The home buildin process wasnt that bad but it wasnt super professional either. They hung my corner windows crooked and refused to inspect them after I brought it to their attention over the course of a month or so. They told me it was an optical illusion. They eventually had to rip the siding out to rehang them. One of their onsite managers divulged personal financial information about the elderly couple building across from us. Then 2 years later came to find out that someone in their office had divulged personal information about us to a TK family member. This family member has a violent criminal history dating back nearly 20 years. The owner denied it 100% despite having no way to actually know whether someone employed by him could have possibly done it. Mark *** is very rude, possibly getting a little old to be running a company with any type of professionalism. I would 100% avoid building a home with them.

Tk Constructors, located at 2224 N Cammack St. in Muncie, IN, is not the one in Kentucky. They didn't do several warranty items that were on my list from January . *** won't fix or talk to me. No new things were done. The crawl space needs to be finished to stop mold. The west wall outside has several warped studs. The master bedroom has a significant floor bounce. The crew damaged the new bifold door when cutting it. They used drywall mud to fix/replace it. The attic insulation was mashed down at least 1 foot by the workers. The interior door jambs/casings were cut too short. Mark Thurston, the owner, won't finish the job. He says they made too many trips already. That was *** sending them to do one item per trip from the 4-page list I submitted in January . There are no new items except the bifold door the crew damaged.

TK Constructors built our house last summer. Their sub-contractors didn't pack down the dirt around the septic areas, the trench they made to our barn, our well area, and another trench the septic guy made in the wrong place (without asking us beforehand). The dirt sunk in/settled, and there are big "lines"/holes on our property including where our dogs run, and it's a safety issue. I've been asking them to bring more dirt out to fill and pack them in since early November, but they haven't. A lot was weather dependent (we had a lot of rain), but nobody communicated anything to me at all. I emailed them again last week, but got no reply from anyone (I had 5 people from TK Constructors on that email). The seeding job they did around the house didn't take, either, and we paid good money for that. They also left a medium-sized mound of dirt by the septic area, and I ended up having to fill in what I could with what was left since they never did. Terrible customer service and communication.

I got TK to build my house in July . Before they started building, the supervisor said we needed an elevated foundation to connect to the septic tank. I agreed to pay extra for the block foundation. The foundation was built, and the builder said it was good for gravity to the septic. But when we tried to connect to the septic, there was no gravity. We found out that they didn't add the extra block to raise the foundation. The regional manager offered to raise the plumbing under the house, but they cut the main support beams, which messed up the support of the house. They broke the contract by not raising the foundation, and now we're stressed about the septic clogging. The state minimum code can't be achieved because of their negligence. They haven't been much help, and they changed the contract and blueprints without my permission. It's a breach of contract.
