Disappointing Experience with ThingsRemembered: Missing Order, Wrong Monogram, and Unhelpful Staff
I've been a regular customer at ThingsRemembered for years and never had any problems until this year. On December 17th, I went to the store in my area to place an order. I knew it was a busy time of year, so I asked the lady if it would be okay to place an order and if it would be ready on time. She assured me that it would be ready the next day, December 18th, at 4 pm.
The next day, I went on a cruise and had my mom pick up my order on the 19th. However, when she got to the store, they told her that they didn't even have my order in the system. I was so frustrated and disappointed. I called the store on Christmas Eve as soon as I got off the ship and gave them my receipt and order number. The lady on the phone said she would take care of it that day, but my plane wouldn't land until after they closed. So, I had no gift for my Dad or my Best friend on Christmas.
But it didn't end there. When I went to the store on December 26th, it was so unorganized. The lady couldn't find my order at first, and when she finally did, she gave me my two orders in one beat-up box. And to make matters worse, one of them had the wrong monogram. I asked for a discount on my order for all the trouble I had gone through, but the lady only offered me a 25% off coupon for my next purchase. I mean, really? I was so disappointed and frustrated that I decided not to come back to this store again.
To make matters worse, my mom also ordered a necklace from ThingsRemembered, but they called her to say that they broke it and it was the only one left. Needless to say, she was not happy either. I lost my business with ThingsRemembered, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Disappointing Experience at ThingsRemembered: Rude Staff and Broken Promises for Special Gift
I went to the ThingsRemembered store in the Meadows mall last weekend, on December 14th, 2019. I was looking to buy two heart lockets and an employee tried to help me out. However, they were quite busy at the time and asked me to come back in four hours. When I returned, I noticed that one of the engravings was wrong. I brought this to the attention of the manager, but unfortunately, they were very rude to me. I was quite taken aback by their behavior and decided to leave the store.
Later on, I called the store to see if they had any more lockets in stock. Unfortunately, I was told that I would have to wait for ten days. I explained to the person on the phone that I needed the locket for my 12-year-old granddaughter, who has no parents. My son was killed by a drunk driver, and I really wanted to give her something special. However, the person on the phone was not very sympathetic and told me that it was all my fault. They even claimed that they had it on camera!
I was quite upset by this response, especially since I was getting help from a worker at the time. I explained to the person on the phone that I couldn't just buy something else, as I had already purchased this particular locket and it needed to be special. In the end, I decided to go to the Henderson store on Monday to see if they could help me out.
Unfortunately, the manager at the Henderson store was also quite rude to me. They told me that they had ordered a new locket, but that it would take ten days to arrive. They also suggested that I buy something else instead. I left the store feeling very frustrated and upset.
I decided to call customer service to see if they could help me out. The district manager I spoke to was very kind and understanding. They told me that they had some lockets in stock and that they would send me a new one within 48 hours. This was on December 16th, 2019. However, when I called the store on December 21st, 2019, I was told that the locket was still not there.
I am very disappointed with ThingsRemembered. They are treating a little girl badly over a simple human error. They are not following through on their promises and are being very unprofessional. It's a shame that a store that is supposed to be all about remembering special moments is behaving in such an evil way. There are plenty of other places to buy nice things without having to deal with harassment and lies.
I hope that someone from ThingsRemembered reads this review and takes action. I would appreciate it if they could call me to discuss this matter further. My name is Susan Rigg and my phone number is ***945. Thank you.
Disappointing Experience with ThingsRemembered.com: Missing Item, Poor Customer Service, and Delayed Delivery
I recently made an online purchase from ThingsRemembered.com for 5 items, which I intended to give as Christmas gifts to my loved ones. I placed my order on November 26th, the day after Thanksgiving. I received 4 out of the 5 items a week later, but the last item was nowhere to be found. I waited for two days before calling customer service, but still, there was no sign of my missing item.
Finally, someone from customer service called me and left a message saying that there was an error with my order and they needed to speak to me before finalizing the personalization. I called back immediately, but the employee I spoke to explained that there was no error and my item would be shipped shortly. I waited a couple of days, but I was still worried about my missing item, so I decided to get in touch with customer service again.
To my surprise, the customer service representative claimed that I did not order or pay for the item. I was shocked because I had been charged, and I had the email confirmation of my order. After arguing with the representative, she finally admitted that my item was canceled due to a mistake on their end. She promised to refund my card and send the item out with two-day shipping.
