United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] denied claim submitted for my vehicle and rental due to their client fault.

On 3 August 2015, the driver of a vehicle insured by UAIC failed to yield after stopping and pulled out in front of my vehicle causing my driver to strike his vehicle in the side. The police was called to the scene and did a report and ticketed the other driver that was insured by UAIC. I made contact with UAIC to file a claim and they sent out one of their appraisers who did the original estimate and would do the supplement once the repair shop determine if other damage was located. Once additional damage was notice, UAIC supplement the original estimate. That was done on 9/2/15 almost a month from the date of the accident. In the mean time I was given a discount number in order to get a rental van so I could continue to operate my business. I made over ten phone calls to UAIC to speak with Aliyah Gregg to discuss payment for my van and rental vehicle. She never answered the phone nor did she returned my calls. The appraiser estimated the damage at $2, 098.83. The rental Van cost was $764.88. In order to get my Van released from the repair shop, I had to file a claim through my insurance company. However, I didn't get reimbursed for the rental of which I was told had to come from UAIC. Today, 10/2/15, I called to get an update of my claim and stayed on the phone for over an hour waiting on hold to talk to someone from UAIC. When I finally got a person, (Jennifer) who stated they had denied my claim because their client stated it was not his fault and that he did not speak English and didn't understand how it was his fault. He was cited for failure to yield. The customer service presented by this company is very poor. My repair shop stated before they started work on my vehicle the I would need luck with this company because they have a reputation of not paying even if it's their clients fault. Claim # [protected]. Date of Accident: 8/3/15. Phone #: [protected], ext; 52068. This Company has very poor customer service and should not be allowed to do business in Georgia or any other State.

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] auto insurance/clam problem

Really terrible insurance company. My car was damaged. Claim submitted 3 weeks ago. No contact at all from the company. I have called the adjuster, Alliaya Gregg, several times. Always get her voicemail and leave a message asking for an update on the status of the claim. She NEVER returns my call. Today I called customer service to complain that I am not receiving any information from the adjuster. What does customer NO service do? They say hold one minute, then transfer me right to Ms. Gregg, the adjuster I am calling to complain about. So here we are, no car, no claim settlement, no contact, yet still paying the premium. The worst company and customer service ever. I will be reported them to BBB, insurance commissioner, and anyone else who will listen.

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] unpaid bill on their part

About a month ago I was rear ended at a standstill on glades road and I was injured a few days later and had to take off a week of worth and go the the doctors a week later. Needless to say I had some bills including the doctors and my car building up storage fees without an appraiser coming down to value the car and write a check to me and pay the storage cost and being done. Instead they have been ignoring my calls and only on some occasions do they answer. The auto shop downtown wants me to pay the fees to get rid of the car because UAIC won't pay for the car that was totaled or the storage fees. This is a simple and easy scenario where I was rear ended the lady was at fault and her insurance should have paid for all the cost period. Instead they are holding out so they are not counted for a loss on their end and I have to pay for my car that was hit by their client! This company is small and takes advantage of their status and it is terrible that their main page even quotes "Executive Officers
Our management team is directly responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and profitability of United Automobile Insurance Company." Profitability? What by not paying your bills? Exactly I am so glad the young adolescents such as me who are still not even 20 have to pay for all of your "profitability" while you sit on your chairs ignoring our calls! UAIC is criminal to say the least.

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] not paying for clients damages

Do not get or even deal with United Automobile Insurance if you do not have to! I recently got rear ended by one of UAI's client and it has been a month since their agent has even sent out an adjuster to appraise my totaled car and they still haven't paid. Its simple you hit another car, the one at fault pays for the repairs or in my case the worth of the car. Since the car is sitting in the body shop to add further damage to me, I am being forced to pay the storage fees for the car and every day that I let it stay in there it adds $70 to my already $700+ total cost that, is not my responsibility since I was not the one who ruined my car. Insurance is built to pay these fees not gain from them, and when little companies like this take advantage of young adolescents like me it by not paying their dues and banking off their clients.

