Electricity
They won't fix the electricity. The circuit breakers keeps tripping for 1 PC. We work in the IT industry. We need our machines. The tripping causes harm to our machines. They won't allow me to bring in an electrician to fix it even.
No pest control at all. the pest control services haven't shown up in 5 months. There are cockroaches in the house. There is a literal hole in the kitchen.
Maintenance
They do not move fast unless your apartment is on fire or flooding. Also they do not like to take care of common areas up until they are getting inspected. Garbage is always filled up and smells horrible in the garage. Rats are always having fun in the garage. Stairways always dirty, homeless people find it easy to get in and urinate in the building.

I’m not sure where to start
I officially moved out May 31, 2022
Tuli management took over for Premier Developers in March 2022…
1. I received a “welcome packet” under my door not an email or anything, although when I made my portal app account my old lease was there and it had been hand written and changed - first red flag, a call would have been nice… when I addressed them, the stated “ we did not make any adjustments we received the lease this way…” I had not initial it anything literally
Anyway the welcome packet was 2 sheets of paper that said make a account or call Within 10 days of this receipt… my thing is under the door tho, you couldn’t email or mail it, this is 2022. WHEN I CALLED SHE SAID YOU GOT THE WELCOME PACKET… so don’t complain, I couldn’t believe that was the response
2. MOST IMPORTANTLY, overpaid April 2022 due to lack of communication on both management behalf… my Tuli account was showing red of I didn’t pay and the other management simply took my April rent and give it to Tuli… I was promised a check and told it would be mailed, apparently Tuli took it and credited my rental’s account... wth I’m gonna do with $2200 rent credit for a building I know longer live in - as of June still waiting for $2200… when I reached out to Tuli I was told “ we don’t give refunds sorry, and you will have to reach out to your bank or credit card company; it’s in email because they will swear I am a liar - as a single mom this was the hardest things to suck up, $2200 is a lot of money. It really impacted my life.
3. They simply DO NOT COMMUNICATE at all, I practically had to email A LOT to get a response.
4. I emailed about my vacate date April 18, 2022 by the portal as I was told - “it’s the best way to communicate with us” well I received confirmation after I sent numerous emails May 25, 2022 for a move out date May 31, 2022
5. It was a whole ordeal to return the keys because it was a holiday weekend that’s why I emailed in advance… I got the run arounds even with that, I had to move mountains for a person to actually return the key to, AND even then the associate asked me to leave the door open and the keys, I had to email a video and pictures to cover myself… horrible communication - they do not do walkthroughs With tenants nothing at all. I am so sadden but this 2 month experience.
I am afraid to see any outlandish moving out inspection charges.
Between the lost money and poor communication this experience horrified me.

