I had 3 problem areas that either needed maintenance or updating
I had 3 problem areas that either needed maintenance or updating. The worker came as scheduled and we went over the work in different areas. After reviewing what needed to be done, he went to his van to calculate the cost of the work. The company gave me two discounts because all of it was going to be done in one day. He was polite and respected the Co-vid protocols his company and my expectations required. He was informative and knew what he was doing. All the work was professionally done and he even cleaned up afterwards. He used hi-tech. equipment to help evaluate the problem. I was impressed. The cost was pricey but with the discount and the kind of work that was done, I was willing to pay that amount. As they say, you get what you pay for. I am a very satisfied customer.Joy Y

John was an excellent plumbing estimator
John was an excellent plumbing estimator. He was upfront and explained the re-routing of our hot and cold-water lines that leaked in more than one location under our concrete slab. He suggested we re-route the new water lines along the edge of our roof rather than running the pipes along the base of the walls for esthetic purposes. He scheduled the work for the plumbers to minimize disrupting our water usage. Mike, a fourth-generation plumber and his helper Tim worked flawlessly as a team. John answered any questions in simple terms without being condescending. Their workmanship is excellent, and I would recommend John's Plumbing to any of my friends. Their pride in their workmanship can also be attributed to the owners and support staff of John's Plumbing.

is the Best Technician for this company. He has also had other coworkers come with him to assist him and they too were great. Team work is what is important and the company should remember that(management). I only want *** to service my home if need be.
Plumbing is No ka oi! Very professional and thorough!
did a great job in all respects. *** the supervisor, was hands on in planning and overseeing the extensive work (new sewer line for several locations in our house and pipe lining for the main sewer to extend its service life). *** the plumber doing the work, was unfailingly courteous and meticulous. His assistant, *** was also hard working and courteous. Both *** and *** answered the many questions we had completely and thoroughly. The folks who did the digging and concrete work also did a good. We have no complaints. *** provided an excellent team that met our needs and we are glad to recommend them fully!
Steves Plumbing Service is by far one of the most efficient plumbing companies I have ever used
Steves Plumbing Service is by far one of the most efficient plumbing companies I have ever used. From presenting my plumbing problem online and being assisted by someone online to complete my work ticket, and within an hour, scheduling an appointment at my home the next day. *** made the assessment and found coupons to help with payment and provided a quote for my reconsideration. Within 3 hours, I was informed that a plumber was on his way to complete my job. *** was thorough and completed the job competently explaining the problem and cause of my plumbing leak.Every person I came in contact with were friendly and very helpful. It was awesome to meet these individuals who obviously demonstrated a love for their jobs and the people they serve. Would have no hesitation to highly recommend them for your plumbing needs! A breath of fresh air during these difficult times with the pandemic. Thank you very much!

was the best - professional & kind. Showed me the causes of the plumbing issues & explained the service estimates very well. Thanks for making me feel comfortable while I was anxious.
and *** were very helpful. They were very knowledgeable, friendly, and explained everything they did, and any thing that could be a problem in the future. I would welcome them back anytime that I would require a plumbing service.
As a first time homeowner, *** was very thorough and explained what needed to be done. I am pleased with his performance regarding my sink repairs. I recommend *** plumbing for anyone w/ plumbing problems.
Some of you may have received this colorful, pamphlet in your mailbox about a week ago. I made, what seems to have been a mistake, by calling and scheduling an appointment. The earliest time available was for today.I contacted this company last evening and spoke with someone who assured me that the technician would be coming this morning between 8am-10am. Furthermore, the representative I spoke with assured me that I would receive a courtesy call this morning when the technician was on the way.The courtesy call that came was from someone OBVIOUSLY reading from a script stating, and repeating several times, that the technician would not be arriving and that the appointment would have to be rescheduled.OK. So around noon? This afternoon? Evening? Nope. Perhaps next week on the 28th! Seriously!?Im not going to list the numerous, laughably bad business practices this highlights. There are more. From the manner of the representative, to the twice promised call from a manager, which of course never came. Please do not waste your time. This operation is a joke.

