It’s like they want us to delete it
I used to really enjoy playing this game. That being said, move the side missions up top somewhere because on the sides I can’t collect from my third card unless I don’t delete my old games. How are all these ridiculous questions getting through? It seems like 13 year olds are the only ones submitting questions but they’re safe because it’s another group of 13 year olds reviewing them. Spelling and grammar errors aside there are questions with wrong answers set as the correct one, questions that are too long to read and still check all the answer choices before choosing one, questions that do have the correct answer but the other three choices are so far from consideration that there’s no thinking involved at all. My favorite though are the questions that are so specific they could be the bonus question on an honors college exam. I’ve got a strange feeling that it’s not overachieving scholars that are submitting them either, it’s the 13 year olds going through an encyclopedia they found in the garage because we all have a set but they take up too much space now that we can google everything. Ease up on flooding the entertainment section with so much brand new stuff. Add it in for sure but entertainment trivia that predates 2015 is still current. If a question doesn’t fit naturally into one of the subjects don’t force it, delete it because it’s usually garbage. I appreciate being able to find an explanation for why the VIP cards keep going up in price but how about your reasoning for only giving 9 hours per round now. I can’t access internet while I’m working and that’s 8-16 hours a day. Why should I have to lose a game because some genius thought going from 48 hours to 9 hours was reasonable.
In need of a massive overhaul
This game used to be fun. Now it is frustrating.
The gems collected are useless for those who a regular players. The gems can only be used to “buy” cards, but there haven’t been any new cards in over a year. I have thousands of gems that I will never use. They should look at the wheel you can spin when you answer a question wrong and replace the gem spots with tickets or right answers.
They used to have mission lasting Monday-Thursday and Friday-Sunday. Then they changed to Daily Missions. Okay, fine. I was actually happier with these because you didn’t have to complete one mission before starting the next one. The missions were achievable (Win 3 Tug of Wars, answer 8 Art questions). But the past few days, my missions have been ridiculous! Get 36 characters. Win 8 survivor rounds. Answer 21 Sports questions correctly. The rewards for accomplishing these missions haven’t been increased to compensate the player. 3 Tug of War wins or 8, they are worth something like 100 points. And, the missions aren’t consistent - my mom plays and still has the reasonable missions.
There is no rhyme or reason for how questions get approved. I submitted questions years ago that are still sitting in limbo. I can’t remove them or try to get them approved. There are so many obscure, misspelled, repeated, or wrong answer questions that get approved. “Reporting” the questions goes no where.
There is also no rhyme or reason to the cost of a second chance. One time the second chance costs 1000 coins, next time it is 120 tickets. If you use a second chance and want a third, it might cost you 120, 240, or 480 tickets. It is never consistent.
I will keep playing with my mom, but it isn’t as much fun as it used to be.
Love Trivia Crack, however
Started with five stars from me. Obviously, your "Crack" team does not read/review the ratings.
Good mix of simple to difficult. It's addictive!
Have recommended to friends and they're hooked also.
Only two complaints...the app keeps asking me to rate it. I've already done so. Please fix this bug!
The second is that I've paid for the five (5) lives. I have begun to loose them! This is particularly irritating. Give me my five (5) consistent lives, or return my money! I think everyone that has this problem or similar should be compensated in some manner. Period. Give them fifty (50) free spins. Costs little to accomplish something of that nature and your ratings will go up. Do nothing in regards to compensation, and kick back and watch the results. We (as users) love our little guilty pleasures. Use that. Feed that. Wait a bit and then offer us a sale. Hmm. Might be surprised by the results a small bit of honey could do.
My rating for the game has gone from five (5) stars to three (3) because of these two complaints.
You want better ratings, you need to address all issues in as timely a manner as possible.
I love the game. I'd like to continue using it.
Come on people...you're so creative it's unbelievable. You can fix this!
Until then, three (3) stars is the best you'll get from me and if asked again to rate, I will choose the "I don't like" option. If it improves, I will rate again without prodding.
Word of mouth can work wonders. If it's positive, then great. If not, remember that people have been known to vote with their feet.
You're welcome.
Now, down to one star, as constantly ask for ratings. One more request for ratings will be an "I do not like Trivia crack". End of discussion. Drop mic!
Poorly written questions, many online cheats and horrible customer support
I find myself agreeing with several other reviewers inasmuch as it "could" be a really fun app; however, the question submission process is severely flawed. It seems if you can get 85% of semi-literate people to "vote" that the Amazon River flows through Texas, then indeed that does become the answer. Since when did correctness get decided by an eighty-five percent majority? Now while I haven't had any quite as bad as the one I show.. I'm about done with this game. It had great potential, but since they clearly won't fix the problems, I'm sticking with another trivia game app where at least they answereed above, I did get countless questions that indeed were flat out wrong. One was claiming the Mississippi River to be the longest in North America--wrong, it's the Missouri by a bunch. Then there's the "largest" river in the world being the Nile... Uh, wrong! It's the Amazon. Oh and one question was about hydrogen "molecules" in an "atom" of WATER! And then there was the "ancient city of... Acropolis..." In Athens. There have been many, many others but I think you get the point.
