TheTreeCenter Poor Customer Service and Warranty

I purchased 4 Korean spruce trees. Within a few weeks, one began to look weak. I gave it some more water and added more fertilizer to the ring of the tree. The tree died. I contacted customer service 36 days after the trees were delivered and explained, "The tree began dying a couple of weeks ago, but I hoped it would make it. It did not while the other three planted next to this one in a row have all survived. So, the tree did not make it 30 days, but my email was past 30 days…since the 30-day warranty applies to a tree and not an email, I think it was within the 30-day period." However, Kallie T. from thetreecenter.com, replied: "Unfortunately, we were not notified within the thirty day period as required by our policy. Given that we were not notified within the covered period, we are unable to replace the plant. Please let me know if you're interested in the coupon code previously offered." NOT HELPFUL - NOT A WARRANTY AT ALL! DO NOT PURCHASE HERE - EXPECT NO WARRANTY AND NO SUPPORT!

Recommendation: Do not buy from thetreecenter.com. If you do, expect no warranty.

TheTreeCenter Disappointing Experience with TheTreeCenter: Immature and Damaged Plants, Poor Customer Service

I recently made a purchase from TheTreeCenter and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed with my experience. I ordered two #7 spartan junipers and was told by customer service that they would be 5-6 feet tall. However, when the bushes finally arrived, they were painfully spindly and clearly end of season stock. To make matters worse, FedEx was not very helpful and moved the bushes around three times before finally delivering them.

When I compared the bushes to a less expensive identical bush grown by Monrovia that I had purchased from a local big box store, the difference was clear. The ones from TheTreeCenter were much less mature and looked like they had been sitting around for a while. To add insult to injury, one of the bushes was staked and unable to stand up on its own. The top 6" sprig was even broken off by the stake!

I contacted customer service and they agreed to replace the bushes, but they couldn't assure me that the new ones would be more mature. They also couldn't tell me when they would get more in stock. It's frustrating to spend money on a product and not receive what you were promised. I guess I should have guessed which two came from TheTreeCenter.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience and would hesitate to order from TheTreeCenter again.

TheTreeCenter Disappointing Experience with TheTreeCenter's Tri-Color Dappled Willows and Customer Service

I recently bought a dozen Tri-Color Dappled Willows from TheTreeCenter and I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with the outcome. I made sure to plant them all in the same conditions and gave them the same watering schedule, but unfortunately, two of them didn't make it. I was pretty bummed out about it, so I decided to reach out to the company to see if they could help me out.

Let me tell you, dealing with their customer service was a bit of a hassle. They told me that since I didn't purchase the one-year replacement on the plants, there was no guarantee that they would survive for even a basic period of time. I mean, come on, I spent over a thousand dollars on these plants and they can't even guarantee that they'll live for a little while? That's pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

To make matters worse, the company only offered me a discount of 20% of the cost of the two dead plants, which basically amounted to a measly $12.00. I mean, seriously? That's the best they could do? It's basically like they offered me nothing at all.

If TheTreeCenter is going to offer zero warranty on their plants, unless you pay for an expensive extended protection, then I'm definitely going to take my business elsewhere. I would encourage you to do the same and consider purchasing from a different vendor. Trust me, it's not worth the hassle.

TheTreeCenter Terrible Quality and Customer Service: My Disappointing Experience with TheTreeCenter

I gotta say, I was pretty bummed out with my experience with TheTreeCenter. I shelled out a pretty penny for some trees and shrubs, but the size and quality just didn't match up to what I was expecting. I mean, come on, $50 for a shrub that's almost dead and barely bigger than my hand? That's just not right.

And don't even get me started on the Crepe Myrtle trees. I forked over $100 each for those bad boys, but they were barely taller than my knee. I was so disappointed that I decided to hit up my local nursery to see if they had anything better. Lo and behold, I found a Crepe Myrtle that was taller than me and super healthy for just $179. Talk about a steal!

But the real kicker was when I tried to get a refund from TheTreeCenter. I spent a whole month trying to get someone on the phone, and when I finally did, they told me they don't do refunds. What kind of nonsense is that? The lady I spoke to said she'd send me some replacements for the almost dead plants, but I never got them. And now I can't even get ahold of her again. I even sent three emails through their system, but they claim they never got them. What a mess.

Honestly, the customer service was just terrible. And when you combine that with the poor quality of the products, it's just not worth it. I dropped $600 with TheTreeCenter, and I regret every penny of it. Save yourself the trouble and stay far, far away.

