Lies and scams
They said they are a partner with AT&T and offered to buy out our contract. Shook hands and signed contract stating as much. Technician was completely unskilled, took 3 hours to place a single wire and didn't have working service by the time he left. Technician came by several times looking for his missing tools, including in the attic crawl space. Personally had to fix fax machine and phones. Balance with AT&T remains unpaid and collectors have been summoned. Can't get in contact with the person whos name is on our contract and no attempt has been made to reply. Price was stated at the start and has increased after less than 2 months with several hidden fees.
Recommendation: Don't trust these con artists.
NEGATIVE STARS!
NEGATIVE STARS! Spam calls multiple times a day every single day from the sales reps. Rude and they refuse to take our office number off their call list and stated they don't have the ability to do so. We are not a customer and we are not interested in any way. I am the office manager, I know what phone and internet services we have and I've told them repeatedly they are not to call here. They've called from some repeated numbers so I can at least block those in the phone system. What a company!
they are horrible! phone service barely works and if you call to get something fixed you get nothing in return. last wk. alone we went without a phone line for 3 days with no call, no serviceman no reply nothing! and that's not even discussing this wk. or all the other wks. that there has been something! do not use this company! zeroooooo stars
I have been an UGS customer for just over 17 months. Never left a ComplaintsBoard.com review but I looked up Unified and felt like I had to say something. We have only had 2 issues this whole time. Both of the times when our internet went out and the calls forwarded automatically (didn't miss a beat). We serve a very particular client base and cannot afford to not talk to our clients. We utilize a lot of the conferences bridges and have multiple call forwarding set ups in each one of our offices which have never failed us. We have referred UGS 3 other customers (who are customers of ours) and I have not heard any complaints. It was a good decision for our business.

I have been with Unified Global Solutions for just over 2 months, and I have called regarding the internet service not being able to link our computers together in house for 2 months. Their tech customer service has no idea what they are doing. I have had an IT company come in to help me repair this problem and they haven't heard back from UGS in over 2 weeks. Then when trying to switch my service back to my previous service provider, I find out that UGS has my phones and internet all messed up. Then they are telling me that the lease agreement I signed with them I can't get out of even with them having faulty equipment and their customer service in more than poor!
This company is awesome
This company is awesome. As a Texas Business Owner, I have been waiting for a local company that was big (but not to big) to come in and take care of small to medium size local businesses. We had suuuuuch a terrible time with our previous Voip Provider. Features didn't work, bills fluctuated, phones broke and it was always our fault (according to the company). UG ran new cables, got the features we wanted working, 2 months of billing correct...We are off to a great start. I am glad I made the switch for my company.
I was called by someone stating they were from comcast to set up an appointment to see how they could save their customers money on current service package. The the appointment, the gentleman claimed he didn't have my account information with him and asked to see my current bill. He wrote up a proposal to save me money, but handed me paperwork from Unified Global Solutions. I asked how they were affiliated with Comcast and he told me they were a subcontractor for Comcast. He asked me to sign his quote and then a letter of authorization. I informed him I was not comfortable with that because I had already told him I would be talking with my tech specialist before making and decisions. He made several comments about "not making customers sign any contracts or anything like that, but just having this page on file to get the ball rolling once I made my decision." I again told him I would not be signing anything today and he proceeded to say that they do it this way because they are so busy, etc. When I declined to sign again, he asked what my hesitation was. I told him again that I would talk to my tech specialist as well as my team before deciding and he tried to insult me by by saying, "Well I thought you were the one point decision maker." I told him we function as a team, and I would not be signing until I did some of my own research. He promptly left. I called Comcast, they reported that they do not partner or subcontract anyone. This was a very bad tactic to try to get new business. The Letter of Authorization has was so desperate to get me to sign say, "By signing and dating this letter, you authorize UGS to initiate the process of TRANSFERRING your service from your current service provider to UGS." Shame on you for being a liar!
This company has been harassing my office for a month now claiming that they hold our phone and internet service when I know for a FACT they do not. Representatives are unbelievably rude when we have asked multiple times not to be contacted by them. We block the number through our actual service provider and they just keep calling from different numbers. Horrible service and they are definitely trying to scam someone...I just know it won't be me.
