Regarding your latest Decision to start excepting empties during this COVID-19 pandemic I feel this is very reckless of The Beer Store. This is terrible 🤯😱 all for the mighty buck. To hell with the risk it could impose on the employee or all who is in that environment let alone who they then come in contact with or go home too. I heard they are supposed to give them personal protective equipment to handle the bottles 🤯 But they can't even supply the hospital, I doubt they will get anything ! Even with glasses and gloves, They will still get [censored] on their clothes, face and down their arms! The reg safety goggle won't prevent all sprays or drops from the empties- which does happen. Also, employees would need to wear gloves to do empties. Then take them off and sanitize to use POS then put on the same dirty gloves and continue working? Prior to recent events, drive-thru stop taking customers reusable cups but you're taking back empties? Not all stores are set up the same in terms of layout either. This is totally unacceptable You should be ashamed! Putting your employees in danger VERY DISAPPOINTED I am behalf of everybody I truly hope you retract your decision immediately

the store i mentioned above has been very poor on ordering the busch brand beer for over 6 weeks . Today July 8th 2018 at about 1:00 pm. I went to the store to buy Sapporo 24 cans of beer. The back was extremely disorganized and I could not find my beer. I could not find anyone n the floor to help. I was not aware of the policy not to step at the back to ask an employee nor did I saw a sign stating not to. Anyway, I kinda knew it is not regular but i took one step into the back trying to ask for direction. there were two employees chatting so I asked loudly if some one can help. Out of no where a lady shouted very rudely at me to step out and go for the cashier then followed by more shouting that there is a sign stating that on the outside followed bu rudely stating that this is for my safety because of the machines. I was stunt. Although she was right and was stating policy. The way she conducted herself was very aggressive. After all I was not a child neither non of the forklifts were close to me. I tried to point to her that being aggressive is not a way to deal with customers. being assertive and polite is sufficient. She repeated what she said more loudly. Anyway I went to the cashier and asked for help, which she did very politely. Then I wanted to file a complaints for the behavior of the lady at the back. There was no procedure for that but she said that there are no managers on Sunday and asked me to tell her and she will relay the message. I started telling my story when the fellow that was earlier chatting at the back interrupted and started shouting, then the girl from the back joined in and did the same. At this point I felt very frustrated and lost my cool and shouted back. Then she said I am done being at the store. I left and now I am writing to you.
I know clearly I am not totally blameless but I certainly did not deserve to be treated this way. Employees should be trained to be more tactful in implementing policies. And not to gang against a customer even if they were implementing valid policies.

I received a gift card for $25.00 for the Beer Store on November 19, 2017 and had forgotten about it and never used it until Saturday, April 21, 2018. When I tried to use it at The Beer Store in Dorchester, ON, the cashier said it was declined and had a $0.00 balance. She tried it again and again it was declined. Another employee then checked the card on the computer and showed me a print-out where it had been used on December 29, 2017 at 08:14:38pm at location 2318-Symington/DuPont, which the employee said is in Toronto. We were not in Toronto on this date and have no idea where this location is. The gift card number is [protected] [protected]. Photos enclosed.
Please advise where I go from here or how to get the $25.00.

bottle returns/the beer store 960 brookdale ave cornwall, on
I visited the beer store on Brookdale Avenue in cornwall at noon today when it opened. I normally return my bottles/cans on a bi-weekly basis to this store. I was doing a friend a favor by returning a large quantity of bottles/cans today, approx. $70 worth.
When I arrived at the store there were 2 female employees working and I told them that I had a truckload of empties and what should I do. They advised me to grab a cart and bring them in that way with no other comments.
As I started to bring in the empties I had cart-by-cart (4 trips) I received comments each time even though I let those who were only buying go ahead of me and I got back into the line and waited my turn each time.
When bringing the 1st cart of empties in, I dropped 4 cases and bottles broke so I asked for a broom and dust pan and cleaned the mess.
Comments:
1st of all I had put the cases on the rollers the wrong way
2nd cans have to be returned in plastic bags not the cases they came in...although they did not mention this to any of the other customers in the store
3rd if you have that many cases you should have called ahead of time and gave us a heads up
4th Sunday is not a good day to bring so many empties in so I asked if they wanted me to take the balance and go to another beer store location and although they said "no" they continued to comment.
When I had finished and the 2nd employee had began to give me the rules again I said "whoa, I've heard every lecture you could give me today" and the 1st employee piped up and said "no you haven't" and I just said enough.
I as an assistant controller do not have the luxury of asking my customers, fellow employees etc to come back another day because I'm too busy or "it's not a good day", I think this would cause us to lose money/customers as this will you.
customer service was very disappointing
On 23rd of August 2017, at approximately 18.55 hours I went to return some empty beer bottles to the store in Ajax (Address: 75 Kingston Rd E, Ajax, ON L1S 7J4), the customer service I received was very disappointing.
First f all there were two female cashiers were at the register and none of them were interested in serving me, they were having their or conversation.
However I managed to get the attention of one female cashier, and she was stated pretending that she didn't understand what I was inquiring about and gave the impression that my English was an issue for her.
After that she had look at my empties and pass it on to another male cashier.
All over apart from the male cashier the rest of the staff reflected a worse service.
I am very disappointed with the customer service I received today and I will not be attending to that store any more.
negligent and racist employee
I was delivering my empty beer bottles at this location at around 5 minutes until closing on wednesday, february 10, 2016, when all of a sudden this rude employee literally jumps out of nowhere and stands in front of my shopping cart and says "we're closed!".
I then told the employee that it was 8:55 p.m. And he should still serve me as they close at 9:00 p. M. But he then said this racist remark; "do you speak english? We're closed bud!"
I then ignored this rude gesture and then begin to pack up and leave but he then out of nowhere said "can you please leave now?!? Or I will call the cops on you, bud!" (I was just about to leave but I guess this guy is impatient).
So I ignored this employee's racist remarks and came back the next day in the morning and to my disbelief, it was the same guy at the returns department collecting my bottles.
This conniving employee then tried to rip me off by giving me a dollar less than I was supposed to receive for my bottles.
So the next day after, I came in to speak to the managers about this outrage, and to my shock, said that they couldn't do anything about it as all the employees at the beer store are all unionized.
This employee is a white male, with an overweight build and is about 5 feet and 9 inches tall and has a van [censored]/goatee style beard and moustache with brownish/blackish hair and wears a cap. He also has no audible accent and is of possible mediterranean or british or irish descent.
Do not go to this beer store if you want to be treated with rude customer service and with racist remarks as well as management not caring about your issues let alone them being negligent with their employees.
