On Oct. 23, 2023, I was on the United Airlines web site and decided to purchase 2 round trip tickets. Somehow I was switched to Trip Front, although I did not recognize it had happened. The next day, Oct.24, we were traveling on the highway to FL when I received a phone call from Trip Front saying that I owed an additional $107.76. The girl I was speaking to had such a strong accent that I could not understand why we were getting an extra charge, but I didn't want to lose the tickets, so I approved the charge. When we arrived in FL I was able to follow up on it. I called American Express to make a fraud report, and they told me I should wait 2 billing cycles first. I called Eve at Trip Front. She said they would refund it in 7-10 days, and if it wasn't, I should call her back. I did call her, and she was "unavailable." On Jan. 6 American Express recommended that I ask to speak to a supervisor and inquire about the status of the refund (the exact date the refund was submitted.) I told American Express that I had tried to call Trip Front and the man answering hung up on me after I had waited 5 min. on hold. I tried calling Trip Front again and Mathew answered. He took my info and said someone would call in 4-24 hrs. No one has ever called back and I have not received a refund on my American Express account.
I have a letter that I received from Trip Front on Nov. 10 saying "We have submitted a refund request in the amount of $107.76 USD to be refunded back to your original form of payment." I still have not received that refund.
Claimed loss: $107.76
Desired outcome: I want a refund of $107.76
