I purchased the StoneDine cookware. At first I was extremely satisfied. However, in using the cookware in my everyday cooking, I began noticing that the coating inside the cookware started to fade off. I used plastic or wooden utitensils in order to have them last as long as possible. I began noticing that the cooking was not evenly distributed and most of the heat on the bottom of the cookware (the stainless steel area) began to turn black and the outside of the pans began to retain grease and burn into the sides. I found myself having to scrub the bottom of the pans and sides vigorously and still could not keep them new in appearance. Another thing I started noticing was that my cooktop on my stove began having a film cooked into the glass top that would not come off...hence ruining my glass cookstove top! I returned all the pots and pans (I paid the expensive postage) and StoneDine sent me another complete set. After about 3 months the same thing started happening. I wrote the StoneDine.Com rep and she said she had to forward my emails to "corporate" singe this had been my second contact with them. I have since sent 3 more emails with no one responding. I will never purchase this product again, nor would I suggest anyone purchase it.

The goal in selling these information products is to make quick money. It's not to make a good product. Always read reviews then wait until it reaches the stores. That way you can try it and return it with out any hassle. Remember it the product was that good it would not be that cheap.

The goal of these informercial products is to make quick money not a good product. The trick is to wait until it comes to the stores then test it out. If it doesn't work you have no hassle returning it.

i am so glad that I read the above listed comments... honestly, I was happy to watch the TV advertisement show... it looked sounded SO good!, almost did not listen to my "inner"warning: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is... well, I had 3 bad internet orders... Lumiess-AIR was the worst... TV show stated $ 29.95 for a airbrush set... my husband ordered it for my birthday... 3 weeks tooooo late it appeared, but 3 days after he placed the order the company took $42.90 and an additional $69.95 out our bank- account... I tried the airbrush set and it was [censored]... so I had to call their customer service department to receive a return authorization (RA) number from then! it took me 16 calls to actually receive the RA # and they told me that I still owe 5 more payments of $69.95... WHAT!?..needless to say I mailed it back the same day, still waiting to receive the $42.90 and $69.95... still waiting... do not order from TV shows... a concerned customer and anti- internet/TV show believer.

Anytime a commercial ad will not post the cost on the commercial, then that is a 'red flag warning" to not buy this crap. I looked up their site and these pans are not only cheap, but dollar-store cheap pans that have been overly glorified to try and make profits off the fools that buy them.

Buy your pans in your local shops so you can touch and feel the quality of them, and always ;look for the Made in USA logo on the packaging.

Thankyou for this site and everyones comment I too was thinking of buying a set .. but after researching the net .. all brands of this so called non stick pots/pans eg stonedine/flavourstone/ Scanpan/ circulon etc...seem to have the same problems after a short time of use .. So guess the best findings was the cast iron ones ..though they can be heavy .. So I guess I will stick to my stainless steel pans .. and dream of someone coming up with a life long non stick pans ...:)

I purchased a full set. I was very happy the first week. Cooking on a gas stove, making heavy graveys, fried eggs, grits, after a week, Well I could have done better at a garage sale, or maybe goodwill store I am sure any thrift shop. A week later I had to use oil more than I would have with cask iron. Going back to good old cask iron. I don't care if it's to heavy once seasoned it works. And better favor.

I have been in the television commercial business for 30 years and I will state without hesitation that television station owners, managers and news-people are mostly the ### of the earth. Seriously...I've met hundreds of these people in my 30 years of video production and all I feel is ashamed to have been a part of that industry. I have abandoned all contact with television stations for two years and am happier than I ever was producing commercials.
Now for the warning to America:
Quit buying things advertised on television. I mean everything. Automobiles included. If a product is advertised on television you are paying a 20% fee to cover the television advertising without even knowing it. Always look at Internet reviews by actual buyers of products. You will get valuable tips as to why a product is good or why it is junk.

what they tell you in their t.v. commercial is that the pans are magnetized to distribute the heat better...
BS... heat is a magnets enemy, it will destroy any magnet.
research their points with your own experiments, besides, thats a proven scientific fact.

I am SO glad I read all these posts before ordering the Stonedine set! I would be willing to pay $300 (in payments) for a set as good as these looked in the infomercials since I love to cook, but, like most of you, I can't afford a $300 mistake!
Thank you all for the information!

