My far-flung friends and I were happy to pay $129 a year for an ad-free, safe, albeit no frills place, to chat with one another when we subscribed in 2012, after years of chatting in increasingly discourteous public and not-so-private private forums. We missed a few bells and whistles, notably the ability to edit out typos and to post pictures, but it was worth it not to deal with very strange strangers or distracting ads.

But ...

It's virtually impossible to get help with the site. We have been locked out a few times, and are currently on Day Three of what appears to be a widespread lockout affecting other, public rooms, and we don't even know if the site operators are aware of the issue. Or if they went out of business without telling us.

Or...

Maybe they did tell us, via the email account used to begin the subscription, but that account was hijacked two years ago and Chatzy doesn't allow the account to change email addresses. Ever.

Update: 7-18-23: The admins of this site had a good idea. Too bad they do not have the competencies to implement it. Unreliable. Frequent outages. Last one all tor versions are being blocked by cloudfu--ckers.
You know them. They are the script kiddies than cannot find their as--ses in the dark with both hands and a flashlight. Every time they have an outage at this unreliable chat site, they have some lame excuse. So my advice is don't depend on anything from this site. Not dependability, not privacy. Why do "developers" put this crap on the net? Wasting peoples time beta testing their garbage and teaching them how to run a website?
I have NO commericial on interest conflick based solely on a few months using it or trying to use it. They claim it works with tor but half the time it doesn't.

Flaky site trying to track and id you via browser fingerprint. Works about half the time where you can actually enter the chat room you wasted your time creating. Another site run by wankers, probably a CIA honeypot to boot Don't count on entering your "private" room to get important messages as half the time you won't be able to. This has nothing to do with TOS violations, it's just another crap site run by nincompoops. Your room will disappear for no reason, you won't be able to get your messages because you get a bs message from the hackers that https is disallowed as is anti-scripting addons on your browser (we want to know WHO you are and WHERE you are) Good luck.

Chatzy only cares for revenue and does not like it when people rally together to demand the company represent their interests. Chatzy therefore limits the power of chat admins meaning trolls can easily access the site, and use them as scapegoats for the lack of tools that have been made available to them. Majority of users do not understand the difficulties admins have to go through and why everything is stacked against them. They only think for themselves. And because Chatzy is full of pedophiles and trolls, and some of them are even allowed to make rooms themselves, the decent chat admins need to be strict to protect their users.

The best example of such a case was Isaac who decided to salvage the therapy chat rooms, by organising people together to put Chatzy to task and get rid of all the predators that were using these rooms to prey on teenagers. Many hate blogs have been written about him by pedophiles and other haters who were annoyed that he banned them, and Chatzy also tried to destroy his rooms for trying to make user interests sync with the interests of room admins. This was despite the fact he was providing them even more revenue than previously, to demonstrate there is a better way even for Chatzy. People have used him as a scapegoat and the source of the problem, not understanding that he has to be strict to keep people safe. And thus he will go down as one of the most hated people on the site, despite being the only chat admin to this point who successfully united users together on a large-enough scale to demand that Chatzy improve the site with the money they are given.

This should deter future people who desire to be chat admins who think they can do a better job than those before them. They should be aware that Chatzy won't offer them support and only cares about money. That the chat admins risk being doxxed and vilified by ignorant users, who are protecting the very predators who aim to exploit them.