TheTreeCenter Disappointing Customer Service from TheTreeCenter.com: A Review of My Experience

I remember buying two autumn blaze maple trees from TheTreeCenter.com a year ago. I was excited to plant them in my home in Wisconsin. You see, I lost both my parents in the last three years and I wanted to dedicate one of the trees to my Mom and one to my Dad. When the trees arrived, I thought that they looked rather small for the price, but I went ahead and followed the planting directions to the letter. I was hopeful that they would grow into beautiful trees that would remind me of my parents.

Fast forward to this spring and I noticed that one of the trees was not doing well. I tried everything I could to save it, but unfortunately, it died. I was heartbroken. I reached out to TheTreeCenter.com to ask about a replacement and was told that since I didn't purchase a warranty on the trees, that the best they could do was 20% off on a new tree. I was very disappointed with this decision. These trees were expensive and I took great care in planting them and watering them. I felt like I had done everything right, but still lost one of the trees.

I understand that companies have policies, but I feel like TheTreeCenter.com could have been more understanding of my situation. Losing a tree that was meant to honor my parents was a big blow for me. I was hoping for a little more empathy from the company. I felt like they were more concerned with their policies than with their customers.

I have to say that I won't be ordering from this company again. I'll go to Home Depot and get something comparable for a third of the price. I'm sure that I'll find a tree that will grow just as well as the ones I got from TheTreeCenter.com. It's a shame because I really wanted to support a company that specializes in trees, but I feel like they let me down.

TheTreeCenter Impressed with TheTreeCenter's Quality Plants and Fast Shipping, but Check the Size Before Ordering

I've been ordering from TheTreeCenter for the past month and I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed. All my orders arrived within 2-3 days and the plants were in tip-top shape. The packaging was really good too, it kept my shrubs safe and sound during transit. The only downside is that the two gallon shrubs are a bit smaller than what I expected. The pictures on the website make them look huge, but they're actually just photos of fully grown plants. So if you're ordering, make sure to go for the largest size available.

But other than that, the shrubs are really beautiful and healthy. They're thriving in my yard and I now have over twelve exotic plants that are the envy of my neighborhood. I'm an 81-year-old gardener and I'm happy to report that both my plants and I have managed to escape Covid19 so far.

Overall, I'm really happy with my experience with TheTreeCenter and I've been recommending them to all my friends. If you're looking for some quality plants, this is the place to go. Just make sure to double-check the size you're ordering!

TheTreeCenter Review of TheTreeCenter: Good Plants, Some Damage, and a Little Work

I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with the plants and trees I got from TheTreeCenter. They came in these boxes that were pretty big and heavy, but I managed to get them inside without too much trouble. When I opened them up, I noticed that a couple of the plants were kinda messed up - like, some of the branches were broken or bent or whatever. I just pruned off the broken parts and crossed my fingers that they'll still grow okay. That's why I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5.

One thing I learned is that you gotta water the plants right away when you get them. Some of them were looking pretty sad and dried up, but I think that's just because they were in the boxes for a while. I mean, it makes sense - they gotta ship them from wherever they grow them to wherever you live, so they're gonna be a little stressed out. But once I gave them some water, they perked up pretty quickly.

Now, let me tell you about the good stuff. The trees and plants that weren't messed up looked great. They were just like the pictures on the website, and they came with instructions on how to plant them and take care of them. I didn't have to go to the local nursery and deal with all those people and their high prices. I mean, sure, the trees I got were smaller than the ones they have at the nursery, but they were still a good size and they were a lot cheaper. Plus, I got to plant them myself, which was kinda fun. I don't know anything about landscaping or whatever, but it was pretty easy to do.

So yeah, everything's planted now and it's looking good. I saved a bunch of money by doing it myself, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. If you're looking for some plants or trees, I'd say give TheTreeCenter a try. Just be prepared to do a little pruning and watering when they arrive.

TheTreeCenter Poor Customer Service and Low-Quality Plants: My Experience with TheTreeCenter

I gotta say, I've been trying to get in touch with TheTreeCenter for a while now and it's been a real struggle. I filled out a ticket over a week ago and still haven't heard back from anyone. My river birch arrived all bent up and damaged, which was a real bummer. And don't even get me started on the fire and ice hydrangea I ordered. It was supposed to be a 5 gallon plant, but it looked more like a 3 gallon one. And it was all beat up too.

To make matters worse, I bought three butterfly bushes from them last August and they're already dead. I mean, come on! I barely got a full season out of them. I've tried reaching out to them through Facebook and by calling them, but every time I call I end up on hold for like 20 minutes and then an automated message comes on telling me that no one is available to help me. What a joke.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. The customer service is just plain awful and the quality of the plants is seriously lacking. If you're thinking about ordering from them, I'd say think again. You're better off going somewhere else where they actually care about their customers and the products they're selling.

