We moved in our Park Home in May 2022, upon arrival we noticed the flooring was damaged. We took the plastic cover off the bed to find a hole and black marks where the mattress had been dragged on the ground. Kitchen window glass had not been fitting correctly. Kitchen, where the sink is all the unit had lifted off. Bathroom unit all the shelving wa...

Moved into our new home in Saltburn in March 2022. Found 45 snagging points and counting! Many windows to replace, Kitchen units and tops chipped, utility room...still not able to use all cupboards due to poor workmanship ,floor scratched to bits, fireplace to replace, tiled bathroom floor uneven, wardrobe doors scratched and ill fitting, etc etc! There is no quality control with this company and even a Tingdene manager said it should not have come out in this state! Customer service is a farce with promises of getting things sorted...still waiting 8 months on! Need I say more?
Desired outcome: To fix our home and come up with a compensation offer for all the stress caused.

Replacement window
One of our double glazing units became faulty in Feb 2022, we arranged with Tingdene for a replacement which they said was free.
Their engineer came in March but the window he brought was the wrong size, something we predicted would happen based on previous experiences.
We then called them every month for an update each time being told its all in hand but then nothing happened.
Eventually we were told a replacement would be brought on Oct 4th 2022 and there was a fitting charge of £140. The first time any charge had been mentioned.
We waited in on Oct 4th and at midday when nobody had visited I called Tingdene to be told they were not coming today. We were not surprised.
Tingdene’s customer service in the past two years has become terrible if you are considering buying a home from them you should think very carefully about using a company that cannot look after you once it has been delivered.
I am very surprised this is the first review for Tingdene on Trust Pilot there are plenty of complaints about them on sites like complaintsboard.com
Substandard /missing items
I moved into 11 cherry mews Cw9 6rq in December 2021.
From the start at the handover I was told that anything wrong just note the down and they would be dealt with after new year as NO ONE would want to know until then.
.
I submitted the list after new year and am still waiting for the things to be done. The list is below
Wrong / damaged cabinet for fridge freezer
French doors cannot use and -not as I ordered
Washing machine intergrated Door No fixing holes
Kitchen Worktop fabric has lifted
No waldrobe doors in second bedroom
Shelf on dividing wall too small
Grouting in kitchen VERY poor and gappy
Cooker hood not working properly
Missing items on outside of home
When I complained that the shed I had paid for and expected to be there to put the items not needed at that time I was told by customer support department to send my complaint to the person I was complaining about as it wasn't their concern.
Since them I have been told that I should not be contacting the customer support team only Tingdene parks can talk to them
I have email and some pictures and will have them printed if needed.
Desired outcome: All jobs to be rectified so I can enjoy my home which I paid for.
Ripped off by tingdene. They take your money but don't expect any support after the first 2 years.
We have a Tingdene Park Home that we purchased from new, five years ago. In the first few weeks we provided our "Snags" list and then again after 6 months.
Our bathroom and en-suite tiles were not laid on a membrane to aid with movement and have cracked and been replace twice in the first year. The plumbing under the sink was not sealed due to the pipework not being the correct length and was forced together. We have now had a really bad "eggy" smell for the last 5 weeks and having spent days trying to find the cause. We have found the plumbing under the park home has been leaking for weeks. Tingdene Parks have stated that it is the responsibility of Tingdene Homes and Tingdene Homes have said it is the responsibility of Tingdene Parks. Tingdene Homes said we need to claim on our 10 year warranty with Park Assist. Park Assist said the warranty (after year 2) only covers the roof, load bearing walls, floor and chassis. We have called Wessex Water to check for blockages in the pipes and leaks, and they have said that there is nothing more they can do. We then called and paid for Dynorod (adivised by our "Park Manager") who said that they had never seen plumbing like it in their life before. "Totally bodged and wrong connections used (Pan connector normally used to connect the toilet to the soil pipe internally, but was being used under the park home to connect the house to the soil pipe). No supports on the pipes and a banana bend from the sink pipes under the home which would eventually cause a build up of waste and burst under pressure.