For all those in Australia please lodge a complaint with the ACCC, as it is unlawful to not advertise the full price of goods for sale (eg you cant say $xxx and then when the consumer signs up say oh there is also a management fee as well ) so if the infomercials don't give full price they should be fined / banned

Thank you all for your honest feedback. I was skeptical because of the "simulated" testing during the commercial. I don't intend to purchase the StoneDine cookware. Previously, I tried the Orgeenic ceramic pan which easily scratched within weeks even after very careful treatment. I do not want to make another mistake. Thanks again!

I was browsing the internet to buy another set as a gift and stumbled on this site.

I've got to say I'm really surprised by the negative comments although people only tend to post when they have a problem. My 8 piece Stonedine set has been used daily for the last 9 months and I'm still really happy with it. I do however take care of my things. I know of several families that put pots and pans in the dishwasher even when the manufacturer says not to but do it anyway to save time. Or they use far too high temperatures when many modern pots & pans have much better heat transfer and don't need the high heat.

Many people these days have become so used to disposable products that they feel they can abuse anything, throw it away and then complain, saying it's not a good product. My parents were raised during the great depression and learned to take care of their things. I'm taking care of my Stonedine and it's working out just great.

My girlfriend purchased this set and it is nothing more than Chinese junk! Poor quality at best, it does not perform as advertised. The exterior discolors badly with repeated use and even after being seasoned as directed it is not totally nonstick. My cousin is an head chef at a major restaurant, I asked him to try the product. He did and his verdict, send it back and dispute the charges. My girlfriend did just that and her bank reversed all charges. She also told them that if they wanted their crap back they would have to send her a prepaid mailing label. If you need good cookware shop American or European, don't buy anything made in China. Cast Iron or good quality stainless/copper work much better. For the person who wanted a wok get a traditional hand hammered one from an Asian store.

I am amazed at all this negativity from Australians, and to a lesser degree the Americans (who seem to follow like sheep) but with Aussies that don't do more research about products sold on TV.
The brand StoneDine in Australia is sold by "BrandDevelopers" and is the name used for the original brand "StoneLine" from Europe.
I have bought several products through BrandDevelopers and found their Customer Service to be very, very good. The infomercial clearly states the reasons for Non Stick products being changed (by law) away from Teflon type coatings because of the way Teflon is affecting the health of people and can be found in the body years later. The argument that Stone is a coating and as such can come off over time is correct as any coating on any product will deteriorate over time. The small particles of stone are to prevent food from sticking but are bonded to the surface with an unknown bonding agent, and its the quality of this agent that is causing this complaint, not the company that sells the final pots and pans.
Someone either here or on another board complained about the stone being tiny bits, but can anyone imagine the cost to machine a solid piece of stone to fit a saucepan.
Please get with it people and make your own decisions to buy or not buy this product based on your own individual research and not from one or two people upset by their own experience of the product or their dealings with the customer service of the company they dealt with.
Use your brain and ask if you can purchase just one pan to test for yourself, and for Aussies remember that in Australia you are protected by the False Advertising Act if a product dose not do what it is advertised to do.

My wife and I were about to order, however after reading all the negative reviews on the Stonedine compliant board we decided not to buy. Someone said this product was manufactured in China. That alone is reason not to purchase. We have purchased other products made in China and they have been poor quality. When a manufacturer begins changing names every few years there is obviously a reason behind the name changing and that reason isn’t for providing a well made product.
Thanks for the reviews.

We purchased the set back in Dec 2012 and we are DISGUSTED! The large pan is not even used that much, and it is covered in scratches. We use ONLY the utensils recommended and have washed the pan exactly as stated. POOR QUALITY! DON'T BUY THIS!

My husband and I saw the stonedine ad on tv and were very impressed with the product. We called the phone number on the screen to get info on the price and how big the set is. We got a "HUSTLER" on the line who would not tell us what the price was but kept telling us what we will receive as bonuses and how marvelous the product was. We decided not to continue with the conversation but he would not let us go, asking us where we would like the merchandise to be shipped. WE finaly tolf him that we were not interested and that we will hang the phone up. As soon as we hung up he called back to say that we were disconnected and where we would like the merchandise to be shipped. My husband told him that if he called again we will press charges for harassment. I do not understand how a company like this one stays in business after all these complaints.

All the complaints I read concerning replacements let me think of distributors who sell goods made in China. Most of the chinese producers only sell after receiving an order. Usually these orders will be paid in advance via L/C or T/T meaning the customer has to finance the shipment in advance. In order to save freight costs you have to take at least a 20 or even a 40 ft container depending on the weight or volume...