Like others have said, I was given a call stating that they work with Comcast to provide services and can save us on our bill. Very sketchy sounding, very sketchy given that they could not even provide the correct address for the business location. Once stated that we recently signed a new contract with Comcast he immediately ended the call. Very bad business practice to cold call customers of another provider and imply that they are working on Comcast's behalf. If they can't get customers any other way they shouldn't be getting customers.
Unified Global Solutions is a disaster. No Customer service. I asked to speak with a Manager. And was told a Manager couldn't speak with me. Notice I didn't click any stars. Because I wouldn't even rate them a 1. I would rate them a ZERO! I got a call asking if I would switch from Comcast if they could get me even stronger internet, same tv service, and a Business phone system with up to 5 lines at a lower rate than what I currently had with Comcast. So, I agreed mainly because I have 5 businesses and was excited about the business phone system. All that for less than what I was paying for just tv and internet with Comcast. Unified Global Solutions LIED ! Here is what I got. Internet that is NO faster than what I had with Comcast. A business phone system that is TERRIBLE! You have to download an app called SNAPMobile that is TERRIBLE! The business phone system is NOTHING like what they told me it would be. TV service is NOT included! They have never told me how to cancel Comcast internet and if I do I am sure I will pay more for TV because it won't be bundled anymore. I didn't realize I was under contract. I asked when the rep come out if I would have to sign a long term contract and was told NO! But now I find out I am under contract. This is a BIG MESS! And I want out of it. Right now I am paying the same thing with Comcast PLUS paying that much with Unified Global Soultions! I am asking to get out of my contract with these CROOKS and consumers warned about these people. I still want to find a good business phone solution. In fact I called Comcast and they offer one probably LOT better than these jerks. Can't be any worse. I am asking ComplaintsBoard.com to assist me in getting out of this contract and shut these people down. They are liars and crooks. NOTE! I originally didn't choose any stars. They deserve ZERO stars. But I couldn't send the review. The system says i have to provide a star rating. My star rating is NEGATIVE ZERO! BUYER BEWARE!

Left me with equipment that doesn't function correctly and basicly told me to figure it out. Billing is incorrect and they no longer respond to my emails.
UGS (Unified Global Solutions) - Recoil/Run recommended! - UGS indirectly reps for Balboa Capital - look up Balboa Capital (including Class Action lawsuits --consider ALL lawsuits/complaints as legitimate - u may need to join them if u engage contractually! fyi - UGS never mentions Balboa or POS (PCC), another Agent they engage for leasing/rental contracts - UGS bills monthly for themselves but has no control over anything post-sale/lease... POS (PCC) invoices Balboa Capital for equipment...if contract is breached & u complain, Balboa enters the picture as Goliath behind transactions...That one-stop solution UGS purports to be becomes multi-billings from UGS, PCC (POS) or Tamco or other agents that all link back to Balboa Capital - an experienced underlying predator that is not licensed in Texas & does not pay Texas Sales/Use tax. They are from California & have an entire cottage industry built-up to sustain their legal maneuverings & web of agents/document shuffling - fyi - UGS hides Balboa Capital's presence while selling phone systems & may not admit systems delivered are 'used' or refurb'd - NOT NEW. Any contract should be considered a predatory one-way path w/no exit despite any UGS/PCC/Balboa breach/over-charge/charge early/unauthorized ACH withdrawals, etc. READ the xxtra-fine Print & be AWARE you won't find Balboa's name until the contract breaches become apparent...by then, u r in the spider's web..Suggestion: JUST DON"T GO THERE! UGS failed to pay previous provider as contracted - almost lost our 800# & they continued to bill long after contract cancelled - they believe 'small print' binds you legally, but not themselves! fyi - They breached contract...We cancelled contract - returned the very old gear delivered - now fighting to not pay $20k for $2k value - UGS claims to be a one-stop solution -- IF u need new phone system - find alternative resource!
This company uses mafia-like practices and will hijack your ported number to force you into signing a contract. Don't walk, RUN away from these guys. I've been in business for 40+ years and have never experienced anything like my dealings with them. Predatory, strong arm tactics and shady business practices.
Our company has been in business for 20 years and switched to VOIP over a year ago. This is not something I wanted to do nor was I familiar with. What a significant change for our company. The service has been nothing short of phenomenal. I was hesitant at first but I will be with unified global solutions as long as I am in business. Without the savings and unmatched technology provided by UGS we wouldn't have made it through the lockdowns. We are grateful!