As a first time customer of Steve's Plumbing, and someone who also works in a service industry, I'm impressed. From my initial phone call, during the job, and the follow up call I received from the office, I was treated with kindness and patience. Rod was careful to adhere to Covid precautions, and he left the areas cleaner than when he arrived (I think he even disinfected it before he left). I appreciate that he took extra care not to frighten my curious new puppy with noises and movements. Pricing was explained *beforethe work was performed, and I was offered options from very affordable to "platinum". My home is 30+ years old, so naturally the plumbing is old. Rod solved the issue that I called about and also advised and repaired things that are going to help keep my water flowing efficiently and properly for years to come. I would definitely recommend Steve's Plumbing, and am an *** member for the next five years.

Steves plumbing & A/C was well worth every cent. The customer *** was excellent and the technicians were very knowledgeable, professional, and respectful. We will continue to use them for future problems/projects as well as recommend them to all of our friends and Ohana. Keep up the great work guys.
Excellent technicians - *** and *** G! Explained everything before starting service, sent reminders of appointments, chose excellent appliances to replace the originals installed. Stayed until I got back from work to explain the work done and the upcoming work for the next days. Friendly, kind, and professional. Great choice!
My utility sink faucet has been dripping literally for YEARS. It recently really started to drip so I decided to call the plumber. I knew I needed a professional. Maka was AWESOME. He completed the job so fast and we have a bright and shiny new faucet in our utility sink Thank you to everyone at Steves Plumbing! Even my husband told me they were GREAT! ?

THIS IS YOUR PLUMBER!
THIS IS YOUR PLUMBER! LET THEM BE YOUR "GO TO" FOR ALL YOUR PLUMBING NEEDS. Local people like to know who they're working with by word of mouth before going ahead and committing to repairs. Called Steve's Plumbing in the morning for an estimate with SAME DAY SERVICE! Chris dispatched the PROFESSIONAL and MOST KNOWLEDGABLE team (Lyle and Kyle) to provide an estimate. They were prompt, even arrived earlier than the appointed time, were friendly, and professional, and explained in detail my reasonable estimate to replace my aged leaking solar heater. After Kyle completed his assessment, I was astonished to hear when Lyle said parts are available and we can perform and complete the job that day! Audie and Tanner arrived in a marked clean company vehicle, looking very professional with their uniforms and company issued name tags, in a friendly trustworthy manner. They successfully completed a job well done. Very clean, very quiet, and very efficient.

Called Steves Plumbing around 9:30 on a Monday morning and Maka our dispatched plumber showed up by 1pm to review our problem. He was the last of 3 estimates we received. He explained in detail what we should do which addressed our main concern of not digging into our finished garage floor and custom cabinetry. With his explanation we decided to use *** services. He arrived the very next day after his estimate at 9am and was finished by 4pm. We had a leaky pipe in our foundation in a wall between our garage and storage closet. His work can best be described as surgical. Maka was able to cut into the concrete and wall with minimal intrusion and repair our faulty pipe. He also showed us where the leak was coming from the removed section of pipe which was his assumption in his estimate. He also allowed us to view the pipe and repairs from the inside with his special camera equipment. The repair was very clean and neat and he even added a section of the pipe that could be inspected in the future should a problem arise again and explained that it was also an entry point where they could fix a problem without removing portions of the concrete foundation again. My wife and I were very happy with the speed and quality of the repair and would highly recommend *** services with Steves Plumbing.