I was relieved that my problem was finally solved, but I was wrong. Four days later, I still had not received my item. I called customer service again and spoke to another representative who promised to send it out to me in two days. A week later, and I still had not received my item. This was the fourth time I had to call customer service.
I had to explain the whole story again and convince them to send me my item because the previous worker did not make a note of it in my file. She too promised that I would receive my item in two days. Here I am, almost a whole month later, still waiting for my item. The representative promised that I would receive it on Thursday night, but I had to call again this morning to make sure it was sent out and not canceled again.
Christmas is in three days, and I am so worried that I am not going to receive my gift. I have never been more stressed out about ordering online in my life. I ordered this item on November 25th, and it is now December 22nd. This has been a holiday disaster, and I will never order from ThingsRemembered.com again.
Disappointing Experience with Things Remembered: A Cautionary Tale for Gift Shoppers
Things Remembered ain't all it's cracked up to be. They say they guarantee satisfaction, but let me tell you, they don't always deliver. I went to the Jersey City location to get a gift engraved, but they messed it up. I took it back the next day and they said it would be ready in two days. But when I went back to pick it up, it still wasn't ready. They told me to call in two more days to have it shipped to the recipient. But I forgot to call, so I went back to the store two days later and it still wasn't there! I was so mad. I had already given the gift at a retirement party and the name was wrong. I had to go back and fix it. The manager didn't seem to care at all and just offered me my money back. But the recipient really liked the gift, so I gave them another chance. They said it would be ready on May 5th, but when I called, it still wasn't there. I tried to complain to the district manager, but the customer care department was no help. Don't make the same mistake I did. Be careful if you're thinking of getting a gift from Things Remembered for Mother's Day or any other occasion.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience at Things Remembered in Fairview Mall, North York, ON
I recently had an experience at Things Remembered at the Fairview Mall location in North York, ON that left me feeling very disappointed. I had purchased a pen and pencil set and requested that it be engraved with my boyfriend's name in the Vanessa font. However, when I went to pick up my items a few hours later, I noticed that it had been engraved in the Times font instead.
I brought this to the attention of the sales associate and the manager, but instead of apologizing for the mistake, they tried to convince me that my boyfriend would prefer the Times font. Their tone of voice was rude and negative, and they made me feel like I was an inconvenience for wanting the engraving redone.
I stood there for about five minutes, feeling disrespected and unhappy with the way they were handling the situation. I explained that I wanted the Vanessa font because my boyfriend and I enjoy calligraphy together and cursive is the font we prefer. However, they continued to push their opinion on me instead of acknowledging their mistake and apologizing.
As a company that specializes in customization, I was extremely disappointed that they would sell me a product that I clearly did not ask for. If they had apologized and voiced their opinion in a respectful manner, I may have been more understanding. However, their lack of empathy and unwillingness to correct their mistake left me feeling frustrated and disrespected.
This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had, and I will not be shopping at this location again. I hope that in the future, Things Remembered will prioritize customer satisfaction and take responsibility for their mistakes.
Terrible Customer Service at Things Remembered in Meriden, CT - Avoid at All Costs!
Yo, I went to the ThingsRemembered store in Meriden, CT on 12/20/18 at 2:30pm to get an OVAL PLATE #*** personalized. Let me tell you, the female Store Manager/Asst. who was doing the engravings was a total witch!
So, I walked in and this sweet older lady helped me out. She went to grab the cardboard sample displays of the different size, shape, color style plates offered, so I could check them out in person. But then, the engraving lady grabbed them from her and said, "No we don't do that. They stay on the counter", as she put them back. Rude much?
Anyway, I finally made my selection and placed my order. I brought my item (a jewelry box) with me and asked the young girl after she rang me up, "Do you guys put it on for me?" "Oh my God, I'll never get it straight." lol. But then, the engraving lady interjected rudely, never picking her head up from the engraver, "NO WE DON'T DO THAT". The young girl apologized, but seriously, what a buzzkill.
I'm never going back to that location again! I'll go to the one in Milford, CT if I ever need something engraved. I get that Christmas time is busy, but that's no excuse for being a total jerk. If every employee acted like her, businesses would be closing left and right!