I guess they have to finance at least 50 k USD for a shipment in advance. Production time including arrival in the US will be approx. 10 to 12 weeks.

In most of the cases replacements of spare parts are something where chinese corporations don't care. You have paid in advance for a very cheap price. In most of the cases customers have to disassemble the products by themselves in order to fulfil service.

The complaints written here tell me that there is a corporation who is facing all the difficulties with asian business without having the money to stock the goods and finance shipments or replacements. Making money the fast way doesn't work with China.

You have to be in a good financial situationand you have to know what you do.
Obviously Stone Dine doesn't...

I have used Pyrex glass cookware whenever possible. It is essentially chemically inert . No nasties are going to leach out of the container under any conditions. of course do not use lead crystal glass under any circumstances for food preparation.
Cleaning up after a sticky burnt roast or baked pasta dish is easy .
Fill up with tap water and a teaspoon of caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) place in oven close door as a safety precaution protect your kids and pets.
After a few hours you will find the toughest of baked on residuals can simply be rinsed away and cleaned with a paper towel. This is a low energy non toxic solution to this problem.

i was thinking about ordering a set for my significan other but reading people's nightmare problems, i changed my mind. there are a lot of good pans that has been on the market that has been proven good so i think we will stay with them. she loves to use cast iron as her mother and her mother did. food tastes great in a cast iron skillet and the skillet will last forever if you keep them seasoned well.

Fantastic reviews thank you everybody. I was about to order the set as have seen the ads in Oz so many times and they look so great and the long warranty seemed too good to be true. Great that you've all taken the time to detail your individual situations so from the poor service end to the bad performance reviews, you have definitely helped me make up my mind - well done ladies!

As a young mum I cook meals everyday on a daily basis and most of the meals are made for my child as she now at the age where she can eat the same things as I do. I lately for the past few weeks have been watching the commercials on the Stone Dine and those those other cookware commercials. It looked and sounded so fantastic as it is something you can cook foods fat free without having any harsh chemicals going into my body as well as my child's body as she doesn't need to have any unnecessary fats and harsh chemicals in her body so I thought as a responsible parent thought this would be a good cookware to use to cook healthy meals for my child. So I have been going on the web, did some researching, looking at some reviews and to see if they have a price on the website on how much they are going to cost as the commercial never shown the price on the TV. I also call there customer service number to get info on the price and more details about the Stone Dine but didn't get there answer I was looking for nor never got told what the price was, so I hung up and research on the Stone Dine some more. It was only until today I came upon the other reviews of the Stone Dine and the other cookware products being shown on TV. I can say I am glad that after reading all of your negative comments that I was glad my gut instinct was 100% and never chose to and never will order any of those ever. I am happy to stick with my tiny little stainless steel cookware with less fat, easy to clean and no harsh chemicals in them, oh and as well as never breaks/falls apart. Thanks for saving me money and from getting con!

I love my stone dine. We use them daily and my chef husband just loves this set. So much so we are sending a set to our son. The only problem we have encountered is that the handles become loose and need to be retightened. We have had our set for over 2 years and no signs of flaking.

When I see so many negative comments on a product, it immediately negates any positive comments as they have probably been posted by staff associated with the company selling the product anyway.

I have just phoned the Stone Dine number to get a price because their ad does not show it. The person who answered said all the lines were busy and asked for my name and contact number as they would call me back. I refused this request and said I would call again but she said it would not be any different which indicates to me the lines are not busy, they just want your information. I said all I wanted was the price but she did not have it. This is a very strong warning to anyone who is contemplating purchasing this product...DON'T! To show such a very long advertisement and repeat the same things over and over again and yet leave out the most important information viewers need to make an informed choice is tantamount to false advertising. If this company was selling a product that was genuinely as good as they say they would not have to hide behind this screen of secrecy. Beware of buying a pig in a poke!

Wow...Great stuff and power to the people...You guys all saved me and after this I have made a mental note to always return here to check before I buy as well as Posting my own findings...The question remains...How is it that there is no control over such deceptive and down right criminal operations? At the end of the day this is theft in it's most cunning of methods. Is there no measurement of quality control with such aspects of deceptive advertising? As consumers and honest law abiding citizens we deserve better, afterall, is this not why we pay our taxes to the businesses/governance to establish fundamental laws that are to serve and protect our countries best interest?