What a unprofessional mess!
What a unprofessional mess! Called them for their 99$ tuneup special. Guy comes out, looks around, then gives a quote for 600+ dollars without DOING anything! They get back in touch with us and agree that their ad is misleading, and said they would send someone else out asap to make it right. They did so, then magically our unit breaks completely the very next day! Coincidence? Highly doubt it! They come out again and the tech stands in front of our OPEN window talking down about us! He said we are "getting a bunch of stuff free because they called in to bi*** about service." So completely unprofessional and rude! The tech later tried to deny it but changed his story to "I was talking about someone else" when we let him know we had it recorded! He finished whatever it was that he did (not sure he did anything but talk bad about us!) and said our Freon was out and it would be *** per pound to fill. Comes back after to speaking on the phone with someone and says it will be 600 per pound and "at that rate I can get you into a new unit for around the same price." Absolutely ridiculous! Something isn't right here and I will NEVER use this slimy business again! I'm having someone else come look and reporting this to the ComplaintsBoard.com. No one should have to go through this. Sad that they probably get away with this because people become desperate in the heat!***Update: just had another company come take a look and they will have my system up and running for well under 1k when *** wanted to replace my whole system or charge me 600$ per pound of freon. Absolute SCAM ARTISTS! ***% reporting this to ComplaintsBoard.com. Unethical and just down right WRONG! If you're reading this, do yourself a favor and call literally ANYONE but them!

We hired Steve's Plumbing Service to install a gas range because they were the first to respond to an online request; however, 2 weeks after the project began, we now regret this decision. *** offers what I call "concierge pricing", meaning they do not itemize their fees but instead provide a single rate to encompass "Basic service" and terms suggesting more complicated projects. Basic service was about $858. The first technician determine that our gas valve needed to be changed to a more standard size; however, instead of informing me that the gas company could do it for around $125, he informed me that the project had become more complicated and thus, the price increased by about $400. We made the mistake of putting a deposit of 50% down on the project and thereafter learned that (1) the local gas company could change the valve much cheaper than *** and (2) three other licensed plumbing companies could finish the project (i.e. basic installation of gas range) for around $250-$300, MUCH less than *** basic rate. We then proceeded to discuss the project and try to renegotiate the rate with ***, and after communicating with 2 supervisors and 1 manager, the company declared that they would simply complete the project with the deposit we gave at the start, with no refund to yield a comparable rate to other local plumbing companies. If you are considering hiring *** for a service, be warned that :1) Their website states a promise that they "guarantee you'll be completely and totally satisfied", which is not true in our case.2) The website also claims they "have the best prices in town", which is clearly not true for us. Furthermore, since they are unable or unwilling to break down their pricing scheme, it is not clear whether they are providing a superior service compared to others or simply ripping people off (as we feel has happened to us). 3) Their website does not clearly share this info, but they apparently match or beat competitor bids/quotes, BUT ONLY FROM COMPANIES THAT THEY FEEL ARE SIMILAR IN SIZE TO *** 4) Finally, their contracts DO NOT specify a cancellation nor refund/reimbursement policy. Their technicians were friendly and qualified, but I would recommend virtually ANY other service provider based on their unclear and ridiculous pricing structure.

I am leaving a one-star rating mostly because it has been so difficult to talk to someone who can assist me directly in resolving a billing
I am leaving a one-star rating mostly because it has been so difficult to talk to someone who can assist me directly in resolving a billing issue which has been going on since May. I had a leak along the wall in my condo bathroom, and the plumber originally sent by Steve's Plumbing in May misdiagnosed the problem. Because it was late in the afternoon when he arrived, he said he'd come back the following morning to do the repair. The next morning, however, a different plumber arrived, who was originally going to go to the apartment next door due to a miscommunication from the plumber the day before. Once that was straightened out, the plumber worked in my unit, only to discover that the leak in my bathroom was due to a shower from a unit above mine which had tiles that were not grouted and waterproofed properly. When water splashed along the shower walls, the water was leaking through the tiles and down the wall into my bathroom below. This was determined to be a structural problem and not a plumbing issue. So no plumbing repair was done. The matter was referred to a restoration company. The original bill from Steve's for this work was $3,100. It listed plumbing repairs that were not done. It took more than a week to straighten this out and properly document what was the origin of the leak. That delayed my insurance company's response so I could get repairs done. The amended bill was $1,570.68 because I received a "Discount for not having to replace the drain section." This bill was dated May 22, the second day the plumber came to my apartment. I had not paid that bill yet because I was still waiting to see what my insurance would actually cover. Meanwhile, that bill was sent to the condo association this week, along with a second bill for $994.76 for what appears to be the additional cost of the first day the plumber came to my apartment. Bear in mind no actual plumbing repair was ever done. Also, the first plumber on that first day, May 21, misdiagnosed the problem. What drove me to write this review is that I have tried over the last two days to contact someone in the accounting department so I can discuss these bills with them. I called twice yesterday and talked to very nice receptionists who told me a supervisor or manager would call me back. No one did So I called again this morning, and was told that the supervisor who was supposed to call me back is not in today. I asked to talk to a manager. No one was reportedly available. I then called an alternate number for Steve's listed on the ComplaintsBoard.com website. Again, I talked to a very nice receptionist who told me I would get a call back... Still waiting. This issue would not have resulted in my filing a one star review on the ComplaintsBoard.com if someone at the business who could help me would have called back within a reasonable time period.

