Hello, I was recently contacted by Tenet Health to apply for a data entry specialist position, a remote job. Even though I didn’t have a summary of the position nor any idea of the job duties and responsibilities.
I recently started job searching as I’m ready to move on from my current position, so I agreed to contact the hiring manager, and he proceeded to tell me the briefing and interview were part of the same process. Cold turkey.
I asked for a briefing before the interview process in order to know if I’m the right fit for the company and he proceeded to ask me to answer yes or no. This was a red flag immediately but I amused the idea by making a comment about how I need to know if the job fits my skill set and so I would pass on a pop quiz interview. Wished him a good day.
He came back at me and said (I quote): It's actually a 28.25/ hour job but we only hire obedient and polite people who doesn't think the world revolves around them.
All because I asked for a summary or briefing before wasting their time with an interview. So, don’t work with companies like this. Know your worth and walk away from toxic places like this.