And that doesn't take into consideration all of the questions with horrible syntax, grammar, and spelling errors--they abound, and there's nothing you can do about it. As for "help" or "customer service" it's not just bad--- it's non existent! And this latest "update" is HORRIBLE, but don't bother telling them... As long as some are dumb enough to pay for coins and lives...it seems they could care less!
Finally, I asked them why I wasn't being credited for submitted questions and three weeks later I am still waiting for a reply. As another reviewer has already posted, it seems they have no real interest in anything you say because they just do not reply
Trivia Crack Team Should Be Embarrassed!
Technically and graphically, Trivia Crack is great. However, questions are user submitted and the majority are riddled with grammar, spelling, or punctuation errors, making some indecipherable. I’ve also found and reported numerous incorrect questions.
At least 30-40% are repeats - dozens ask about the Mona Lisa, for example - all are worded slightly differently and have popped up in almost every game I’ve played. Folks: Trivia is limitless! It seems extremely lazy on the part of developers to publish so many repeats and to not screen these questions before publishing. They desperately need someone on staff to clean things up. It affects the credibility of the game and takes away from the fun.
Also, some questions are so basic a 3-year old could answer. (Ex: A picture of a cat with the question “What is this?” Please!) Others are ridiculously specific (“When did WWII end?” and there will be four consecutive dates in the same year). In some cases, inane responses like “ur mom” or “an old gram pa” (
Addictive and engaging trivia
This app is kind of a fun mix of other trivia games that are classics. In the game's classic mode it is similar to Trivial Pursuit, where you collect characters akin to the wedges of the old game that each represent a category of trivia. Like the old game, the first one to collect each category's character wins. The great additions and twists that Trivia Crack introduces include the in-game challenges where you risk one of your characters to steal one of theirs by answering rapid fire style questions, one from each category. The other unique aspect of Trivia Crack that I find fun are the cheats you can use like free spins when you want to avoid your weakest category and the four mini cheat options that are available on every question if you have enough coins. I find the system of collecting cards that you can use to accumulate coins, free spins, and extra lives as a fun way to keep you playing the game in the long term. It makes you want to collect all of the cards. But for me, the best feature of Trivia Crack are the Friend Group Challenges you can do. They're a great way to bring other people into the game and make it more interactive as you compete with your friends and family. The only weakness that I see. In Trivia Crack is the crowd sourcing of the questions and answers. This means that some questions have mistakes or multiple right answers or are just wrong to n other ways. It also means that the difference in the difficulty of the trivia varies widely from question to question, and even though it provides a feedback system where players rate the questions the ones that get used will still vary according to what the players think is more fun, difficult or easy trivia. In spite of these problems, Trivia Crack is the most fun and engaging trivia app I've found yet.
Off to a strong start, but definitely room for improvement
For the most part, this game is pretty neat I think. A lot of the questions are fun, and of course the little cute characters representing the categories is an interesting touch. The issues I have with the game are that when submitting questions, it seems that there is a lot of bias and assumption which leads towards wrongfully flagging and rejecting questions. The other thing is the voting for the questions. I've noticed that all the questions I've suggested only reach a maximum of 40 positive votes and the rules state that questions need at least 85% positive votes to be approved for the game. Well if you do the math, that means no more then six people can give a negative vote for a question. I have suggested over 200 questions and not a single one of them have been approved for the game because it seems that when a question is reviewed, if the reviewer gets the wrong answer, they get mad and automatically flag the question. I know because I've done the same thing LOL. But the point is the question input system is flawed and I would like to see some type of implement where the author of the question has a little more power to contest the validity of the question. For example, I tried to submit the question: "what is the first name of the Simpsons character Mr. Burns," And it keeps getting flagged and tagged as wrong answer because many people mistakingly think his first name is Montgomery when in fact it is Charles. This is because in the show, when somebody refers to Mr. Burns in his "full" name, they always say C. Montgomery Burns. So that begs the question what does the C stand for? Charles. It's even on the Simpson's website. Yet, people flag it is the wrong answer without researching for themselves and it automatically goes into the rejected box. This has to be changed before people really get sick of playing the game from this annoyance.
An Appropriately Titled Trivia Game
Much like crack, this multiple-choice-test-of-a' game is life-ruiningly addictive. I've even gone so far as to stop looking in my thesaurus for real words. It's gotten very bad. I've stopped showering, stopped going out and I may have made indecent offers in return for hearts. My work has stopped calling and my kids stopped looking me in eyes. I have been unfollow and unfriended. I even paid $4 to eliminate all commercial resistance with my gameplay. I may have a problem.