I'm in the process of renovating my bathroom
I'm in the process of renovating my bathroom. Everything in my bathroom is brand new. I had *** plumbing install my faucet in the bathroom on Saturday, November 27, 2022. *** was the installer. When I looked in my vanity cabinet I noticed it was leaking water and the water ruined the base of my vanity cabinet. I called *** plumbing to come and resolve the problem and I told them they would have to buy me a new vanity cabinet (which I paid someone else to install). They told me since I purchased the vanity on my own and didn't purchase from them, that they will not get me a new vanity cabinet that they ruined, due to their faulty installation. Please advise asap...P.S. I have pictures and a receipt but I don't know how to upload it on this document. I can send later if needed.

A representative from Steve's Plumbing called both my husband and me within five minutes of each other on September 15th, requesting payment of $1088 for work contracted by our Condo Association. I was at work and was blindsided as we were told that the Condo association would pay for the work. The work involved repairing a leaky water pipe in the interior of the building and also involved work for other neighbors. I have made two phone calls and sent two emails to them requesting a detailed invoice with pictures of the work done on my property so that I can delineate the charges from work done for the Condo Association and my other neighbors. We were informed by another neighbor that the sum quoted was for the entire job. They have not responded to my request for any information and have not been sent an invoice or any pictures. I would like to have this matter resolved so that neither my husband nor I will receive embarrassing debt collection calls in the future.

On 9/22, we called Steve's Plumbing to repair a leaking shower SPOUT
On 9/22, we called Steve's Plumbing to repair a leaking shower SPOUT. Two repairmen arrived, discussed charges of about required house call of about $50.00,and price for the job which totaled about $471.00 (they gave us a $50.00 discount and the total was $418.00). We agreed. They replaced the handles although that was not the problem. That night I could not turn on the hot water handle because it was so tight. The spout was still leaking. They returned the next day, changed the handles. Spout still leaking After some schedule changes, an older repairman arrived. We had to explain that the SPOUT was leaking and not the handles. He removed the spout and found a great big crack on the underneath of the spout. He did not have to cut through the wall. He could not replace a new spout so he told us to find a store and buy a spout that would fit. We did and replaced the spout for less than $20.00.We asked for a refund or adjustment since they did not fix the leaking spout. Many calls to Steve's to resolve this problem goes unanswered, although they said they will get back to us. I have no other recourse but to file this complaint.

My wife and I received plumbing services at our home yesterday, 5/25/2022
My wife and I received plumbing services at our home yesterday, 5/25/2022. I am not complaining about the plumbing work, which was professional, but about the membership that was upsold during the visit. My wife was the one at home to sign the invoices for the service and the club membership. She was told the service cost would be $16.00 per month, but the plumber did not disclose the 60-day minimum charge for the membership. This was in the signed agreement, but my wife is dyslexic and relies on verbal disclosures, which included the option to "cancel at any time". We found another plumber and don't need the membership. We're not asking to reverse the first month's charge, just to stop future $16.00 charges. The invoice was $220.89, but our card was charged $224.89. Please correct this.

