I have been a loyal customer of your stores for over 30 years. Yesterday, May 21, 2021 at approx. 10:30 am, I had a horrible and disrespectful experience at your Daphne, AL store. I purchased several things with my debit card. I left the store and a man stopped me at the outside doors accusing me of stealing. He never said who he was nor did he have his badge in plain view to let me see who he was. He was very disrespectful, in my personal space and demanded that he see my receipt. I told him no and he would not move out of my way. I have no reason to steal anything out of your store. I work very hard for my money and he got loud with me and refused to let me leave. He was very unprofessional and in my opinion, picked me out of a crowd simply because I was a black female. In these times of a pandemic, he should have not been in my face, nor talking to me like a common criminal. I gave him the receipt and he never apologized or anything. When he claimed that the alarm went off, it never did. And I never heard it twice when he claimed it did. I am demanding an apology from the store manager and the employee that put me though this. I spend thousands of dollars in that store a month. I am in that store at least 5 times a week sometimes. The employees knows my face and have known me as a loyal customer for years. I didn't like the man's expression on his face as if he thought he had caught a thief. He had a smirk look on his face the whole time. I demanded to speak to a manager and he would not bring him. He only said you can get a manager if you want to but you won't be leaving until i see the receipt. When he saw the receipt he never said I am sorry man for the inconvenience. I had a few choice words for him and I expressed how I felt. He never apologized he insinuated that I was stealing and that was a damn lie. I do not appreciate the disrespect. I am a very well respected business owner. I own 3 businesses in the area and I serve on several non profit boards in my local area. I have a done a lot in the community helping to bring jobs to the area and I training consultant. I saw that he needs someone to talk to him about his unprofessional behavior. I called the store as I went out the store and talked with the assistant manager. She assured me that someone would follow up. However, I wanted corporate to know everything that happened to me and that someone is done with him. He is a liability to the company. I will not be disrespected not by him or no one else. It was ridiculous and I decided to return all the items that I purchased. I will not patronize a place like that I do not feel comfortable. I felt my life was treated and I will not be back in the store.
Desired outcome: I want an formal apology from not only the store manager but the employee for his incompetence