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] horrible claim service

This is the worst insurance company! My vehicle was hit by one of their insured and it has been 6 weeks and still no resolution. They will do everything possible to avoid paying settlement for a claim - lie, delay, procrastinate, etc. Believe me nothing is beneath them. I unfortunately was also assigned to customer NO service representative Karen Bryan she must be the only one working there who speaks English. She is very rude and has no personality and would be better suited to a career in the funeral business or a morgue.

Looks as though this company insures only people that can not get insurance from another source or preys on illegal immigrants as they cross the border. I don't understand how they are still in business and haven't been investigated or shut down for their shady business practices.

I have filed a complaint with the State Commissioner of Insurance and encourage everyone else to do the same. Maybe after they are sick and tired of getting the same complaints, they will shut them down.

UAIC sucks!

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] total loss!

My 2001 Suburban was hit while parked (Yes Parked) in my driveway by a 2007 BMW driven by two teenagers who didn't have permission from their parents to drive it. Totaled my Suburban. I contacted my insurance and then they contact UAIC and now I am demanding they replace (not pay me for a nice down payment on a new Suburban) mine. My Husband has spoken to the claims adjuster and told him that $16, 300 would satisfy this claim. That would allow us to purchase a 2002 and put tires/brakes/fuel pump which I just had done, as well as replace the tree the BMW took out and repair sprinkler system. I am out a vehicle, inconvenience due to some stupid action of a 17 year old and they are playing hard ball. We now have to get an attorney! UAIC sucks.

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] total loss

I was in an accident and their issurer was at fault. their insurer had liabilty and both of our vehicles were a total lost. The lady turned in front of my car and we collided causing me to be knocked unconsious and have severe injuries throughtout my body. Police ticketed the lady which was also hurt but she was concerned about me more than her insurane co. I have been treated like a criminal and disrespected since the first contact i made with this company. i have been waiting on compensation for any of my property or out of pocket expenses only to get your file is still under review. The first conversation with this company adjuster Courtney, then Mei was never conforting only degrading to make me feel like i was the one wrong. They have even went so far as to supervisors Kimberly Price to Send claim to FIU to try and not compensate me for my loss. This company will try its best to pocket commission before they look into well being of someone who almost lost their life due to thier insurer carelessness. I have indures a great loss because of this only to have to go though legal measures to make sure i get treated fairly. When the judge hears and sees ALL THE EVIDENCE for my case they should just shut this company down completely. There were witnesses and pictures and i was smart enough to have recorded conversations to show the unprofessionalism of this company. People are dying daily because of someones carelessness. and people pay these people for insurance only to get treated like criminals if something happens. I ve never felt so insulted in my entire life just for driving carefully and goin on with my day only to make from that day only to be a total nightmare that wont go away dealing with this company. /just kno their main objective is to get you the lowest amount to put commisiion in tjier pocket or to try their best to try and find some fault so they can try not to pay you but I PROMISE ON THE LIFE OF ME THAT I ALMOST LOST BECAUSE OF THIS I WILL MAKE SURE THIS COMPANY IS FOUND OUT AND LET SOMEONE WHO ACT LIKE THEY CARES COMPENSATE ME FOR MY TOTAL LOSSES EVEN IF THE JUDGE HAS TO ORDER IT..

don't know how is that this people can still operating, there has to be an agency who monitors this kind of scam companies, somebody is paying a handful of dollars for insurance and we the ones that are involved in some kind of accidents with their policy holders are the ones to pay the price, just be aware who else besides amco sell insurance for this people and let family and friends know what kind of ### company they are and ask to pass the word around, it has been hell dealing with this people, i wish somebody could wave their little wand and have them disappear from earths face.