In today's retail competition, stores need to offer exceptional customer service and professionalism from their employees. That's what makes them a place where people WANT to shop! And just so you know, I also bought a ceramic blue dinosaur "piggy" bank with engraving from the store. But when the young lady went to get the box for it, the engraving lady said, "Let her know we don't have a box for that. It is the last one and it is sold without one." But get this, the dinosaur and other bank (pink) which were on display had identical boxes and there were numerous pink ones left. What a joke.
So yeah, that engraving lady is NOT an asset to your company! She's rude, arrogant, ignorant, and unprofessional!
Disappointing Quality and Durability: My Experience with ThingsRemembered Keepsake Items
Me and my family have been buying from ThingsRemembered for years and years. We've bought so many things from them, it's hard to keep track. My daughter got a beautiful snow globe for her baptism, it cost us $150 and it's 4 years old now. But the water inside has turned completely yellow and disgusting looking. She got another snow globe from her grandmother for her birthday, it's two years old now and the water inside is also yellow and disgusting.
I've been married for five years now and we bought an engraved serving set knife and champagne glasses from ThingsRemembered. But the silver has awful looking spots all over them that do not come off with any kind of Polish. They look terrible and the rhinestones are falling out. They actually looked like that immediately after the first use and we properly hand washed and dried them.
We also bought a silver picture frame for our wedding from ThingsRemembered. But it has turned an orange bronze color and will not polish clean. My daughter has a small jewelry box that has also turned an orange bronze and will not polish clean. My mom has a massive snow globe that is at least 15 years old and the water is completely yellow and most of the water is evaporated. It is stored in a glass cabinet nowhere near the sun. My mom has picture frames, four of them to be exact, from our confirmation and they have all turned an orange color after 15 years.
Their items look beautiful, but they're a little bit on the expensive side. I don't mind that at all, but nothing lasts. ThingsRemembered specializes in keepsake items, and keepsake items are meant to last for years and years. But you're lucky if you get a year out of them. And by the way, if something goes wrong with your items over the one year warranty, you are offered nothing with no solution in fixing your items.
Imagine the server set that your mother gave you for your wedding that you planned on cutting all of your cakes with and serving your desserts throughout your married life looks absolutely awful. You don't even want your mom to see it because she spent so much money on it and then had it engraved for you. And now it's completely deteriorating. Every time I see it in the drawer and take it out to slice a dessert, I'm immediately reminded by how upset I am that it looks the way it does.
Seriously, as beautiful as the items are at the store, do not purchase them. They are all crap. I'd be more than happy to share hundreds of photos with you of all the items throughout the years I've bought that have fallen apart.
Disappointing Experience at ThingsRemembered: Rude Employee and Ruined Engraved Frame
I recently visited ThingsRemembered to purchase a special gift for my boyfriend. I had previously visited this store and had no issues, but this time was different. I wish I had researched before going to this store as most of the reviews were bad. I had an unpleasant experience with one of the employees at the Staten Island mall location.
I brought a frame that my boyfriend had asked for and decided to engrave it to make it special. As I asked the lady to help me put my order in, she was immediately rude. I was also with my friend who noticed her attitude towards me. In the middle of filling out the paper, she walked away to help someone else. The manager ended up taking over the order and told me to come back in an hour.
When I got back, the employee who originally helped me handed me a frame engraved with a huge scratch across it. I was very calm and told her that there was a scratch. She responded by trying to tell me that it was my fault and that I brought her a scratched frame. I had checked the frame right in front of her to make sure and that is why I handed her a half-open picture frame box. Not only did this lady, Jennifer, start off rude from helping me in the beginning, but she also tried to hand me a scratched frame and blame me for her mistake.
Jennifer called the manager over to ask if it happened there, and the manager responded yes. They both tried to hand me a frame they ruined, hoping I didn't notice because I look young. Jennifer also made some snooty remarks and laughed at my gift choice, commenting in a rude tone, "I got my boyfriend a frame, but he didn't want it." I then responded that my boyfriend had asked for a picture of me and him to put in his room and for it to be cherry wood. You could sense the jealousy in her voice with every comment she made. My friend who was with me also engraved a frame, and of course, Jennifer made another comment that we both got an engraved frame. This was all right in front of the manager.
I really wish I had complained about the frame in the store instead of taking it with the pencil fill-in they did. In regular lighting, the frame is now ruined. I will not be buying anything else from this place. I ended up buying a seal to fill in the scratch on the frame they ruined. I asked friends and family for their opinions on the story I had told them, and everyone responded that they should have reimbursed me for their mess up. For looking young, they had taken advantage of me, hoping I wouldn't say anything, but of course, not one to complain, they were lucky.