Replacement of my brand new gas oven with an old oven
The igniter of my brand new january 2020 gas oven needed to be replaced (less than $200 from pse&g), instead tuli realty replace it with a used very old gas oven. This oven may come from a hazardous and/or contaminated environment. I want tuli realty to remove this old oven from my apartment and put back my oven (repaired) or replace it with a new oven.
Read full review of Tuli RealtySecurity deposit- total fraud from Tuli realty. Looting money from tenants
I see $1450 has been charged. I seriously don't get it. It is purely a loot from the tenants.
I have attached the video which we secured while moving out.
Damaged Countertops 700
Clean stove 75
Scratched floors 150
Clean tub tiles and grout 150
Water damaged medicine cabinet 125
Water damaged bathroom vanity 250
This is a total injustice being done to a tenent.
We stayed there for 3 years
1. Countertops : It is a marble stone and it changed color over the time. How is it you call a damage? It is a regular used one. How can a stone be damaged I don't get it?
So you say we should not use the countertop so it stays the same way as you gave it?
We cleaned it neat and gave it.
In your move out instructions, you mentioned regular wear and tear is acceptable.
Can you tell me what exactly is "damaged" on the countertop?
'WE EXPECT IT RETURNED BACK IN THE SAME GOOD CONDITION ASIDE FROM NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR.'
2. Stove- we cleaned it and yes there will be wear and tear as we used it for 3 years. Do you say we have to not use the stove to give in the same condition as not used?
3. Scratched floors- you did not give us a new flooring, you gave us a clean and polished floor. So we have cleaned and gave it back. Scratches were always there even before us.
We cannot polish a floor and give it back as we are not professionals.
4. Water damaged medicine cabinet and bathroom vanity. Those were a regular wear and tear? How can you call it damaged ? Are they not in a usable condition ? You can see the video I sent they are in perfect condition.
So overall, I can agree only on the bathroom and stove cleaning part of the entire charges that you put on me. All other charges are a clear dispute.
I see the apartment available for rent and the images you have put up, they are the same countertops and the same bathroom cabinets,
You loot such huge money from us(old tenants) that the property/countertops/bathroom cabinets are damaged which are not at all damaged and you rent the same to next tenants ?
awful apartment and awful service
I moved into 1106 New York Avenue - 09 on July 10th, 2019. I've seen various problems including renovation pollution related odor and itchy eyes, unusual large amount of cockroaches, tap water leak, and window leak since the very first day that I moved in but none has been solved so far (Also the stuck and leak of the bathtub, the broken screen window, and missing control button, solved in weeks). These problems cannot be found in apartment viewing. I have all reasons to believe that this property falls short of health, safety and maintenance standards of New Jersey. This unit is not in a livable condition. And Tuli Realty, LLC has failed to exercise its due care and legal duty to maintain this unit in a livable condition.
At first, I thought they had exterminators for the bug problem and building supers for the maintenance problem even though those problems happened in the first week I moved in. The exterminators were supposed to come on July 16th by the email notification. I waited for whole day but no one knocked on my door or contacted me. I found cockroaches in my refrigerator for three times in the first month I moved in. That's really disgusting. The problem of the stuck and leak of the bathtub was solved in a week by calling the building super day by day or even hour by hour. I couldn't take a shower for almost a week in the hottest days in summer. Even though I'm a student, I don't have time to wait for the maintenance for the whole day if they cannot arrive on time. I have my own things to take care of. Later, I kind of understood why the building supers for the maintenance couldn't arrive on time. Most units of Tuli Realty might have tons of problems that need to be solved by the building supers, and my unit was just one of them. I've lived in the US for 4 years but never had a horrible experience like this. I cannot stand the living environment and service. I would rather lose my credit or be put on the court than staying here and paying the rent for their awful apartment.
tenant/ customer service
Their customer care is the worse!
They need to do a better job at hiring someone who's actually qualified for good customer service. I have been living here for almost 2 years now and I can count on one hand the number of times i've called the office, for small stuffs, and I have always gotten a rude and disrespectful response in return. For example, earlier this year (a couple days before going into labor) I noticed that the apartment would be cold in the morning and warm at night. It didn't take long for me to notice that they'd turn off the heat during the day then turn it back at night. Given the fact that sometimes a thick blanket wouldn't do it for me I decided to call it in (thinking that maybe they're not aware that this is going on). The lady on the other end of the (which btw doesn't take much for her to snap and start with the attitude and the rudeness) asked me if i'm able to tell her what temperature is the apartment. Me being very puzzled because this is an old school building with the old school heaters, I asked how can one person check for that? As i'm looking around thinking she'd tell me how. Then I proceeded to share with her my concern about the fact that i'm just a little nervous, it's my first baby and I just wouldn't want for him to get sick.in the rudest tone she tells me that she will send the super over so that he can take the temperature of the apt. By law it's required to be a certain temperature and if the apartment is in fact in the temperature of what the law requires then maybe I should invest in a portable heater. Although she was rude, I was receptive of the advice. My problem was the comment she made to me as a mother... These were her exact words "... I mean i'm not trying to tell you what to do with your baby but if the apartment is that cold you shouldn't have your baby just laying around with no clothes, you need to cover him up or something!"
*my response: "excuse me?"
Her realizing that i'm taken back by what she said she repeats it again but this time she had a different tone and tried to make it seem like it was a simple suggestion.
I have two other stories of how rude that girl is every time I call.
Bottom line, she's not a good face for the company if this is the way she's handling phone calls.
Housing
Please don't do any business with them. I saw an advertisement in craigslist. When I checked the apt the maintenance was going on. When I talked to their agent she said I can move to the apt on Jan 15th. So I applied for the apt and paid their application fee. The next day she called me and said I can move only on Jan 1st and they wont give my application fee back. When I called their customer care office they responded very unprofessional. They hanged the call, telling that 'I shouldn't take their apt, then!'
Their customer care is THE WORSE!

Get ready to receive threatening messages before move out
Moving out at the end of your lease? Get prepared to receive threatening messages from their office - couple days after you serve your 1-month notice. They show up anytime. Even if you show the apartment to 5 people in a day and you are not home just once when they show up - they will call you - abuse you, text you saying "In your lease it states clearly that we have to show the apartment. If you refuse and or decline, we will not refund your security deposit.".
Here is my email to their management after they repeatedly threatened and abused me:
I have Received a threatening message & call from Myra of Tuli Realty. (Picture attached). She is accusing me for not cooperating and that Tuli Realty will not refund my security deposit. This is completely untrue - Jose showed the apartment twice yesterday. She says she called me and I didn't pick up. The truth is that I was out of network and my phone never rang. I was in the subway travelling. She showed up without confirming with me whereas I clearly told her that she should ask me if I am available 30mins - 1 hour prior to coming - as I cannot block my schedule and tell in advance 1 day before.
When Apt D8 was under renovation, Jose came and showed our apartment to at least 20 people. He used to show up anytime without prior information and used to banged loudly on our door. We never refused him even if we were sleeping or having food. He continued to show our apartment to other people for the next 7-8 months. This has stopped only for the past 3-4 months.
This is an invalid accusation and a mere excuse not to refund the security deposit. If this is the scenario / your policy, please let us know and we will find a suitable legal procedure for dealing with you.
Today she said she will show up at 5:30 which we confirmed and till now at 5:54 she hasn't shown up. I'm waiting and have blocked my schedule. I have to move and I'm very busy since we are leaving on 22 Aug. You have ample amount of time even after 22nd to show the apartment to people. I am willing to cooperate however, I am unwilling to accept / appreciate any kind of threats regarding my security deposit neither I can accept extreme interference with my schedule only to show the apartment.
The property manager called me and apologized, said there was a miscommunication. The property manager called me and apologized, said there was a miscommunication.

