Union Pacific railroad crossing

For about two months, the union Pacific train that runs beside my home has had numerous occasions of stopping for 2, sometimes 3 hours. Blocking off our railroad crossing for that period. If of an emergency we have a long drive when it is blocked. I have waited along with other vehicles for 1 hour I know of. Nothing was being repaired. I know that the chemicals that are carried on there are very dangerous if something is to happen. I have a family and home that I want to be safe. With the stopping on the tracks right by my home, not moving for 3 hours, I'm very concerned that who ever is working is not taking all the safety procedures they are suppose to. I would really like this matter to somewhat change.

Union Pacific small town concern

Valley, NE. We would love it if you would look at the storage/dumping situation of used materials in town.

From Spruce St. to 264th St. itis just piled with stuff like railroad ties. Also from Spruce St. to West Street, high piles of material.

People coming to the Veterans Club for a function have to look. Houses nearby have this as their scenic view. This is the impression we give people that are coming to our town for possibly the first time. Please look into this. Thank You.

Union Pacific harassing dangerous driver

License plate # 359 795 Truck #48674 . Every morning on my way to work at 5:30 am on Five Points rd in DeKalb Illinois your driver in this vehicle tailgates me all the way from the town of Kingston ill to hillcrest dr in DeKalb ill with his bights on again inches from my bumper . The speed limit ranges from 55 mph 45 mph to 35 mph . This is a 13 mile drive and it happens daily for weeks now . I am a 52 yr old female i drive the speed limit, one day i put on my hazard lights and pulled over so he could go around me, he didn't he stopped behind me and sat there with his bright on behind me and when i went back on the road to proceed he again tailgated me the rest of the way into DeKalb ill . There are several areas where he would be able to pass me and go about his day however it seems like he enjoys scaring woman drivers and this is a rural area full of farm fields . ODVEOSLY he has no respect for people the rules of the road or for the company that trust him to drive there equipment . I would like this person to stop harassing me on my way to work every day. Please respond to this message, if it continues i will notify the DeKalb county police and the states attorneys office Richard Amoto, and report your vehicle as being driven as a reckless endangerment while on the road . I this what you expect from your employees ? It would be nice to know how you are going to handle this and i don't want any reproductions from your driver . you may contact me at [protected], Thank You in advance for your concern .

Union Pacific blocked intersection

Location is:
U.P.R.R.
CR 352
M.P 176.02
DOT 794-760H
On Saturday, October 21, 2017 at approximately 7:45pm there were two trains at the CR 305 in Elmo, Texas. One was coming as another was on the move. The second train then began to slow down. I waited about 15 minutes before I called it in to the police station as a stopped train. First call at 7:59pm to 911. Call dropped and they call me back from [protected] where they gave me Union Pacific(UP) [protected] #1. I then called UP at 8:03 and reported the train. I was told they would give the train management a call. At 8:32pm I called back to Union Pacific where I was told they called, but no one answered. When I questioned them about what would then happen she told me, "I called, that is all I can do. They haven't returned my phone call." I told her it was ridiculous because what if there was an emergency. I am not from here I live in Dallas, TX and according to my GPS there are no alternate routes. The older lady waiting behind me told me this happens all the time. I have only experienced it one other time since I only visited 3 other times. My mom moved there about 9 months ago. She told me that was the only way in or out. I then called back 911 since your company representative in the critical emergency division apparently couldn't help. At 8:35pm when I contacted 911, they told me it wasn't reported which I knew was a lie because I talked to them and they returned my call from a [protected] phone number. How else would I have that number. I then waited about 20 minuted more then a firefighter in a civilian car asked me could he get in front on me because there was a fire and he also reported the train because he couldn't get to the other side for work. He also stated that this is very common and it happens like 3-4 times a week where the train just stalls on the tracks. He has waited as long as 2 1/2 hours he stated. I didn't have good service to look up google maps to see of an alternative route. The older woman behind me didn't say anything about it. I wondered why the people didn't move. My first question is why? There are 2 intersections there literally next to each other. If that spot is where they need to be why don't they only block the one and let the other one be open? Do you not have a way to track your trains? If so, do you not see that it is sitting? Stuck or not. That is not a place to take a break. Finally since the fireman also called it in as an emergency another train was sent to move the sitting train which also took about an extra 10-15 minutes to get the new train there and move the sitting one. I sat at that intersection about 1 hour and 15 minutes waiting for the train to move. I wasted about 45 minutes worth of gas just sitting there. It was completely dark other than the flashing red lights which was dangerous for my safety. It was also cool which I kept my car on to keep myself warm. So who is going to pay for my inconvenience? Who is going to pay if someone died in that fire due to the officers not being able to get to work. That is a very small city and they did not leave until he got there. I happened to be going his way. My moms address is 10622 County Rd 376, Terrell, TX 75161. The operators told me my call was coming from Elmo, TX so I am not sure about the specifics.
Photos attached are from Google maps. One I labeled to show that I was at intersection #1 so that you can see why I stated the intersections are close and that one can be left open. Please contact me back by email or by phone at [protected]@gmail.com or [protected]. Something about this needs to be resolved. I don't know what the outcome of the fire was. I hope you take this seriously and I will also be making a complaint with the police department about there part.