I would love to go back and tell Jennifer that maybe if she was a nice person, her boyfriend would actually appreciate a picture of her. I'm sure karma will do its job. Overall, my experience with ThingsRemembered was disappointing, and I would not recommend this store to anyone.
Deceptive Advertising: Things Remembered's BOGO Deal Not Honored
I ain't one to write reviews online, but I gotta say something about my experience with Things Remembered. So, I was looking for a gift for my kid's teacher and stumbled upon their website. I ain't never shopped there before, but they had a good selection of personalized gifts for teachers. I found this gold and silver pen for $19.99 and saw that it was part of a BOGO deal. I needed two pens, so I thought, "Great, I'll get one for 50% off!"
I went through the process of personalizing the pens and showed them to my wife. She loved them, and we were all set to pick them up at our local store. But when we went to check out, the BOGO deal wasn't applied. We went back to the category "BOGO pens" and saw the same banner ad that said "Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off." We even found the same pen we selected multiple times and still no deal.
So, my wife called the number listed on the website to get some help. The agent she talked to said the promotion had ended, but we could still find the page with the deal on it. We were confused and frustrated, so my wife asked to speak to a supervisor. That's when I got on the phone with V. Henderson.
I explained to her that we saw the promotion on their website today, but she said it wasn't valid. She even asked me to send her a screenshot of the page, which I did. While we were getting it to her, she started asking me all these questions like I was some kind of hacker. It was ridiculous.
After being put on hold, V. Henderson came back on the phone and told us there was nothing she could do. She even asked if there was anything else she could help us with, like she hadn't just wasted our time. We were so disappointed with their customer service.
Here's the thing, though. The BOGO Pens offer can still be found on their website. I even have the link: http://m.thingsremembered.com/product/BOGO-Sale/BOGO-Pens-Pencils-Sale/Personalized-Silver-Gold-Ballpoint-Pen/pc/4492/c/0/sc/3459/***.uts. You can see that it's still listed under "BOGO-Sale/BOGO-Pens-Pencils-Sale" on May 31, 2015.
In the end, we decided to go to a local engraver instead of dealing with Things Remembered. I don't appreciate their bait and switch tactics. They presented us with a deal, and then didn't honor it. It's not good business. So, if you need something personalized, I suggest finding a locally owned shop instead of dealing with this racket.

Disappointing Experience with Things Remembered: Missing Necklace and Poor Customer Service
I recently made a purchase on thingsremembered.com for two necklaces as Christmas gifts for my mother in law and sister in law. I placed my order on December 3rd and received one of the necklaces about a week later. However, the other necklace is nowhere to be found. My guaranteed delivery date was today, December 17th, and I have yet to receive it.
I decided to call the customer service line on Tuesday, December 15th to verify that the necklace was still going to arrive on time as I had not received a tracking number. The representative on the phone assured me that they were sending it out that day and that I would receive it on time. However, when I called today to request a tracking number, I was informed that the item was still in production and they did not have a time frame as to when I was actually going to receive the necklace.
I was frustrated and asked why I had been told that it was being sent out on the 15th. The representative's response was not helpful, as she simply stated, "I am not responsible for what someone else said." I decided to cancel the order and request a refund. However, I was informed that I have to wait until I receive the item, then send it back. Once they receive it, I can then request a refund.
Overall, I wasted about two hours of my time and got nowhere. I am disappointed with the lack of communication and organization from thingsremembered.com. I hope that they can improve their customer service in the future to avoid situations like this.
Terrible Customer Service Experience at Things Remembered in Westminster Mall, California
This company really needs to learn how to treat their customers right. I had a terrible experience at the Westminster Mall store in California. I bought 6 frames and wanted to return them, but the cashier didn't want to help me because she was alone and there were 4 other customers waiting. I came back the next day and talked to the manager, but she refused to return the frames at all. I was so frustrated that I called the Customer Service line, but the lady on the phone didn't want to help me either. She said she would "leave it to the store level" and didn't want to take any responsibility. It was like nobody wanted to help me and everyone was passing the buck to someone else.