Gameplay: Turn based, spin for a category. Answer three questions to fill a meter. Fill up the meter to try for a character. Six characters win the game and you get new questions until you're wrong at which point the turn changes. 25 round limit.
There are extras that let you alter questions and steal characters.
Pros:
-Seemingly endless amount of new questions due to the user question submission.
-The core gameplay of this trivia app lends itself to mobile with the turn based one-on-one games. (Only so many new games per hour.)
-Not just in tons of languages, but you can get your question translated. This adds a literal world of diversity to the types of questions.
-Community Involved: Add, translate, answer, vote, and ultimately edit questions. You help by playing. "Help good. Play good."
Cons:
-Only so many new games per hour. "Daddy NEEDS his fix."
-Some questions are lame, seem easy, or seem impossible. I've had a few that I'd even argue with someone over. These are natural occurrences with peer given question/answers and I'm learning to accept this.
-You only get to see your opponents answers if you are in a Challenge. It would feel like more of a game if there was something at the end to let you know when you've lost. Sometimes the only clue is that a person started a new game with you.
-The free version starts with a few pop-ups and quickly grows to be many. The change in pace can be infuriating for some. If you like the game by that time, you should pay the $4. It's worth it.
FIVE STARS!
An excellent trivia app, but teenagers reign
This app is a lot of fun. No pressure to pay for extras. The question factory is a voting system, the majority rules: in this case, the majority is pop-trendy, US-centric, closed minded teenagers. Ughh!
WARNING: a lot of the questions are trendy and hipster; for example: 1) Hunger Games 2) Harry Potter, 3) Claude Monet, 4) The Sistine Chapel, 5) Ninja Turtles, and 6) ice hockey. Why so many ice hockey questions? Do bored Canadians play this when they are buried in the snow?
NEWS FLASH: The US isn't the only country in the world with a civil war or a revolution. And the US isn't the only country in America. What about South, North, Latin American countries?
I'm a US citizen, and I have to say that I am embarrassed when I get a question like the following:
"When was the civil war". Or "Who was the President during the civil war?" There were so many civil wars in history, and there are current civil wars. Please, stop the ignorance!
On the Hunger Games: I really don't care about Katniss and her Hunger Games, but now I know. I really think that the movie is bad. The questions about the Hunger Games are a little excessive.
On art: It seems that the only great artist in the past millennium is Claude Monet. Yes, he has great work. But in Trivia Crack he gets far too much attention. I believe that Monet benefits from great marketing and volume of work. From history, Edouard Manet was the pioneer and father Impressionism-yet hardly one question. What about Seurat, Matisse, Van Gogh, or Degas? (Ok, Van Gogh gets a lot of attention too).
And Renaissance Art: In Trivia Crack, The Sistine Chapel reigns. What about other great works and artists? Again, the work in the Sistine Chapel amazing but it also benefits from marketing and from cultural buzz.
Positives: Users create the questions, judge and correct them. The games are quick. There are generous options for free guesses. Overall a great app - if you can tolerate the questions about Katniss and Monet.
Great Fun & Brain Workout
I love this app! I play with random opponents and several friends and they all love it too. I'm surprised at how much I know and don't know. It'll make you feel smart at times and dumb at others (not so fun).
The only issue I have with it is the section "Question Factory". I've suggested many questions and not one of them has been approved. I believe they are great questions, and not just because they are mine. It's funny because I'll see some of my questions get rejected for various reasons only to see the very same question (slightly edited) appear within the game. Now maybe they are repeated questions every time but I find it hard to believe that this can happen as many times as it has. Some of my suggestions are rare and they still get rejected then show up slightly edited. I've also seen some questions that are wrong, but they are not getting corrected. For example, I suggested the question, "What is the longest river in the U.S.? The correct answer in the Missouri River. The question in the game has the correct answer as the Mississippi River. The reason listed for the rejection of my question was "Wrong Answer". I did write an e-mail to them in the feedback section a few days ago so they might fix this but I thought I'd bring it up here anyway. I don't know what their review process is for questions, but they are missing some things. Another thing is that done questions are written poorly and could use some editing. For example, when asking about when someone may have died in the 1800s, I think having multiple choices for years instead of particular dates would suffice. If a question were to ask you when Vincent Van Gogh died, I think it's good enough to as for "1887, 1890, 1895, or 1880" instead of "July 27th, 1890, July 28th, 1890, July 29th, 1890, or July 30th, 1890". (By the way, the correct answer is July 29th, 1890.)
Okay, so after that long rant (sorry about that) I still think this is an excellent game and I definitely recommend it! Good luck future Jeopardy contestants!
The Low-brow of Trivia Apps
The good: I play often because I sometimes learn new trivial knowledge via the app and there’s a fairly wide range of topics. I also like that players can submit trivia questions as well as reports of errors in the game.
