Metal building
I ordered a metal building from TNT Carports at the beginning of March, 2021. I was told 6-8 weeks for delivery and installation. They were given a $2000 deposit. My check cleared on March 5th. Covid hit and TNT was given a bye for a few months. Fall of 2021 arrives with no delivery or scheduled date. Spring of 2022, I was told my building would be delivered sometime soon. In July, I was told that I had not provided the color option(a lie). A week later, I was told my building was on a truck. I called several times for the rest of the summer and into the fall of 2022. As recently as October, I was promised that the install would be before winter. It did not happen.
Enter spring of 2023. NONE of their phone numbers will connect. I have filed with the BBB and the NC Department of Justice - Consumer Complaint Division.
I want the building soon or a full refund of my deposit. It has been almost 26 months!
Desired outcome: delivery or refund - soon
I want my carport as soon as possible. It has been 3 winters now
My husband ordered me a carport from TNT carports in September 2020. To this date I still do not have my carport. I talked to them all summer long and they told me they were working on getting done. My next door neighbor ordered one a couple of months after we did, Their carport got installed a couple of weeks ago. I called and asked them what was going on. They told me they would call me when they were going to install it. I calleI them on Friday and asked the question again. I was told the installer department was closed down until spring. I asked the women when I was going to get mine done. I was told not sure. It will be 3 years since it was ordered if I get it than. I do not want a refund, I want my carport. The price has gone up so they would love to have me cancel it. they have h ad my deposit for this long. The company is TNT Carports, phone number is [protected]. They also have a web site. What can I do now?
12x21 carport
I purchased a carport on 5/5/2021 and put ten percent down. Sixteen months later still no carport. The staff are rude and liars. Now they try to get me to cancel so they can keep my deposit. Because I demanded a date this month or my deposit back. I made it clear to Ashley on 8/29/22 I am not canceling my order. I then contacted the individual whom I...

waiting over a year and still no door
I have been waiting for over a year for my shop door and I get the same answer "we will call you 3 days in advance" after well over a year I asked for a refund and was told they don't give refunds even though they didn't do anything. they are extremely rude and unprofessional. SHAME ON YOU GUYS
Desired outcome: deliver my door
Carport
Ordered a carport on June 30th 2021. Was told by Steve Hawks that I would get the carport in Vermont by the fall as I explicitly told him it was for alpacas. Started calling in early October. No response at all. I have made well over 20 calls to the Vermont scheduler over a 3 week period. Emailed the installation supervisor who ignored me. Made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. They accepted my complaint but nothing from TNT. Salesperson will not help me and says he has nothing to do with installation. Stephanie the installation supervisor finally answers my call and assures my that I would hear back by the middle of the following week. I left her several more messages after that time frame went by. No calls back. I finally reached her and expressed my frustration and she acted like I had only contacted them a week prior. I even left a voice mail for the vice president of the company. Stephanie eventually stated that I could not get my carport until May. I have attempted to reach out to many other people in the company. No response or acknowledgement. Stephanie emailed my son that my order is cancelled. What does that mean. I want a refund of my deposit. No one will communicate with me.
Desired outcome: I want a refund of my deposit
Carport
Placed carport order last summer and gave $500 deposit. Installation was not schedule for nine months after repeated calls. Sales person asked me to cancel the order for full refund which I followed up. I was promised full refund in two months. After two months and no return calls I involved bbb and company promised I will get refund in two months. After two months I involved bbb and now bbb gave up as well. I a writing as many reviews for now and will follow up with small claim court next. Intention is to get my deposit back and let other folks know about this fraud company.
Desired outcome: getting my complete deposit back
attaching my contract, in case anybody is interested ... i can use help getting my money back
attaching the contract in case tnt want to know more ...

Read full review of T-N-T CarportsEnclosing existing carport originally installed by tnt carports!
Contracted with TNT carports on 10/13/2020 to enclose carport that they had originally installed! Was asked for deposit and given a four week time frame! While this time period was quoted during Covid pandemic, after four week period was up began using this as excuse! After having to finally contact North Carolina BBB, TNT after just one week shy of four months, called to schedule job. Was promised crew would call at least thirty minutes prior to arrival. Crew showed up unannounced! On site less than ten minutes and stated they could not complete job! This was on January 5, 2021! Today being January 12, 2021 and still no response from TNT! Feel that this is no way for a company to treat its customers!
Desired outcome: Just want my $238 deposit returned and have nothing further to do with this company or any of the numerous umbrella companies it does business under!
