've bought) to another account. This would make it useless to me.
I said I would do this but only if I was given a compensation for my loss. I asked for 30 items of clothing of my choice for my doll to makeup for what I would loose. According to them the only way my suite would function right was if they moved half of my things, this was thousands of items. 30 would not slow down anything and it would be enough to make up for things I would not have access to.
I also explained to them thoroughly why I deserve this compensation. They then changed their story again, stating I was guilty of using a 'loophole' and instead of taking away the clothes in relation with this 'loophole' they would move my stuff to another account and let me keep all my clothes as a form of a compensation. Let me remind you that the only reason they bring up this loophole is because other users claimed I used it, and they did not have any proof. This is when it started to go down hill.
By this time 3/4 of everything I owned was already on another account and they were getting ready to take half of what i had left. I had to go back and forth with them for about a month and half arguing that I have the right to a compensation, which I did. They assumed that they could trick me into thinking I was not entitled to a compensation because I signed the agreement, which stated they did not have to give refunds.
I corrected them multiple times and initially they gave me 1 month membership to their site. This was not until I threatened to go to the BBB and file reports. I told them I did not accept it and did not use the membership. In my personal opinion, not only am I asking for a compensation for problems I was not warned about (not a refund) but I believe the contract I signed was voided the first time they remove half of what i owned to another account, making it useless to me. They had promised me I'd get these items back, but when contacted months later, they told me it was IMPOSSIBLE to move things back to other accounts.
I have spent many days and hours trying to get through to the CEO, Mattias Miksche, and he has simply ignored me and has not at all bothered to help. I have given up going through the website all together. I believe that i have given them many chances to help me and they have taken them all for granted.
Ultimately I have been ripped off by a website motivated by greed. They believe all the users are naive, therefore they can be easily taken advantage of. I am not the only person to have this happen to them either, and you would be surprised to know that there are many more unsatisfied customers who have been punished for things they have not done on this website and the ways they've been ripped off.

Me too! My account hanna6351 had 492 stardollars and I bought superstar for one month. Then I logged out. I logged in 20 minutes later and I LOST ALL MY STARDOLLARS EXCEPT ONE(PROBABLY AS A JOKE!)! i AM ABOUT TO QUIT STARDOLL! I sent them messages but they said I spent them. Recently I have been not able to play, because adds keep on popping up saying "call this number now! Your computer is in danger!" I called the number and its not in service though. Is anyone else having this issue?

umm i think in stardoll superstars and royalities get more . the shops containing dresses and other goods of stardollars often have new products every month.but the shops like wild candy and basics which have goods of starcoins have almost same dresses and products the entire year.and i would like to suggest u that u should have some random contests every month for the normal players not the royalities and superstars because the normal players hardly get any chance.so its better if you improve the services for the normal players and provide more variety of hairstyles, lips, eyes.eyebrow, nose and face structures to them.

They didn't ruin your hobby. They just simply complained of the bad service Stardoll had to offer them. So if you already quit playing Stardoll, it was your choice and I won't say anything against it.

I have been on Stardoll for about 3 years. I have had some issues, near the beginning of my membership, I never got responses to my questions/concerns. I started to believe no one even read them and they turned into all out rants I would send just to vent. HOWEVER, in the past couple years, Stardoll has been VERY good about responding, i had an issue where all my Dior would disappear if I saved it in my millionaires mansion. Stardoll was able to recover every dior item for me within a couple days of sending. I have even gotten legitimate responses to feedback I have sent. It may not have always been the answer I wanted to hear, but, It was an answer and a considerate one. I have gotten warning, only because I didn't really understand the trading / selling rule, I thought it was based on trading/selling items over 600sd, but, its trading or making any kind of private deal. I was terrified I would lose my account, but, stardoll took the time to explain what I had done that was wrong so I can protect myself. I think it's a really great company to deal with lately.
I dont know but I have been terminated from stardoll for what I have never done telling that I broke the terms of use.i am vrry honest that I have never done anything which would break my terms of use.i even messaged them that I had been hacked .as I was going through stardoll it has been since october . I always check my friend list each and everyday but since december I had got unexpected friend requests and mostly messages from unknown users.but even it was only 2 pages of friends list.all the friend requests have been spam friend requests I never knew that there was a way to block users since I newly joined .but on 27th december as I checked my friend list oh my god so many friends up to 5 pages thats when I got a guestbook comment saying I have sent spam request to a user by her hugs.and.kisses whom I never knew .thats when I got my doubt cleared that someone really hacked my account and was trying to delete me from stardoll out of jelousy.i knew I found some website also telling me not to add a user who uses spam friend request and used to send request everyday in a new different account .but after on the 28th I did not sign up to my account.and on 29th I was so shocked and very heartbroken out of tears when I knew I cant login to my account after going through alot I knew my account was deleted.and I can also get it back.but also I didnt know that stardoll was behind it and today 30th of december I knew when I went through my hotmail that stardoll just have put a wrong accusation on me saying I have broken my terms of uses in stardoll I am still trying and I have asked them for tommorow 31st december and to, d them by writing about what went on .this is a very sad that again I have to go through so much after my facebook account was lost I am just very helpless can you help me get back me into my account .its so many monthsbof hard work.