The bad: The most obvious bad thing about the app is that it is riddled and I mean riddled with spelling and grammar errors, as well as capitalization errors. There are also factual errors in a lot of the questions. They have some questions asking you to translate Spanish-English words and phrases. Either they have someone on staff who isn’t fluent in Spanish or someone who only knows Spanish vocabulary from their own country. For example, “Excuse me” can be disculpe or perdón, but you’ll get it wrong if you don’t choose the one they are partial to.
The ugly: Discrimination and overt bias. Although they allow players to suggest questions, don’t expect them to select any question submission that goes against their right-wing agenda. I’m neither Republican nor Democrat (I don’t like either side), but I can clearly see based on the questions they select and how some of them are worded, that they try and push far-right propaganda. Some questions promote Trump virtues and display Obama/Clinton failures. Again, I don’t like any of them as far as how they performed politically. I submitted a wide and diverse range of question suggestions. The ones they did not include were facts/questions about the 1921 Greenwood (Tulsa, OK) massacre (films about it, names, dates). I submitted geography questions about Europe, USA and Africa. Guess which ONE didn’t get accepted?
The Crazy: One question asked which singer is not African-American and included Beyoncé, Rihanna, SZA and Christina Aguilera. Their correct answer was Christina. Hello? Rihanna may have brown skin that you’re fixated on, but she’s not African-American. This is just one example of numerous absurdities and inaccuracies to be found in the app, which reveal a lot about the people behind the scenes (app moderators and designers).
What was good is bad, but can be good again
I love the game, always have. Been playing for two years... here's the honest breakdown of the last 6 months. Ironically you will find the same issues in pros and cons.
Pro:
VIP card machine: Great for those of us who just missed the last couple of cards.
Second Chance question: A way for people who earned tons of coins to spend them... we played a lot to get them. If we want to burn them, so be it.
Cons:
VIP card machine: RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. I need 46 gems to get a Halloween card... and that gets up to 99 gems when you have only a few left?!?
Second chance question:
Stop popping it up every question! While I have a good amount of coins, I don't want to use them every missed question. Stop overlaying the second chance every time when we are used to hitting continue. You appear to be intentionally removing coins.
Xmas Rush:
Speaking of removing coins, xmas rush was awesome. Hey, if we want to gamble our earnings away, let us. I'm down 450 coins overall, but it was still fun. Yet, you removed that option.
Announcing we won cards:
This is an old annoyance that still exists. We don't need to know we won a piece and it's just more clicking.
Heart counter:
You changed the interface to allow you to see all spins and all coins, do it for hearts too, please. This allows us to balance our card plays.
Submitting questions:
I have submitted many questions, most with 100% approval ratings, yet sitting there for a year. Even when it was a modern topic, still no movement. Either state your question selection criteria, or go with the first in, first out method. By alienating really good questions, you relegate us to modern, and often easy, pop or entertainment questions. Seriously, if I see another Sponge Bob question, I may finally delete the app.
It's ridiculous how many iterations of Yankees, Patriots, Friends, Peyton Manning, rainbow questions we get. If you are going to make this game succeed and not be a dumbed down ROY G BIV fest, get some mechanics in place where we can genuinely weed out duplicate, and dare I say, stupid questions.
I really do like this game, but you seem to be pandering to the squeaky wheels instead of the people who actually want this to be a broad and ambitious game, not a pop culture-fest.
Fun, but definitely needs improvement
Update: the current update has made it unplayable. I lost several lives just trying to start a game. I don't like winning a challenge with 30 people and only getting 15 coins. When you defeat that many people, 15 is a measly amount.
First, what I like. The game itself is fun. The options to play head-to-head with friends or random opponents and to play against a group or individuals in "speed rounds" are great. I also like the design and information in the profile.
Now, here's what I think needs work: the questions are repetitive and, as has been noted by others, have a lot of mistakes: A lot of spelling and grammar errors, some questions in wrong categories, and too many incorrect answers, which is unacceptable. I am not convinced of the effectiveness of the question submission process. Though requiring 85% acceptance rate is a strong criterion, it is still open to too much subjectivity. I have only submitted a few questions, but they are in limbo because voting stops after a period of time. I have more to say about it, but I don't believe that the people who can improve the game actually pay attention to these reviews, but I will still make the following comments. My fellow users need not read further, though I do ask that you give more challenging answer options. Too many obvious choices. Kudos to the player who caused this speed demon to incorrectly select "Henry Forcl" instead of "Henry Ford."
Too many generic questions, not enough genuinely trivial questions. You will lose players quickly.
Too many niche subcategories predominate, for example, SpongeBob, the Ninja Turtle Renaissance artists, periodic table, male-dominated sports, American-centered history, or, more accurately, 1960s history textbook questions.
And if developers are still reading, here are final suggestions. Give a game back to the winner of a group challenge. Make sure people can keep the game despite being at the max. More points for achievements and get more achievement incentives. Hire question consultants(I volunteer, for pay though! ) Finally, I have tried posting this review several times. Apparently, a glitch. But the game keeps asking to review it.