We have now called and paid for an emergency plumber to stop the waste water flooding out under the caravan which has been giving off a putrid smell for now over 2.5 weeks and we have no sink or dishwasher and have been told to collect the kitchen waste in a bucket and pour it down the toilet or throw it over the garden. Both inside and outside the property we are breathing in a putrid smell that is making us feel sick and giving us sore throats and headaches. We have 2 x separate reports that clearly states that the original plumbing installation was"Not fit for purpose". We are waiting for Citizen's Advice to contact us, we have the council, trading standards and our councillor and MP looking into the situation and are taking legal advice with other unhappy residents on the park.
Service charges
We have been billed a extra 307 pounds for water we purchased the chalet in July 22nd 2021 the leaks happened before we purchased we have written explaining that we should not have to pay this our solicitor letter informed us of the charges from 22/7/21 to 31/12/22
Ofwat regulations state that we should only pay for the water from the date we we took ownership but not the delightful park Manager who has no experience in running humberston fitties cleethorpes told us that our solicitor should have notified us of extra charges but this company who got the lease off north east Lincolnshire Council on a 125 year lease show nothing to chalet owners only thing about this company is money
If anyone can help us we have lots more people who purchased throughout 2021 is the same situation
Overstone
What a shambles new overstone quality very very poor witnessed by many of tingdene personnel inc quality manager what a joke they made 4 lists of defects and still 4 months after delivery still as bad the jobs that have been attended to are no better than the poor workmanship used in factory issues with doors 3 r0und windows more like a battered 50 pence piece furniture missing what was there was wrong furniture as sold from website different layout as sold from website leaking windows exterior bubbling damaged units lights in kitchen wrong cupboard doors not closing
Desired outcome: Refund and take this bodged up box away
flooding
Number 16 was built at a higher level home causing flooding I got in touch with council and it was slightly resolved ( because they only done half a job of rectifying the issue) but now they have giving permission for number 16 to laid a stone patio over what drainage so u can now imagine that this is causing more of a problem I have email Tingdene to just get a response saying that they understand my concerns, emailed them back showing pictures of the flooded area and now they are totally ignoring me, now this is playing on my mind that I can't sleep and getting very upset with the situation as I fought so hard last time just to get a bit of pipe.
Bacton norfolk holiday home
My elderly mother who wanted to retire by the sea in norfolk made what she said was the biggest mistake of her life buying a chalet at Rainbows end in bacton. Problems started as soon as she moved in, damp patches, musty smells, badly fitted windows to name a few. She complained to tingdene but they refused to offer any help. Once they had her money they didnt care at all. The park was also a constant building site full of workmenvans, debris not exactly relaxing. My poor mother began suffering from depression and just wanted to get out, she was offered only half what she paid by tingdene. Problems were even worse in winter when the access road became unpassable to normal cars you needed a 4x4 to get to your chalet. Dozens of potholes some more like craters. When this was pointed out to tingdene they refused outright to improve the access road and said wasnt their responsibility. We later found out it is their responsibility being an unadopted road all frontagers are responsible. The cost of fixing the car every few months due to the pothole damage was the final straw. My mother sold what was supposed to be her retirement dream for half the price she paid but she is so much happier shes free of tingdene now. Do not buy any holiday home at the so called rainbows end if you value your health.
my brother is on the same site...nothing but problems with his home and no help from the park managers... avoid this company and go esewhere
Poor quality build and refusal to repair
Tingdene Homes let me down badly leaving me with a side door which doesn't fit properly due to the wall being uneven, windows which were never sealed properly and overall poor workmanship throughout the property. I is highly likely the supporting wood underneath has never been treated. They started repairing the utility room, door and kitchen and have now left me with a half decorated utility room and kitchen. The floor covering was left ripped and I have tripped over it several times. They went into administration this year and although the same staff are still employed, they refuse to repair anything now.
My son had to repair the seals around each window and found severe damp and the stucco just peeled off like wrapping paper, he also found the bay window had been fitted to crooked walls.
For over 6 years I have struggled to get this manufacturer to fix their faulty workmanship and it has been like flogging a dead horse.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Hi all I have also had problems with Tingdene over the past year, my advice would read the reviews as not many good ones wish I had ,as once you have paid in full it’s a nightmare from then on and totally agree with all other complaints
Well, where can I start? I'll start with the person who came & promised us a high-end Havana lodge, he came when it was delivered and promised to sort out the complaints, also taking my order for extra curtains, tiebacks.
