ripping drivers off
Trans am trucking lie to their drivers to get their truck payments and the govt money. They have an agreement with the govt to employ x amount of drivers every month. Try and be a driver of trans am you get no miles and you are talked down to like a child. I have over 20 years experince driving. No one talks to me like they think they can. You are kept at a certain amount of miles to pay for the truck and boy if you have a family forget it - no money goes home to them - their fees and bs are unbelievable - the bones of the thing is to many trucks not enough freight and if you look at their ads they sound great but ask yourself how? We have since left them and they are taking every dime i made for their truck for two whole weeks plus my maintence accounts and personal money i saved a side for an emergancy - unbelievable a company like that gets away with it - oh yeah go to their office they are locked up tighter than fort knox now we know why screw the driver and toss them aside -

Trans am fired me for no reason then stole my money out maintenance accounts and also my final check. I returned their equipment in pristine condition new tires and they still found a reason to steal my money. Government please help. These guys are stealing money from contractors im out more than 2500 dollars this company stole.
As my husband and I was traveling on I-20 east in Clinton headed to Jackson then truck driver was not paying attention and almost got over on us while traveling to left lane and as we passed his truck he threw a finger sign at us trailer #306814 Tag # 506283
There are five I found called attorneys whoops
If you want to look under Trans am lawsuits there are lawsuits
The lease purchase program started with Riss International /World Leasing & Richard Riss in the late 60's. It was bogus then as it is now with any company that is involved with this. How many of these trucks have had multiple "Owners"? Truth of the matter, these trucks have been paid for multiple times. Few if any ever "owned" these lease purchase trucks. There have been numerous law suits regarding same. Riss actually went bankrupt and was out of business by th1990s, after at one time being the largest trucking company in the United States.
I am a student looking to get experience with them. I see complaints about o/o but I don't see anything about company driver, positive or negative. Are their any company drivers that can give me pros and cons?
Trans am is one of the worst companies I ever operated for I was a lease purchase driver or a ripped off renter drivers don't fall for their lies to sucker you into driving for them and I've been driving for 20 years if you think they hire you to quick a good company don't move that fast trans Am has a bunch of bad drivers as well that wrecks up equipment and they will base your skills off that other driver transam don't have freight they have a partial wal mart run a beef run and dollar tree neither three pays anything according to transam they only have freight to east of Missouri according to them but always have 13 trucks on the west coast when I quit I turned in locks and all to the shop and was charged double for them transam only run you enough to pay their truck payments after that your screwed they have a bunch of little kids trying to dispatch trucks and one fat Sarah my old or dispatcher you never deliver loads everything is the called regularly if the load is 800 miles you have to share the miles with 3 other drivers and the trucks are all over rated and over charged for they even have a five cent per mile charge that they can't even explain the trucks are weak and slow but do have nice cameras in them they are suppose to be a part of accident prevention. That records if you are ever hit they show everything inside and out of the truck but they go off every bump you hit and record nothing this company is so bad the day of our orientation. They had drivers bring their trucks back and quit that left more ### trucks to choose from if you like making 200 to 300 dollars a week being an owner operator then run for these crooks if you have a family and got bills keep on job hunting transam charges for everything and has a driver's lounge that shuts down and lock up at 5 every evening thirsty want a snack forget about it long story short they will violate every agreement on their lease or contract they are small and have no freight they are a ### company and don't waste your time driving for them my new company I left them for I've done made in one week what I made with them in three months straight no home time I'm not kidding get in touch with me ill email you my check stubbs never ran over 2500 miles always under 1800 miles seriously that's why I'm suing this ### company breech of contract
I went to work for TransAM, mistakenly went lease. So much of a mistake. Now, I am getting my life back, never had any home time, had to always request it to get back Virginia when I was out in Iowa or the Northeast area.
The last paycheck, made a WHOLE 1 DOLLAR.
I know that the average education level of an OTR driver is very low, but you have to be a special kind of stupid to lease a truck at ANY company. The whole point is for the company to make money...not you. You have to take Trans Am for what it is worth. It is a good starter company for new drivers. It is felon friendly. It will not get you rich, but will provide for your needs. It is not a local job, so drivers with families or who need a lot of home time should not be OTR drivers anyway. They do have nice, fairly new equipment, nice benefits package. Complainers usually are the type of people who are institutionalized, so nothing ever pleases them. I am grateful for an opportunity to get my life together and make decent money. I never let someone else's opinion guide my destiny.
My bf worked for TrasAm and was a L/O his first truck coasted him more money then he made do to it being in the shop a lot. They don't fix crap when you tell them something is wrong with the truck. He was luck if he made 600.00 after payment n etc came out of his check. Second truck was a nice truck but had problems with low voltage and he told them about it when they was going over the truck n writing down the things he pointed out to them n the e log would log him out going down the road n drive cam would go off backing under a trailer to hock up to it, fuel gage was wrong. He even gave them a 3 week notice saying he was quoting and stayed out over the holidays like they asked him and he quiet on January 4, 2016 and still hasn't revived his last two weeks of pay or the holiday bones pay. They would send other drivers to get him to swoop loads with and would call him and tell him to go to this location or that location to swoop loads when he told them he would be where he was to deliver at x time and they would say you are x miles away when he was close to where he need to deliver. How do I know any of this because I lived in the t 700 tht was a pos till he got the t680 14 truck n was with him all this time. They are not a great company to work for. He is still waiting on them to send his last two weeks pay and the holiday bones. Its only a started company. If you lease there truck you rent the apu and if something ain't covered under kW warenty you pay for it to be fixed...