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] no good insurance policy

I brought an automobile insurance policy from united automobile insurance company. When I purchased the policy I was told three times that it was full coverage everything except roadside assistance. The lady kept going over and over saying that you have full coverage. She told me to go to the nearest office to sign my paper work. I had three cars insured when I got to the place a man told me that he needs to see all three cars. So the next two day I took another car when I got there with the second car it was another man there he told me that I didn't have to do that they did not need to see the other two cars. To make a long story short I had a accident in one of my vehicles. Lo & behold we called the insurance company for two days just for them to tell me that I didn't have full coverage. Iwas paying full coverage I got hurt and had to have surgery they didn't give me a dime. After the accident they send me another policy that was full coverage. But what happened before. If there is a lawyer out there that can help me. Please do so. I've called 3 I got no aanswer.

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] repairing damaged truck

This insurance company is a poor excuse for even calling themselves insurance company. I do believe they'll insure any one. It took this company three months to pay for the damages that was done to my truck by one of their insurer. There insurer hit my truck and fled the scene. They kept telling me that they had to investigate, investigate what there insurer never reported the accident or report there truck stolen but they want to give me a hard time in repairing my truck. I could never get in touch with my adjuster his supervisor Antonia Campell had a very smart a jazzy smart mouth like they were doing us a favor. They didn't want to give us a car that would accommodate a family of six they wanted to pay for a com pac car only. United Automobile Insurance Company located in here in Georgia and across the way need to not do business at all.

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] unpaid claims and poor service

My car was hit by one of United Automobile Insurances' insured on October 30th, 2010. My family and I went "around and around" with this insurance company for a few days on whether or not their insured had insurance with them. After about 3-4 days after we called them back, we were told he did have insurance. We took our car to a collision specialist to get it repaired on our insurance plan AllState Insurance. When our insurance company learned that United Automobile Insurances' policy holder had some type of insurance, AllState called the collision center and told them to stop the work on our car. When we called United Automobile Insurance back several weeks later they advised us that their adjuster deemed our car a "total" loss. It's now one month later and we still don't have our car, no money for our car or a check from United Automobile Insurance. I have now loss three days of work due to not having my car. I have hired an attorney, contacted the BBB and the Texas Department of Insurance to file serveral complaint's and a law suit against this company. If you ask me, both of these companies are a SHAM..

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] customer service

On Oct. 2nd 2010 my car was rear ended by a policy holder of United Automobile Insurance Company. I had to be taken to the Emergency room for some minor injuries. After missing work the next day due to my injuries and a lack of transportation, I was finally able to get hold of the police report and determine that UAIC was the insurer of the guy that hit me. I filed a Claim on Friday morning the 22nd and was assigned a claims adjuster for medical damages and automotive damages. I immediately called both and left messages for both. After not receiving a return call i tried again later in the day and left another message. Halfway through Monday the I still had not received a call back so I called customer no service 4 times in a row until i found someone that was able to connect me with my auto adjuster, who basically told me that he had no information to give me and that they would not provide a rental car for me to drive while the claim was being processed. Since then I left a message for the supervisor to make my complaint and never received a call back. When i finally got her on the phone she was less than sympathetic to my complaints and offer no resolution to them. Its been well over a week since the accident and I have no car to drive no information involving my claim and the damage to my car. In fact all i have is a missed day of work a missed day of school and multiple unreturned phone calls. This insurance company is completely unprofessional and unwilling to go outside of their policy at all to take care of my transportation needs.

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] claims management

A quick summery:

If one of their clients damages your car, the only way that I have found to get a fair settlement of a claim is to have your car repaired and get a cheap rental car while yours is being repaired.

My car was "rear-ended" by one of their cliants. UAIC sent their adjuster out and UAIC sent me a check for $175 less than my lowest estimate on a $676 repair job. I offered to accept a fair estimated repair amount to settle the claim. They refused the offer and were very rude in the conversation. I was willing to settle without repairing the car because I did not want to deal with the repair process. Now, I am having the car repaired and getting rental, costing UAIC more money and disrupting my life. The total bill will exceed my offer and I will be dealing with the hassels of not using my own car.

I will say that I have been "rear ended" at least four times in the last 10 years, by four different insurance company's clients. UAIC has been the only company to act this way.

