I was put on the prescription of Ozempic in October of 2024. I currently have 2 insurance coverages. UPMC and UPMC for You. Both are currently on file at Walmart Pharmacy. I brought it to my primary care physicians' attention that I could not afford this medication. To which she replied that with Medicaid You should not be paying over $5 for any prescription. So for the past 5 Months I paid $50 for each Time i had to refill the Ozempic medication. When I question WalMart they said it was because the Physician that faxed in the order was not registered under Medicaid. I was not aware of these types of guidelines. To which I feel that the pharmacy should have either notified me or told me that those guidelines are in place. Being that the Medicaid is on file, they were well aware of my situation being that I had 2 insurance coverages.
Claimed loss: 5 months of Ozempic at 50 each.. $250.00
Desired outcome: Please refund the amount difference of $250.00 I had a zero co pay this month of March. Due to me bringing it to their attention.