This is the best phone company I have ever had
This is the best phone company I have ever had. After 1 year of service, I am still at ZERO issues. They also work with our internet provider so when there have been issues (with the internet), Unified Global Solutions called the internet company and worked in tandem to get everything resolved. My last phone provider would just point fingers back and forth. All the features have worked this whole time which is great and when I have been out of town and needed o make changes to the system, I popped open my laptop and switched things up in real time, This was a great decision for my business.
Our company was stuck in a contract and paying an insane amount monthly. Not only did Unified global buy us out of our contract, give us low pricing they also gave us some awesome new phones. Thank you for knocking on our door!
Initially, I was leery with the quality of their service especially when they were able to reduce my phone and internet bill 30%. I'm glad I took the step to sign up with Unified Global Solutions 2 years ago. The service is outstanding and the products are very reliable. I have referred my sales rep Maria to a lot of my business colleagues. They are all happy that I did.
I'm not usually one to take calls from sales people as it's normally a waste of time and there's always a catch. But as a small business owner I'm always lookin to save. Almost 2 years as a customer and there has still been no catch. Prices and service stays consistent. Thanks yall !
I have gone through many different voice over IP providers. I have been using unified Global Solutions for over a year now. So far it has easily been the best VoIP service I've used. The call clarity is great. In fact, people on the other end of the line noticed a big difference too shortly after our switch. Haven't had any drops and the wireless phones offer great range.
Coming back to the office was a nightmare
Coming back to the office was a nightmare. With so much going on and just trying to get back into "office hours" has really been a struggle for me. We realized upon coming back that we had phones not working and phones that were broken. We switched to UGS to get our phones replaced. The installation was super seamless. It worked out into our favor. Our boss ended up giving everyone a "3 day in office - 2 day work at home schedule". We all took our phones home, plugged them into the internet and it works just like were in the office. This was a super smart move! We also saved a little money...about 10% of our previous bill. This was a win /win.

I spent 15 minutes with a sales rep who informed me in detail how much I was paying, how much I would be saving and what my account would consist of. After, I was contacted to schedule my installation within a couple of days of approving the proposal. I am glad to say that saving $16,000 for the next 5 years is amazing, but also worrisome. If it wasn't for the solicitation and the timing I would be over paying for my service. Needless to say, this was not something on my mind, but all the detail and installation process that the salesman told me about, happened. Thank you Unified Global Solutions. I will be referring other business that I know would be delighted to be serviced by you.
I have had a really good experience with these boys
I have had a really good experience with these boys. They are a local Texas company & me personally, I like keeping business with people I have a relationship with. I didn't have any problems when we met, but I did need some help getting a phone system that put more advanced functionality to use. Off of some of the features, I have been able to support my customers better. As long as I am willing to press answer (via my cell, mobile app, desktop phone and smart phone), I can make sure I never miss another customer call again regardless of where I am physically. Im not really the reviewing type. I believe things should be done right and should be done well. But Heck, when things are done flawlessly, that deserves some recognition. Thank y'all very much UGS. Y'all have my vote!
These boys did a great job
These boys did a great job. Being a Southern business owner, I wanted to keep my vendors other Southern Companies. It's hard to do, because commodity companies (like internet and phone) are based all over the world. When I met with the Saleswoman from Unified, she assured me that Unified Global Solutions was a Texas company and they did business the "old fashioned way". Honestly, I liked that a lot. My experience ended up being better than I could have asked for. I got to keep my phone numbers, the phone lines rang correctly and the 1 little issue I had with my voicemail, was resolved within 30 minutes. I have given out my Saleswoman's business card, to 2 of my neighbors (who were both having trouble with the same phone provider I used to have). Since the install, I have called in twice (once because I forgot my voicemail password and once because I needed my calls forwarded) and my issues were dealt with immediately. I am really glad I made the switch.