The manager said she would call the district manager to see what to do, but I couldn't believe it. Why was it so hard to return 6 frames? I was so disappointed with the lack of customer service that I will never go back to Things Remembered again. It's a shame that they don't have negative points because they would definitely get a -1000 from me.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Things Remembered: A Review
On the third of June, I decided to purchase some Champagne Flutes and a Server Set from ThingsRemembered.com. I was excited to receive my order, but the next day, I received an email that my entire order was out of stock. I was disappointed, but I decided to check the stores to see if I could find the set I wanted. Luckily, I found the set I wanted at the Orland Park location. I ordered the set for pick up, and I was happy that I could still get what I wanted.
However, my happiness was short-lived when I received an email from PayPal stating that I was charged for the Champagne Flutes that I had previously ordered online, which were out of stock. I was confused and didn't know what was going on, so I decided to call customer service to find out. The representative I spoke to told me that they couldn't stop the shipment and advised me to refuse the package when it arrived. I was surprised that I never received an email stating that the item was in stock, nor did I receive any shipping information.
I decided to call customer service again today to find out the status of my order and when it would be shipped. Unfortunately, the customer service representative I spoke to was very rude and talked over me. She gave me quick, short answers, and I felt like she didn't care about my concerns. She promised to email me the tracking information, but I have yet to receive it.
To make matters worse, the sales lady at the Orland store was also rude when I called yesterday to find out how long they would hold my package. I was disappointed with the poor customer service I received from both the online and in-store representatives.
Overall, my experience with Things Remembered was not a good one. I don't think I will be ordering anything else from them in the future.

Terrible Customer Service at ThingsRemembered: My Experience Waiting 4 Hours for an Order
This was my first time ordering from ThingsRemembered and I was excited to purchase three items from their website. I spent a pretty penny on these items and was given an estimated time of 4:30pm for pickup. I arrived early at 4pm and was told that my order would be ready in just 30 minutes. I decided to hang around the Columbiana mall until about 6pm and then went back to the store to pick up my items.
To my surprise, there were three ladies in front of me in the line and none of their orders were done yet. The estimated times for their orders ranged from 3pm to 5:30pm. The manager was providing horrible customer service to each of these ladies. When it was finally my turn, my order was still not done. In fact, they hadn't even printed one of the orders yet.
I asked why they hadn't told me this 1.5 hours ago when I was in the store and how could I be charged online if they couldn't provide the service. Instead of any apology, I was told that I should have waited for a confirmation from them. This seemed fraudulent to me because I was given a time per the order placed and also told that it would be ready in 30 minutes to my face.
I spent a total of 4 hours waiting for this one product which they could have just told me wouldn't be ready. And then they had the audacity to tell me that it was my fault and that I should wait another hour. They treated their customers like crap and I will never order from them again.
Disappointing Experience with ThingsRemembered.com Customer Service and Delivery
I made a purchase on December 10th from ThingsRemembered.com. At the time of purchase, the predicted delivery date was December 18th, which gave me plenty of time to receive my order before Christmas. However, only a part of my purchase was shipped quickly, and the glass, which was the only reason I started the purchase, was still in process.
I reached out to the customer care team on December 22nd and 23rd to get an update on my order. They informed me that the glass was shipped on December 23rd, but they did not provide any tracking information like they did for the rest of my order and on their website.
On January 11th, I reached out to the customer care team again since I still had not received the glass. This time, the care representative informed me that the glass was not in stock and was not expected to be in stock anytime soon. However, she ignored all my requests for information on the order that I was told was shipped. I asked the question twice, but she did not respond.
The care representative offered me an alternative glass or a refund. However, all the glass options that were in stock looked easily breakable and plain. I provided the part number for the only glass that looked acceptable to me, even though it was a set of two and not the original requested glass.
Without a response all day, I received an email informing me of the credit I received to my form of payment. My family has been purchasing from ThingsRemembered.com for years, but I don't see that happening again after this experience.
Frustrating Experience with Things Remembered: Inaccurate Stock Information and Charged Debit Card for Out of Stock Item
I gotta say, I had a bit of a frustrating experience with Things Remembered. I was browsing their website and found this beautiful vase that I wanted to order. It said it was "In Stock" and ready to ship, so I went ahead and personalized it with some fancy fonts and designs. But when I got to the final page to put in my credit card info, it said the product was out of stock and wouldn't ship for another three weeks! What a bummer! I needed the vase sooner than that, so I had to start all over again and find a different one.