I REALLY HATE THE NEW POINTS SYSTEM, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE VALUE OF ONE OF MY CARDS IS ONLY ¼ OF WHAT IT USED TO BE. When I complained, they gave me a whopping 5000 points which was 50 under the old system. Yet I continue to play.
Argh!
WTH!?! I do love this game. It’s fun, and I keep in touch with a couple of family members by playing games. So there’s that. But... I do have some issues. Right now I have run into a problem of the game getting stuck. I answer a couple of questions, spin for the next, and it starts buffering. And buffering. I have left the app, to return to it an hour later to find it still buffering. I thought, okay I’ll try it on my phone (I have it loaded on both tablet and phone). Same thing. I tried deleting and reloading, but I answer 2 or 3 questions and it gets stuck buffering. I tried turning the device off, but the same thing occurred when I turned it back on. My sister and brother-in-law are NOT having the same issues. Also, all my other apps are working fine. Also, what does one have to do to get questions rated? I’ve been playing a while and have written 200+ questions. Many were rejected — mostly as repeated questions but, really? with all the different yet the same questions about The Starry Night, my question about MacArthur gets rejected as a repeat? I have had 36 questions accepted so YAY! but there are some rejected questions that have been in the reject list for over 7 days. Like 2 months beyond 7 days. Is there a way you can add the ability of the player to delete their own suggested questions. Seriously, if they haven’t been rated (or rated less than 100 times) in over a year, I’d just like them gone. Okay, at least fix the buffering ad infinitude problem. I can’t be the only one having it. I paid for the game and I want to get what I paid for. I’ll be glad to re-rate it then. It’s definitely a five star game.
EDIT: Well, at least the game stopped getting stuck buffering…
However, you know where, after you answer a question, you can move on by choosing “boring”, “fun”, or “continue” ? Well, I’ve been choosing fun when it’s a good question, but sometimes it isn’t really fun. You know, like what world leader’s assassination started WWI. Really good question, right? But people getting killed is not fun. Can’t you change the “boring” to a thumbs-down and the “fun” to a thumbs up?
Also, why can’t I remove some of the questions I have suggested? Some have been waiting for approval for years and have not gone to be rated. Seeing them there is frustrating and I would just rather they weren’t there. And sometimes I see mistakes in my own questions and would like to remove them.
So could the developers at least acknowledge that this has been seen?
Still pretty good
I have been playing Trivia Crack for about five years, and it still a pretty good game. It’s gone through a lot of changes, then reversal of changes and then more changes.
This is someone’s business and it’s a money maker, so I can understand why they keep tweaking the product. I pay for the ad free version so unlike every other review, I can’t complain about the ads.
A majority of the other reviews point out the spelling errors and translation issues, this still continues although it has gotten much much better. Sometimes the questions have the wrong answers that it’s pretty obvious, but it’s rare.
An example of the repeatedly wrong answer is the same question “what percentage of the earth is water”... in one question it is 70%, the same question asked slightly differently it’s 72%, 75%, 78%, or 80%, there are so many different “right answers“ for the same question. It’s ridiculous. The inverse of the question “what percentage of the earth is land“ gets the same thing, the answer in one of its variations can be anywhere from 25 to 30%.
It’s not knowing the right answers, it’s trying to figure out which answer is correct based on whoever wrote the question. Again, the translation errors contribute greatly to this.
I enjoy playing in the “crown league” but that too is very inconsistent. One week you can get into the top 20 for a medal position with 100 crowns, the next week you can’t touch even the bottom position without having 400 or more. It’s very uneven from week to week.
The big problem with the crown league is you have to play 60, 70, sometimes even 80 congruent games just to stay in the top. Because you can start a game and someone can answer you back for the next round 48 hours later. Starting a game and not being able to go to the next round, waiting on your opponent for 48 hours? Yeah, that’s a lot of fun. They really should condense the play back time to five or six hours at the most.
But anyone complains that they can’t collect coins, hearts, or diamonds simply isn’t playing the game very well. I’ve never purchased one of these things and I have 1000 hearts, I bought almost every card there is with diamonds, and I have 2.5 million in coins without having ever made a single purchase.
Overall it’s a pretty fun game, but you have to look at it as a game, friends and acquaintances have complained that they can’t win, but you just have to keep playing.
The biggest change they need to make is to delete the sports category- ITS STUPID. Unless you know who has won every one of the last 53 Super Bowls, or what jersey numbers have been retired in basketball and baseball, you’re going to lose. I understand it’s trivia, but this is just ignorant trivia in the sports category. Delete it.
Getting Worse and Worse!
Ok, so now they snuck in and removed all ability to earn spins through one of their "updates"! They have actually taken away the hard-won spin cards we have earned and replaced them with lousy heart or coin cards. This game seems to have devolved to the point of simply becoming a cash grab for the company. It is obvious that they have little respect for those of us who paid for the ad-free version of the game but would rather earn extras by actually playing the game instead of paying them through the nose for them. I am seeing less and less higher level players in the game, and I don't blame them for stopping playing this game, since the company seems intent on sucking all the life from this once fun game, and relying on new, innocent suckers who have paid for the game, but don't yet realize they are in for constantly repeated questions, bad grammer, and ridiculously specific date/time questions that are conveniently followed by a "2nd chance for 10 coins" pop-up. So sad what has happened to this game.