Carport
Ordered the first week of May, was told it would be 6-8 weeks. (On hold, the computer voice said it would be 2-4 weeks, but when ordering, they said that was only for local orders). I had heard online and from a friend that it would be longer than that, but since I ordered so early in the year, maybe it wouldn't be that bad. After several phone calls (with rude reps) I ended up getting an installation appointment the 3 week of October. 24 weeks later. 24 WEEKS later, lol. They changed the installation appointment 6 times over the course of 10 days.
They couldn't provide the right size of the carporter
My brother has bought carporter from Tnt Carports in the beginning of August. He got the wrong size and returned it on the next day. But it was August, 10th and after this date my brother heard nothing from the seller. The company misled the rep and told that he needed to wait and haven’t provided any details. They didn’t communicate and it made the problem even more difficult. Please, be careful with them and better don’t waste your money, time etc.
Still waiting
Ordered one TNT Carport through www.carports.com on August 28, 2014. On that day, I was told 2 to 8 weeks waiting time. It has been 13 weeks, and no carport. After numerous phone calls over the past two weeks, sometimes being put on hold forever, sometimes being disconnected, sometimes talking to Daniela in scheduling who told me many times she would call back and never did, I finally got a hold of a supervisor on Friday Dec. 5, complained profusely, and, miracle! I got a delivery date for this morning 7 a.m. Monday December 8. No one showed. I called again, was put on hold, called again, the line was disconnected, called again, left a message at the NY scheduling office, called again, and I finally got a hold of Daniela who said the installing crew could not come because it had rained on Saturday where they were supposed to load the carport! She added she will call back ( I have heard this from her many times before, she never calls back). I heard so many weather excuses over the past 2 weeks, this one is only the cherry on top. I am tired of spending hours on the phone, holding, getting disconnected, getting no response, just the eternal runaround. I will turn to the BBB to complain. Think of how many people are losing workdays just waiting for these people!
Do not buy from TNT, and stay away from carports.com as well! (they were no help at all); you will lose time and money, and gain only frustration.

I have been waiting and waiting. It's two months and all I get is I'll call went we are in area. We paid 10% down and were told they would call and put up our carport at our convenience. Now it seems it is at they're convenience. I want a carport or my money back. Bad business practice.
Installation
We purchased a building from TNT Carports on 1/30/2013. TNT carports scheduled installation of building on 2/13/12. The building was installed except for the roll up door. Then installors stated they did not bring hangers to install the door and would return in 2 weeks to install door. They never showed up. Contacted TNT carports and rescheduled installation of door on 4 times. Each time reassured that installors would show but never did. Today, 4/8/13 in the am, still no one knows why the door has not been installed. Customer service rep explained this time that she would have to contact a manager to get a refund. And it is no surprise that we have still heard nothing from TNT Carport. A roll up door that is laying on the ground does no one any good. TNT carport has received there money and I have still not received what I payed for.

Poor install-customer service
We placed an order in Novemeber for a carport to be enclsoed as a garage. It took 6 weeks for them to schedule installation-on THEIR schedule, not mine. They were to be there on Friday at 07, showed at 5 pm on a Friday, asked for balance to be paid in cash, not check to company as previously agreed. They completed the job the next day; only to realize that the building is not level (legs are adjustable for the 3 inches of height needed on the back corner) even after they went rummaging through our personal areas to find wood scraps to use as shims. When we called them back to correct, it took another 5 months and they again showed at 5 pm when they were to be there at 07. Told my husband they can't fix it, and to F*** off! The building now leaks because the roof is warped due to being off-square and forced panels. We called and told them we dont' want it and to come get it. Again, we are told they will be there on Friday morning; put my life on hold for htem to show on Saturday at 10 am. I had re-scheduled appointments from Friday and told them they had 1 hour to take it down without leaving a mess. They said, "Oh well" and left! TNT is in NC and uses contractors (who speak little to no English) across the nation. The installers get paid no matter what and TNT doesn't realize or care that the installers bad attitude and poor workmanship is a reflection on the company itself. Steer clear and use a reputable company!

I too am still waiting...I ordered mine on MAy 8th and also paid 10%...They were informed at the time of purchase that I need a permit to install and agreed to call a week out to give me time to get the permit...After numerous calls and emails with no response, they just show up one morning with no notice...I sent them away because I had no permit...They rescheduled with only one day to get the permit. So I got the permit and now they cancelled twice on me...This is the worst company I have EVER dealt with...And then I filed a complaint with the BBB and got no action from them either even though they have 86 complaints filed against them...
