I sign up for rent to own online
I sign up for rent to own online. I get nothing. I try to cancel for 4 months but can't find where to do it. They keep taking $70 from my card for nothing. Can't contact them. Scary to put money in that account.
This place got a manager who ain't professional at all
This place got a manager who ain't professional at all. She's been real rude to our son with disabilities and us (the ones who guarantee the rent). She keeps yelling and blaming our son for a leak. She even made him leave for a whole week to fix it. And when he came back early to drop off his cat, she yelled at him again. I already told the owners and I'm gonna complain to the property management company, ComplaintsBoard.com, and HUD. It ain't right to treat folks like this.
I was a tenant at Palo Verde
I was a tenant at Palo Verde. I left cuz of irresponsiveness, staffing issues, and lack of hot water. When I left, they charged me $2093 for "damages". One of which is a $1270 charge for plank replacement that wasn't mentioned during the walk through bc there was no damage to the planks. After great stress due to poor management and miscommunications, I'm now left with a bill that I gotta take to small claims court to resolve. I got a detailed description of my experience that's more than 2000 words. If anyone wants to read the in-depth explanation, hmu and I can give it to ya. I never caused the amount of damage they're claiming and have an excellent rental history. I'm devastated it's come to this point. So, I warn ya, don't rent at any property that Steadfast manages.
I gotta say, Steadfast Management Company Inc ain't worth a single star
I gotta say, Steadfast Management Company Inc ain't worth a single star. Been living in my apartment (***) for 3 years now and it's been nothing but trouble. Just four months in, I found leaks and mold all over the place. Maintenance guys said the leaks were coming from upstairs, but it's been months and nothing's been fixed. I've put in over 100 work orders and there's even lawsuits going on, but still nothing's been done. I can't even move out 'cause I lost my job. This place is unlivable and it's not right that I gotta pay so much for it. These apartments are straight up terrible. The maintenance team tries, but you can't just patch up years of neglect. They need to do some real work here. Knock down walls, redo the plumbing, the whole nine yards.
I moved to a new city 5 years ago
I moved to a new city 5 years ago. In September, I decided to move to a bigger unit because my lease was ending. They charged me a fee for the transfer, and I had to pay a deposit. They used that deposit to paint the unit, which wasn't my responsibility. In 2020, I documented property damage from soot in the vents. I complained for over a year, but was ignored. I tried contacting the leasing office to no avail. I paid my rent on time, but skipped the deposit. The next day, I received a notice for the unpaid amount, including a late fee, and was given 7 days to pay or face lease termination. The management needs to improve tenant relations and communication.
I been renting from this company for 3 years and never had problem until last year with covid
I been renting from this company for 3 years and never had problem until last year with covid. I lost my job and it took me some time to find a new one, so I was late on rent. Even though the rent was already expensive, this company kept charging me huge late fees despite everyone going through tough times. If I was late one day and couldn't pay until the next, they charged me $250 plus 15% each day after. I went to the Mayor and the leasing agent tried to make it seem like I was always late, but I owed nothing by the end of the month. I told the Mayor that this company profited off people's pain and did nothing to make it easier for tenants during the covid crisis. When I spoke with the leasing agent, she asked when my lease was up and said she had options. She didn't seem to care about my concerns. I received a letter saying they won't renew my lease in retaliation. This is something that will get out in the public about companies like these. Even if I was late, $500-$700 late charges were given during a pandemic. This place only cares about money. I would advise anyone to think twice about renting here because they have no compassion for the people that live there. 4 stars for the property, 0-1 star for management, except Dorothy, she is great!
Steadfast Management Company Inc ain't worth a penny
Steadfast Management Company Inc ain't worth a penny. The Steadfast Living property in Dunwoody, GA charges way too much for rent. They don't fix nothing and take forever to do maintenance. You can play in the parking lot and the place is always dirty. The community property is always broke and the pool is nasty. They raise rent every year and force you to renew your lease early or they'll jack up the rent by hundreds of dollars. I told them I was leaving in March cuz I can't afford the $2000+ rent for this dump, but now they wanna charge me a whole month's rent just cuz I wanna leave 2 weeks early. They don't care about us residents, they just want our money. They only painted the place in 4 years, no roof work or nothing. We didn't even have mailboxes for months and they blame us for the trash compactor being full of rodents and vultures. Don't waste your money on this place.
I wish I could give zero stars
I wish I could give zero stars. Don't believe what they say in the leasing office. They are racist and don't care about their customers. They show you a nice model, but when you move in, it's a disaster. I rented a premium view, top floor, high ceiling, "renovated" apartment. It was a joke. They charge more money for a place that aged badly and they only did the bare minimum to make it rentable. The previous tenant still had items in the apartment and it was dirty when I moved in. They postponed my move-in for two days to clean it up. When I finally moved in, the apartment was unclean, smelly, moldy, and had burned bulbs, broken doors, broken window frames, leaky windows, dripping water taps, and a broken toilet flush. The paint was bad too. I lived at the Landings for one year and it was the worst experience of my life. The apartment had holes in the walls, bad paint, cockroaches, old carpet with pet pee in it, and the building was falling apart with cracks all over the walls and an uneven floor. They charge you for pest control, but they never come. They also charge for garbage valet, but they are unreliable and come and go as they please. After months of complaining to maintenance and the leasing office, they only fixed minor things like chalking. They lied and claimed the carpet was replaced, but when I moved out, the maintenance came and said it was full of pet pee. They charged me for repainting the apartment, but I have pictures of the apartment before I moved in to prove their lies. Please be careful before you rent from them and don't trust the Landings with anything. It's all a lie.