We signed up for service with them and had nothing but problems
We signed up for service with them and had nothing but problems. Our phones would ring for no reason with nobody there for hours straight. We couldn't get any real calls through. It was absolutely horrible. They said in the beginning if we weren't happy we could cancel. After a couple of months of this not getting fixed we cancelled. 4 months later we get calls from a collection agency sent by Spectrum (this is who they leased their lines from). Somehow they had our name at their address and didn't cancel our service with Spectrum and didn't pay the bills that were coming in. Then when we started looking at that and another credit that was never paid to us we found that they somehow got our office manager to pay an $8,000 cancellation fee! Nobody would respond, finally tracked down someone that responded, he stopped responding after a day. Now we are trying to get our money back. It is not worth switching to these scammers. Stay safe with a company you know.
I used to be a Ring Central/AT&T Customer
I used to be a Ring Central/AT&T Customer. I was a loyal customer for 9 years. After Unified Global Solutions offered to bring Spectrum Business internet to my building I was truly grateful. Working off of AT&T's internet was a nightmare. The connection would go out, the phones would go down and the customer service was not helpful. Ring Central was providing me with a VoIP service. The functionality was nothing compared to what Unified Global Solutions was able to provide. On top of that, I was even paying for 7 phones, but only 5 of the phones where working. I felt like Ring Central did not care about my troubles. Unified Global Solutions not only brought Spectrum Business's high speed internet. Unified Global Solutions gave me brand new phones, increased my functionality, granted me with more than double the internet speed, but also saved me over $150 a month. After calculating my savings, I now realize that I was over paying. Over the next 5 years I will be able to save up for a future vacation, a new employee or even a new car. Telecommunications was a blur to me and the representative that helped me opened my eyes up, the technician was able to fix my issues and the support team was there to help when I needed to update one of my extensions. Thank you so very much, Unified Global! I am very thankful I was able to schedule the appointment and proceed with trusting that their professionals would help my problems as they promised they could and succeeded. I truly recommend their service.

On the UGS Website, they "promise to deliver impassioned care for your business communications," as well as claiming to provide "Obsessive Customer Care, Every Account is Important", How I wish those were true statements! We have been a deeply and increasingly unsatisfied UGS customer for nearly a year. We signed their online signature 5 year "contract" sight unseen, while our salesman was assuring us there wasn't a contract at all, and that we could cancel if we didn't like it. The phone system UGS is incompatible with our internet provider (Google), and will not work properly unless we switch providers. As the Google engineers have pointed out, UGS should NEVER HAVE SOLD US THIS SYSTEM. It would never have worked without issue in our office. UGS Management has taken the position of blaming Google for the issues, even after conference calls with both UGS and GOOGLE engineers re: the problem. I trust the unwavering and consistent position of the Team at Google about why UGS's system doesn't - and won't - work with Google's equipment. The head of UGS even went as far as suggesting that the engineers at Google don't care to do their jobs! We have been through most of UGS's tech employees (several turnovers in 2020), as well as the members of their top management, in an attempt to get our phones and fax machine to work properly in our small office that requires HIPAA compliance. UGS has already been paid for the entirety of our contract and after a year of trying to reason with them about our need for a consistent product, they remain unwilling to let us out of said contract (unless we pay it in full), or offer us any option short of having to switch internet providers. Square One: from the moment their salesman walked in, UGS was made aware that we were unwilling to switch from Google. Period. Over the last year, UGS has proven themselves to be focused primarily on their contract scam, repeatedly defending their contract over our concerns for the function of our office. I have asked at every level to be released, even from ***, who also points to the solidness of their contract. Icing on top? We were never even told there was a *** Company involved! I have taken this to the top in each UGS department, but their bottom line is to explain the validity of their iron-clad contract. We signed it so we are bound to pay for it, regardless of whether it works or what their salesman told us. It feels criminal. I wish I was able to leave my contact info so that any potential customers could review the months-long string of emails and the abject dismissal of responsibility from UGS's top employees. Their own words do it more justice than I can effectively convey here. Why did I wait so long to write this review? Because I hoped I could eventually get someone there to demonstrate the claims made on their website and make it right for our small medical office. THIS IS A LOT OF MONEY. UGS has lied to our faces, taken our money, and delivered a product that doesn't work. I hope others won't make the same mistake. I'd like to think UGS is a pleasant partner if their product will actually work in your office. If it doesn't, you will be pointed to the terms of their contract you may not realize you signed, which is valued WAY beyond customer satisfaction. BUYER BEWARE.
The managed wifi has allowed us to light up our whole warehouse and now every piece of equipment in the building gets a good signal.