UPDATE: September 30, 1016
The latest updates make the questions more difficult to read by changing the game font to a lighter version, and they have begun to put video ads back in the PAID (No Ads) version. Why do they think I paid the money for the no ads version? Not Cool Guys!
And the newer questions are either ridiculously difficult, or multiple versions of the same questions over and over again. They appear to be just trying to milk this cash machine for all it's worth by forcing you to pay for more spins or coins if you want to make headway in the game. This started out as a decent game, but has gone down hill rapidly! And don't even get me started about the empty card machines! The authors don't seem to care a bit about their users. If I could give this game zero stars, I would. Ridiculous!
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I enjoy trivia games but this is just too uneven. Multiple versions of the same question, questions that are misspelled, incorrectly worded or badly translated are just a few of the quality control issues. Now they have tons of questions regarding specific years and dates for really obscure things that no one would know, which were evidently submitted by people just looking things up online or in an encyclopedia. Not only that, but the supposedly ad free version still has ads in it (at least they removed those annoying video ones). They really need to step up their curation, and also allow us to submit questions. So far I am unable to submit any. Lots of fixing needed to make this a better game. Now they are upping the cost in coins to change questions and then cutting the time you have to answer questions by a third! Very disappointed in this money grabbing change in the game and definitely do not recommend it any longer! The creators obviously care very little about the users of their game and are just looking to squeeze every last dime from them without fixing the many problems in the game. Shame on them!
Devious Changes in the Game
Although Trivia Crack (TC) has added new features that make it enjoyable to play like TRIVIA LIVE, TRIVIATHON (although not that new), & CROWN LEAGUE which allows players to earn TC coins & real money, it has implemented subtle changes that are not only frustrating but puts into question the integrity & competence of the app’s developers.
Firstly, in the missions which allows players to earn TC coins if they complete a task such as answer 30 questions in the Art category or earn 10 crowns in the Sports category, there have been some insidious changes to the software. For example, if you are not doing the missions or before you do the missions, when you spin the category wheel it may land on the Entertainment category at a constant or good rate. Sometimes I have gotten the Entertainment category 3 times in a row. However, as you as you start a mission that requires you to answer 30 questions or earn 10 crowns in the Entertainment category, the wheel will land on the Entertainment category less frequently or hardly at all. In fact sometimes it takes more than 10 turns or more to finally land on the Entertainment category. It’s really infuriating when you are trying to complete a mission but can’t because the wheel will hardly land on the category you need! This doesn’t happen with just the Entertainment category but with any category that the mission requires. For example, before I got a mission that requires answering 10 questions in the Science category, I was getting a lot of questions in Science. As soon as I started a mission dealing with the Science category, I hardly got any Science questions so completing that mission took a while. Since there is a time limit for completing the missions, time is important.
Secondly, this “not getting questions or categories when you need” also happens in Triviathon. For example, when Triviathon gives you a task like answering 100 questions in Geography to earn lots of coins (like 2000 or 4500 coins). As soon as you start the task, out of let’s say 10-15 questions maybe 1-2 questions in geography appear. It’s like getting 5-7 questions in every other category to 1 question in geography. When I’m playing Triviathon normally & not trying to complete a task in Triviathon, the questions in each category appear at a regular rate. The occurrence also shows up in Crown League. If not playing Crown League, the probability of the wheel landing on a Crown was the same if not better than all the other categories. As soon as I start participating in Crown League, the probability of landing on the Crown part goes down very low.
Thirdly, l have noticed lately that in Triviathon, the number of correctly answered questions required in a Triviathon task is incorrectly scored or tallied. Let’s say the task requires me to answer 200 questions in the History category. If I answer 3 history questions correctly, the game will only count 1-2 questions as correctly answered so it takes longer to complete the task. I’ve noticed that the game won’t give you credit for correct questions until after you answer 1 or 2 questions correctly in the same category.
If these changes have been intentionally implemented by the developers, then it’s rather greedy or sadistic of the developers to mess around with players like this. So do the developers not want players to earn more TC coins so that it prompts or forces players to buy more TC coins instead of earning them? Let’s say the developers aren’t intentionally doing this but it is a software glitch. Then this reflects poorly on their technical competence! Whatever the cause is, fix the game so that all categories are fairly represented in the questions in the missions or tasks. Also don’t forget to make sure correct tallying is executed!