Ive lived here since 2019
Ive lived here since 2019. When moved in I had white appliances and black was on back order. I was told I could get black I would have to wait. Ive been here 3 years still no replacement and they are now on stainless when. I asked can I be accommodated since I never received the new fridge or stove or microwave , I was told I would have to renew my lease which I already did and move into a new unit with and up charge on rent. Told them no to the unit and I wasnt to pay the same rent and that I dont even want the stainless I would take the black I was promised. They still trying to make me move into a new unit and charge more. I just dont like being lied to even though they change management.

Moved out of The *** on 10/19 I was notified in November that I would be receiving my deposit of $613 back and the check was cut on 11/08. Ive called to tell them I have not received the check, I have been to my local post office who also has not received anything for me, Ive called them numerous times and they say they will get back to me and they never have. Ive called since then and left voicemails and still have not heard back. Its been well over 60 days and I just want this resolved.
Hello, Apts is overcharging us significantly
Hello, Apts is overcharging us. I've been here for a year and my rent has increased from $1,250 to $1,377. I don't understand why rent rises each year with a new lease. It feels like we're paying a mortgage for a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment, yet we also cover water and sewer. We're not purchasing a property; it's just an apartment. Additionally, they mandated a $30 monthly fee for doorstep trash collection to the nearby dumpster. When I tried to decline this service, I was informed it wasn't optional. My satisfaction has declined. Urgent action is needed, or tenants may end up homeless due to these exorbitant costs.

at *** lakes improperly towed my car away and can't even take care of household problems that occur I've been asking for same maintenance problem but yet they can take my car for no reason this is a huge inconvenience for me and my family.
I called the front office about the lady who picked up the phone. She sat the phone down and wouldn't respond when I talked to her! So unprofessional! The manager said she would look into it, however, she was smiling the whole time, and it's not right! She won't do anything, and I want action taken for the way I was treated! When I walked in, no one was there! Everyone is always in the back eating! They rarely answer the phone. The only reason I got an answer today is because the manager was in the office! She is more unprofessional than the rest of them, and the whole team needs to be fired! You all are paying these people to just sit there and do no work! And if you come to them, they act so annoyed like they don't want to help! I have never received such unprofessional customer service in my life! All of them bully and treat the residents badly! When I pulled up to the office, a whole police officer was there because these people have been treating the residents like trash! Laughing at me and not correcting the employee who disrespected me on the phone because she is your friend is unprofessional and wrong! The manager and the staff are horrible to the residents! It's not just me, look at your ratings! I can bet top dollar this complaint will not be addressed as the past complaints were not addressed! If there is an issue with pest control or valet trash, they pass the responsibility on to them! Even though it's Steadfast Living I'm paying my money to! I haven't seen pest control in a while and pay for it once a month! Valet trash just started taking my trash after paying for it for months! These people are crooks and will take your money and not provide the services!
*** apartments denied me for an apartment after changing the quote I received after paying the application fees and deposit
apartments denied me for an apartment after changing the quote I received after paying the application fees and deposit. When I addressed the issue with them about the price change I was immediately denied. Once denied they have refused to answer my calls and talk to me about my deposit being refunded. After calling several times on 2/17 and being purposely ignored I was told my refund went out today 2/17. I have spoken to an consumer attorney who told me that the turnaround should have been much faster. I believe this is being done to me on purpose for filing a complaint about the bad customer service, and unethical service I received dealing with this apartment complex. I need a disposition from *** apartments explaining there deposit refund policies when a potential applicant is denied, and also an explanation of why the check for my deposit wasnt cut until 12/7 when I was denied two weeks ago.

