Poor service
I made an order in early March and since there was a sale I was supposed to pay half price. But they charged me the full price and refused to do anything about that! I immediately contacted www.thingsremembered.com customer service and asked them to cancel my order, but they said that there was nothing they could do since the order was already placed. Asked for a partial refund but they said no. Terrible company! Never again!
Poor service
In November I ordered a necklace for my mother's birthday. Her birthday was on December 5th. On November 15th I received a call that the order was cancelled! I contacted ThingsRemembered customer service. I was told that everything is fine and that the call to me was made accidentally. When I didn't receive the necklace on the 29th, I called again and was again told that the order was with the vendor and give it another week. Another few days passed and I called again. This time I was rudely asked to stop calling them. The entire time this was happening, the item was still showing as "In Stock" online. When I brought this to the supervisor's attention, she stated that the website just needed to be updated. Horrible company, don't order from ThingsRemembered.
Not guaranteed satisfaction as stated
12/18/15 I ordered a guardian angel snow globe. I paid to have a uploaded picture inserted and a message engraved. I received the item on 12/21/15. It was someone else's memorial round snow globe and engraving. I called customer service they agreed to send another by Christmas eve. I told the representative that it needs to be sent overnight because it was their error. On 12/22/2015 I received the globe with the correct engraving but the wrong picture. I once again contacted customer service and they told me to go to CVS or Walgreens to get a passport size(2x2) picture to fit my item. I did so and they were wrong. The size of the photo is way to large. The actual space for the picture is around 1x2.I'm so annoyed with this company and their "guaranteed satisfaction" policy is a lie.
Several times seller returned item with some problems
I have bought watch with the engraving from the company www.thingsremembered.com. The item arrived on time, but the engraving was wrong. I returned it to change the engraving, but the rep did another mistake. As well as the third time the seller simply hasn’t returned the watch. I was furious and sent complaints, but it wasn’t worth it, because the seller didn’t reply to my questions. This company didn’t care.
Things didn't look the same as on the website
We ordered bracelet from the company www.thingsremembered.com. We placed the order before Mother’s Day. We waited for the order, but we finally received it, we were in the shock. The bracelet looked completely opposite as on the website. It was ugly and really bad, so we returned it back, but the seller still hasn’t provided money back. Please, help us to solve the problem.
Wrong Monogram and they don't care
I ordered a watch box for my husband for a Christmas gift and I ORDERED it correctly it Previewed correctly but I received it INCORRECTLY, when I called they could care less. The woman on the other end was rude and couldn't give a crap that I was unhappy with the item I received. The monogram was wrong when I kept telling her it was wrong and I previewed it RIGHT they told me there's nothing they can do and that I need to RE purchase a new one but they would give me free engraving...but I have to ship the wrong one back. So I don't get a refund but they will give me free engraving ? HOW does this make any sense and HOW is this "GREAT" customer service...I WILL NEVER be buying from this company ever again...instead of taking the box back changing out the glass and sending me a new one they would rather lose a customer all together. Which is fine by me because i would never want to be treated this way again. They got their money and that is all they care about, so I guess they won. Very disheartening at Christmas time. NEVER WILL BUY FROM THEM EVER AGAIN...BECAUSE EVEN WHEN YOU"RE RIGHT... YOU'RE STILL WRONG.

Bad customer service
I went in on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm, shopping for a baptism gift for my nephew who was getting baptized the very next day. I found a beautiful product I wanted to purchase, and brought it up to the sales clerk, Valerie. She had me fill out the special engravement form with all of my information, and informed me that it will be ready for pick up the next day, Sunday, at 12 pm. She proceeded to note my font preference, suggesting a certain bold font, and a special colored engraving. I did not find out until after I got my receipt that both font and colored engravings were premiums which added additional costs. It would have been appreciated to have been informed of these costs BEFORE the actual purchase.
The next day, as I was getting ready to leave to pick up my purchase, I received a call from the store @ 11:22 am, informing me that, although the system says they have 2 products in stock (1 being the display item), she could not find the remaining item.
Frustrated that this information was communicated to me so late, I asked that other stores be contacted for item availability, and immediate engraving. Valerie then informed me that a mall 30 minutes away has the item, and would be able to engrave it within half an hour. However, my nephews baptism was in 2 hours, and I wouldn't have time to pick it up from that location.
