i got a house built in 1947 it had single pane windows.contacted them about siding and window replacement.est.came on time,time frame for work done on time,got phonecalls weekly on updates.very pleased with them.numerous people said how good everything looks.

The sub contractor that did the job was very efficient in his work. The plans he laid out for the job gave me a very stable and efficient deck that I think will last quite awhile. Hopefully the materials will last for a long time. The sub was easy to work with.

Disgusting customer service! This is not a home improvement company, it is a money racket with the absolute worst customer service! Just a small example of the situation... They were going to charge $4,000 to put a door where there is currently a window and disconnecting a duplex that is currently where the door will go... I bought the door for $400 and have a licensed and bonded carpenter that is completing the project for $350. Saved $3,250 dollars! Do not get sucked in by them taking payments. IT IS NOT WORTH IT! I had to pay for the permit and 10% to get them not to do the project which was a deck which they never started! $952 dollars for them not to do anything! I signed the contract [protected], was told on [protected] they were waiting on lag bolts. There are at least 22 boxes of various lag bolts at you local or big box retail store for pick up on any day. Nothing but scam artists!

The guys from Carolina Improvements were very helpful on our roof decision. The took the time to tell us what we had and what we needed. The installers did an excellent job and clean as they took off the old roof. The new roof is beautiful and we're happy with it and feel as we made a good investment in our home.

The projects came out very good with a slow start.
We contracted The Improvement Store to have new gutters and two story deck with stamped concrete underneath. We signed in late March , they didn't finish until January 2022. The gutters were installed within a month with no issues. We were happy with the gutters. The deck wasn't started until October. One person built the deck with no ladder. The craftsmanship was poor. We had to call several times about issues with the deck installation. Inspection failed twice by the county. The railing on the deck was installed poorly, we still are finding issues. I don't think the individuals ever installed this type of railing. Screws and nails left everywhere; wood offcuts left all over the property. Knee braces were poorly installed. Miter cuts are uneven. We eventually just let them go, we were frustrated in dealing with the people in the office and the installers causing more work. We would not recommend this company.
Very satisfied with entire process from quote to installation and clean up. Very professional but not cold. I would recommend Carolina Home Improvements to anyone and plan on getting quotes for future projects.

In January 2022 I paid this company over $14k to build a storage building. It is now July 2022 and not a single shovel of dirt has yet been dug despite numerous promised deadlines. When contacting John at the company he promises to return calls but very seldom does. I am concerned that the money I paid them has been spent on other projects.
Everyone is so professional and caring. They made sure we knew what was going and finished in a timely manner. Thank you so much. Most of all thank you Mark you really took care of us.
We were very much satisfied with our reroofing project from Carolina Improvements and met our high expectations. The work force, sales and office staff were professional. The price of the job was also excellent.
Joaquin and his crew including Orlando arrived bright and early to replace our roof, a roof that had been poorly installed only 10 years ago. Joaquin squatted at the edge of the roof and--holding out a handful of rotted crumbling wood--showed me what had taken place under the poorly installed shingles. The sad truth is that there would be no way to recoup from the previous roofers since they were no longer in business. This alone would have been enough to make me feel good about Carolina Improvements since it is a stable company, having been in business for a long time. I feel confident that, should I have a problem, they would be here . Joaquin and his crew worked diligently and were friendly. Joaquin patiently answered all questions I had .When they were finished, the crew left the yard cleaner than they found it,:) We especially appreciate Mark, the Installation Manager, who was with us and guided us through the process in a friendly, yet professional manner. We will definitely consider Carolina Improvements should we need any other work done and we will highly recommend them to our friends and family.

My husband and I signed a contract with Aqua on 3-18-22 to pay for a new fence
My husband and I signed a contract with Aqua on 3-18-22 to pay for a new fence. We were assured it would be a smooth process. At first everyone was vey nice now its May 5th and the contractor cannot put the fence up and they do not know how they will get anyone to do it. I have almost 5,000 dollars worth of lumbar and concrete killing my grass in the yard with weeds growing up all around it, and moved the fence in for my dogs per the request of the company on 4/22/22 and now my dogs which are over 100 pounds a piece have been pooping in a yard so small a inmates prison cell is bigger. We live in the city so they cannot run free. The fence is temporary wire that will not even hold them if they figure out they can push it over. I wish the communication was better. When you are in a contract for over $9,000.00 and someone tells you the man who is building the fence will not respond that threw up red flags for me but too late. If they can chnage this and get someone here like tomorrow I will chnage my review. But I am being honest

We were very happy with the contractors who actually did the metal roof installation once the materials finally did arrive. My wife and I are in our 80's and I am homebound. My wife and disabled daughter take care of the home maintenance. What we are disappointed with is Improvements' business practices. Of course with a roof replacement we are going to contact our insurance company because the roof was 20 years old. Improvements said they don't deal with insurance companies. They didn't have to deal with them, we did. Improvements gave us a $40K estimate. Our insurance company gave us $6.8K and was going to give us another $8K if we would send a breakdown of the costs for materials, labor, etc. Improvements would not provide this info. They said they would a couple of times but never did. What project manager does not provide that information to the customer? My daughter was a project manager. One Improvements office person told me the contract states that they don't provide detailed cost breakdowns, something they failed to mention when they went over the contract with my wife and daughter. So it seems like the $40K cost is just a number they pulled out of the air and took advantage of the elderly. So I would say these business practices are shady at best.

This is the WORST company i have ever had to deal with in our book nothing but thieves, we had a deck built and its big 63x 68 they finished the first part in March the installer Edward said on the DAY he was done sorry i didn't have the long boards for the rail i will come back and change them, one week after he was done boards start coming loose from the screws peeling up and curling completely off deck, called company right then told them and sent PICTURES, we were told oh we will get someone out there to fix it, then for 5 months we got one excuse right after another, then after 5 months they came out to do the second part of the deck and told us to fix the other one, well they built the second one after a lot of fighting with them, they wouldn't show up when they were suppose to accused us of stealing shovels , and now its doing the same thing the first part did, they tell us that they wont fix the deck that its normal shrinkage and extreme heat and its been sitting here for 5 months, I'm like really I've been calling and sending pictures for 5 months. This is unacceptable after spending 100,000 with this company this is what we get the only person in this company who tried her best to help us was Jamie i wanted to leave a 0 star rating but would not let me

But, there's still one more problem caused by the trash guys who helped clean up. I talked to the company people a bunch of times but they still haven't fixed it. They say they can't find the trash guys to make them fix it. I get it, but they still need to fix it soon. Working with the company was good, but they gotta fix this soon.
This company got a guy to put up a fence on my land
This company got a guy to put up a fence on my land. The guy was terrible. He didn't show up when he was supposed to. When he finally came, he worked until 11:30 at night and left a big mess in my yard. (I got pics). The fence is now leaning on the side he put up in the dark and the gate on that side won't stay shut. We've tried a lot to get The Improvement Store to come fix the guy's screw-ups. They keep giving us the runaround. I got text messages and pics of our talks with this company and they still won't come fix the fence. Even the boss said he'd come out last Thursday, January 29 and he didn't show up or call to say he wasn't coming! They put up this fence in July and we've been trying to get them to fix the awful mistakes made by their guy ever since. They haven't done anything.

The Improvement Store team did a wonderful job of removing the old beat up raggedy driveway. There were four levels of concrete, one level was about one foot thick. The other levels varied in size, when it rained we had ankle deep water. NOW we have a beautiful driveway no standing water anywhere it looks wonderful. Thank You to the workers and the Improvement Store.
