On Wednesday, March 30th I visited Office Depot #3308 in Daphne Alabama. I walked in to exchange an Epson ink cartridge. Kevin Whitehurst refused to allow me to talk to the manager and also blocked my path. He also said, "It ain't no way we can look up a receipt." I told him that Office Depot can look up the receipt from my phone number and another young lady in the store did access my receipt for me. At this point the general manager told me to retrieve the additional three cartridges and he would be glad to exchange them.
Upon my return with all four cartridges, the manager had left for the day and John Prichett took it upon himself to not only refuse to help me, he yelled at me in front of customers and humiliated me by throwing the ink cartridges back to me and telling me repeatedly I don't care, and the manager is not coming back until tomorrow.
Considering I am employed at two universities and we often have bids with Office Depot, having a disgruntled and humiliated professor is not very cost effective considering the number of individuals that network within academia.
Desired outcome: The employees John Pritrchett and Kevin Whitehurst should be repremanded and required to attend inservice(s) on customer relations.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
