I went to Sunrise Ford and asked to purchase an extended warranty for our 2017 Explorer
I went to Sunrise Ford and asked to purchase an extended warranty for our 2017 Explorer. I specifically requested a warranty that could be used at other dealerships and would extend our existing warranty. The salesperson assured me that this was what I was getting, with a $200 deductible. However, when we needed to use the warranty out of state, the dealer refused to accept it, calling it a "crappy aftermarket" warranty. I paid for a $200 deductible, only to discover that it didn't fully cover parts, labor, or the deductible itself. When I brought this up to Sunrise, their response was simply, "Well, you signed the contract!" I didn't receive what I asked for or what I was told I would get. It's a complete sham! Beware!
Be careful when buying from Sunrise Ford Co!
Be careful when buying from Sunrise Ford Co.! We had our car checked by a local mechanic we trust, and he said that the dealer had to do the repair.
We took the car and the mechanic's diagnosis to the dealership and asked them to do the recommended repair. But instead, they replaced some other parts and gave us back the car with the same problem.
As soon as we left the parking lot, we noticed that the steering wheel was still loose and shaky. It was clear that they didn't even test drive it after making the repairs we didn't ask for. They then checked the car again and realized that our mechanic was right. Finally, they did the repairs we originally wanted.
The crazy thing is that they wouldn't give us the car until we paid for their wrong diagnosis and unnecessary parts replacement.
Sunrise Ford Co
Sunrise Ford Co. is absolutely terrible! It's unbelievable how they can provide such awful service. I called them in June because I was having similar issues with my car's transmission. They told me they only have one transmission technician, so I scheduled an appointment for August 1, 2022. Turns out, it was a warranty job because they had to replace the torque converter, which is not normal. I left messages for three days before finally speaking to an assigned advisor on August 4, 2022, who confirmed the issue. However, my advisor couldn't give me an estimate of when my car would be fixed. They said it could take weeks or even a few months. They also warned me that if I use my car and something goes wrong, it won't be covered under warranty. Since they couldn't tell me when the part would arrive, I requested a loaner car. I'm a single mother with a full-time job and two young children, so having a car is an absolute necessity for me. I left messages for my advisor, the manager, and the general manager, but I didn't receive any responses regarding the loaner car. On August 16, 2022, I took a day off from work and went to the dealership in person. They told me I don't qualify for a loaner car, which is ridiculous considering they didn't do the job properly last year and can't provide any more information about the part. Renting a car for weeks or months is not something I can afford! My car is still at the dealership, and I'm still trying to figure out what to do. Nobody knows any details, and even if you manage to hear back from them, they won't be able to help. I will definitely warn my coworkers in the medical field about this business so that nobody else gets stuck in this situation!

One customer, Ted Evans, had a terrible experience with the service department. He had his f150 towed in for warranty work on January 25th, 2022. However, as of today, March 3rd, 2022, the work has not even begun. Ted claims that Sunrise Ford has been waiting for approval from Ford to proceed with the warranty work. He contacted Ford customer care to inquire about the delay and was informed that Sunrise Ford had not submitted the necessary digital imaging for approval. Ford contacted Sunrise in February to inform them about the required documents, but as of today, Sunrise still has not submitted the images.
When Ted spoke with management at Sunrise, he received various excuses as to why the work had not started. However, he later discovered that Sunrise Ford was not submitting the required documents for approval, as confirmed by Ford themselves. Ted advises others to stay away from Sunrise Ford's service department for any vehicle work. He has even reached out to attorneys to explore his options for getting his truck back fully repaired in a timely manner and to understand the repercussions for Sunrise Ford.
It is important to note that Ted's review highlights a significant issue with Sunrise Ford's service department. He has been without his vehicle for 37 days, and no progress has been made. This raises concerns about the dealership's efficiency and accountability. Ted promises to provide updates on the situation. If he could, he would give Sunrise Ford zero stars, as he feels that no one is taking responsibility for returning his vehicle after such a long delay with no work done yet.
Sunrise Ford doesn't care about customer satisfaction, only about making money
Sunrise Ford doesn't care about customer satisfaction, only about making money. They lied to me about when my truck would be ready, knowing they couldn't deliver. They took the insurance money and then told me the parts were suddenly on back order. But I'm not like other customers who just accept it. I called them often for updates, and one time they made a mistake and said they had a similar truck that had been waiting for the same part since April. Keep in mind, it's now June and they originally said my truck would be done by mid-June. So it's clear they knew the part wouldn't be available, but they still gave me a date to keep me waiting. The last time I talked to them about the completion date, they said the parts would be in by early to mid-August and that the parts manufacturer does this all the time. They claim the parts are in stock, but then on the delivery day, they suddenly say they're not (obviously, this is a lie from Sunrise Ford). This means they planned on getting the parts and finishing my truck all in one day. They were also supposed to inspect the truck for warranty work, but it never even made it to the service department for that. I filed a complaint with someone who claimed to be a higher-up, but when she called me back, she gave me the same nonsense as the collision guy. The collision guy's "manager" blamed it on his guy "making an assumption," which is ridiculous. I told him that's not even close to a believable answer, but at this point, I don't care anymore and will take care of the repairs somewhere else. They're incompetent, and they deserve all the 1-star reviews they have! Oh, and they also didn't buy the right hitch. Since they couldn't find one similar to the one on my truck, they just decided anything would do. It's like they're amateurs.