Luckily, I found another vase that was in stock at my local Things Remembered store. I personalized it again and put in my credit card info, feeling relieved that I wouldn't have to wait for shipping. But then, an hour later, I got an email saying that the store had misjudged their quantity and didn't actually have the vase in stock. Ugh! To make matters worse, my debit card was charged and the funds were held in my account for five days.
I don't know what's up with Things Remembered's website, but they really need to get their act together when it comes to product quantities. If you're going to say something is in stock, make sure it's actually in stock! My advice to anyone ordering from them is to double-check the quantity before you get your hopes up. And if you can, try to find a store that has a lot of the item in stock (like eight or more) so you have a better chance of actually getting it. Otherwise, you might be better off just going to the store in person and getting the item yourself.
Terrible Experience with ThingsRemembered.com: Order Never Received and No Refund Given
So, I was browsing through ThingsRemembered.com and I must say, they have some really nice stuff. However, I had a terrible experience with their website orders.
I placed an order on December 22nd, 2016 and paid $47 for overnight shipping via FedEx to receive my item by 8 pm on Christmas day. Unfortunately, it never showed up. I understand that mistakes happen, especially during the holiday season, so I decided to give them a call on December 24th, 2016. The woman I spoke with was very nice and apologetic. She informed me that my order never got processed and promised to refund my shipping costs and place a new order right away.
After a few more days, I still hadn't received a refund on my card, so I decided to call again on December 28th, 2016. The woman I spoke with informed me that she didn't see a refund request or a new order placed. At this point, I was frustrated but remained calm. I asked for a complete refund and requested that they not place a new order. I was put on hold and when she came back, she informed me that she had issued me a full refund and canceled my order completely.
However, on December 31st, 2016, I still had not received a refund. I decided to call again and the woman I spoke with informed me that no refund had been submitted and I still hadn't received what I paid for. This was extremely frustrating as they had charged me, never sent what I paid for, and I still had no refund.
I would strongly advise against ordering from ThingsRemembered.com. This company is terrible and they stole my money. I am out $110 and I hope that the Better Business Bureau shuts them down.
In conclusion, while ThingsRemembered.com may have nice stuff, their website orders need serious help. I would recommend finding another company to order from to avoid any potential issues.
Disappointing Experience with ThingsRemembered: Low-Quality Products and Poor Customer Service
So, I was looking for a special gift for my mom's birthday and decided to order a bangle bracelet with an engraved heart from ThingsRemembered. I also added a heart-shaped jewelry box with her name on it. Unfortunately, I ordered a bit late, so I had to pick up my order in-store, which was an hour away from my place. But, I thought it would be worth it because the items looked pretty cute on the website.
After the long drive, we finally arrived at the store, and the guy at the counter unwrapped the items and showed us the engravings. Everything looked good at first glance, so we headed back home. However, when I took a closer look at the heart-shaped box, I noticed that it was scratched on the back, and the pin was missing from the hinge. I was disappointed, but I called customer service, and they promised to send me a new one. However, if I wanted to return it, I would have to drive back to the store or pay for my own postage to send it through the mail. Strike #2.
But, the worst part was yet to come. After only three days of wearing the bracelet, all of the "gold" wore off, and it looked like a cheap kids' bracelet that you can get from a 25 cent machine at the bowling alley. I paid $70 for something that turned out to be so cheap and low-quality. I was really disappointed and felt like I wasted my money.
I thought ThingsRemembered was a high-end place, but I was wrong. Don't let their fancy website fool you. I will never order from them again.
Terrible Service and Multiple Issues with Order - Do Not Recommend
I put in my order on the 8th of the month and was supposed to get it by the 16th. But then on the 14th, I got an email from them asking me what I wanted. I told them that what I asked for is what I wanted. But then they cancelled my original order because of this and now I had to wait until the 22nd to get my products. Then they told me that they messed up the shipping and that they would put in a request so that I would get it on the 19th instead. They said that if there was a problem, they would call me. But I didn't get a call from them and I still didn't get my products. So I called them back and found out that they denied the request to ship it early. So I had to wait until the 22nd! That was 2 weeks after my original order.
On top of all of these problems, my gift missed the deadline of the party. And to make things worse, I was charged four times but only got one credit issued. I had to call them and wait on hold to deal with this. I had to fight with them about how many times my order had been approved on their side before they would fix it. It took them over a week to do anything about it. And at that point, all the charges were taken off. So I had to call them again to make sure that they didn't cancel my order again.