Poor service
I purchaced a 20 x 21 carport in Bowling Green Mo about a week and a half ago. I was led to believe that the carport would be installed within a couple of weeks, because they had other installations in the area. I called North Carolina where the business is based and left messages to be called about an installation date. The phone number was provided by the seller, Auto Dynamics. I never got a return call and finally today I was able to talk to the lady who is in charge of scheduling and was told that they could not tell me when they would be in the state installing these carports, I was told the installers are from Iowa by the seller. I was also told by the seller that they had other carports in the area to be installed. The lady I talked with name Ceila said there had been no sales in this area other than mine. I cancelled my order and was told there are NO REFUND! Beware buying anything from this company. I would recommend that you shop elsewhere, I got burned for $108.51 and have no hope of recovering this deposit.

Still waiting
The TNT customer service department only knows conflict avoidance and shirks their responsibility to lower line staff--particularly schedulers. TNT is fast becoming a very disreputable company that cannot follow-through on their customer commitments because they are totally dependent and at the mercy of the installers with whom they subcontract. These subcontractors are unwilling to work in cold weather and typically have convenient breakdowns. If TNT thinks that this system will not hurt their business in the long run, and perhaps even in the near term, then they are kidding themselves. Hire experienced drivers to deliver to all climates, and employ regional installers who are not afraid of the elements! I am on my third cancellation, and have been given the breakdown excuse and inclement weather for travel, though no roads were closed and commerce seemed to be moving fine. Further, friends/neighbors/family all cannot believe the poor service of TNT. Word-of-mouth is really picking up to not buy from TNT, which will in turn cause sellers to find other companies that will not damage their images in their sales areas. Also, I think this company is ripe for a governmental review save just Better Business Bureau complaints. Consumers deserve the best service delivery and customer support--both of which are severely lacking at this company. An investigation is needed into fraudulent advertising and the so called no refund policy as mentioned in other complaints.
As the complaints board site will not allow me to edit my complaint, I am using comments to update this complaint. TNT has now come through and installed the structure. I can say this: the installers were efficient and the building is asthetically pleasing to the eye. It also appears stucturally sound. It did take numerous rescedules to finally get them on site, so I believe this company should still take a good look at their process for transportation and installation. At the end of the day, we finally have our building and it appears that quality is not an issue.
I signed a contract and put down a deposit in September, 2015. Scheduling delivery was quite easy. Structure delivered and assembled on time. However, two support struts were not placed and no structural anchors were placed. I didn't realize this until the inspector would not pass the building. The inspector also pointed out that the blue prints require a minimum of 12 inches between the corner and the roll-up doors. I called TNT 3 times before I was able to actually speak to a person (the scheduler). Of course, she couldn't resolve the issues, however, she did get Tommy on the phone. We talked about the issues, and he agreed that these would be fairly simple to resolve (add the two missing struts, add some anchoring pieces, and get the structural engineer to sign off on a modified blue print showing that 8" minimum is required). Tommy indicated that he would call back that afternoon to follow up with me. Now we are two weeks after that, and my voicemail messages are generating no responses. I have started e-mailing Tommy and Estephanie, and that finally got a response from Tommy today (Friday, the 4th of March, 2016) that stated he was in discussions with Dr Omar about this. I responded within two minutes of receiving his e-mail, but of course, I got no further responses. So now I sit here with a sizable investment ($12k+ between the concrete pad and garage) that I cannot use because it won't pass inspection and a company that will not even take 5 minutes to blow sunshine up my skirt, let alone solve these simple issues. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS CLOWN-SHOES OPERATION !
4 weeks waiting for them to contact and resolve this. Should have been installed on 45 degree angles. Meanwhile my travel trailer and ropes anchored to it are keeping it upright!
Kim is the most pathetic excuse for a public relations person ever. Paid in full in July 2015 for a job to be completed in six to eight weeks. No communications. I had to call repeatedly to try to figure out what was (not) happening. Then, on 09/14/15 I received a collection notice from Tri-Adjustments Inc. out of Wisconsin. They have stolen $2600 then had the audacity to report me to collections. I'm suing. That's it.
We ordered a garage that cost near $8000. We figured paying cash would inspire good customer service. Not so. First we had several appointments for installation. One installer came the day before schedule and was intoxicated as he told us to put in 3 more feet of gravel. A second installer told us that that the site was level. The final installer worked three days on what we were told would be a one day job. While watching the installation we observed the building shift from it's position as one helper released a belt too soon and was confronted by the installer. This shift moved the garage from being flushed to one side of the house. They couldn't fix it back so they filled it in with patches. Having paid one half of the cost we continuously requested to have it properly fitted. The installer said he was losing money fooling with this job and he would prefer to take it down. No one from TNT would even come to look at the area we had issue with after many calls. They argued with my husband a few times but would never come to see the building. I am holding the final payment in the bank until someone will at least come to take a look.
Blatant Fraud, Fraud with Impunity
Signed contracts, deposit of $1295. 2 Years ago.
Nothing since, no emails, no phone calls, my calls end up with "Robot Calls".