FILE A COMPLAINT WITH YOUR STATES DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE AND LOOK INTO HAVING THEIR PRIVILEGE TO DO BUSINESS IN YOUR STATE REVOKED!

They are by far the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with! Your only chance of getting a call back or any kind of settlement offer is to document all calls and interactions with them and the outcome of every conversation and then file a complaint with any and all possible agencies. The best is the Department of insurance.

After dealing with them for the last 4 months I will be starting a petition to have their authority to conduct business in the state of Arizona revoked.

FILE A COMPLAINT WITH YOUR STATES DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE! Only way to get a returned call.

I own a mercedes benz E 550, 2009. One day I unfortunately hyperplain on the florida turnpike and spun three times bouncing off the metal rail on the right shoulder emergency lane. Lucky I was able to move my vehicle towards that direct and not near other vehicles that were near me. I pushed my SOS button in my vehicle and got the mercedes benz taken to the nearest dealership for repair. So happens my insurance company, (UAIC) United automoblie Insurance Company, doesnt meet with the required labor rates as the dealership. They came up with their own rates and said I should of taken it to another auto body shop other than the dealership. Really, Im going to take my brand new mercedes to a Mom and Pop shop?! I DONT THINK SO! Well coming in at an end result, I had to pay out of pocket for the left over amount my insurance company decided not to pay for. I have NEVER in my 18 years of driving have never heard of an insurance company that doesnt pay out the total amount of damages done. I dont understand why this insurance company UAIC states I have FULL coverage when its obvious that I dont. I HIGHLY recommend you stay away from this insurance company. Unless you want to get hosed like I did. My damages were close to 20, 000, I had front and rear damaegs, so just imagine how much I had to come out of pocket not including my 1000 deductable. So please dont get tricked in with they're low monthly payments, its cheap for a reason. Remember the cheap always comes out more expensive! I hope my experience helps you make a right decision on purchasing your next automobile insurance. Oh and I left UAIC and went to progressive.

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] car repairs

Don't buy insurance through this company and hope someone who does never hits you... They rip off folks that their clients hit!

This company does not have a 24/7 number you can call for claims as some links say they do... Only monday-friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm est.

Their client hit my car on 3/5/10 at 5:15 pm so I had to call on 3/8/10 to make a claim and was told an adjuster would call me in 3 to 5 days, well on 3/15/10 I had to call again and was told the same thing. Unbelieveable... I heard nothing until I called again on 3/22/10 and demanded an adjuster to come give an estimate that day! He told me in 3 to 4 days uaic would call me to let me know the estimate was approved... Well on 3/26/10 I had to call them to find out if it was approved in which it had been approved and they wanted to know what shop had my car... It was still sitting in my driveway!

Now they want me to pay $228.87 to the repair shop for betterment of the muffler that their client damaged. This is ridiculous! If their client had not been text messaging she would have seen our car stopped so why should we have to pay for betterment? I did not need a new muffler until she hit my car!

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] fixing damaged vehicle

My vehicle was parked and was hit by someone who was insured by UAIC .I have a '99 Mercedes E320, Itook my vehicle in for an appraisle from Three different Collisons Business's.There was a $500 different among the Three.UAIC had some one come out and take a picture of the damages, the adjuster called me to info me that he was offering me a settlement in the amount of $734.00.I informed him of the Three quotes that I had gotten and he told me that my quotes were ridicules.I told him that all I wanted was my car to be fixed properly, he insisted that he wouldn't pay the smallest of the Three quote's which was $2097.These people have a bad reputation of doing business, this I was told from each place of business that i went to.Needless to say they never paid they amount it took to fix my car right.Big up to Lauren Dye of "Ferguson collison Center" in Norman Oklahoma, she told me in the beginning that I wouldn't be liable for one cent and she stuck to her work and fixed my car the right way, even though they didn't get paid in full fromm UAIC.These people should not be in business at all!