The sales clerk suggested we take the display item, as it was in "good condition", but no engraving will be done, because they do not have an engravement plate for that item. And what made it even worse- there was a good sized chip on the top of the item! It was NOT in good condition, and I would not pay full price for it! And what is the use of purchasing a product from an engrave, ent store without a personalized engraving?
I was too upset to start a scene, so I took my refund and left. Sad to say, I walked away extremely annoyed and frustrated. And, without a gift for my nephew! I thought it would have been appropriate for the salesclerk to at LEAST contact the other locations for item availability before calling me with the bad news.
I don't know what your store policy is for sales, but contacting a customer nearly 30 minutes before pick-up is not a very good practice. And why did it take until the next day of my order for the store to locate my product in inventory? This could have all been avoided if the confirmation of item availability was made at the time of purchase. I didn't appreciate the last minute service or the inaccurate inventory system.
@molly & truth
Perhaps that's not the point. The service was disorganized and unreliable,
Not appreciated.
Let me guess, you work for them? LOL you're smart comments are non the less important. When a consumer comes in for an urgent need, if the need can't be met, then perhaps your advertising should be as stated...We are not CAPABLE of urgent orders, shop else ware because this is the portrait that is painted whenever I walk in the store.. I agree with you
Rude Employees
"What are you doing?!!" was how I was greeted by a store employee when I picked up a snow globe, I was shopping for a Mothers Day gift. I should have left the store right then and there but didn't, so after I inquired about a free engraving with purchase offer that was going on in another Things Remembered not to far away, they denied it and called the...

In first week of March I made 2 (almost $60 each) purchases within 1 week of each other. During the 1st visit, I provided my email address/text number so that I may receive a $5 coupon (and was told I'd receive more coupons) and I declined joining the rewards program which cost $5 to do so. On my 2nd visit, I used the $5 coupon and was told that if I joined the rewards program I would receive a $10 certificate since I spent over $100 between the 2 visits. I was "persuaded" by the clerk who said that it would be like joining for free since I was already getting $5 off of my purchase, and that the $10 certificate would be here within a month. This sounded reasonable to me since I visit the store about 4 times a year and spend almost $60 each time, and 4 of my children's birthdays are March-May so I figured the certificate would come in handy in April and then another for May. Well I just received the certificate today and am extremely dissapointed! The reward is not a certificate at all, it is more like a coupon with my name on it. IT IS ONLY VALID FOR $10 IF I SPEND $75 OR MORE! This was not mentioned to me at all and no paperwork was provided for the rewards club either. I feel mislead since in order for my to take advantage of this, I will need to spend at least $30 more (by the time engraving is added on) just to save $10! I never spend that much in one visit and can't really afford to buy all my gifts at one time. I'm even more upset that I didn't even really save the $5 from the first coupon I used and I receive emails/texts on a regular basis with no more coupons/savings offers yet! SAVE YOUR MONEY, THIS IS NOT WORTH IT IF YOU DON'T SPEND ALOT AT ONE TIME! I FEEL LIKE I WAS LIED TO!

Normally, you get $ 10 with no minimum purchase. Try calling customer service.
You idiot. It is a REWARDS CLUB PROGRAM. You get a REWARD for purchasing and paying for engraving over time. It doesn't matter if you spend 5 dollars or $175. You simply have to read the information pamphlet that they have to know all the rules. They are constantly presssured to sell these cards, pressured to get everything engraved with at least 40% of the value sold, pressured to get everyone to pay for premium fonts, pressured to sell 8% of pen stands, pressured to to keep their sales goals up high or get out. They WORK FOR $8.00 /per hour and don't get benefits, they don't get raises, and they don't get more hours than 25 per week. They have no incentive for anything there but to keep their job. They are always told they will be fired if they can't keep up their goals.
The goals break down like this: 8% for pen stands, 90% premium fonts, 40.7% engraving, 15% of Rewards Club cards, and 100% of sales and transactions for the day.
Even if they make their daily goal in sales for the store and go beyond it they are told they failed if they don't meet those goals that are broken down above. They are always told they have failed. Especially with their newest planed program. STARS. Its always a failure system with them. Things Remembered doesn't care about anyone but themselves. They don't even care about their employees.
