This apartment and townhome complex is not good!
This apartment and townhome complex is not good! They charge too much money and my biggest problem is with maintenance (I'm angry). If you want to pay $2,500 a month for rent in a not-so-nice place, then this is the place for you! Maintenance can't fix anything! And when they do fix something, it's really poorly done... They don't follow instructions and use the wrong sizes for everything! It makes things look uneven. I will never recommend this terrible place to anyone! I can't wait for the lease to be over...
The living cost there is focused on the wrong upgrades
The living cost there is focused on the wrong upgrades. They try to make the buildings more energy-efficient, but they still haven't achieved that. If you plan on leasing with roommates, it's better to make sure everyone is on the same page about the security deposit and who should get it back. Otherwise, you might end up dealing with someone who refuses to sign the check for the refund, and nobody will get their money back. The Lex at Lowry doesn't offer any help or solutions to fix this issue. It seems like they would rather keep the money for themselves instead of giving it back to you.
Stay away from this sketchy apartment complex
Stay away from this sketchy apartment complex. When I moved out, they hit me with every possible fee, including damages caused by their negligence in maintenance. I called multiple times about a plumbing issue, and water started leaking, which damaged the ceiling. They somehow blamed me for it, even though the maintenance crew came and just said they would paint over it. What a joke. On top of that, my car was stolen from the community garage, and there are no working cameras, and the security does nothing to prevent it. The rent is outrageous and not worth what you get. I lived there in 2020 and disputed the charges. I never heard anything for two and a half years. Today, I received a call saying I owe for the damages in 2020, even though I haven't heard from this property in over two years! If you enjoy wasting your hard-earned money, then go ahead and move here!
I just applied for an apartment at The Lex at Lowry and had to pay a $250.00 deposit upfront, even before I got approved
I just applied for an apartment at The Lex at Lowry and had to pay a $250.00 deposit upfront, even before I got approved. Today, I found out that my application was declined. That's okay, I guess, even though I did mention that my credit was pretty limited. But here's the thing: they took my $250.00 deposit for the unit I wanted, without informing me that it would take 45-60 days to get it back if my application was rejected. And to make matters worse, they'll only send the refund to the address I applied from. Seriously, when you're applying for an apartment, it's pretty obvious that you're planning to move, right? So now, I'm stuck waiting for 60 days for a refund that might never arrive! I've seen other people's reviews saying they're also struggling to get their deposits back. This is shady business, to say the least. They don't bother telling you how long you'll have to wait if your application is declined! People who are trying to rent don't have the luxury of waiting for refunds to come back two months later, if they come back at all! And to top it off, you can't even get in touch with them. They completely ignore emails and phone calls! Just take a look at their reviews. Something is seriously wrong here!
I've had a bunch of different problems since I moved into The Lex at Lowry
I've had a bunch of different problems since I moved into The Lex at Lowry. On the first day, my sink started leaking and they had to take out all the counters in the kitchen, which made a huge mess. They also broke most of my blinds while doing that, and it happened on the weekend when I was supposed to be settling in. I asked to speak to a manager, but they just took my number and never called me back. Two weeks later, new management took over, but they didn't bother returning my calls either when I asked for help.
A few months later, my sink (I live on the bottom floor) started overflowing and it caused a big mess in all six floors above me because the drain hadn't been properly cleaned by a professional. I tried reaching out for assistance, but no one bothered to call me back.
And now, more recently, there have been a bunch of car thefts in the complex, including the garage. When I asked what they were going to do about it, they said it wasn't their responsibility. Since the new management took over, all they did was give us a banana one morning as a "complementary breakfast." They also hurried to replace all the elevators, which makes me think they were probably not up to code.
Honestly, I suggest you save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to live.
Isn't it a rip-off?
Isn't it a rip-off? On 09/19/2022, a major water pipe broke that affected our unit (B190). The landlord brought big floor drying fans into the basement, and we continued living there as usual (Indication the unit was HABITABLE during all this time and no need to rush us to the hotel). At 12:55 am on Thursday 29/09/2022, I found the following notice on my door: DO NOT ENTER HOME! Good afternoon, while the maintenance team is working on your home, we advise you not to enter/stay here. However, courtesy of us, we have rented a hotel room at the Hampton Inn for you which you can stay at from Wednesday (9/28/22) through Sunday (10/02/22). You can QUICKLY run your home and grab the important staff you need for those couple of days. You may return to your home on Sunday. Hampton Inn: *** Please check under The Lex at Lowry along with your first & last name Thank you for your patience :) Warm Regards Lex At Lowry We checked in by 01:40 am of Thursday (09/29/22) and given Room 205 but, for ethical reasons, my brother and his wife spent the night elsewhere. I visited the leasing office and talked to them about this issue, telling them I am going back to our home, and they offered an extra room (208). I checked there by 3:00 pm Thursday 09/29/202. Then we received an email (10/06/22, 11:42 am,) informing us to return home. This month, I received an email from the Lex asking me to pay $4000 against our hotel stay, adding this amount is the responsibility of my renter insurance. I sent them many emails that I need HARD copies of the hotel bills (for rooms 205 and 208, showing the dates and charges) needed by my insurance, but they are refusing to do so. Here, I ask them to give me these bills to send them to my insurer. We stayed in the unit from 09/28 till we were notified not to enter home on 09/28/22 after the vendor visit. Does this mean the office neglected to inform us we were staying in a home that was not safe or healthy?

