security deposit kept for not cleaning the unit
We stayed at the conroe park for our family reunion and was required to pay a deposit of 100.00 which was fine. We were unable to check in until 4:00 which is usually due to the units being cleaned prior to our check in. Well when we checked out we did not make the beds are wash the dishes prior to our departure. I have stayed at plenty of of resorts and i have never been required to clean the unit. Also if this was required in order to receive our full deposit back then this should have been noted during check in. Beware that the resort is not clean if they are depending on the tenants to clean these units. We are not even sure if the linen on the beds are being cleaned if they are requiring that it is cleaned prior to leaving.
I am complaining on a reservation that I wanted to book with pio pico
I use to be a member of Thousand Trails years ago. But I decide to cancel the membership when it went public because I filled that I was being mistreated when the non-members received better RV camp ground locations. I called numerous times to complaint and cancel my membership but all of received was the run around. I even mailed a cancellation request and still Thousand Trail did not post on the account as canceled. So time when by and one day I received a call that I owed $1, 500.00 in maintenance fees. I refused to pay because I assumed the Thousand Trail had cancelled my membership per my request thorough numerous calls and mailing of my written request I submitted. We got send to collection and we decided to paid off the debt because we didn't want to have that on our credit. Now I tryed to make a reservation for an event that I am coordinating gor July 29th, 2017 and thinking because I paid off the debt I would come back and restart my membership. Not being aware that I had to pay maintenance fees still for 2016 and 2017 which total $1, 700.00. So I told Trisha I couldn't pay $1, 700.00 at the moment and don't feel that I should when I haven't been there for years. So I asked if I can book my event which would take place on July 29th, 2017 as a non-member and pay the non-member fee for seven cabins and some of these people that I was taking wanted to buy a time share because I made the mistake of telling them how wonderful your resource was. When I called Elena at (619) Pio Pico to book as a non-member she stated that I couldn't until I pay the other maintenance. So I told her that I wanted to book as a non-member and I was bring a large group of people she apologized and stated that it was our of her hands that April [protected] ex. 5306 (Trisha) post on the account to not allow me to book anything not even as a non-member. Again another BAD experiences at Pio Pico. I can't believe that you have such unexperience "business people in charge" . I can't believe they're letting go of almost $2, 000.00 for over a weekend. Just because of a miscommunication on their part. It seems to me that they are very disorganized. I will never recommend Thousand Trails to no one ever. In fact I will place a complain with the Better Business Bureau. Thank you

handling of mail
We are TT members (#[protected]) and recently stayed at Yosemite Lakes.
We were expecting a package during our time there and advised the front desk who were fine with this. However, the package arrived after our departure date.
We have tried to phone the site (no reply, left several messages) and e-mailed on two occasions, also no response.
Could someone please take responsibility for this and advise the status. We will be at Golden Shores RV resort, 101 Golden Shore, Long Beach CA from 15th thru 18th so this is probably the best forwarding address now.
Please confirm receipt of this message and keep me advised of progress.

Recently while staying at the san benito thousands trail resort in ca (12/12 / 16) - (12/22/16) , I was asked to leave and not visit another tt resort for 60 days. This occurred several days after I asked an employee (Kenya) why she was speeding. She then filed a complaint stating that I had threatened her and caused a public disturbance, none of which happened. There is no manager representing the company presently on site thus a business manager had me removed without explaining properly why.
This is so disturbing. My family & I have been members of Thousand Trails for years. I have wonderful childhood memories that were spent at this San Benito location. Now that we are adults we want the same for our children. Kenya has also ruined it for us. She is very unprofessional! Even speaking with the staff, they don't want to deal with her. How is it possible that she is still there. She is the reason we will not return.
service
Checked in today at Thousand Trails in Morgan Hill, Ca. for the long weekend and was told that the pool might not be open at all this weekend. I came with my grandchildren what a big disappointment. I am not sure why they waited till the day before the big holiday crowd comes in to try and fix the pool. Not sure what to do now, its suposed to be around 85 degrees here this weekend. I am sure there are going to be alot of mad people here. I can't believe that with all the money people spend on these memberships that the place doesn't have everything working like it should. Oh and there are no tables or grills in the sites, we did find a table at an empty site but it was broke, so I am going to call corporate tomorrow hopefully they can help with these problems.
maxpass
We were camping and asked to look at the Thousand Trails membership packages. We sat down with one of the representatives JoAnn Rohn who explained how the Max Pass membership worked. She made it sound like you have a number of camping resorts that you can camp at and the first 30 night would be free. There were bonus resorts that you were also able to use free for the first 30 nights. Well then you look into it the bonus resorts had 4 sites the a lot for the membership no matter how many other sites were empty. So if you think you would ever be able to stay in the bonus site you are wrong. Then we were able to get a resort booked to find out that you get put on a site with no sewer, then each day you have to see if you were picked to mover to a site with a sewer. Just what I want to do unhook and move in the middle of my vacation. Its a scam don't waste your money on this join Passport America you get your money back the firs time you use it and you get to use it.
Moving to another site is a minor inconvenience, max pass is worth it, first 30 days free then 3 dollars per night with one week out of network per month, move park to park every 4 days with no out of network time at 3 dollars per night 60 bucks per month you cant beat it, and if you travel alot basic elite membership 21 days and, park to park with no park fee is this heaven
harassment over cancelled membership!
In 2012 we purchased a 1 year membership from Thousand Trails. Unfortunately due to a sudden onset of ill heath we were only able to use the membership twice. So when the renewal date came up we cancelled our membership and did not renew. Now it is 2015 and Thousand Trails is claiming we now owe them almost $1200 in back dues and fees for the years 2013 and...

We have been members of 1000 trails in good standing for over 15 years we first got the membership when our children you in grade school and we enjoyed our family times at 1000 trails lake of the springs. We loved the fact that it was a members only campground and the affordability for a young family. A few years ago the campground was taken over by Leisure Time and the park just declined from there our dues went up the service went down they opened the park to the public and that was the last straw for me. We decided to cancel our membership I informed the members services and they informed me that both my signature and that of my husband were needed to cancel the membership. I explained that my husband works on a forest fire crew and is unreachable 6mo our of the year. I was told that there was nothing they could do that I would continue to be responsible for the dues until I could get both signatures. I was constantly harassed up to 6 phone calls a day then I was told that I could have my husband e-mail a letter and I could e-mail a letter and they would accept that why was that not an option before. Then they threatened to send me to collections if I did not send the final payment in I was disputing the final payment because I wanted them to set it back to when I originally tried to cancel. I was threatened with bad credit and when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was denied that as well. This company is a disgrace and I strongly advise the public not to get caught up in the web of deception.
Crooks! They are still taking monthly payments from our bank and we cancelled July 2019. I see so many that I am looking into a class action suit.
I agree. However, as I recall, the signatures have to be notarized. There should have been a way to send them in separately.
You should have just forged his signature instead of letting your debts go delinquent.
It was a great resort until they opened up the retail section and also allowed members to purchase sights. These are usually but not always prime sights. The outcome is the same however, fewer decent sight for the rest of us.
Disgusting
Our family has been members of the Thousand Trails "family" for many years and we always happy with our choices of facilities, the employees, etc. Several years ago, EquityLifestyles purchased TT, and the entire feel of the company changed. The parks available is more limited, and the condition of the parks, and especially the employees, have changed...

Thousand trails / equity lifestyles has bought out outdoor world. Over the past 4 years we have seen the dues go up and the quality of the campground facilities go down. They have started selling encore, a zoned membership. However, the old outdoor world customers membership fees keep rising. I believe they are trying to force the ow members to give up...