I would like to talk with someone over Ridge Crossing Apartments its a emergency and need to be handled as quick as possible.
I've been a resident of Park Valley Since May . It has been a drag since the day I moved in, but for financial reasons, it was my best option. they care nothing about the residents, The staff is TRASH (corporate and local)they are lazy with maintenance requests, the pricing is TRASH, the gate is ALWAYS broken, the mailboxes are ALWAYS broken. Recently, we ILLEGALLY sat without mailboxes for 4 months. if i hadn't called and complained, there would have been no communication. Ive called local office over and over and never get a response. Ive called and emailed corporate; nothing. This apartment complex is out of control and functioning illegally.

I was living in a nondescript Apartment in an unnamed city from August till now
I was living in a nondescript Apartment in an unnamed city from August till now. I never missed a single payment. I renewed the contract in August with a roommate, Aliyou. No payments were missed. After the contract ended in June , Aliyou moved out and I found a new roommate. We started a new contract on July 1st. By the end of July, maintenance removed a wall in the apartment. The new roommate, upon seeing this, chose to rent a different unit in the same complex and left without releasing me from the contract. Now, I'm being asked to sign a new contract at $1235/month or pay month-to-month at $1800, a significant increase from the $624/month I was paying after splitting the rent. The complex is threatening eviction.

The property manager is rarely in the office if ever. Ive had other parties reach out to her for paperwork and they have to leave several voicemails as they do not return calls. They are dishonest to your face, they are negligent in responses and really just being at work. They leave signs on the door noting when they are to return, which they never do. They have maintenance workers answer the phones in the office to cover for them.
I reported mold in the unit on 6/9. Maintenance did not come until after I contacted emergency maintenance. Maintenance cleaned mold and did not do anything further. Ceiling began to leak again and mold returned. Maintenance put a hole ceiling to drain water and also put a hole wall where other mold was. The holes have yet to be fixed after contacting leasing office several times. There has been no urgency from complex. I currently have a hole behind toilet as the the picture shows below. There is insulation showing. Issue has been ongoing for several weeks with no updates from management. These are unsafe living conditions.
Hello, I vacated my apartment on May 16, after a year and 4.5 months of residency.
Hello, I vacated my apartment on May 16, after a year and 4.5 months. I had issues with an upstairs neighbor and unresolved management disputes. I complied with all requests for evidence of the noise. Post-move, on May 27, I signed a Roommate Add/Release Form, detaching me from the lease, and I have proof of this. The form has all necessary signatures. Yet, my Steadfast Living account still lists me as the primary resident. This error, if uncorrected, could lead to legal action for identity misrepresentation.

I was a happy resident of Villaggio Apartment homes for about 1 YEAR and 7 months
I was a happy resident of Villaggio Apartment homes for about 1 YEAR and 7 months .. On the day I was to be my last day 08/30. I was unable to arrange an inspection with the Manager due to the Leasing Agent telling me that she had death in the family. its VERY DISAPPOINTING because I've never had any issue with these Managers or the apartment Until I was lied on... One thing for sure I hate Liars,... The leasing Agent OFFERED me an invite to come back the next after I FINISH the clean up .. she stated She would Walk through the apartment with me and take pictures ... SHE never not once said this could not be done or she Never not once ask me to leave Any office... So that day my son was with me and we walk the apartment and he took pictures of the apartment while she video the walk through... The next day Monday I received an EMAIL FROM THE ASST MANAGER THAT WAS EXTREMELY RUDE SAYING THAT I REFUSED TO LEAVE THE OFFICE? AND THAT I INSISTED THE LEASING AGENT TAKE PICTURE ... THIS IS HIGHLY RUDE FOR A COMPANY REPRESENTIVE TO LIE... THIS LEAING AGENT EVEN OFFERED TO WRITE OUT A LETTER THAT SHE RECEIEVED ALL MY KEYS ,... IF I WAS SO RUDE AND DEMANDING .. WHY WASN'T THE POLICE CALLED .. I SPOKE WITH THIS AGENT TWO DAYS STRAIGHT BUT I WAS RUDE ... PLEASE I HATE WHEN SOMEONE LIE FOR NO REASON.
I applied for an apartment at a local complex in my city
I applied for an apartment at a local complex. I had a rate locked in at $1,020 for a 6-month lease. During the tour, an employee expressed surprise at the low rate, unsure how I secured it but confirmed it would be honored for 48 hours. I quickly paid $235 in application fees. However, after applying, the rate increased. I reached out and was assured it would be corrected. Shortly after, my application was denied by a manager, not the decision-making management company. I was promised a $150 processing fee refund but couldn't get a clear response on the denial. My attempts to contact management were initially ignored, and when they finally responded, I received no explanation, only the refund confirmation. My emails and messages went unanswered, and I was informed that the person responsible for refunds is rarely in the office, leaving me uncertain about when I would receive my money back.