TheTreeCenter Avoid TheTreeCenter: Terrible Customer Service and Poor Value for Money

I recently used TheTreeCenter for a couple of months during the social distancing period caused by Covid19. As someone who has been buying plants and trees for over a decade, I can confidently say that this company is the worst when it comes to customer service and value.

Let me give you an example of what I received when I ordered bushes and trees from them. The plants looked terrible and were in a sorry state when they arrived. I had ordered 7 arborvitae, but all of them died within 2 weeks, despite being placed in different locations. I suspect that they were exposed to cold temperatures during transportation. I took pictures of the dead plants and submitted them online, but unfortunately, they lost my email and refused to reimburse me because I did not purchase the 1-year warranty.

To make matters worse, I had placed a large order, but it never showed up. I waited for a month before contacting them, and they simply said, "sorry, we will have it out shortly." However, two months after the order, I received an email saying that the order was cancelled. I was willing to work with them to replace the order, but their customer service was a nightmare. Every time I contacted them, I received a one-line email response, which was frustrating.

In conclusion, I would advise anyone to stay away from TheTreeCenter. Their customer service is terrible, and their products are not worth the money.

TheTreeCenter Frustrating Experience with The Tree Center: Missing Items, Delayed Shipping, and Poor Quality Plants

I recently had an experience with The Tree Center and unfortunately, it will be my last. My original order was for $203, but when I received an email with FedEx tracking, it showed my order was now complete for $152. At first, I thought the missing items would ship soon, but after receiving one box and realizing it was still missing two shrubs, I contacted customer service via their chat. After several days went by, they explained that FedEx had split the shipment and the second box would arrive soon - which it did. However, my order was still not complete and I was still missing two shrubs.

I waited another week and contacted customer service again, as I live in Texas and it was approaching the 90s. They apologized and explained that they were waiting on the supplier farms to restock. Another week went by and I had to contact them again, as they had not contacted me. They apologized again and offered a refund, as they still did not have the stock available.

I then noticed that the larger shrub was available on their website and suggested they send that as a gesture of good customer service. However, I was put on hold while they verified and was told I would have to pay for the larger shrubs. I was disappointed, as it was not my error to begin with, but I paid for them anyway and they finally arrived.

When I received the shrubs, I noticed that the "container" was bigger, but I could not see any roots when I watered them before planting. The soil was loose for the bottom two-thirds of the container, which was super disappointing after this whole ordeal. Additionally, the plant from a #3 container was the same size as the #2 I had ordered.

Overall, I would caution buyers to beware when dealing with The Tree Center. While they did eventually fulfill my order, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience.

TheTreeCenter Disappointing Experience with TheTreeCenter.com: Poor Quality and Customer Service for Emerald Green Arborvitae

I ordered three Emerald Green Arborvitae - 5-6 Foot from TheTreeCenter.com on May 16, 2021. The first tree arrived in good condition, but there was a delay with the other two trees. I contacted TheTreeCenter.com on May 20, and Christian C. told me that the other two trees would arrive by May 21st. The two trees arrived in one box, which was very heavy. The weight of the two trees caused the box to split at the handles and where the trees were meant to be secured. When I opened the box, I found that the two trees were badly squashed. Multiple branches were broken on one of the trees, and the second tree was badly squashed. I contacted Christian C. again, and he told me that the health of my plants had not been compromised and that they were set to live a healthy and vibrant life.

I have waited several weeks for the trees to "loosen up" and lose their squashed appearance, but there has been no change. The tree with the broken foliage simply looks bad, and I can't use the two trees in the area I planned as they look damaged. I spent almost three times what the same trees (or better) cost at Home Depot ($139.50 less 10% at TheTreeCenter.com versus $49.50 at Home Depot), and I expected the trees to look great upon delivery. If the trees weren't delivered looking great, I expected them to be replaced immediately. This has not occurred despite my polite request for at least the tree that looks the worst to be replaced.

As a homeowner doing my own landscaping, I am not affiliated in any way to TheTreeCenter.com or Home Depot. I attached photos of two trees side by side, one from TheTreeCenter.com and a tree I recently purchased from Home Depot. The difference in quality is clear, and I am disappointed with my experience with TheTreeCenter.com.