Their service is terrible and based on my experience, it's a total headache and not worth it at all. You can find better products elsewhere without all the headache. If I could give them no stars, I would. I will not be shopping with them again.
service
I made a purchase that was expected for Valentines Day. I called customer service this afternoon (2/14/20) to assist with tracking since I had never received the confirmation emails associated with my product order. He stated my order was cancelled this same morning due to the item being out of stock when my item was expected for delivery today. I am very confused as to how this was not noticed in advance and as to why I never received an email or phone call notification. I am now left without a gift which is more than an inconvenience. This is unacceptable and I have purchased from this company in the past and now makes me reconsider. Very disappointed but hopefully this will raise awareness and someone else will not be as inconvenienced.
sales manager
I ordered 2 baby gifts online on dec 27th. Hoping to avoid the after christmas rush. Got an email asking me to call due to an issue. I was told by the sales guy that my order was cancelled since one of the gifts I ordered was not available in the store. I asked him if he could let me know which other baby gift frames were available so that I could order...

I purchased an engraved ornament which was shipped in a timely manner. This was in memory of my son who passed away this year and was a gift for his 9-year old daughter. The ornament was acceptable - a little overpriced for the quality. I would have been satisfied except that the box it was in was broken. This is a keepsake for my granddaughter to have for many years to come and it would have been nice to have a decent box to store the ornament. I emailed customer service and they offered to let me return it but this was not acceptable since I had already given it to my granddaughter to hang on the tree. It would have been cruel to take it from her.
didn't receive the right item
I purchased online a bracelet with its box
I wrote on the bracelet and the box. I was very excited because that was a Christmas gift for my husband. I received the bracelet and the box, the box has no words whatsoever. I call them, and they simply say, oh online didnt catch your purchase correctly. Ok seriously? Why didn't anybody bother contacting? You guys ruined my Christmas gift.
where's my refund?
I purchased something and was told to pick it up the following day. That should have been the first thing she said when she helped me, and Icould have walked out then. i need a refund because I was unable to come back the next day. I called the store after four days and told them I have not received my refund, she said wait 7 days. Now it has been 7 days, after faxing my receipt she says she does'nt what happened, but you have to come back into the store to get a refund.
I went back to the store again to get my refund. The same employee was there, and she repeatedly told me it was my bank. She called someone on the phone to help her with the refund. I waited approximately 20 minutes while the person took her step by step over the phone. When she was done she hands me the receipt and says " here you go". And this employee was training a new employee, and my refund still is not in my account.
personalized business card holder
To Whom It May Concern:
This email is to complain about your Clackcamas Town Center Things Remembered location. My boyfriend and I just had our two year anniversary. After recently opening my own Law Firm my boyfriend thought it would be a perfect anniversary gift to get something for my office. He was GOING to get me a business card holder and display. Because the store did not have the business card holder in stock that I wanted we had to put in an order for it. I filled out the order and gave it to the lady who was working. She DID NOT confirm with me that everything was spelled correctly. My boyfriend paid for the order and we left. About a week later I got a call informing me that my item was ready to pick up.
Yesterday, Jan. 20, 2018, my boyfriend and I went to go pick up my order. I spoke with Cheyanne. She brought my item out, showed it to me and asked if this it what I ordered. I looked at it and told her no, the name is spelled incorrectly. She went on to tell me that the girl who originally helped me said she wrote the name out and asked me to confirm it. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. I would have told her the name was wrong. Why the hell would I confirm the wrong name?! Instead, she wrote it AFTER I had already LEFT the store WITHOUT CONFIRMING THE SPELLING.
This is horrible customer service. Why in the world would YOUR EMPLOYEES not CALL someone if they weren't sure of the name?! This was custom ordered. It was also the last one of it's kind. There was only one in stock in the "warehouse." Cheyanne told me they weren't going to refund us because I apparently confirmed the name, which I NEVER DID BECAUSE IT WAS NEVER WRITTEN OUT WHEN I WAS THERE AFTER I ALREADY WROTE IT.
Not only is my personalized item INCORRECT, but now my anniversary gift from my boyfriend is completely ruined. Why the hell would I want something for my business that has my name spelled incorrectly? My boyfriend was so pissed off he couldn't even be there, he had to walk away. I eventually got my money back, but I walked out of the store pissed off from horrible customer service, giftless for my anniversary, and annoyed I had to drive 45 minutes there and another 45 minutes back home for NOTHING.