In April, IRT Living informed residents of a new partnership with a specific insurance company for renter's insurance.
In April, IRT Living informed residents about a new renter's insurance offering through them. They requested those with third-party coverage to upload their proof of insurance into the resident portal. I complied on 4/30/22 but was still charged $14.00 for their coverage. After multiple assurances that the charge would be removed, I was charged again, totaling $28.00. Despite reassurances of a resolution, only a partial credit was applied, leaving a $20.53 balance. Further inquiries were ignored, prompting me to seek ComplaintsBoard.com assistance to remove the remaining balance.

Ok I applied for an apartment at a complex in a nearby city
Ok I applied for an apartment at a complex in a nearby city. I was looking for a first floor unit since I broke my back about two years ago and did not want any stairs. I had to add $279 non refundable fee for less than stellar credit. I had paid $50 for them to check the credit. There was much confusion about my Power of Attorney and cousin helping me since she is ten minutes away from the apartments and I was four hours round trip. I was in a tenuous and stressful personal relationship and was unable to really talk. So I was approved but I agreed to take a three bedroom that was $2700/month to get a first floor unit and then my cousin saw a list of several one bedroom apartments that were much more reasonable. I am retired and paying that much would have been an instant drain on my retirement funds. So after working as much as I could quietly I was told I had violated the 72 hour deadline to get all documents in. First time this was pointed out and is a ridiculous deadline. I had my files in storage but did get things in but continued to get rude emails. I had sent my cousin over to pay an admin fee but they would not take cash. Then after another rude email from them I said I was not going to be treated with such disrespect and told them to cancel my application. Then four times they sent me a move out document and said I still owed them $150.00 in move out fees. I pointed out they would not give me a unit or email a lease for me to sign so I did not move in so how could I have a move out fee? That is where we are. I do not see how they can charge a move out fee when I never moved in or was assigned a unit so how do I have a move out fee? Anyway to get extra money unfairly.

We paid our lease on time every month until the Pandemic happened
We paid our lease on time every month until the Pandemic happened. During this time my husband and I both lost our jobs. We notified the property immediately. They offered a payment plan and we accepted. During the conversation with one of the employees for Steadfast, she assured me that this is an unprecedented time for many and she understands the challenges we are facing. Even though the payment plan was set in place, she advised me that we can pay as little as $50 or whatever we were comfortable paying. The payment plan was set for April and May. I notified the company and made them aware that our status did not change. We were told they were not able to set up a payment plan for June. On numerous occasions, the company asked us to renew the lease at no additional rate increase. We declined. We had a family emergency in July which we had to go out of town. While away, the Asst. Mgr emailed me asking if we had moved out because they left 2 notices on our door and they were still there. I advised him that we did not move out and would not do so without letting the office know. When we arrived back in town 2 weeks later, the notices were still on the door. One notice was for what we were behind for and the other was for us to vacate the property and no future charges would be assessed, including cleaning, late fees, etc... I emailed both the Asst Mgr and the property Mgr advising them of taking this offer and asking that they give us more time due to the moveout date requested that we vacate the same weekend we came back from out of town. I also send another email asking why they didn't email me letting us know these available options as they email everything else. I received no correspondence. I notified the property and spoke with the Mgr and told her that we wanted to terminate the lease effective 7/30. The termination was granted, however, additional fees were assessed even after they told us they would not charge any.