TheTreeCenter Disappointing Experience with TheTreeCenter: Unhealthy Apple Tree and Poor Customer Service

I just bought an apple tree from TheTreeCenter for $120 and when it came, it was all scabby. I tried to fix it up, but it just got worse and now the whole tree is covered in it. I asked for my money back, but they said I didn't get the one year policy, so they can't do anything since it's been 45 days instead of 30. Take a look at the pictures, does this look like a healthy tree like they promised? It's a shame that I have to go to other companies that automatically guarantee their products, send out healthy trees, and don't try to hide behind their refund policy to avoid giving an honest product.

TheTreeCenter Disappointing Quality and High Price: My Review of TheTreeCenter's Grape Crape Myrtle Plants

Let me tell you, the way TheTreeCenter packed and shipped my order was top-notch. I was impressed! But when I opened the boxes and saw the four Grape Crape Myrtle plants, I was disappointed. They were in #3 containers and had only three to five stems that were about 12-15" tall. I've been in the nursery and landscape business for over fifty years, and I've seen better quality plants get destroyed. The price I paid for these plants was way too high for the quality I received. I won't be ordering from TheTreeCenter again, and I'm going to show pictures of these plants to all of my nursery friends across the country. I'm Bob M, an ornamental horticulturist from Purdue University, and I know what I'm talking about when it comes to plants.

TheTreeCenter Disappointing Experience with TheTreeCenter: Dead Tree and Warranty Glitch

I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with TheTreeCenter. I was really excited to get some Blue Spruce Trees for my yard, so I went ahead and bought three of them from their website. I even paid extra for a warranty, just in case anything went wrong. But boy, did things go wrong.

First off, when the trees arrived, one of them had a dislodged root ball. I don't know if it happened during shipping or what, but it was pretty clear that the tree was not going to make it. And sure enough, it died pretty quickly. I was pretty disappointed, but I figured at least I had the warranty to fall back on.

Well, that's where things got really frustrating. When I contacted TheTreeCenter about the dead tree, they told me that there had been a "technical glitch" with the warranty system, and that my trees were not actually covered. I was pretty angry about this, since I had paid extra for the warranty and had even forwarded them my invoice receipt clearly stating that the trees were covered.

Their response was basically "too bad, so sad." They didn't offer to replace the dead tree or refund my money or anything. They just said that the warranty glitch had been fixed and that I was out of luck.

Honestly, I've bought plants from a lot of different websites over the years, and I've never had a problem like this before. I'm really disappointed in TheTreeCenter, and I definitely won't be buying from them again. If you're thinking about buying trees from them, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

TheTreeCenter Misleading Product Description and Poor Customer Service from TheTreeCenter

I recently received a tree from TheTreeCenter and I must say, I was quite disappointed with my purchase. I was expecting a real 100% Red Dragon Maple tree, but instead, I received a graft. I was never informed that it was a graft in any of the descriptions, so this was quite a surprise to me. To make matters worse, the tree was tiny! The graft was just a small branch, which was not what I was expecting at all.

I reached out to their customer support email address for help, but unfortunately, they have not responded to my request. I am now stuck with this tree that I do not want and cannot return without paying for shipping. Even if I did return it, thetreecenter only issues store credit, which is useless to me since I do not plan on ordering from them again.

Overall, I am extremely disappointed with my experience with TheTreeCenter. I feel like I was misled about the product I was purchasing and now I am stuck with something that I do not want. I would not recommend ordering from them in the future.

TheTreeCenter Disappointing Experience with TheTreeCenter: Small and Damaged Plants for High Price

I gotta say, I totally agree with the other review I read about TheTreeCenter. I was hoping to get some bang for my buck by ordering online instead of hitting up the local nursery, but boy was I disappointed. I ordered four of those Nova Zembla rhododendrons in the 5 gallon size, thinking they'd be big and beautiful. But when they arrived, they were puny little things that had been hacked to bits. They looked like they'd been through the wringer and back again. I mean, I know they'll grow eventually, but for $260, I was expecting something a little more impressive.

That being said, the customer service folks were pretty helpful. They were polite and tried to answer my questions as best they could. But I don't think I'll be ordering from TheTreeCenter again. I'll stick to the local nursery where I can see what I'm getting before I hand over my hard-earned cash.

TheTreeCenter Disappointing Experience with TheTreeCenter: Wrong Size, Wrong Color, No Fertilizer, No Response

I was really disappointed with my experience with TheTreeCenter. I was so excited to receive my 5 gallon pink dogwood tree, which I paid $89 for. I was told it would be 4-5 feet tall, but when it finally arrived a month later than expected, it was the wrong size and color. To make matters worse, it didn't even come with the starter fertilizer I had ordered.

When I opened the package, I was shocked to see that the tree was white, not pink, and it was in a 3 1/2 gallon pot instead of the 5 gallon pot I had paid for. To top it off, the tree was only 2 1/2 feet tall and had the girth of a twig. I was really upset and immediately submitted numerous emails and tickets to TheTreeCenter, but I never received a response.