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] the way my insurance claim has been handled

I have been dealing with this claim for more than two months now with UAIG, after a flood occured in Miami Beach and my car took on water, we immediately called our nearest agent and filed a claim, our vehicle was towed to a UAIG authorized shop, they said nathing was wrong with the car and just changed the oil and transmission fluid, the seats and carpets just vacummed. After our car was received and turned into us we immediatly notice that the carpet and under the seats still had moisture and was building up rust. Then after driviing the car for about a week the transmission started acting up, we again our our agent who was then rude and handled our complaint in a nasty matter, the car was then inspected by an UAIG appraiser who said he felt nathing wrong with the car. We then took the car back and now have no car because the transmission completely went out on us. After calling our agent again she was rude and not very helpful to helping us with our vehicle, telling us we just need to take it to the dealership and they will send out another appraiser to look at the vehicle. Its been two weeks that I have been without a car and still the insurance company is taking their time and not being helpful. After experiencing how the UAIG team works I will no longer do business with them and dont recommend them to anyone.

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] stolen vehicle

My vehicle was stolen from in front of my house on 05-11-2009. I contacted my local office in Plano, TX spoke to a Melinda, Tammy and Jennifer on the phone with a conversation today with a Christine. It seems to me like many others out their that this Insurance group does not believe in helping their customers but rather treat them like their not important to their bottom line. I have just gotten the run around with them and its costing me more than they like to believe. Good hard lesson learned. Full coverage should have at least had covered the recovery and damages but by Christine at UAIG they are not paying anything due to the amount is under deductible amount. GEEEZ were do they get off.

United Automobile Insurance Company [UAIC] worst insurance company!!

I was in a wreck October 23, 2008. At a stop light a car rear ended me hitting me into another car in front of me and then instead of hitting the brakes, the car behind me hit me again -TOTALLING my suv! Of course the person behind me had United Automobile Insurance and as you can imagine it is now February 15, 2009 and i am still waiting for my settlement check and my bodily injury check! The first month of my claim the Insurance company never contacted me and when we did finally get ahold of them they refused to take liability even though in the police report the car behind me admitted to hitting us and that they were not even paying attentin when the wreck occured! So UAI finally started to process our claim and told the body shop to go ahead and try to fix my car when the body shop originally told me it was beyond repair. Now UAI is trying to say that I told the body shop to start repairing my car. Even the body shop is arguing that I didnt tell them to start working on the car and that UAI told them to. The total damages to my car total over $8, 000 but they only want to give us half of that and give the other half to the body shop. I even got my insurance company (Allstate) involved and they got me a rental car for a month because UAI wouldnt pay for me a rental car. When discussing that I deserve the full amount my car is worth the woman that was in charge of my claim (Erica Subberath/Subberuth (check spelling for last name) starting laughing and cussing to my step father over the phone (the car was in his name). My mother contacted the Texas Board of Insurers and gave them our complaint and when United Automobile Insurance got contacted about it they completely lied about every detail of the claim and said that it was us that wasnt returning their phone calls and dragging our feet trying to resolve the claim! The body injury claim guy (Richard Green) that we were dealing with didnt call me for two and half months after the wreck. I was taken away in an ambulance from the wreck and they had no idea if i was alright or not, dead or alive.. and didnt seem too worried about finding out. I didnt have any broken bones or anything but it did keep me from working at my job for two weeks which is a big cut in my income being an independent college student. I had to have help getting up out of bed or getting into bed, standing up, getting dressed, etc.. because my body was so badly bruised and whiplashed. I FINALLY got my statement recorded with him two weeks ago on a monday which i was assured that i would hear back from Mr. Green at the end of the week but still, two weeks later going on three, have no heard back. I have left countless messages on Mr. Greens voicemail to contact me as soon as him can but still have heard nothing back.

We are finally going through our own insurance (Allstate) and they are going to take my car and giving me the full $8, 000 for the car, therefore United Automobile is going to have to pay the body shop whatever they owe them and still give me my bodily injury check.

If you have to deal with this company my heart goes out to you and buy lots of advil and maybe take up boxing or something to get all your anger out after having to talk to these incompetent claim adjusters!