On 21 July , a plumber came to my **** to repair a drip in both kitchen faucet and master bathroom commode
On 21 July , a plumber came to my *** to repair a drip in both kitchen faucet and master bathroom commode. Drip in commode bowl. Plumber replaced contents of commode tank, to include three bolts at bottom of tank. A few days later, I noticed that my solid bamboo flooring was coming up, buckling from my bedroom floor, which is next to the master bathroom. At the same time, water was noted from the wall next to bedroom and bathroom. I called Steve's Plumbing to have someone come out. A second plumber came out, dropped some dye into the tank and determined that first plumber neglected to tighten bolts in tank and water consistently dripped out for days, ruining my new flooring and half the walls in my bathroom. The dye ran out of the tank at the bolts and went in two different directions, aimed at two walls, which then seeped into my bedroom and my new flooring. I helped him tighten the bolts, so I know they were loose. Within a few days, a contractor for Steve's Plumbing came by to dry the floors and walls (moisture/mold) and then tore out my drywall in bathroom and large ceiling square in my living room downstairs. Since that time, on 17 August, a member of the contract company came out to do a damage estimate. I have not seen it yet to this date. Steve's Plumbing seems to be nothing but lip service, first the employee supervisor and now the Customer Service Rep handling the case. They tell me by phone they are going to handle it and take care of me. Nothing in writing but a text from supervisor that they will take care of things. My own homeowners insurance company came out early on to do a damage assessment and is willing to handle the claim but I feel I should not have to pay for the negligence caused by Steve's Plumbing employee. A glitch in the process is that the flooring to be replaced is no longer shipped to Hawaii. *** purchase and install. My flooring stretches in one continuous and seamless fashion throughout three bedrooms, closets and hallway landing. I found that I can purchase the product online and ship to my son in Tennessee and then he can ship to me. Steve's Plumbing told me to hold off on that for some reason. If I order this and have it shipped, I feel that Steve's Plumbing should pay the costs. It is not my fault that my *** is in disarray. It was a negligent act on the part of Steve's Plumbing employee. I am a 65 year old senior and now since late July my bedroom and bathroom are a mess and nothing has been done to correct and repair the damages. There are trip and fall hazards as my furniture is now up against my bed due to the broken and damaged flooring. When I ask to speak with a manager or owner of the company I am not given any information. Only the Customer Service Rep, who is often not available for speaking over the phone. I am at my wits end. I mentioned to the Supervisor by phone last week that I am stressed out and feel very anxious about this whole matter. He asked me if I drink whiskey. I said no. I would have a glass of wine sometimes. He told me to go have a glass of wine and relax. My patience has worn thin. I have tried to be as nice as I could, trying to understand. I wish these folks could place themselves in my shoes for one time so they would know how it feels to be shunned, shut down and kind of like "I wish she would go away" kind of feeling. My conversation with the damage estimate inspector from the contract company last Monday - he said he was turning in his report at that time and it would be forwarded to Steve's Plumbing. At this point in time I am going to be filing with my own insurance company but expect that Steve's Plumbing should be paying for these damages. It should not have to come at my expense. My only crime? Calling Steve's Plumbing Service when I had plumbing issues. No more. I even signed up for special year long customer discount when plumber first came out. Now I wish I hadn't. I feel that Steve's Plumbing Service would rather I disappear from the radar. That is the reason for my complaint. It has been since 21 July that I first had service and to this date, no reconstruction of the damages has been done. I don't know where to turn. I talked to the Customer Service Rep last Thursday. She could give me no information other than she needed to talk to the Operations Manager. She said she would get back to me Friday or no later than Monday. I have heard nothing since. I am the one always doing the calling. I've tried calling every day or other day just to let them know I am still around and my house is a mess. I just want my *** back to the way it is supposed to be. To this date, 31 August , there has been no written plan in place to fix my home. No schedule for repairs, no plan for my flooring (even though I have done the leg work on how to obtain flooring planks) and nothing in writing from Steve's Plumbing Service to acknowledge what needs to be done and when/how it will be done. I am left in the dark, groping for answers.