I tried calling multiple times, but I kept getting disconnected. It was really frustrating and I felt like I was getting nowhere. Finally, after weeks of trying to get in touch with someone, I received a generic email from TheTreeCenter that simply said "Thank you, The Tree Center." I was so disappointed that there was no actual response, no refund, and no resolution to my problem.

Overall, I was really disappointed with TheTreeCenter's customer service. It was a waste of my time and money, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. It's really frustrating when you spend your hard-earned money on something and it doesn't turn out the way you expected. I hope that TheTreeCenter can improve their customer service in the future so that others don't have to go through the same frustrating experience that I did.

TheTreeCenter Disappointing Experience with TheTreeCenter: Small Trees and Poor Quality

I recently purchased a few trees from TheTreeCenter and I must say, I was a bit disappointed with the size of the trees. I ordered a Ginkgo tree in a 5 gallon container, but when it arrived, it was only 45 inches tall. I was a bit surprised, as there were no expected height thresholds specified on their website. However, the staff at The Tree Center seemed to think that this was not a concern. Unfortunately, the tree died just 90 days later, which was quite disappointing.

In addition to the Ginkgo tree, I also purchased some Birch trees. When they arrived, I noticed that the central leader of the trees had been cut to fit in the shipping box. This stunted their growth and will likely lead to life-long form issues. It's clear to me now that buying trees online is not the best idea. I would recommend going to your local box store or, even better, your local nursery.

Overall, I was not satisfied with my experience with TheTreeCenter. While their website may be easy to navigate and their selection may seem impressive, the quality of their trees left something to be desired. I would caution anyone considering purchasing trees from them to think twice and consider other options.

TheTreeCenter Disappointed with the size of Skip laurels from TheTreeCenter

I recently bought 3 Skip laurels from TheTreeCenter and I gotta say, I was a bit disappointed with the size of the plants. I mean, they were in 5-gal pots and cost me $69.50 each, but they were way smaller than I expected. I guess it's partly my fault for not calling them up to ask about the size beforehand. I mean, I could have gotten 5-6' specimens for over $100 from local stores or online. But hey, I decided to take a chance with TheTreeCenter.

When I got the plants, they were only about 20-24" tall. I was a bit bummed out because they had been "topped" to fit in the cardboard boxes. But when I looked at the root systems and main stems, they looked like they could have supported way more foliage. So I'm hopeful that they'll grow rapidly once they're established in the ground. Fingers crossed!

On the bright side, all 3 plants arrived in good condition and have been doing well in the ground. I'm happy about that. I just wish they were a bit bigger for the price I paid. But hey, you win some, you lose some. Overall, I'd say TheTreeCenter is a decent place to buy plants from.

TheTreeCenter Disappointing Experience with TheTreeCenter: Misleading Information and Poor Customer Support

My experience with TheTreeCenter was not good at all. I ordered 9 Hetz Midget Arborvitaes and I was really excited to receive them. Before placing the order, I called the support team to make sure I was getting the right size. The person I spoke to assured me that the plants would be at least 10-12" up to 13-15". However, when the plants arrived, they were only 5"! I was really disappointed and frustrated because they were half the size I was expecting.

I tried to reach out to the customer support team to see if they could help me with this issue. Unfortunately, my experience only got worse from there. I spoke to two managers and both of them told me that there was nothing they could do to help me. They didn't even apologize for the mistake that was made by their own company. I was really upset and felt like I had wasted my money.

Overall, I would not recommend TheTreeCenter to anyone I know. The customer support was terrible and they didn't take responsibility for their mistake. It's really disappointing because I was really looking forward to receiving these plants. If you're looking to order plants online, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

TheTreeCenter Disappointing Experience with TheTreeCenter: Dead Trees and No Compensation

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with TheTreeCenter. I dropped a ton of cash on some holly trees, but they didn't even make it a year before they kicked the bucket. And what did I get in return? A measly discount for a future purchase. What a joke! I ended up with over 36 dead trees and no compensation. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

Honestly, it seems like they care more about selling insurance than providing a quality product. I mean, come on! I've been in retail for 47 years and I would never treat my customers like this. It's just not right. I even gave them a chance to make things right, but all they wanted to do was talk about my lack of insurance. What a scam!

If you're thinking about buying from TheTreeCenter, I suggest you think again. Save yourself the trouble and shop local. Don't make the same mistake I did. I've lost all respect for this company and I won't be doing business with them again. I'm headed up to NH where they actually care about their customers.