Union Pacific train had all crossing blocked

On July 19, 2017 at 12:11 pm there were two (2) trains going opposite direction blocking Canal Street, 6th Street and 9th Street. I waited for an hour for them to finally move. If it had been an emergency how would a firetruck or rescue unit get to the other side.

When switching engineers is it that difficult for them to stay back enough to let people go thru.

Union Pacific improper use of locomotive horn

Most of your trains are okay. They use the horn as required. Just one engineer lays on the horn when coming through this area. This area is a residential area. About 9:15 PM 13th of July is the incident that prompted this complaint. The track is the portion of their line that goes through Norwalk, CA. Between 605 fwy and San Gabriel River. The locomotive was going Northwest on the line. Then out of area. Desired resolution is reprimand of the engineer. Thank you.

Union Pacific train that is blocking stagecoach rd., keithville, la.

Since they have been working on the bridges between Williamson Rd., Shreveport and Stage Coach Rd., Keithville, La. the train has been blocking Stage Coach Rd. There is only one way in and out and seems to me the train could block Barron Rd Cutoff and that would solve our problem. There are 2 ways to get to Barron Rd. that would not cause hardship for that area. If we ever have a emergency we would be in hot water with no way out or in. Please consider this suggestion.

Union Pacific train

Location: Oak Valley Parkway/Palmer Road.california

I and the entire community in this vicinity are woken from a deep sleep EVERY morning at approx 4.40am by several blasts of the train horn lasting no less than twenty seconds each blast. This is totally unnecessary as there is no crossing just a straight track for at least six miles. Kindly instruct your drivers to refrain from this action. I am constantly awoken from a deep sleep and feel totally depleted for the day ahead as do my young second grade grandchildren. It's wrong! If my dog was barking or I was sounding my car horn at that early hour it would be against the law. Please get this stopped in accordance with the Noise Act!

Union Pacific train crossing tracks just east of alda, ne

There are 2 sets of tracks just east of Alda, Ne, They cross Hwy 30 a very busy Hwy. Today 3/29 at about 11:30 2 engines hooked together where using the far east racks to go north. He approached hwy 30 very slowly but there was no flagman or anyone there to stop traffic and make drivers aware that the engines were going to cross, and to make it worse it was raining so this cut down on visability somewhat. I thought there was supposed to be someone to flag traffic. Thanks Arnie Sommer my e-mail is [protected]@live.com

Union Pacific redding, california train depot

The Amtrak train going north is supposed to be in the Redding Station at about 3am. It is usually late, up to 6 hours late. The station is locked up. There are no toilet facilities or a place to sit. Early January 2017 the temperature was in the low 30s and the train was 2 hours late. Senior citizens and the handicapped can only sit on the cold concrete and pull their coat over them.
The local Redding bus pickup spots have benches that would at least allow for being seated in the cold and rain.
Supposedly the station is closed because of the homeless filling it up.
I we have to have a ticket to sit in the boarding area in the airport then we could have a train ticket to get into the station.
Really would you want your grandparents standing in a train station for up to 6 hours with no toilet and no chairs? As the freight trains whizz by on their timetable?

Union Pacific train locomotive horn testing

In early 2011 Union Pacific Railroad began testing the locomotive horns for its Western region in the middle of Denver, Colorado. While the testing is mandated by the Federal Railroad Administration, the location is not. UP decided to test here because it is most convenient for them. However, it is very inconvenient for hundreds of nearby business and homes, many of the occupants of which cannot talk on the phone, talk to each other, think or sleep due to the noise which is 110db. We have beseeched UP to stop, and their only response is to send a lawyer to act as a sounding board for our complaints, i.e. they will not stop the testing. Our neighborhood is committed to stopping it and you can see our Facebook page about this.

Union Pacific management practices

This is a very powerful company and will provide good wages and promotion if you attend the right church. I was told I could not be an executive because I was not Catholic. After discovery work it was clear the boss was telling me the facts. If you depart the company they will harass you at your next job and attempt to discredit you with lies and false statements they cannot prove. If you work there and think the senior management cares you need to take a close look. They are running a cult and you best never work at another location.

TEMPE, ARIZONA. 85282

The UNION PACIFIC RAIL ROAD property between Southern Avenue and Baseline near Kyrene in Tempe, Arizona 85282 needs to be weeded again.

I will get the Tempe City Government to do their ROW weeding, which at this time is minimal. Yours, however, is needing to be done immediately.

Thank you.

WHY do you run your trains thru redding during rush hour?! it stopped across one of the busiest intersections in town at 5:50 pm. Ridiculous.
Run all night long. Or run between 9-11 and 1-4 then 10pm to 6am. Not during commute times.

Vehicle is in private residence blocking the public walkway access.
Vehicle id number is 42658.
The business vehicle should not impeded the walkway.

Vehicle should be parked in a way that does not cause people walking to have to go around and into the street.