Provided documents to U.S. Postal Inspector..."we'll put it in the system" That was a year ago.
Documents to NC Atty General Fraud Unit...No yesponse. Year ago.
Pleaded with TNT as a disabled 72 year old, a $1295 loss was catastrophic. NADA.
Please, Please help. me. Has anyone gotten through to them ?
Hwelp
I have a complaint as well on this company their employees are a joke the girls that run the Scheduling dept are Rude, Nasty, I Talk to a Scheduling Dept. Manager Name Stephanie Monroy she was very Rude Cussing me Telling me that I was not going to get my Carport any time soon and if I fool with her I want get it at all and I want get my money back or my carport, I told her I would and she told me to go to hell and hung the phone up on me. I try to call back and got a Nickie and she was Rude to telling me I need to talk to Stephanie or the GM, well I tried to call him and left him a voicemail and still no call. I don't know who own this sorry company but they need to get rid of these to people either that are close this place down, There are Better Carport Places out there then TNT Carports in Mount Airy NC
I also must testify the horrible facts about Tnt carports in NC.
As a scammed customer please do trust these people.
They will scam you also.
Agree. I ordered a carport end of last summer and was told by the sale agent at Carports.com that the carport would be installed in 3 to 5 weeks. I sent several emails and made several phone calls only to receive nothing but lip service until finally after more than 3 months they informed me that due to the arrival of winter weather, they would be unable to install the carport and issued a refund, so now I have several valuable antique cars under car covers and buried in the snow that should be in a carport right now. At this point I will stick build a wood frame structure myself in the spring. I will never do business with T n T again.
No accountability on their part to resolve a one year old bill. Their billing department is worthless. One year after install should I be responsible for there lack of billing. No. They would not work with me on the bill. Its there fault, not mine. I will in the future go else where for my cover needs. Will I tell a friend about this company, hell yes I will, DO NOT USE TNT. CHEAP ###.
Worst company ever. We ordered material and were assured we could get it, Probably 3 to 5 weeks. After 6 weeks were told 4 to 6 weeks. After that couldn't even get an answer to phone calls or emails. Gabriel Otalaza the Sales Rep for Al is a poor excuse for a sales rep. After 4 months and after speaking with Aggie who assured me several times we would be receiving the following week Gabriel tells me they are too busy and they will be refunding my deposit. That was after speaking with the sales manager on Aug 4th and today is Aug 19th and still no refund. Hard to believe a company could have that many incompetent people.
Never delivered
Contracted May 25, 2010 for installation of a carport. Conditions of sale were with in 60 days. Gave 10 per cent deposit. I called many times for a schedule of installation always handed to a different person, none of which gave a damn. After 60 days no carport was delivered, I canceled the order, and asked for a refund of deposit. No refund, and no return calls. I finally spoke to a salesman who said their policy is no refunds. So they don't deliver product and think they can say no refunds. If you seek a carport look elsewhere.
I had a very similar experience. Purchased in March of 2021 and four months later no building. Called and they started yelling at me that they did not have an installer in my area and were not going to argue with me about it. Do not use this company...horrible.
I ordered a carport in feb 13, its now july 5.got a call on june 20 saying guys would be there on Friday, got a call on Thursday and was told bad weather was coming and they had to re schedule, for the next Monday, needless to say I stayed home from work guess what... no show. called and left messages again guess what... no return call.called last week talked to a girl and was told she is fixing the previous bimbos screw ups and told me I would be put high priority status and she would call me right back and would be compensated for 2 days lost wages guess what still waiting called today july 5 2013 they are closed until the 8th.how can they need a vacation when no one works .they all should be fired and shut the doors!. I have 5 rentals does anyone know where I can find a reliable company?
.I ordered mine on MAy 8th and also paid 10%...They were informed at the time of purchase that I need a permit to install and agreed to call a week out to give me time to get the permit...After numerous calls and emails with no response, they just show up one morning with no notice...I sent them away because I had no permit...They rescheduled with only one day to get the permit. I too are having problems. Customer service stinks! Had 2 appointments to get the carport installed and they never showed up. I live 100 miles from the install site. After waiting all day Monday (8 AM Appointment) TNT carports calls and says the installers truck broke down. She said it will have to be rescheduled. She calls Wednesday and says it will be installed at 2 PM Friday. After waiting all day at the site I drove 100 miles home. The installer calls at 8 PM and says his truck broke down. He says he wants to install Saturday. He says he'll call back in 90 mins. I'm waiting. Can't call customer service because they don't answer the phone and never return calls. It's a pain waiting all day at the site and holding my cell phone wondering what's going on. Sick twisted uncaring ###! Stay away from these people!
