This bank is a joke
This bank is a joke. We are suppose to have car loan through this bank and still have yet to receive a payment book it's been a month and a half. We have called several times and left our number and a message for a call back. No response.. I have never had this issue with any other bank I have banked or gotten loans with. Will be switching to a more reliable bank for our transactions. If we can ever get ahold of a real person.

Today I got a text notification that Truliant had withdrawn over $3,000 from my checking account unexpectedly. I thought it was fraud and called to speak with the company. After over 2 hours on the phone and speaking with 5 total people they could not tell me why the money was taken out and could not resolve the issue. I will now have to wait until the next day to get this resolved. How is a bank legally allowed to take over $3,000 out of someone's account unjustified. This should be criminal activity.

Truliant Federal Credit Union on Tyvola Road in Charlotte, NC is the worst at customer service in the last year or so. I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years and went to that location 3 times to just open an account and waited for outside for several minutes after making an appointment and never received the service that I drove over 30 minutes to get to bank to perform. I am going to try another location moving forward. This used to be a wonderful bank but you can tell that the employees have a don't care attitude. Its a shame!
This bank is very hard to do business. I am on my 3rd request for a bank card. I actually went into a branch and was unable to get my card. However, next since I never got a card, I contacted them over the telephone about a month to request a card, never received my card. I can't wait to pay my loan off and go somewhere else.

WORST BANK EVER. Seriously I don't know how the customer service here is so bad. I've been hung up on so many times I halfway expect it now. They are truly incompetent in finding any information about your account. I had a charge showing on my account that I didn't recognize, and they flat out told me they could not tell me who that charge went to. I was just speaking with someone yet again to try to get a question answered, and they literally just ended the chat without finishing the conversation. I hate hate hate this bank and will be leaving it ASAP.
Would give ZERO STARS if possible. Moved here from Iowa last month and needed to open accounts here and transfer all our banking to NC - making very large deposits. I'm almost completely deaf so I chose to open several accounts online - without incident - at first. To start, Juanita, in the customer service phone banking department, didn't know anything about the differences between accounts. I knew more than her after just a little bit of research! She couldn't answer any of my questions! Second, after already opening three accounts, I was told by Juanita that I had to go in to a branch to "verify who I was". So the first three accounts were fine, but the fourth one they needed to "know who I was"?! I go in to the Steele Creek branch and the assistant manager, Alex K, assures me that everything is ok and my large deposits would go through without incident. It's a month later and I cannot get anyone to call me back as a large deposit still has not been cleared! I called Alex again, and he never returned my call. I called the branch manager, Michelle G, and she never called me back either! I sent an email and STILL NO RESPONSE! Called the customer service line and the girl said she couldn't help me and I needed to call back at 9:30 the next morning! WORST BANK AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

I applied for a business loan with this credit union, the guy I was working with was extremely helpful and professional. Unfortunately I was denied due to when I was 19 years old, I lost my job and couldn't pay my credit card and it was charged off. Fast track 22 years later I have steady income, just bought a home and even have a new vehicle, and still denied a possibility to become a owner of my own business! I MEAN 22 YEARS! I highly recommend closing all accounts, do not even open an account due to the unfairness of this organization to deny a person the opportunity to be successful!
Overdraft fees is a joke
Overdraft fees is a joke. I am planning on looking on a different bank due to this. They just want to take your money. I deposited money in my account before any bills and got charged an overdraft fee. My account was never in the negatives. As stated before by other employees was that as long as the charge doesn't go through and it remains pending, you shouldn't be charged any fees. I have proof that I deposited money way before a charge was taken and yet they still charged me an over draft fee. I have this bank because my dad opened me an account when I was 16 but will look into closing my account with them.

Truliant as a bank is not terrible however their customer service agents are less than competent. I was working with an agent named Bianca G after waiting on hold for over 20 minutes. She not only answered the phone with an attitude, she hung up in my face in the middle of a sentence, when I needed help from the company that she works with. After The entire phone call was filled with her attitude and less than helpful information, she hung up on while I was talking midsentence. If that's not a lack of professionalism I don't know what is. Not only did I not It was enough to make me want to close my account with you all after banking with you for more than 7 years.
I would like to address a couple of concerns towards Truliant
I would like to address a couple of concerns towards Truliant. My issue here is in regards with procedures and payments. I have never seen a business reject a full payment on a account. It is also unreasonable with any transaction to be on hold for over an hour. Furthermore, employees reciting responses out of a text book does not fully resolve issues. Unfortunately, we do live in a day an age where anything can be used against you (this goes both ways). However, we should focus on the problem and how to resolve this rather than wasting time. I believe that Truliant is a good service oriented place. But somewhere on their operating side this message is being misinterpreted. Thanks for your time and attention.
I'm not too happy right now
I'm not too happy right now. I just started banking with Truliant Federal Credit Union and already I've had a bad experience. I signed up for automatic draft for my car payment only for it to be taken out but on the date it wasn't taken out. Two months later and they took the two months and current month payments. A total of three payments at once. I had already made payments for the previous months. I thought maybe I didn't set up the automatic draft right and that's why they didn't take the payments out, but all of a sudden Truliant snatched three payments at once, so now I'm three months ahead. I ended up with overdrafts that I feel need to be refunded even after I finally spoke to someone after 1.5 hours of being transferred around the world and back. No one said anything about giving my overdraft payments back. I was told that the automatic draft was cut off but on December 18th I will find out. I was trying to start saving money but they took all of what I saved. Now I have to start all over again. I am not happy. Truliant Federal Credit Union.
Truliant recently helped me with my refinance on my house and I am impressed by how great they made the whole process
Truliant recently helped me with my refinance on my house and I am impressed by how great they made the whole process. This was my first time refinancing and I went by my local Mebane branch to make an appointment since I was shopping around several places. My loan officer was Jami H and she explained the entire process so clearly and said that she would stay in touch about their rates to give me a chance to choose what rate I wanted to lock in. She took the time to text me every day with updates on the rates even though we were in the middle of the most stressful months of the COVID pandemic. After locking in, she made getting all the paperwork done super easy and was super fast to respond every time I had a question. Closing was way easier than my original mortgage and since I have experienced a lender trying to be shady on that mortgage, I was definitely nervous going into this refinance. Jami made my decision easy when I was still deciding which lender I would use because she truly cared about helping me understand each step of the process. I couldn't be happier with how the whole process went and I recommend anyone to give them a try.

Not a good credit union, had fraud on my account and even turned in police reports for the fraudulent activity and they said that l can no longer have a debit card because of so many fraudulent charges that were happening on my card. That is no reason for them to be able to revoke my debit card privileges. I am disabled and I feel like I have been discriminated against because of my color and my disability. They even told me that I had to add my mother to my account to help keep anyone from accessing my card. They gave her a card for my account and Mary told me that l am not allowed to use the card that they issued to my mother for my own account. I am an adult, and don't appreciate them treating me like I'm a child. They have lost my business forever because of my treatment with this credit union.

Truliant lacks customer service on weekends and also a payment plan although up to date is not good enough They froze my Acct and required balance prior to unlocking Acct and giving me my money out of my Acct. They are very rude and unrealistic. Life happens they are not at all compassionate about that. I have never had issues with the local bank this is directly relating to the corporation as a whole