Its going on four months now and im praying i dont have to deal with these people ever again! Please stay away from United Automobile Insurance!

My daughter was recently rear-ended in July 2010 by a driver that had absolutely no driver's license. There were no injuries and its apparent that the accident was the other driver's fault. I had my daughter call the police and make an accident report because I know all too well that driver's will lie about the facts of what actually occurred. Yes, he was issued a citation, but the owner of the vehicle had UAI. I had never heard of this company before at all however; I now know why. I have had the most difficult time dealing with this insurance company. The represenatives are unprofessional procrastinators with no effective communication. After a several weeks had passed, I contacted my claims adjuster (Maria Reyes) while on Military Duty. She explained to me that she wanted me to complete forms that she sent via mail with the self-addressed stamp and envelope. Needless to say, there was not a self-addressed stamp or envelope in the mailed correspondence and most of the information that is requested on the form was detailed on the accident report. I was to receive a self address stamp and envelope in a few days. It has been almost a month and nothing has been received via mail. She has since indicated via telephone that the claim would more than likely not be paid due to the fact that the (non-license) driver was not a driver on the policy after an adjuster had already come out to analyze the damages. I didn't have the opportunity to meet the adjustor (Amanda Castillo), but my daughter stated that she didn't say one word while analyzing the cost of the damages. She gave her a quote and left. However, the claims adjuster (Maria Reyes) was very rude. It's very ironic that the professionalism is unacceptable, expecially when I received a letter from the company stating the following: "This letter serves as acknowledgement of your claim. We look forward to resolving the claim in a prompt and equitable manner." Although I have turned all the investigating over to my insurance company (USAA), I will file a lawsuit against the owner of the vehicle too, especially if I have to pay for my own repairs using my insurance. In addition, I'm filing accomplaint with the Texas Board of Insurers, BBB, will notify the media, and writing a letter to my Govenor because something should be done regarding this insurance company. A class action lawsuit wouldn't be a bad deal.

I am soooo glad to have read these complaints and comments. I too am having to deal with UAI. It is now July, and I placed a claim with them back in April. The adjustor also took 2-1/2 months to even pick up the phone to call me! I sent the adjustor (Sherri Lopez), several faxes with supporting documents of every piece of paper I thought she might need. Now she's asking for another piece of paper that I have no control over, and said that I should have been aware of it back in April. They are soooo full of crap! They drag out and prolong settling their claims. There is one professional rep there (Todd Hawkins), who quickly handled his end of the claim, and settled within a month of the origination date. Whenever I call to speak to Ms. Lopez's supervisor, she immediately picks up the phone. Huh! She won't even return a phone call from any messages I leave for her, but she'll pick up instantly upon asking for a supervisor or her manager. I totally agree that UAI SUCKS, and I also hope to NEVER HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN! How can the Texas Auto Insurance Board allow them to keep their licenses to operate in this state? Totally unprofessional, lacking in attention to details, and they prolong their lawful responsibility to address these claims in a timely manner. When I last spoke to Ms. Lopez, she told me I may have to wait until July 26th before she can give me an answer or even discuss settlement, in lieu of the fact that I submitted all documents to her by early May. I even have doctors calling me requesting settlement of the bills, and they have spoken to UAI directly to no avail. How pompous can you get?

If anyone has any idea as to how to expedite dealing with these people, PLEASE ADVISE! They are simply a joke and should not be in business!

I was rear ended at a red light also. I was dead stopped and the first at the light. The man who hit me could not speak english. I called his insurance company, received a claim number, and an appointment for an estimate - the cops were not called as my truck was only scratched - but the estimate was $750. The adjuster did not call me for weeks - when he did, he denied my claim saying that i put my truck in reverse at the red light and backed into his client. I happened to have eye witnesses - they refused to contact becauese they work in the same building - the accident happened less than a mile from my office at lunch time. I was lucky that people i knew saw it happen.

I have filed complaints with TDI, BBB, TDI Fraud investigation, and ICE. I am not stopping - something criminal is happening here.