Awful landlord
This is the worse management company you could ever rent from. Beware of cheap rents. Buildings are generally in a state of disrepair to the extent that even the US Post Office refuses to deliver mail to our building. Have been asking to have a number of repairs done since we moved in such as the windows not being able to be locked that have been ignored. Absolutely worse experience, trust all the reviews you read, take your business elsewhere.

Terrible maintenance and tenant rights
In two years of living in an apartment managed by Tuli Realty, there were countless maintenance issues that failed to be addressed in a timely manner, and it was simply unacceptable.
1. We had a toilet clogged for almost a week, despite repeated calls.
2. We had a sink and bathtub that did not drain to the point they almost overflowed, which was not addressed for weeks despite frequent calls.
3. The lock on the door to our apartment were changed without any notification so we came home locked out of our own apartment and had to wait more than an hour to get in.
4. The very worst was the major flood in our kitchen due to a plumbing clog in another apartment that made our sink completely overflow with dirty, mucky water. The flood left inches of dirt and water in our kitchen and hallway. It took 24 hours for maintenance to stop the flood, during which time we had to spend hours using buckets to drain the floor. Then, when the leak was finally stopped, maintenance did a terrible job cleaning the apartment. It was filthy and grimy when they left. We had spend hours of our own time and money to get it clean. Our own household items were also damaged and had to be replaced.
Despite all of these oversights, we consistently paid our rent on time or even early and in full. We never created one single problem for anyone in the building.
When we moved out we were charged $350 from our security deposit return for a "damaged stove" which worked perfectly fine when we moved out. They had no proof it was damaged; instead they sent a photo that showed it was grimy, which should have been a $100 charge.
The supers changed constantly, were impossible to get in touch with, and were very unresponsive.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Management not fixing problems in apartment
The management of the building I rent REFUSES to attend to minor fixtures needed in my apartment. I have been asking them since May to please attend to these things(walls are cracking and three of my windows won't stay up on their own).I always pay my rent on time and never have given them any reason to complain about me, but they just refuse fix these things.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I currently reside in one of there buildings and it is horrendous! There is no heat and nothing get fixed. I have filed a complaint with town hall, the fire and police
Dept. The police dept informed me that there were 15 ACTIVE complaints against the bldg. He told me I needed to get out of there. The super is horrendous and does absolutely nothing. DO NOT RENT at 9201 Kennedy blvd, north Bergen. Also, they do not like to give back security deposits!
I would say the WORST real estate agents to consult with. I was calling especially one of their agent Mayra from the last 1 week. She is like I am something. Whenever she receives the call its like I am busy call me later or I will call you back. f*** she never calls me back. Trust me they are a big ripoffs. I contacted them before a week and I asked them several times to show me the apartment. Mayra never gave us time. We visited the apartment by ourselves and then called her. She told you need to fill out an application and pay dollar 50 and we did. She told she will call us back. f*** her she calls us at 11 at night and asks our basic details. Before she never had time and now after getting the money for the application all of a sudden she gets time. The next day she tells me that my credit is low and I need to send her my payslips and I did. Later she calls and tells me that my credit is really low and I need to pay 3500 advance plus 1.5 months security deposit plus the rent. f***. They behave as if their apartments are million dollar worth apartments. On top of that she has the audacity to say that If you want than you can otherwise forget about it. I say why do people as this f***ing agents for apartments. They are not even worth talking to. They are always rude do not have time for customers and then after giving the non refundable application all of a sudden they have time now to call and talk. I would say better go with Tara from journalsquarerentals they are the best. Or else find something by your own. I had 2 of my relative 2 families who were looking for the apartment and I was looking for all of them. Good I didn't deal with them.
I have have requested maintenance in my apartment for over 6 months for a leak in my bathroom ceiling. It has taken them four months to put up new walls and a patch in the ceiling. They still havent repainted the walls and the ceiling is still leaking. When you call or write them they act like they have never heard of the problem.