Refund for hold never received
I applied for this place on August 29th 2023. I was told I had to give them a check for $250 in order to hold the unit it seemed very promising so I did it. I received an email on September 1st 2023 stating that I was not approved for the place. I called them and they said I will be getting a refund but did not say when. I waited a couple weeks still...
Read full review of The Lex at LowryI signed a lease with The Lex, but they didn't have the townhouse ready on the agreed date
I signed a lease with The Lex, but they didn't have the townhouse ready on the agreed date. We finally got the unit a week late, and there were many issues from the previous tenants. It's been over a month since we moved in, and they still haven't fixed the things they promised to fix. They used false advertising to lure us into the unit. It doesn't look anything like what they made us believe. There's fire damage on the fence, the back door doesn't lock, and it's really hard to open and close. Plus, there are a lot of aesthetic problems.
I applied for a lease for an apartment here and gave them a holding deposit of $300 to make sure nobody else takes the apartment
I applied for a lease for an apartment here and gave them a holding deposit of $300 to make sure nobody else takes the apartment. But then I found out I needed a co-signer because of my credit, so I had to look for another place. They told me to give them a forwarding address and in *** days I'll get a paper check in the mail with the $300. This happened in March and I still haven't got my money back. I've gone to the place, called them, and they just keep saying they'll tell the Leasing Manager and I should get it soon.

The Lex at Lowry, managed by CIM Group, advertises A/C on their website and other sites
The Lex at Lowry, managed by CIM Group, advertises A/C on their website and other sites. The A/C ain't been workin' despite them sendin' out a communication 3 weeks ago (end of May) sayin' it was ready to use. Only 2 weeks later did we get an email sayin' the A/C ain't workin'. In their follow-up email, they said they're doin' everythin' they can but ain't no timeline for fixin' it. One of the office folks told me it might take 3+ weeks (as of last Saturday). The Lex at Lowry ain't done nothin' to help us in the meantime, like givin' us portable/window A/C units or fans. They said they gave some fans to elderly and at-risk folks. But with the recent hot weather reachin' over 100 degrees, just fans ain't enough to cool down the units in The Lex at Lowry apartments. I talked to a lawyer, and they reckon The Lex at Lowry might be breakin' ***'s warranty of habitability. I'm hopin' the ComplaintsBoard.com can help me negotiate with 'em to get reimbursed for my June rent. I attached the emails they sent about turnin' on the A/C and the ones about it not workin' right.
I went to this Apartment Complex to apply for an apartment
I went to this Apartment Complex to apply for an apartment. The whole process was very boring, as they never respond to any voice messages or emails. I was told that I needed to pay $265.00 to hold an apartment which I had applied for. It had to be a "cashiers check or money order" which I went and got. I was assured that if I was not approved that I would get this deposit back. I asked several times about this. When my application was denied, again I heard nothing from them about this deposit and had to go there in person. I spoke with the Manager, Natalie who told me that it would take 30-60 days to get my deposit back! This had never been told to me, previously. As most things there are not disclosed. She told me that it would be sent to the present address where I am at, which I will most likely not be at in 60 days, as I am moving! I went to their website and noticed that there were ALOT of reviews regarding this issue. Many people are not getting their deposits back. In my case, I was denied, so I have been told that I will get it back, but could take as long as 60 days, which makes absolutely no sense! When someone is actively moving to another location, they don't have time to wait for refunds to come back in this time format and most people will most likely NOT be at their present address in 2 months. There is absolutely no communication of any kind by this apartment complex. I had to go there in person to get any kind of feedback from them. The manager, Natalie, also suggested to me to contact the credit company that turned me down to try to convince them to "change the results" which of course would not happen! I believe that this was in order to delay my refund. They really don't want to give back deposit refunds, which is obvious in the reviews. This apartment complex does not communicate with their potential tenants and they are deceptive about what their intentions are regarding these deposits. I believe that if I did not come there in person, I would never have heard from them. I have doubts about my getting this deposit back, but will not stop until I do. No one should have to go through this ordeal. Moving is stressful enough, and now I have $265.00 less to move with!