Trivia Crack (no ads)
Why has Trivia Crack (no ads) changed their format? It is VERY confusing and hard to view. I also now have to turn my computer on it’s upside to play the game. The original format allowed for the game to “adjust” or turn. PLEASE RETURN TO THE ORIGINAL FORMAT ! I first noticed the change onNovember 9, 2023.
There are also many misspellings and grammar errors. The game needs to have more “quality control” to be sure all that is written is correct…..
Questions written by 2 year olds, developers the same age
This game is absolutely a waste of money. Here’s just a few issues with this game:
Pick a prize is 100% rigged to get you to spend real money.
The system of “second chances” is faulty, and intentionally skips the “1000 coin” on a first missed question if the game thinks you’re doing too well in another attempt to get you to purchase something.
About 15%of the questions either have blatant grammar/spelling issues, or they intentionally leave words not capitalized. That’s not counting the 50% of questions that are “All of the above” type questions. And that just leaves 35% of questions relating to FRIENDS or FULL HOUSE. Seriously, clean it up. The whole purpose of the game is TRIVIA. Fix the questions.
It’s also apparent the questions are categorized by difficulty in the system, and knows when to pull out the tough questions just to stump you, so you’ll end up paying for more chances or other in game currency.
Whenever your pet is hungry, and you are short 2 or 3 cookies, the game will intentionally make it so you don’t get the normal cookie amount in a classic game. Whenever you don’t need to feed your pet, cookie questions will appear about 1-5. Whenever it’s something you “need”, the game refuses to give them up in, you guessed it: another sleazy attempt to sucker you in to purchasing them.
It’s obvious the developers are targeting children, or old-aged retired people who only know how to play trivia crack with their free time. It’s absolutely sad that a) people still play this game with it’s obvious flaws b) the developers, who probably speak English as a second language, would be okay with pumping out such a scam of a trivia game.