We have had it a year now & only now a year later we have had our complaints sorted... We were promised the earth by the sales man & got nowhere with him didn't even answer his phone! 6 months after that the director of the company appeared again promising to get things sorted for us, patio doors wouldn't lock, the utility room door was out, endless complaints... Once again then refused to answer his phone, emails or messages...The aftercare is shocking...If it wasn't for the team of men from the factory, I seriously would have taken it further...They were brilliant it took a couple of visits to put all the complaints right but what a team! Would I buy another? No definitely not...So I'm naming these guys who went out of their way to make my holiday home somewhere, at last, I can enjoy...So thank you Joe Lismore. Noel Leeham.. Malcolm Lake & James Reed... Tingdean you let yourselves down with your aftercare...You need to employ people who ain't afraid to answer their phones when you have complaints.
Barnsdale Lodge
Tingdene Barnsdale lodge
We purchased a Tingdene Park home (50'x20' Barnsdale Lodge). This was purchased 20/07/2007 and delivered on the 26/11/2007. As mentioned in other peoples complaints once they have your money(you have to pay up front or they don't deliver) they treat you like ****.
The transport company and siter was Titans Transport was informed by Tingdene homes this was the best company that they used to transport and site our home. We were not impressed with the siter's as they complained that the 25 metre entrance on to our site was not large enough for the lorry to get into, then when they were manoeuvring the two sides into position they collided into each other causing considerable damage to the exterior logs which then needed to be replaced, the siters then proceeded to connect the two sides together and it was pouring down with rain and they instructed a very young lad who had been working with them for only two weeks to go onto the roof and to do the connections and fit the ridge tiles in doing so he walked on the Decra Park tiles denting in excess of thirty tiles which at the time we did not know about. When the siter's had finished we had our own electrician and gas engineer commission the park home and we inspected the sited home, the faults were numerous (to many to list here). Our gas engineer found the the combi boiler was faulty so we could not move into our park home until after Christmas 2007 OVER A MONTH TO FIX A FAULTY BOILER.
Tingdene response its a wooden home and things do come adrift when the two sides are being transported.
We have 15 engineers job sheets that he left with us that's without the ones he took back (with notes on for the remedial work that still needed to be carried out), The first job sheet had 61 faults that needed to be rectified this was started in February 2008.
We have had most of the faults rectified to a fashion (and some of them are still on going) by an engineer that was called Darren the (bodge it man my Wife called him) who when was told about the dented roof tiles he said he was instructed to get on the roof drill holes in all the dented tiles insert a screw and pull the dent out then fill the screw hole with mastic which we were told by Tingdene was not the correct way to remedy the fault and sent him back to us to replace the tiles that he drilled with new ones in doing this he managed to rip the felt under the roof tiles by putting his foot through it in numerous places. We have had trouble with the roof ever since and it still leaks TODAY. The last visit by Tingdene engineers was in April 2010 a group of 4 of them to try and rectify the faults from day one and the new ones that was made by other engineers they did do most of the faults and it all looked great but then we have had torrential downpour's and the faults that were supposed to have been repaired are still in evidence.
We have managed to live with and rectify some of the faults ourselves even though I am over 60 years old but the roof fault has gradually got worse and now the water pours in through the roof and has damaged most of the ceilings and walls in our Park Home. The response that we have been getting is that your home is out of warranty and they have done everything that they needed to if we had spent more money and taken out there insurance we could have still been covered for the leaking roof that has been faulty from day one.
We live on a campsite that we own and was intending to buy more Tingdene park homes to fill our five acre site but after the fiasco with our own park home I don't think so and as for the HELPDESK it is the most unhelpful help desk that's in existence and the managers who say that they will call you back NEVER DO.(always seems to be in meetings when you try to contact them).
ARE WE HAPPY WITH OUR TINGDENE HOME.
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
mobile home
Designed and purchased a Tingdene manufactured Lodge. Initial customer support on build was OK. But mis sold the properties of their Termo wood by park operator (Billing Aquadrome Pure leisure) and Tingdene. Now wood has patchy colours and extensive mould after 6 months . Had a 5 month battle to re-fit a terrible mismatch of a white kitchen. Multiple...

I have a story to tell about being ripped off by Tingdene Park Homes. They installed the wrong kitchen which they have admitted and now after five months of dragging their heels they are not going to install the right kitchen, wardrobe doors not fitting properly after being adjusted four times it needs a complete new frame and doors. They have made a clear...