This is HORRIBLE customer service and by far the worst experience I've ever had with any company. This is not a good first impression with TR and I expect it to be fixed promptly.
With respect, what do you expect them to do?
Worst customer service on earth
Oh god what a mess! This should be stopped for sure.
I was going to visit my mother who lives overseas and was going to give her something cute, that's why I ordered several items from Things Remembered and paid for an expedited shipping so I could have them a couple of days before the trip to Germany. But nothing arrived. I called them, they sad they haven't shipped anything yet. I asked them to do this, they refused and said that everything will be done on a first-come.
So I guess there are no exclusions for people who pay extra?
Order from them if you have enough time to wait forever. Terrible.
disappointing customer service
On Saturday 12/09 i went to the location in Queens Center Mall, upon arrival I was not greeted, I was looked at up and down and I had to go and ask for help. I chose a flask and wanted it engraved. I was told it was a 40 minute wait. When I went to pick it up it had an error on it. Unfortunately the store manager was extremely rude telling me that it couldn't be fixed because what I wrote on the paper to them looked like an "a" when it was actually an "o". I was very passive about the situation but as a store manager I would of expected a better response. She had a nasty attitude and it honestly made me feel disappointed to even get something from there to give someone as a Christmas gift. I won't be purchasing anything from this location anymore

Customer service
On November 28 @ 21:10, I shopped your location @ West Town Mall#455 7600 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37919.
My first visit was @ 21:00 to check out you're BOGOHO sale. As usual beautifully set up store with beautiful items all placed nicely. This is inviting, making you want to shop here.
This was not a planned gift stop, just a fly by visit. I wanted Bracelets, after shopping for just a few minutes.
When my aunt and I asked for help, the Sales Associate never looked us in the eyes, or made friendly conversation. Nor did she speak or introduce herself. She was mad and rude with a hateful look on her face. Her body jesters alone made me feel very uncomfortable and rushed. I asked her If I could see a child bracelet as well as a mans. She took them out set them on the counter.
I began to ask her about engraving them. She replied, "she could engrave anything I wanted". I said, "great" I then brainstormed but just did not know what I wanted engraved, then I saw the book with all the styles and saying's. I asked her If I could look at these, as I apologized for coming in late. No reply from her.
I looked up and she was gone half across the store to the register where the other employee was. My aunt and I looked at one another and had a few comments to each other.
Then the other employee comes over, she never introduced herself either. I found a script I wanted engraved, the young lady yells to the other one the script I wanted, the first employee that left us says, " You can't put that long of a statement on the bracelet". Now why did she say, "anything could be" then turn around and say, "No, that's to big"? She made It known to us that she's the one that does the engraving. As if I care who does it.
I tried to find another statement, again the same process took place only then the original one that helped us decided to walk over there to us and give me a rude look .She states, "you can only put 2 small lines of words on there"...I looked at her and the other associate I said, "Forget it, Ill pay for these and come back tomorrow".
After being rudely treated and disrespected my aunt and I decided to go ahead, purchase them then come back the following day to speak to a manager. After associate and I exchange words, I let it be known how rude she was to us while paying. No apology came out of their mouths.
After I thought all night and realized the holiday shopping that was still going on, I became really mad, so I never went back. That is UNTIL I decided to return my purchased merchandise. I refused to go spend my money helping to pay the wages of these associates working in this store.
So, we walk up to the register, the original two associates were there with a third girl. One Asked, Can I help you", I said, "yes, I want to return these". No questions were asked except. "Anything wrong with these"? The third girl laughs and says "AHHH" and laughs as she walks off. After I said why I was returning them.
Returned 12/07/2016 @ 19:33 EMPL:2612 Customer #[protected]
I had only purchased $40.42 in merchandise, witch for managers and owners we know the amount spent is not of importance, it's about gaining customer loyalty to our stores, as well as word of mouth & repeat shoppers.
Customer service is terrible there. The associates are so rude...

I would expect that if you would like me to continue to be a spending loyal customer, I receive a major compensation for my inconvenience of this last shopping trip
no help
I have purchased several items from www.thingsremembered.com and received my order in reasonable time and was very happy about my order, but two items were missing.
I wanted to contact customer service about the missing items but no one ever replied. I also called but there was no response either.
I really liked everything I received but I'm very disappointed that no help was provided.
