Haircut and gossip
I was a walk-in on Wednesday May 3rd 2023, at the Ultracuts in the Westgate Plaza, 22nd Street. While I was waiting for a chair to open, which there were only myself another female customer and a male customer in the store. The male customer was just finishing his cut. When the male customer left the store, Nadine his hair stylist, immediately was talking/ mocking his demeanor. He was a little off / hyper. Nadine voiced her opinion while myself and the other customer were there. What I thought then was, I wonder if she talks about all of her customers when they walk out the door. I called for Nadine on Friday, because my hair wasn't cut just right, and she was not in. I called on saturday, May 6th, and Garrett, the manager, answered the phone. I told her that I would like to come in to see Nadine again because my hair was not quite what I wanted. Garrett put me on hold and was telling Nadine, in a snooty attitude way, that I did not like my haircut and I want to come back in. (Obviously that she didn't know that I could hear her). Meanwhile, Nadine is cutting someone else's head. There goes the talk again! When Nadine answered the phone, I immediately expressed to her that I did not like the way that things are done at that store with them talking about customers behind their backs. Nadine replied that it was not her, I said I know it was not you this time, but when I was there for my haircut, you had to make comments about the gentleman (whose hair you cut prior to mine). She then asked me when I would like to come in to see her. You have got to be kidding me, at this time I would much rather have the guy that she talked about after he left the store, cut my hair.
I know that people will talk about people, but come on you do not speak about people when you have customers in your store! (I never talked to Garrett in a snooty way about having my hair done again. Not at all the way that she related the message to Nadine.)
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund of $26.51
Haircut
I received an extremely bad haircut that resulted in a buzz cut to fix. I felt I should have been given a refund or a next cut free. None of that was offered by the manager. I was told a bad haircut is only a week away from normal. This cut will take at least 6 months to get back to the length my naturally curly hair normally requires to show curly hair.
Desired outcome: Next cut free

I had my base and highlights done by Collins in 8th street Saskatoon ultracuts.
He barely knows the work and when I confronted he started arguing
Tried to talk to the manager, Sam but she too seems just doesn't care about a customer that just paid $150
There's none to complain about!?!?!
Very unprofessional
I seriously feel like to take this matter to police or sth but thinking about the hassle n all; I'm keeping myself shut!

Unprofessional behaviour
We visited Ultra Cuts located in Panaroma Hills in Calgary, for highlights for our daughter, she (Tracy) made us wait for an hour and took 3 customers prior to us who were after us, and trying to take the 4th one too, when confronted, telling us that we need to take appointment to do the highlights which would be after 2 hours, I just don't understand why wouldn't she tell us that straight away and why did she made us wait for an hour, that was ridiculous and very unprofessionalism from Ultra Cuts franchise. We felt racism here and very disturbed with this kind of gesture, especially in Canada, which we all love here.
Really bad bang trim
Don't ever go to the Ultracuts, Castleridge location. I went in there November 1st for a bang trim. How can you mess up a bang trim right? Well Susan certainly did. I had a company party to attend that night too. Well she butchered my bangs! Don't EVER go there or if you have to, don't have Susan cut your hair. My bangs originally were just below my eyebrows and I wanted them AT my eyebrows. She did NOT do that...AWFUL. How do these people get these jobs? I would hate to have gotten a full haircut. I would probably be bald.

hair color
never ever go to Amanda at jasper Gates in Edmonton. She is a stylist who when doing color has no real idea as to what she is doing! She has the client come numerous times to get their
foils done so she can earn as much money each appt. Had to return 4 times in two months because the foils were too stripey! When finally she couldn't get desired color she put undiluted bleach on my hair. She was very demanding of tips citing that Ultracuts does not pay their employees well. Discussed all issues with owner and had proof but he did nil. He obviously has no control over this salon and it shows! Customer service with Amanda is deplorable! She would
continually take all walkins with no regard for appt. time she had set aside for my appt. They must work on commission! The final straw was when she gave me her cell number and stated
"I can do your color at my apartment a basement suite. Is this not taking clts. from salon? It was one horrible experience and that is why we pay more for reputable salons to work on our hair!