Next time you step into one of their stores you will see just how broken, taken avantaged of and un-rewarded their employees are. They work harder than the average Retail Associate and yet are given nothing in return. Be a little nicer to them next time and you will understand why the assocates don't care about you. They are trying to keep their jobs more than anything else. With the constant pressure on them to sell, sell, sell, make goals, make goals, make goals, there isn't enough care from them because no 0ne in their organization cares about them. Why would they care about you if they are being treated like crap anyway?
Unprofessional, Rude Staff & Management
Things Remembered has such beautiful gifts, (not exactly what I would call inexpensive after the engraving fee), but certainly awesome personalized gifts.
That being said, I went there like a fool for a last minutes brainstorm of a gift that I decided to buy for someone in need, when they opened on 12/24/10. The line was already out the door, with no staff members instructing which line they had decided to designate for ordering, or pick-up. (Thank God my physic abilities led me to the right line to place the order).
I ordered a simple keychain, which came to over $40.00 after the engraving. No biggie though, money well spent, or so I thought. I came back to that insane mall again to retrieve my keychain an hour & 1/2 later, and the line was out the door again, with no semblance of order.
When I finally received my long-awaited keychain, it was engraved incorrectly. THEY decided to use two different fonts, and the inscription on the back of the keychain was upside down. WTF? So, I asked them to correct the font issue, and to redo it so that the inscription on the back wasn't upside down. They rudely tell me to come back in another 30 minutes. I definitely DID NOT want to be in Roosevelt Field mall at that point, because it was jam-packed, but I was being held hostage by their ineptness.
I come back again 45 minutes later to retrieve it, and again the lines out the door, with NO ONE knowing where the f**k to wait on line, because the staff was too busy prancing around, laughing and joking. GREAT. I get my long-awaited keychain and THE FONTS ARE STILL WRONG. Now they tell me that I have to suck it up, because they aren't going to correct their mistake. Now I ask for a manager, and they tell me that she is "on a call with the district manager", and that I will have to wait. Great, Now, I've lost 3 hours of my day for this lousy keychain, and they are giggling as they watch me wait, and wait, and wait, for the almighty Wizard of Oz manager to appear.
Finally, Debby the manager(?) graces me with her appearance. Now it's 12 noon already, and she tells me that they will not redo their mistake, because they've done it twice wrong already. Again, WTF? So, even though I went there for a special gift for someone who is down & out, I'm willing to take the refund, and move on with my life. Now this Debby refuses to give me her business card so that I can pursue it corporately.
After insisting upon her full name, she finally yells out to me in front of a full store, what is it that you want? It engraved again? I'm like yeah, that's what I've been asking for, something that I paid for, just done correctly. Big mystery there now huh?
The corporate office needs to replace this hillbilly, because there are way too many qualified people looking for a job, who actually care about the customers that come in, and who are accountable for their store's issues. Please, someone fire this manager Debby, and improve the quality of the experience that your customers deserve.
Amen...

Deb has got to be the worst person when it comes
To personality. I've experienced it first hand.
This company is so backwards, it wouldn't
Surprise me if they put her in customer service
Perhaps this store should be properly renamed "Things Best Forgotten! or, "Things I remember from my nightmare!"
@ warrior17 ...lol... i have been subjected to white trash as well and ...forgive you for not seeing...but i think that is the whole point. White trash is not a bigot comment, it is a termed endeared to a "white person" who happens to have no class whatsoever and in reality has no business dealing with the public. We have all dealt with either a. customer service reps with no people skills or b. employees with no class. Maybe, JUST maybe, employee Managers should conceit when an employee makes a mistake and correct the problem at the companies expense. The way i see it, it is the company's responsibility to employ competent employees and managing employees. We have an expectation when paying ridiculous prices, that we will get what we pay for. Shame on you for wanting what you paid for debbie r
PS God forbid the retail slaves have fun at work on Xmas eve.
White trash? No wonder no one could do anything to please you. Most bigoted persons are difficult to please in the BEST of circumstances.
My condolences on your attitude.
Customer Service
I went to Things Remembered to purchase a baptism present for my neice. I have two complaints from this first (and last) experience at Things Remembered. The employees were rude not only to each other, but to customers as well. This made for an unpleasant visit. When I picked up my item, I noticed that they mispelled the name on my engraving and when asked...