Seasonal mission
Today’s missions are tug of war, survival, and triviatopics- these are not available on the App today. What’s a girl to do?

Trivia Crack is misleading game
It does not let you block people! They put people t play on you feed who are not your friends nd make it unsafe! The change their position so you accidentally play! They have ruined the safety of game! I went toX them out and it put you into play instead!

Still popups
I love the game, don’t get me wrong… But I bought this so there wouldn’t be popup ads every 5 seconds, so i could actually enjoy the game. Now the ads are replaced with in-app purchases “ads”, and they pop up just as much. I literally feel like I wasted my money :(

New Video Daily Question is awful!
Hate the new video daily question. 1) It takes way too long to get to the question. 2) The videos aren’t needed to answer the questions. 3) I don’t like that there’s no way to turn the sound off on the questions. I have the sound off in my settings, but it doesn’t apply to these videos.

Please stop changing things
The new menu to access survival, triviathon, and the treasure is confusing. The video daily questions are horrible. They're especially horrible when you recieve a question that has flashes that hurt photosensitive players. Also the option to pay coins or tickets to redo a question is gone.

Video questions are awful
The new update of video questions for the daily question is terrible. Most of the time the video is superfluous and takes too long to cycle to the question. If this is implemented throughout the game I don’t think I can continue playing. Please provide an option to not have video questions.

Ads
I play all the time and I never get enough cookies to feed my pet so have to buy more., you raised the cost to 14 cookies. I’m annoyed enough to give the pet up. I played for two days all day didn’t get enough cookies then once I paid for more I got 7 in about an hour and no more after that, I’ve been playing all morning and it’s 1:00

What happened???
I love trivia crack and have played on and off for years.. just recently got back into it a few weeks ago. I especially liked playing Trivia Topics, Triviathon, and Survivor and now they’re all gone. It’s also worth mentioning that my dad also loves this app and has played consistently for YEARS. Trivia Topics was his absolute favorite and it’s GONE. Why?

Too many “offers” even in the ad free version
The game itself is pretty cool if you like trivia but every round is followed by three “offers” to essentially pay to cheat. You literally spend as much time declining and clicking the X to close screens as you do to play. That and I despise games that allow you to win if you just spend more money (tho that last gripe could just be me personally, so feel free to ignore).

Too Many Errors
I love trivia. And this app has some excellent design behind it. I really like some of the various challenges and mini-games.
However, the number of vague, poorly written, and just absolutely wrong questions is unacceptable.
Ex: Which team is Not from Ohio? Browns, Bengals, Buckeyes, Brewers.
Their "correct" answer was Bengals.
I am unable to get past the number of questions like this.

Would be more fun if people couldn’t cheat for $$
Despite the claim of ad free you are constantly bombarded with ads to buy their own in game currency. The in game currency is effectively ways to cheat-gold and tickets to redo answers or be give other questions and check marks to automatically be correct. Also many of the questions haven’t been vetted and may have the same answer twice or the answer in the question or just straight up wrong with no way to report.

Cookies for my pet
I love the game but I’m about to lose my pet becuase I don’t get offered cookies at all 95% of the time. It’s getting frustrating because I don’t want to continue to be either have to use my tickets to get cookies every day or lose my pet. I have played the game for a total of 7-8 hours today and I’ve early 2 cookies. In the last 4-5 hours I have not even had a chance to earn one. Cookies need to be offered more!

GAME HAS GONE DOWNHILL
I’ve had this game for years and now it has become the worst thing on my phone. Why do you have the stupid dog? Now the game is unplayable with it just saying no Internet connection or has question after question going over and over. We need a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT if they can’t fix it especially for the people who’ve paid for the ad free version like myself. Now in the United States region we are getting questions in German.

Constant cash grabbing, not cool
Not sure why my reviews keep getting deleted, but I'm very frustrated with the number of ads for microtransactions in an "ad-free" game that I've already paid for. Almost every button you press in this app triggers a pop-up to try and get you to spend disgusting amounts of money for very small amounts of in-game currency. Considering all the ways in which you can spend coins, credits, etc. to get second chances, it's basically pay-to-win.

What happened?!?
I primarily play Survival. This game was awesome until a few weeks ago. Now you’ve got the answers as part of the question, the correct answer listed multiple times and you don’t know which “right” answer to select so you lose, and the wrong answer selected as the right one. Ringo Starr wasn’t a Beatle? Copenhagen ISN’T in Germany but Stockholm is? You can’t find a beaker in a SCIENCE LAB? It’s ridiculous, and so frustrating. Take away the last round of questions you just added and fix the game.
