Posting a review is something I only ever do in exceptional circumstances and for me, apart from my 110% satisfaction and support for this company, the negative reviews posted on this site have driven me to respond. Its already been noted by others but I cannot believe we are talking about the same company. We have found TRUSTEDHousesitters (note the caps) to be just that, TRUSTED in every respect from customer service, to the service provided to owners and sitters something paramount when dealing with an on line business.
My wife and I have been members of TrustedHousesitters since 2010 both as owners and sitters. Our home has been cared for, respected and kept immaculate by numerous sitters of every age, singles and couples, male and female who have traveled to Canada from every corner of the world. Weve embraced their families also, when you are caring for a home upwards to 6 months, having family and friends visit is so appreciated and as owners our choice of sitters gave us the confidence to know anyone they invited would treat our home in exactly the same way. This proved to be true on every occasion.
As for our own 7 year, global pet and housesitting adventure, TrustedHousesitters has truly changed our lives. Passionate animal lovers we chose not to have another pet after losing our beloved, furry family member. Thanks to TrustedHousesitters and the many pet owners who trust and welcome us into their homes, we now have numerous GrandPets around the world. Just like Grandparents we get to love and enjoy pets, even spoiling them, keeping them safe and happy, then hand them back to happy, rested and very grateful owners.
Choosing to do this for free, we get back far more than we ever give. The lifelong friendships made will enrich our lives long after our pet and housesitting travels have ended a thought for the future which we dont visit too often. The annual membership fee is the best travel related investment we have ever made.
We cannot fault this company, although there have been occasions when the functionality of the website could, in our experience an opinion, be improved we are not the most tech savvy couple but thankfully even that is improving, the people on that side of the business seem to be listening to their customer, we have sent in many suggestions.
If you are contemplating travel, have pets and want to keep them safe and happy at home or you are at a crossroads in your life, love pets, travel and having new life experiences (Not a vacation! If that is your intention go on a cruise) join this amazing community, its that simple.