I bought a truck from Sunrise Ford in Fort Pierce on March 5th
I bought a truck from Sunrise Ford in Fort Pierce on March 5th. That same night, my family and I left on a 3-day vacation to Orlando. The next morning, when I started the truck, I noticed a misfire, maybe a bad spark plug or coil. On the same day, the back window fell out and hit my daughter in the head, leaving her with a bump. Instead of waiting until I got back, I called Ford right away and told them about the window and the issue with the truck. They said they could fix the window in a couple of weeks. When we brought it in, they fixed the window and said everything was fine after putting it on the machine. Their mechanic said what I was feeling was "normal." Two weeks later, I called them again because the issue with the truck was getting worse. I brought the truck in again, and they told me the same thing. I didn't know what to do.
I called them a third time, but nobody called me back. They completely avoided me every time I tried to call about it. Three weeks ago, while driving, the truck felt so bad that I pulled into Firestone, which was nearby. The manager put it on their machine and told me that the truck had thrown a code for a cylinder 4 misfire three times. The codes had been cleared from the history three times. I called Ford and told them what I knew. They had seen and cleared the codes three times, and I wanted to discuss what we could do about it.
Three weeks later, they put the truck on a machine and confirmed that there was a cylinder 4 misfire, which meant a blown engine. They didn't deny or confirm clearing the code. However, they made it clear that they didn't want any issues and were willing to cover half the cost, which they said was $8800. I agreed to cover half, and the manager told me to call Ford corporate to see if they would cover the other half. When I called Ford, they informed me that they had already spoken to the other manager and told him that the issue fell on him and his business.
About six days later, I went back to Ford to see if Ford corporate would cover the other half. Since the news of the blown engine, my business came to a standstill, and I still have a $722.00 payment on a truck I can't use. They didn't provide me with a truck rental as promised. During my second visit, I was in the office with three managers, trying to write everything down so I wouldn't forget anything. They mentioned that it would take five weeks for the engine to come in. I had come in that day to tell them that we needed to fix the truck one way or another. I agreed to cover my half for now but advised the managers that I would continue to fight for them to cover all of it. I felt like they had not only lied to me but also tried to cover it up.
While we were there, one manager suddenly said, "You want to know what the deal is off the table? We're not doing anything!" I reminded him that they had promised to cover half and fix it at Ford. He said to the other manager, "We can't have any liability passed September 30th." Those were his exact words because they were selling the place and didn't want any liability. They went back on their word. They were going to do it at Ford, but now it's become an issue. I can't find an engine anywhere for it, and Ford is the only one that can find one.
During the meeting with the three managers, one of them spoke up and made me aware that they didn't do a pre-inspection on the truck before I bought it. They sold it to me without doing a certified pre-check on the truck. They told me that the truck previously belonged to the superintendent of Palm Beach Schools and that it was super clean with no issues. Looking back, I realize they didn't do the certified pre-check on the truck until after they sold it to me. The codes being cleared three times clearly indicates that they cleared it during the first check, after I bought it, and the other two times I brought it in. They lied to me and didn't advise me of any engine issues when it clearly showed up in the codes.
After they went back on their word and refused to do what they promised, they spoke to their general manager, Elton Wetterlund, on the phone. They came back and said that the manager was willing to offer a "Goodwill gesture of $5,000 towards the repair of the engine." They wanted to wash their hands of the situation because they couldn't have any liability past September 30th, even though they promised to fix the issue. They were very rude to me, and I was shocked by Sunrise Ford's behavior. My family has been going there for their trucks for a long time, and I bought my first used vehicle there. It's clear that closing their deal on September 30th was more important to them than dealing with a customer they lied to and covered up. My life, my family's life, and my business are all on hold right now. My fiancé and I started this business from scratch and have been struggling to keep it. I went to a dealership to buy a good used vehicle that was certified, so I wouldn't have to worry about breaking down or not being able to take care of my clients. I wanted to look good and drive around safely with my family. The only issue with the truck is the engine, and it's obvious that it's their responsibility. At this point, I would be happy if they would bring it into Ford and fix it like they promised, even if I have to cover half. But I don't believe I should have to. I hope you can help me with this issue.

In September, I brought my car to Sunrise Ford Co
In September, I brought my car to Sunrise Ford Co. to have it fixed and checked out. It's still under warranty, but not directly through them. It's actually an extended warranty. Unfortunately, it seems that the company was sold, and most of the employees quit due to mistreatment. This has caused some issues with my warranty coverage. The price doubled, and now the warranty company won't cover the repairs. As a result, my truck is still sitting there, not getting fixed. It's been like this for a while, and it's causing me financial problems. I rely on my truck for work, and I'm still making payments on it. Not having it is really hurting me. I really hope they can do the work soon and give me my truck back. If not, I would appreciate it if they could at least release the vehicle so I can take it somewhere else to get it fixed. Right now, it's in pieces at their location, and I can't seem to get any help from them at all.
I went to Sunrise Ford Co
I went to Sunrise Ford Co. to get a few recall issues done on my F150. After explaining to the service advisor what was going on, he informed me that my recall issue would be addressed, and that they would do it for free. During our conversation, I gave him the mileage on the vehicle, showed him a video of the issue, and he agreed that the issue was really serious. The dealership was really good about getting me on the schedule to do my truck, but when the job got scheduled, the service manager got involved. He told me that the job would no longer be free, and they quoted me $3,000 for the repair. This is very upsetting to me, the fact that I had a 10-minute conversation with the service advisor and he repeatedly told me the service would be free, and then the manager requotes me. I believe that it is the dealer's responsibility to uphold their initial quote.
